the homeless crisis in l.a and you have

like big plans of what you want to do

there

california should be the model of the

country yet

uh california is an embarrassment

throughout the entire country when you

think of homelessness you just think of

california yeah

there are a lot of homeless folks who

fell upon economically hard times they

could

they just need a roof they need a shower

they need the ability to go to a job

interview have a razor and clean up and

and go get a job but they're also you

know

15 that are uh on subs or abusing

substances

15 uh with mental health issues and the

state should be there for them and

streets not the place people dying on

our street is not the place

well right now we have a problem with

hundreds of thousands of people leaving

california every year

but yeah so i've got to win on yes on

a double election uh and if i get in

uh then i would be running again next

year in 2022. so it's back-to-back

campaigns

being here the sport's amazing

i want to hear from all of you because

i'm trying to learn more

about how to brand and how to expand our

campaign for governor

my one of my concerns is whether

california is going to take the

cdc's direction in allowing vaccinated

people to continue their lives without

masks and also

allowing businesses to reopen there are

40

of us that won't be vaccinated and so

i'm worried about potential lockdowns

again that have bankrupted a lot of

businesses

the way to really solve that is using

science to our advantage

ventilation filtration while being able

to stay open

like we know the odds of a coveted cloud

forming

here out in the open is next to nothing

in a sealed up classroom we have

problems

but that can be solved with filtration

and ventilations uh

systems not shutdowns i feel like one of

the things that kind of gets neglected

oftentimes

is just like infrastructure so i was

just wondering if that was part of your

plan

infrastructure is one of our five major

issues one of the most beautiful things

that we could do tomorrow

is the government could send out a

request for proposal what

private companies are willing to build

us roads

give us proposals of those who wants to

build a variable toll road

traffic going into la is bad at one part

of the day traffic going out of la is

bad another part of the day how much

for six tunnels under the 405 that go

one way and then go the other way and if

folks want to use them you pay a small

toll

people who don't want to pay a toll get

to use the 405 with less traffic

as somebody's grown up in the la area my

family's had to move two times because

of gentrification

and lack of affordable housing the issue

isn't just affordable housing we need

total upscale of our housing more houses

absolutely

we need to get the government out of the

way

folks you pull a building permit for a

ceiling fan now

you sometimes sit waiting for the permit

to show up for three to four weeks

housing reform is a state of

emergency and on day one i will declare

housing a state of emergency so that way

we can get

states and county governments out of the

way we have one state building and

safety process

we give power to engineers and

architects

and to electricians and plumbers so we

can get housing built

faster hey hey y'all why don't you come

best solution for our state
