It's 9:00 a.m. on the east coast and if

0:02

you're just joining us this morning, we

0:04

have major breaking news. [music]

0:05

Venezuelan dictator Nicholas Maduro has

0:08

been captured by US forces. It

0:09

>> was an amazing thing, an amazing job

0:12

that these people did, extremely

0:14

complex, the the whole maneuver, the

0:16

landings, the number of aircraft which

0:19

were massive number, the number of

0:21

helicopters, a different type of

0:23

helicopters.

0:24

>> The United States has just captured the

0:26

president of Venezuela. The United

0:28

States military, without congressional

0:30

approval, but with 150 aircraft,

0:33

attacked a foreign country to extract

0:35

and arrest the foreign president of that

0:38

country, Venezuela's Maduro, in just 2

0:41

hours and 28 minutes. All without a

0:44

single dead American. At most, we had a

0:47

damaged aircraft, a helicopter that was

0:50

shot at, but it was still deemed

0:51

flyable. So, we didn't even leave the

0:54

helicopter in Venezuela. and we have

0:57

disappeared. So now the question is,

0:59

who's going to run Venezuela? What does

1:01

this mean? What's going to happen in

1:03

markets? What does this mean for oil?

1:05

What leadership are we going to see

1:07

that's actually going to try to fight

1:09

the armed rebel or guerilla groups that

1:11

exist inside of Venezuela? And where

1:14

does Donald Trump think this leaves us?

1:17

Well, a spoiler alert, Donald Trump says

1:19

we are going to run Venezuela until a

1:21

transition occurs. and if we need to, we

1:24

are ready to mount a second stage much

1:27

larger attack. But at this point, uh Mr.

1:30

Trump or President Trump does not

1:32

believe that this is going to be

1:33

necessary. And instead, he took to Truth

1:36

Social to show us a photo of uh the

1:40

arrested president of Venezuela in ear

1:42

muffs and a mask and handcuffs with a

1:45

bottle of water. So, it looks like uh at

1:48

least somewhat he's being taken care of

1:50

with a fresh bottle of American water.

1:52

Now, this is incredible because first of

1:55

all, this was not just a show of force

1:58

by America against Venezuela. This was a

2:02

slight directly against the Axis of

2:05

resistance or anyone who threatens

2:07

America. This was a direct middle finger

2:11

to China, whose delegates just showed up

2:14

4 hours before this raid to negotiate

2:18

likely oil deals with Maduro.

2:21

Just four hours later, we go raid and

2:24

extract the very president that Chinese

2:27

delegations wanted to make deals with.

2:29

So, this is a middle finger not just to

2:31

China, but it's also, frankly, a big fat

2:34

middle finger to Russia because guess

2:36

who supplied defensive weapons to the

2:39

Maduro regime?

2:41

Russia. Russia's S300 and BU M2E, which

2:46

are long and medium-range defensive air

2:48

systems, were basically negligible

2:50

against US technology, possibly in part

2:53

due to broken Russian supply chains, or

2:55

the fact that somehow we basically shut

2:57

down the entire power grid in Venezuela

3:00

before we attacked. Now, that may have

3:02

been due to cruise missiles and direct

3:05

strikes, or it could have been a cyber

3:06

attack or a combination, but we

3:08

basically, as Trump puts it, bumrushed

3:12

the president. But the way I see it, we

3:14

basically blitzed Venezuela with 150

3:18

aircraft launched from over 20 different

3:19

bases. We had operators as young as 20

3:22

years old, as old as a 49 years old. We

3:25

had lower aircraft protected from above

3:28

by drones, F-22s, F-18, B1 bombers,

3:33

Coast Guard, Marines, Air Force, all

3:35

creating the shield above the airspace

3:37

of Venezuela above the lowlying clouds.

3:42

Helicopters swept in through now cleared

3:44

out corridors. Since we destroyed their

3:47

defensive artillery, we now had

3:50

helicopters swoop in below the cloud

3:52

layer through now a safe zone protected

3:55

by our aircraft above to attack

3:58

Venezuela at 10:01 Eastern time or 2:01

4:02

in Venezuela in the middle of the night.

4:06

Now again, this is such a show of

4:09

strength by America and it is an

4:11

embarrassment to Venezuela, who the

4:14

Trump administration believes is mostly

4:16

propped up by Cuba, Russia, and China.

