Why My Jewelry Sells the Same Day I List It
“I always say I do not know why I yawn when I turn the camera on.”
FULL TRANSCRIPT
Good morning everybody. It's Carrie
Seller Revenue and today we're going to
look at what sold for me this last week.
And it's not always the most expensive
thing. It's the things I pull that I
think maybe you could learn from and
hopefully we will together. Um Rhode
Island is coming right up. If you know
of any good opportunities for jewelry
that I should stop in and check out,
please uh like caps, put your comment in
caps so that I don't miss it or reach
out on the about section um for me in my
link tree or the about me in YouTube.
Also, the consignments if you've sent
some in are being processed while I'm
gone. I did I will have everything
sorted before I leave. They will be
getting photographed. So, the work is
not stopping just because I'm going to
be gone. So, if I come home to a whole
bunch more consignments in my uh mail
bin, they will be fine because they'll
get started as soon as I get back. So,
let's jump in the wet solds, everyone.
Also, advanced boot camp is again on
this Wednesday. So, if you want to join
in, it's totally free. Just send us a
message and we will get you the login
information. This week, we're talking
about sourcing for full-time business,
which is a different game than sourcing
part-time. All right, here's my weekend
review here.
Let's see what we always check. We
always check this. I hope that they
change this soon. They're supposed to
change it so that we have a different
dashboard for our lives. I will really
like that because it's very hard for me
to decipher the numbers on the dashboard
before I break them down. Um, here's
sales via auction is $5,000.
I always say I do not know why I yawn
when I turn the camera on. Um, $5,000
for auctions. That sounds about right.
Um, but boy, they stay pretty steady.
But I've always said that I have fairly
consistent results on those. Not no real
great highs, but no real horrible lows
either. So, I go down here, and I'm
hanging on repeat buyers at the 22%
mark. Um, I think this gets heavily
influenced with the eBay Live. Also, go
down here. I charged 1,400 for shipping,
but I paid 1,500. That's okay. I'm
running a shipping promo, so I knew that
that would happen. But I think I've
absolutely gotten the dollars of sales
back out of that promo. So, I am happy
with it. All right, let's jump and look
at this An Klein necklace. Not all An
Klein necklaces are going to sell really
very high. And this one wasn't
necessarily super high, but for being an
Anlein necklace, I thought it did okay.
It wasn't the iconic one. It wasn't one
of the real high dollar ones, but I
think it did pretty well. I think I took
an offer at 36 on that one. Simply Vera
Wang is not a brand I necessarily seek
out to resale, but there are things that
are very good in a statementbased type
of items. This was a good statementbased
necklace. It sold in about a month.
Actually, it' be 2 months now, so it did
take a little while at 37.49.
So, here is a vintage Napierre necklace.
It had a big chunky curb chain on it. I
listed it on the 25th, so it sold
relatively very quickly for 52.49.
I'm going to ask if you guys see a
pattern here in my sales this week. And
I think it's more of a fashion what's
hot, what's not type of pattern. So pay
attention. Here is a Monae necklace.
It's also big and chunky gold tone and
it sold it take it a couple months to
sell at 47.49.
And this one, you got to watch those
older Monaes. They will be signed on the
clasp on top and they are really on that
clasp on top is the only marking a Monae
that was on here. So, we got to watch
out for those. Western Germany. This was
a very cool pink glass necklace. This
was listed clear back in April, but I
had mispriced it. I messed with it a
couple days ago and it sold. Crazy how
that happens, right? So, $45.49 for that
Western Germany necklace. J Crew again.
I don't know. know I'm having fairly
good luck with but they have to be the
right style. They have to be either one
of the iconic ones or a big flashy bib
necklace. This one sold pretty well at
37.49 in about a month and it was a
consignment item.
Here is a KJL necklace is the Egyptian
revival. This is also was a consignment
item. There it is signed KJL. It's
pretty plain, you know, not a super
exciting one, but it's got the look that
people are going after right now. So
happy to take the $74.99.
This was a handmade blue striped glass
beaded necklace,
but it was really neat. So I wanted to
show up that glass right up front. That
striping, the coloring. And because here
on somebody's phone, you're not going to
be able to see what makes this necklace
valuable. The neck the necklace is
valuable because all the cool coloring
in the inside. And on here, you can
hardly tell it. So go ahead and zoom in
on that. either this or that for your
first picture so people can see what
it's about. That took a couple months to
sell. Also,
J Crew statement necklace. This was
listed a couple months ago. There it is.
It's nice. It's big. It's bold. Sold for
$60.
So, earcuffs kind of freak me out a
little bit. I'm never quite sure what to
do with them. I'm never quite sure what
they are. I they weren't a thing when I
was trying to be cool or in style, but
these I thought I would take a chance on
them. And they sold for $60 right away.
So, I guess I was glad I didn't just
melt them because they're definitely way
over melt price, but it was out of my
comfort zone.
Gold filled polish stone bracelet. This
one I listed, it was on consignment in
July, but it did finally sell at $74.99.
This is just a layered
beaded faux pearl. Actually, I don't
think it's faux pearl. I think it is
pearl necklace. I did not clean it up.
It is what it is. But it had lots of
good chunky chunky greenness to it,
which is usually not a good thing, but
in this way, it really was. And it was
listed for the first time in July, so it
just needed a price adjustment. What do
you know? Me overpricing something and
then it needed price adjusted. Same way
here. Uh I had it listed too high. It
list it sold at $44.99 pretty quickly
when the price got dropped. Just a
single strand of faux pearls. And
there's the Caroli hang tag. Sometimes
it just says Caroli on the item, but
this one actually had a little hang tag.
Little gold fil locket necklace. There
it is. There's where it says the gold
filled part right there. And then it's
also signed right there. Uh I think this
was the offer. I think was 80 something
on that. And it was only listed for a
couple days. It listed October 4th. This
was a beautiful cross. And it's just the
pendant, but I knew somebody would love
it. Do I think it's moonstone? Yes, I
do. Am I sure? No. Um I'm really careful
about my gemstones, but it sold for $85
anyway. So don't be afraid to just
describe it. say what it is if you're
not sure and then people can make their
own decision because I don't want to put
moonstone and be wrong. Um this so this
was listed for the first time September
17th so it didn't take it too long.
Here's a Trafari and it is the chevron
pattern and it is a bracelet sold for
$59.99. This was in really nice
condition and it listed September 19th
so it did not take too long.
This was first listed August 30th, which
is fine. I think I don't think it got
listed till the beginning of September.
There's the mark. And it is a shadow box
type of style. So, that is a good
keyword for these. And $68 for these
earrings. Definitely overmelled on that.
I've been selling a lot of rosaries
lately. I do usually list the glass ones
