Shab e Barat Explained | 15th Night of Shaban | Powerful Islamic Reminder
FULL TRANSCRIPT
My dear soul, there are some people who
reach Ramadan and the gate doesn't open.
Subhan Allah. Not because they didn't
fast, not because they didn't pray, but
because they carried something out
inside. You can be alive and still be
kept outside the door. You can show up
with a body and arrive with a heart that
is chained. Because Ramadan is not only
a month you enter, it's a state you must
be allowed into. Welcome back to Ayah
Pulse where Quran doesn't just get
recited, it revives. Alhamdulillah.
Tonight we talk about the 15th night of
Shabban and the heart you will carry
into Ramadan. Not to argue, not to
perform, not to make noise, but to
prepare like someone who knows what's
coming, like someone who understands the
moments before Ramadan. Decide who you
become inside it. Shabban is not an
empty hallway. It is not a waiting room.
It is not just the month before. Shabban
is a month of training the soul, a month
of warming the engine, a month of
pulling your heart out of the mud before
you step onto sacred ground. Some of the
sal the pious predecessors used to treat
this month like a runway because when
Ramadan arrives they didn't want to
start they wanted to fly and the proof
is in the love of prophet Muhammad
sallallahu alaihi wasallam the way he
treated Shaan Aisha
described his rhythm his consistency his
devotion mashallah this is what love
looks like when it becomes action
I never saw him fast more in any month.
Then he fasted in shabban. Sah al- bkari
1969. Because shaan was never just about
reducing food. It was about increasing
focus. It was about telling the nuffs
not now Ramadan is coming. It was about
meeting Ramadan. Already moving, already
disciplined, already awake. And there is
another secret inside Shabban. A reason
it feels heavy. Even when the world
looks normal outside, it is the month
when deeds are raised, presented,
brought forward. your prayers, your
tears, your secret charity, your silent
battles, and even the sins you hid from
everyone. All of it going upward. Not
because Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala needs
to see, he sees you at every moment,
every breath, every thought, every
excuse, but because Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala teaches you something through
these moments. Sometimes deserves
special attention. So you pay attention
too. Just like dua can be made any
moment, yet Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
invites you to the last third of the
night with a mercy that feels closer
than your own heartbeat. In the same
way, your deeds are always recorded. But
there are moments where they are
presented with special weight. And
Prophet Muhammad sallallah.aii wasallam
loved to meet those moments fasting
pure, humble, empty of full of
intention.
deeds are presented on Monday and
Thursday and I love that my deeds be
presented while I am fasting. Subhan
Allah. Jami 7:47. So think about it. If
your deeds are being presented before
Ramadan even begins and Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala sees holes in those deeds,
weakness, laziness, carelessness, then
shabban is your gift, your warning, your
chance. So you start patching, you start
repairing, you start returning. But the
fear is deeper than holes. Because
sometimes the issue isn't that your
deeds are imperfect. The issue is that
your deeds are blocked. There are people
whose deeds are presented and Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala does not even look
at them not because they miss a sunnah
not because they forgot a because they
carried something inside that shut the
gate and that is why Shabban is not
random it is not ordinary it is not
small Shabban is the month where Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala is preparing you
before the greatest month arrives so you
don't walk into Ramadan with a
distracted heart you don't crawl into
Ramadan with a poisoned chest you don't
step into Ramadan with chains around
your soul because there is something
that can block the deeds, not a lack of
worship, a disease of the heart. My dear
hearts, about the 15th night of Shabban,
scholars differed. Many narrations are
weak and we don't build religion on
noise. We don't build certainty on
whispers. We don't build worship on
rumors. We don't build Islam on emotion
without proof. But there is a narration
strengthened by multiple chains accepted
by many scholars classical and
contemporary. And listen, this isn't
about creating a special night out of
thin air. Shaaban is already special.
The entire month is already honored. The
entire month is already a doorway to
Ramadan. But if Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala gives you even one extra reason
to clean your heart, why would you
delay? Why would you argue while your
soul is bleeding? Why would you fight
over details when the message is saving
you? Because if you truly understood
what is being offered, you wouldn't
waste the moment. You would run to Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala with a heart begging
to be repaired. The narration says,
Allah looks at his creation on the
middle night of Shaan and forgives all
of them. Subhan Allah. Except a
polytheist and one who harbors hatred.
Sunnan ib Maja Musnad Ahmed scholars
discuss its grading. Think about that.
Forgiveness pouring like rain. Mercy
descending like light. Sins falling off
like dead leaves. And only two hearts
are locked. Only two hearts are refused.
Not because they are poor. Not because
they are broken. Not because they are
struggling, but because they refuse to
empty themselves. One heart refused to
empty itself from shik and one heart
refused to empty itself from hatred. And
that is why this message is not about
rituals. It's about barriers. And even
if you put every debate aside, even if
you ignore every discussion, understand
this. Every night has the door of every
night Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala can
forgive. Every night can be the night
your life changes. And fasting the 15th
is not something strange. It is not
something new. It is already a sunnah
inside every month because Prophet
Muhammad sallall.aii Sallallahu alaihi
wasallam taught us the beauty of
consistency. 3 days every month, a
simple door. Alhamdulillah. Islam
doesn't make the path complicated.
Fasting 3 days of every month is like
fasting for a lifetime.
Narrated with similar wordings. And the
13th, 14th, and 15th are known as the
white days. So fasting is already a
sunnah. But the point tonight is not
only about fasting. It's about what you
carry while you fast. Because this
narration didn't say Allah forgives
everyone except the one who didn't pray
the hajj. It didn't say except the one
who missed aik. It didn't say except the
one who didn't fast. It said except the
one who commits shik and the one who
carries hatred. So first shik Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala is too worthy to
share your heart. too worthy to share
your worship, too worthy to be second
place inside your chest. If Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala gives you life, how
can someone else own your obedience? If
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gives you
breath, how can someone else become your
master? If Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
carries you every day, how can you bow
to anything else? Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala is not asking for half of you.