4:19

And it's frankly a middle finger to all

4:22

of the allies of Venezuela. So, it's no

4:24

surprise that other Latin American

4:26

countries are now shaking in their boots

4:28

going, "Oh, how could you do this? The

4:30

we condemn your attack." But this, make

4:34

no mistake of it, was a signal that

4:37

America should not be messed with. Now,

4:40

let's actually look at this as a factor

4:43

of Venezuela for a moment. The United

4:44

States has obviously built up the

4:46

largest naval deployment in the southern

4:48

Caribbean since the Cuban missile crisis

4:50

back in the 1960s. And there were really

4:52

three options here to deal with Maduro.

4:54

Because, as Trump says, Maduro wanted to

4:57

try to negotiate, but he just was

4:59

unwilling to surrender and relinquish

5:00

power. So there were really three

5:02

options remaining. Number one, you could

5:04

exile him. So you know, pick him up like

5:06

a Napoleon and put him somewhere else.

5:08

Uh you could extradite him. You could

5:10

also politically exile somebody by

5:12

having a different power regime take,

5:14

you know, power essentially. But that

5:15

could be difficult to do. Uh you could

5:17

just kill him, just bomb him. or maybe

5:20

more humane, you make him stand trial

5:24

for his charges and his crimes, which

5:26

we'll talk about those in just a moment,

5:28

as well as the integration of the drug

5:30

drug trade within the Venezuelan

5:32

military allegedly. Uh so therefore,

5:34

that really leaves the third option,

5:36

which is extraditing him, which is

5:38

exactly what just happened. We in under

5:40

two and a half hours extradited the

5:42

foreign leader of a foreign country,

5:45

which is pretty dang impressive. Delta

5:49

Force and the 160th Special Operations

5:51

Aviation Regiment penetrated Karacus.

5:55

And frankly, now you've got the wife of

5:58

Maduro and himself coming to New York to

6:01

face charges. The entire mission was

6:04

done in less than 6 hours. The

6:06

extraction took less than 2 and 1/2

6:08

hours. We struck multiple military bases

6:11

inside of Caracus as well as areas south

6:13

of Caracus. We also struck local ports

6:16

and we've already been detaining oil

6:18

tankers in the region. So obviously as

6:22

JD Vance says this is a big old PSA for

6:27

the world that if essentially you

6:29

contribute to narot terrorism you don't

6:32

get to avoid justice we will come after

6:35

you. Now of course a lot of people are

6:38

going to take issue with the fact that

6:39

Donald Trump didn't request

6:40

authorization from Congress. Marco Rubio

6:43

actually directly addressed this and

6:44

said that this is not the kind of

6:45

mission that you could ask for

6:46

congressional approval for because this

6:48

was a law enforcement operation by the

6:50

Department of War with the Department of

6:52

Justice or on behalf of the Department

6:54

of Justice. And frankly, they believe

6:56

that if they would have told Congress,

6:58

somebody would have just leaked it or

7:00

worse, somebody could have just bet on

7:02

Poly Market. Oh, wait. I guess somebody

7:05

bet on Poly Market anyway that Maduro

7:08

would be out by January 31st. ended up

7:10

making $13,000 on a trade here, 200 or

7:13

what do we got here? $172,000 here,

7:15

$4,000 here, uh closer to a buck over

7:18

here on some of these other trades. So,

7:20

somebody made off with a nice, you know,

7:22

six figure game gain on on trading the

7:25

inside information, but apparently

7:26

Congress was not able to insider trade

7:29

this one. Just folks within the

7:30

administration instead. But anyway,

7:32

Donald Trump says Congress has a

7:34

tendency to leak uh and not that it

7:36

would have mattered much because

7:38

Venezuela knew we were coming. They saw

7:39

our ships and they were ready for us.

7:42

Except they weren't ready for what they

7:44

faced, which again is just a really

7:46

remarkable show of force by America.

7:49

Especially since the CIA and and Trump

7:51

had talked about this in his October

7:53

press conference, but the CIA has been

7:54

on the ground since August collecting

7:56

information on Maduro along with the

7:58

NSA. They knew what he wore regularly,

8:01

what he ate, where he ate, when he ate,

8:05

his pets, where he likes to hang out.

8:07

They knew everything about where he was

8:09

staying to the point where they built a

8:11

replica building with the same steel

8:14

doors that they would be expected to

8:16

blow down to get to Maduro with

8:19

blowtorrches or whatever they need to

8:22

make sure they could extract him

8:24

appropriately with minimal risk to

8:26

Americans. Now, obviously, massive

8:29

rewards and bounties from Maduro likely

8:30

helped collect well intelligence. You

8:33

know, it's easy to pay somebody when,

8:34

frankly, the economy of Venezuela is

8:37

complete poopy dupy. Uh, and this isn't

8:40

to be funny. It's really bad. The people

8:44

of Venezuela are suffering. This chart

8:46

right here, you know, normally we're

8:48

like, "Oh, it's good when a chart goes

8:49

up and to the right, right?" Well, it's

8:51

good for Americans with dollars because

8:53

this is a chart showing how many

8:56

Venezuela Venezuelan boulevards you

8:59

could buy. So their currency you could

9:01

buy with one US dollar. Well, one US

9:03

dollar has gone from buying 35 of their

9:06

currency to buying over 300 of them.

