Hi guys.

0:02

Okay, tell me how the volume [snorts] is

0:06

people.

0:08

I still don't have the high-tech things

0:10

that I need.

0:13

Like I think I'm supposed to have a

0:14

microphone.

0:17

I do have a microphone. It's behind me,

0:19

but it's not it's not hooked up. So,

0:21

there's nothing we can do about that.

0:22

Um, but I'm so excited. Today, we're

0:25

gonna hang out with Sonia Reports. Sonia

0:28

or Sonia? I can't wait um for her to

0:30

correct me and I um can't wait to meet

0:34

her. So, I'm going to Oh, it does sound

0:36

good so far. Thank you. Oh my gosh, I

0:40

felt so bad on the other one and I you

0:43

guys told me like there was I there was

0:45

like nothing I could do in the middle. I

0:47

was like, I don't know how to fix this,

0:49

which is so classic me. So, I will not

0:52

touch this thing phone in front of me so

0:56

that it keeps working. Um, so we're

0:59

waiting for Sonia to join us and um

1:02

before she does, I will just say that I

1:06

her she did like a real or a story one

1:09

time that I saw and it like stopped me

1:12

dead in my tracks. Like the way she was

1:14

using her Luna, I think it was or maybe

1:18

it was a Scott. I was like what? Like

1:21

that is amazing. And then her

1:23

contributions. Okay, Sonia just asked.

1:26

There you go. Uh her contributions

1:30

to

1:32

like to our Facebook group are so good.

1:35

So so good. So let's welcome her in.

1:37

Let's see if it worked. Did I press the

1:39

right button?

1:40

I did press the right button. Yay.

1:44

>> I'm so excited to be here.

1:46

>> Oh my gosh. You're as beautiful in real

1:49

life live as you are in all your

1:51

pictures. How

1:54

>> Thank you. You're just cool. I've been

1:55

so excited to meet you.

1:57

>> Oh my gosh, I'm so excited, too. Thank

1:59

you for saying yes. I was getting ready

2:02

today and I was like, should I put my

2:03

red lipstick on? Um, should I do it in

2:07

honor?

2:08

>> You shall. [laughter]

2:09

>> I should, but I was like, it might look

2:12

weird in my yoga class later today. I

2:14

don't know. Maybe not. Maybe it won't.

2:17

Oh, show up and rock it,

2:18

>> right? Just show up, put everything on

2:20

and be extra. But, um, I was just

2:23

telling everybody how your use of the

2:26

your planner, your Laurel Denise

2:27

planner, like I just saw a real or a

2:29

story or something and it like stopped

2:30

me in my tracks and then your

2:32

contributions to the Facebook group are

2:35

just always so good and so helpful. And

2:38

um, I had to reach out and be like, can

2:41

we chat? What are you doing? How are you

2:43

such an expert? So, thank you for saying

2:45

yes. And I'm so excited to hear and see

2:49

what you're going to share with us

2:50

today. So, do you want to give kind of

2:52

like an overview? I know you could share

2:54

so much. So, just an overview of like

2:57

what you are hoping to show and then we

3:00

can dive in and people can get excited.

3:03

>> Yay. Okay. So, the invisible hand we see

3:05

here is my husband who's trying to help

3:06

me set up the cameras.

3:07

>> Oh, we love that. We love that.

3:09

[laughter]

3:10

>> Yes. I'm gonna send you a request to

3:12

join the live from another profile so

3:14

that I have you have the bird's eye view

3:15

to my planner

3:17

>> and it's from Boxic Creative.

3:19

>> Okay,

3:20

>> it should be that.

3:22

>> Yes. Except

3:25

>> I've never done this.

3:27

>> It'll be a first for both. We'll make it

3:29

work.

3:29

>> It will. Are we gonna split into three?

3:31

>> Oh my gosh,

3:33

>> guys. And then now

3:36

>> this is amazing.

3:38

Oh, this is so fun, guys. This is gonna

3:41

be reposted so you guys can like zoom in

3:44

too at the end, like if you want to

3:46

rewatch that that dashboard. That's

3:49

insane.

