if we look at say 50 his story his

mother was murdered when he was eight

years old he never knew his father so

he's raised by his grandparents and he's

this very ambitious young man and the

only thing that he can see that's an

Avenue for anything remotely interesting

in his life is to deal drugs is to

become a hustler hustling is very boring

if there's nothing romantic about it and

he said this is the worst job you can

have you're sitting at there six in the

morning it's freezing it's always the

same thing and eventually he finds his

way into the music business and he told

me nothing working on the streets

prepared him for the music business the

people on the streets you kind of knew

where they were coming from you knew

that they could be violent you could

sort of suss it out pretty quickly who

was on your side who wasn't but you got

in the music business and the Sharks and

the manipulation and the games playing

and the stakes and the money he said I

wasn't prepared and so he when he

started off found the 48 Laws of Power

extremely helpful in dealing with the

music industry