9:10

That's because you've got or had an

9:12

economy under major strain, falling oil

9:15

prices, which represents one-third of

9:16

their GDP. 58% of government income

9:19

comes from oil money, and US sanctions

9:23

with potentially an annual inflation

9:25

rate reaching 700% in 2026. So, the

9:29

economy is complete trash and the people

9:31

are suffering in Venezuela. They just

9:34

had their currency lose 90% of its value

9:36

in less than two years. The minimum wage

9:39

in Venezuela is about 130 boulevards per

9:43

month, which works out to about $1 per

9:46

month. You probably need about $500 to

9:50

feed a family in Venezuela. So, it's no

9:53

surprise that 80% of Venezuelans live in

9:56

poverty. when the government has

9:58

destroyed the economy, yet they lie to

10:02

the public by implying that GDP will be

10:05

growing at 8% next year and everything

10:07

is fine. No surprise why over 8 million

10:10

Venezuelans have fled the country. Now,

10:13

of course, people are speculating that

10:15

this intervention could lead to a

10:16

promarket transition, uh, a bullish

10:19

catalyst,

10:20

>> bullish catalyst,

10:21

>> you know, sanctions relief, IMF

10:23

engagement, economic stability, but a

10:25

lot of that is going to be predicated on

10:27

what kind of power vacuum exists and

10:30

what kind of takeover uh occurs in

10:33

Venezuela. So, we'll have to evaluate

10:35

this. Now, obviously, there are going to

10:37

be debates about the war powers

10:39

resolution in the United States, like

10:41

was this strike legal? uh was this

10:43

extraction truly an offensive strike

10:46

that was uh made due to an imminent

10:49

threat to the United States? That's like

10:51

legal jargon for saying, well, you know,

10:53

are you even able to weaponize the war

10:55

powers resolution? Donald Trump debates

10:57

this and says, look, every boat that we

11:00

destroy avoids the death of 25

11:02

Americans. We lose 300,000 Americans per

11:06

year to drugs. So, don't worry. This was

11:10

a war powers strike. Again, courts will

11:12

debate this, but the point is it has

11:14

occurred. So, what matters more now is

11:16

what's going to happen going forward.

11:18

Well, apparently the vice president who

11:20

is now being sworn in as the president

11:22

of Venezuela, Deli Rodriguez, uh she

11:25

clearly stands on a very fragile

11:27

position, especially with threats that

11:29

Donald Trump is willing to invade again.

11:31

She has allegedly told Marco Rubio that

11:34

she will do whatever is necessary. Uh

11:36

Trump will does recognize that she was

11:38

picked by Maduro and that she's

11:41

fortunately though so far essentially

11:43

willing to do quote whatever is needed

11:45

to make Venezuela great again. And now

11:47

Trump is going to make sure that not

11:49

only America but the Venezuelans can

11:51

make a lot of money. Now of course there

11:53

are other leaders that are being

11:55

considered. For example, uh Vladimir

11:58

Lopez who runs the uh you know national

12:01

armed forces of Venezuela. You've got

12:03

the SP special forces leader Cababo that

12:06

that might be an option. Maduro is

12:08

believed also to have offered Venezuelan

12:11

oil to the United States uh that maybe

12:13

the administration will take over and

12:15

and sort of work with. Though Donald

12:17

Trump has vetoed all these, so it seems

12:18

like Trump doesn't really care about the

12:20

people involved. Trump's going to do

12:21

what Trump wants at this point and

12:24

they're looking for essentially somebody

12:25

who's just going to say okay. Now, a lot

12:28

of people obviously after Hugo Chavez

12:31

died of cancer, well technically a heart

12:33

attack, but he had cancer. Uh he was

12:34

getting surgeries in Cuba to try to save

12:36

his life. It didn't work. You know, he's

12:37

been in power since the early 2000s,

12:40

2002, I believe, to 2013. Then Maduro

12:42

came into power. Maduro basically lost

12:45

his election in 2024 to Maria Mcado. She

12:50

won the Nobel Peace Prize, which Donald

12:52

Trump felt slighted by because, you

12:53

know, Trump says he solved so many wars.