3:51

>> Yes. Oh my gosh.

3:52

>> So inspiring.

3:54

>> Thank you. Thank you. Oh my god. It's I

3:56

have to tell you, you are what I hope.

3:59

Do you don't hear an echo, right? And

4:01

hopefully no one else does.

4:02

>> I don't. But I don't if people maybe

4:04

just

4:05

>> if people do put in the comments I'm

4:06

able to see them and then I'll fix it.

4:09

>> Yeah. Add it in the comments or even in

4:11

the question box, y'all. Oh, and if you

4:12

have questions that come up, put them in

4:14

the question box.

4:15

>> Yes. Yes. Yes. Okay. So, quick um just

4:19

intro. I want to first start by saying

4:22

that you you and your planners and your

4:25

philosophy, the way you approach your

4:26

content has truly given me so much space

4:30

to heal out loud, to heal the way that I

4:34

like could heal and it's been so so so

4:38

validating.

4:39

>> That is so kind. I'm literally tearing

4:42

up. Thank you.

4:43

>> Yes. Yes. So, a little bit of

4:45

background. I I was a news reporter for

4:47

many many years. uh 14 years and then I

4:50

became a mama and after I gave u birth I

4:53

got really really bad postpartum

4:55

depression. So this

4:57

>> yes

4:58

>> it happens to so many have we had a

5:01

story have we had a DM about this

5:03

before?

5:04

>> I don't think so. Not about this

5:05

particular thing.

5:06

>> Keep going. I won't derail. I want to

5:08

but I'm not going to

5:09

>> Oh my god. Please do. I I want to hear

5:12

your story too cuz it's so important.

5:13

more of us I think need to speak up

5:15

about it in our experience. And so for

5:18

me when I found this journal I was at

5:21

the point in my jour my healing journey

5:24

where I was just trying to like

5:27

understand what was going on. I had

5:28

never ever in my life experienced

5:30

depression experience any of the

5:32

symptoms I was experiencing. And so for

5:35

me, I was just trying to understand um

5:39

and I I remember I always loved like

5:41

planners and documenting things and that

5:43

sort of thing. And um when I found your

5:46

page, it was just so

5:48

affirming like I was like, "Oh, yes."

5:51

Like when you said planners for the way

5:53

that you think and you know, and things

5:55

like that, I was like, "Oh, it's all

5:56

over the place." So hopefully, you know,

5:58

this will fit it all. Yes, totally.

6:01

There's a room for all the spaghetti of

6:03

what we think.

6:03

>> Yes. Yes. And so little by little um I

6:07

like month by month I would curate um

6:10

different things to track and that

6:13

became something that was like a

6:15

motivator because uh later in my journey

6:18

I realized that a lot of the um

6:19

postpartum depression was undiagnosed

6:21

ADHD and I went through the testing

6:23

process and everything I know and so

6:26

then suddenly everything made sense and

6:29

I was like oh my god so many of the ways

6:31

that I used to be successful before is

6:35

because it was my dopamine running at

6:38

all at all cylinders and journalism is

6:41

one of those fields that like you know

6:43

is good for it. It runs on dopamine and

6:46

so when I had a baby and it disrupted

6:48

all the systems I had built for myself.

6:50

I was it was really unsettling,

6:53

extremely unsettling. And so it made

6:55

healing from that postpartum so much

6:58

harder. And so then I I paired up with

7:00

an ADHD coach and they gave me a lot of

7:03

little tips and tricks that I used this

7:06

planner to implement. And that is how I

7:10

ended up hacking like my dopamine hits

7:13

if you will.

7:14

>> Yeah.

7:14

>> To get things done and to and to figure

7:17

out like what was going on with me. And

7:20

so so long story short, I'll and I'll

7:23

I'll end my personal story on this and

7:24

we'll get into the planner. Long story

7:26

long story short, I ended up like going

7:29

um getting diagnosed with PMDD and I

7:32

took I literally took my planner and I

7:34

was like I've been tracking for the last

7:36

6 months and I noticed a pattern around

7:39

my cycle. Right, the week before my