12:55

He should have won the Nobel Peace

12:56

Prize. But anyway, uh, MCado, she has

12:59

been cheering for the removal of, well,

13:02

frankly, Maduro for years since, uh,

13:06

2014, she's been a political activist to

13:09

try to remove Maduro from power. Uh, and

13:12

she's believed to be popularly desired

13:15

by the people of Venezuela. She was

13:18

actually banned from running against

13:20

Maduro by Maduro's Supreme Tribunal,

13:22

which basically, you know, he runs. And

13:25

so they ended up running a stand-in

13:27

candidate uh in the popular election

13:29

against Maduro. The stand-in candidate

13:32

and Mundo Gonzalez won two times the

13:35

votes that Maduro received. But the

13:38

government just refused to acknowledge

13:39

that election and just installed Maduro

13:41

instead. So she argues the goal is to

13:44

come to leadership to reclaim democracy.

13:47

Though Donald Trump isn't a big fan of

13:50

her. I don't know if he feels slighted

13:52

because of the Nobel Peace Prize laws,

13:54

but he says that she doesn't actually

13:56

have the support of the people and it

13:57

would be very tough for her. Now,

14:00

Venezuela also has weapons problems.

14:02

Venezuela is frankly per the foreign

14:04

affairs full of armed groups that may

14:06

take advantage of this power vacuum. And

14:08

so, you really need stability as f fast

14:10

as possible to prevent these gangs or

14:12

Colombian guerrillas from taking

14:13

control. The US has already warmed these

14:16

scenarios and there are really three

14:18

potential outcomes. One would be some

14:21

kind of negotiated solution. This would

14:23

be like a Panama invasion of 1989 kind

14:26

of negotiated solution where all the

14:27

other countries are like look we support

14:29

this transition. We don't support the

14:31

invasion. We condemn the invasion but uh

14:33

and the extraction of the president but

14:35

we support the transition. We're mad but

14:37

we'll help. You know that that kind of

14:38

negotiated solution in the region that

14:40

could institute peace. Uh, and then

14:42

Donald Trump expects, you know, oil

14:44

producers like the current major oil

14:46

producer in Venezuela that is US-based,

14:48

Chevron, potentially rebuilding

14:50

infrastructure and attract extracting

14:52

oil wealth out of the country. Donald

14:54

Trump suggests that the local economy

14:56

will also benefit from this, but Trump

14:57

wants to be repaid for the lives that

14:59

have been lost in America for the drug

15:00

war. Unclear how all of that is going to

15:03

balance out, but uh, Brazil, Russia,

15:05

Colombia, Mexico, Cuba, China have

15:07

already rejected the attack. They see

15:08

this as interference in Latin America.

15:10

Okay, old news. But best case scenario

15:12

one is still some kind of negotiated

15:14

solution. Option number two would be

15:16

like a Libya style solution which would

15:18

be bad. Fractured military, fractured

15:21

leadership. You get little power cells.

15:23

Uh not good. It's kind of like almost

15:25

like a you know a small version of this

15:28

would be like the Hamas leadership that

15:30

is just a splinter cell of 41 different

15:33

cells in the Gaza Strip that have no

15:35

unified leadership. Really hard to make

15:37

a deal with those sort of groups and

15:38

don't tend to lead to lasting peace.

15:40

Worst case scenario, you get an

15:41

imperialist takeover like uh basically,

15:43

you know, some kind of military propped

15:45

up by Russia, China, and you just get a

15:47

Maduro 2.0. And that's why Trump says

15:49

he's going to stay until a proper

15:50

transition can take place, and we're

15:52

just going to run the country. Now,

15:55

Donald Trump doesn't exactly give

15:56

clarity on how we're going to run it. It

15:58

seems like we're going to run it with

15:59

Rubio from the White House and puppets

16:02

basically inside of the Venezuelan

16:04

government who just, you know, basically

16:05

convert, as Donald Trump puts it, and

16:07

bow down to what the United States

16:09

wants. Uh it's pretty obvious that uh

16:11

Donald Trump believes that people are

16:13

going to convert because he says if they

16:15

don't uh we'll just have to, you know,

16:18

launch the second wave. So I think it's

16:20

a there's a pretty clear threat that

16:23

you're going to disappear if you don't

16:24

convert and support the Donald Trump

16:26

regime and the administration. So we'll

16:28

see. Donald Trump said he watched the

16:30

operation unfold. He said that uh you

16:34

Maduro tried to run into a safe room.

16:36

Sounds like he like live streamed it,

16:38

which sounds pretty freaking epic. But

16:40

anyway, uh he says uh Maduro ended up

16:42

getting bumrushed and we had

16:43

blowtorrches. Maduro made it to his safe

16:45

room, but he couldn't end up getting the

16:47

door closed because we bumrushed him so

16:49

fast. We would have gotten through his

16:50

door in 47 seconds anyway, so it

16:52

wouldn't have mattered, but we didn't

16:53

need to get through his door. And even

16:55

though they were quote ready for the

16:56

United States, we just absolutely

16:58

overwhelmed them. So now obviously, you

17:01

know, what is the impact of all of this?

17:02

Well, I mean, after Operation Midnight

17:04

Hammer against Iran and now Operation

17:06

Complete Resolve to extradite the

17:08

president of Venezuela, uh, you know,

17:10

both of these without any American

17:12

death, I think there's a pretty big

17:14

signal that you probably shouldn't mess

17:16

with America. This is a signal not just

17:18

to Russia, but also to China and

17:20

certainly Iran. Hey, don't even think

17:22

about uh messing with America. Don't

17:24

think about invading Taiwan. Russia,

17:26

you've invested billions of dollars into

17:27

Venezuela, and guess what? Oops, that's

17:29

gone. Uh, China. You have $60 billion in

17:32

loans to Venezuela. Well, we'll have to

17:34

think about that. Uh, we've seized oil

17:37

tankers that were destined for China.

17:40

Iran has provided materials to

17:41

Venezuela. Uh, oops. I guess that's

17:44

going to be over now. So, I guess your

17:46

business partner is now done. I mean,

17:47

this is really more than just Venezuela

17:49

and drugs. This is a big middle finger

17:50

to again China, Iran, and Russia.

17:55

So, uh, now the Trump administration is

17:57

also threatening Cubans, saying that

17:59

Cubans were all over Maduro's guard, uh,

18:02

and that the Cubans almost run Venezuela

18:04

and that Cuba is failing, so they better

18:06

watch out. So, the next threat is

18:08

already being laid. But bottom line,

18:12

we're obviously going to have to watch

18:13

very closely what happens here.

18:15

Obviously, there's an expectation that

18:17

in the near term, oil markets could

18:19

spike, although oil shipments out of

18:22

Venezuela have really grown to a halt

18:24

anyway. So, any kind of spike in oil

18:26

prices should have already occurred

18:27

anyway because we've been seizing oil.

18:31

Uh, now the belief is that if we rebuild

18:33

oil infrastructure in Venezuela, which

18:35

could take as long as 2 years, that oil

18:37

prices will actually fall and gas prices

18:40

will fall. So, yes, could this all be

18:42

about oil again? and getting to Donald

18:44

Trump's gas targets, of course. But the

18:47

goal is to rebuild the infrastructure

18:49

and actually generate more oil, which

18:52

also reduces the value of oil that can

18:55

be sent from Russia to countries like

18:58

China. So, this is all linked together

19:02

and merged together as a really massive

19:07

global operation. These things are all

19:08

linked together. And I have to say,

19:11

while obviously there are going to be

19:13

questions about war powers, I'll tell

19:16

you this is this is this just shows you

19:19

don't mess with America. And to some

19:21

extent, ignoring for a moment the fact

19:23

that, you know, Congress and some courts

19:26

are going to be pissed. You kind of got

19:28

to be a little proud of America to go,

19:30

"Oh man, we could pull that stuff off.

19:34

It should make people shaking their

19:36

boots." Now again, I also know there are

19:39

going to be Americans who are like, "How

19:40

the hell could a president just do this?

19:42

This is like dictatorial." I I I get it,

19:44

and I'm not here to be soft on that view

19:47

as well. I think that'll be litigated in

19:48

courts. But this is the nature of Donald

19:50

Trump to act. Uh and then if he's told

19:53

not to do something by the courts, then

19:55

he's like, "Oh, okay." But the message

19:57

has already been sent. It's sort of like

19:59

deploying the National Guard in Los

20:01

Angeles or Chicago for months only to

20:04

months later be told by courts, "You

20:05

can't do that. You have to give the

20:07

National Guard back to those states of

20:08

Illinois and California. Well, Trump's

20:11

already sent the message and they think

20:13

that was the point here. A big fat

20:16

middle finger [music] to anyone who

20:18

hates America.

20:20

>> Why not advertise these things that you

20:21

told us here? I feel like nobody else

20:23

knows about this.

20:24

>> We'll we'll try a little advertising and

20:25

see how it goes.

>> Congratulations, [music] man. You have