Allah wants your kal, your kal. And
prophet Muhammad sallallah.aii Wasallam
warned us.
I am the one most free of need of
partners. Whoever does a deed
associating others with me, I leave him
and his sah Muslim 2985. So clear that.
Erase that. Return to tawhed. But the
second one that one breaks people.
Hatred, grudge, spite,
the thing you call just a feeling but
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala calls a
barrier. It doesn't stay small. First it
starts as irritation. Then it becomes
distance. Then it becomes coldness. Then
it becomes I don't care. Then it becomes
poison. Then it becomes a second voice
in your head. Then it becomes your
identity. And the whole time they think
it's normal. Subhan Allah. Look what it
does. It eats your dua. It eats your
dick. It eats your hushu. It eats your
sincerity. It turns worship into weight.
You pray but you feel nothing. You fast
but you stay heavy. You read Quran but
it doesn't enter because the heart is
locked from the inside. And you arrive
at Ramadan alive and you are told stay
outside not because you weren't invited
but because you refused to clean the
doorway. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala did
not leave us without guidance. He gave
us Quran that heals the exact disease we
hide.
The believers are but brothers. So make
peace between your brothers
10. And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala didn't
just tell you to forgive. He reminded
you why you must forgive.
Let them pardon and overlook. Would you
not love that Allah should forgive you?
Ay 22. Mashallah. Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala is asking you something so small
so you can receive something so huge.
Forgive so you can be forgiven. Let go
so Allah lets you go. Release so Allah
releases you. Because if you want the
door of Ramadan, you must clear the
doorway of your heart. So tonight, we
don't just put the forehead on the
ground. We put the ego on the ground. My
dear soul, Ramadan teaches you to live
like angels. They don't eat yet they are
strong. They don't drink, yet they never
collapse. They don't disobey Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala. Not for desire, not
for ego, not for anger. They exist in
purity. And when Ramadan comes, your
fasting becomes an angelic exercise. You
silence the body so the soul can speak.
You deny the stomach so the heart can
rise. You step away from the dunya so
you can finally hear what your heart has
been screaming for years. In Ramadan,
you want to be like the angels. Not only
in hunger, not only in worship, but in
the way they love and the way they hate.
They love for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And they hate for Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala. Not for ego, not for pride, not
for I was right for Allah. And
understand something, righteous anger at
Zulim is not the same as ego grudges.
When you see oppression, when you see
zulum, when you see innocent people
harmed, a believer feels pain, a
believer rejects that zul for Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala. A believer makes
dua for the oppressed, a believer
supports truth, a believer speaks with
justice, a believer stands with the
Muslim, that anger can become worship
when it is controlled by Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala. But ego grudges, those are
different. Those are not about truth.
Those are about you. Those grudges don't
push you to justice. They push you to
bitterness. They don't push you to dua.
They push you to darkness. They don't
protect your heart. They poison it. One
type of anger elevates you. The other
one shuts your deeds. One makes you
closer to oh Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
The other places a wall between you and
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. And you don't
even realize it's there. And Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala didn't leave you
without a cure. He gave you a weapon so
clean, so powerful it can transform
enemies into brothers.
[clears throat]
Repel evil with what is better. And the
one between you and him was enmity will
become like a close friend. Subhan
Allah. Surah ay 34. Repel with what is
better. Not because they deserve it, but
because Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
deserves your obedience. Not because
you're weak, but because you are chasing
something higher than revenge. Not
because you forgot what they did, but
because you remembered who your Lord is.
And now comes the moment. The moment
that turns Shabban into a bridge. The
moment that turns your heart into light.
The moment that makes angels witness
your sincerity. You sit alone and you
feel it. That heaviness inside your
chest. That name that still burns when
you hear it. That memory that still
stings. That message you never replied
to. That apology you never accepted.
that silence that became a wall and you
hold your phone your fingers shake not
from fear of them but from fear of
losing Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala because
suddenly you realize my ego has been
sitting on the throne my pride has been
guarding the gate my anger has been
blocking the sky so you whisper not for
people not for applause not for closure
for Allah subhan Allah for Allah you
press call and before they even answer
your heart is already being forgiven
Not because the person changed but
because you changed. Not because they
deserved mercy but because Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala deserved your
surrender. And if Shayan tries to stop
you, if your nuffs screams, if your
pride says don't do it, then remember
you are not calling them. You are
calling your own from Edom. You are
calling your own forgiveness. You are
calling the opening of the heavens. And
if you feel dirty, if you feel too
sinful, if you feel too late, Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala calls you with hope.
Oh my servants who have transgressed
against themselves. Do not despair of
the mercy of Allah. Alhamdulillah. Surah
ayah 53. Do not despair because the door
is still open even now, even tonight.
And if you want a heart that survives
Ramadan, then purify the closest
relationships too. Start with the ones
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala mentioned
after himself.
And be excellent to parents. Surah ayah
36. Because a heart that can hold
grudges against parents will struggle to
hold mercy for anyone else. And fill
your chest with the love of the one who
taught us how to forgive, the one who
was harmed. Yet he pardoned the one who
was betrayed. Yet he prayed. Prophet
Muhammad sallall.aii wasallam.
Indeed Allah and his angels send
blessings upon the prophet. Oh you who
believe, send blessings upon him and
salutations. Mashallah. Surah alab ayah
56. When your heart is filled with
salawat, there is less space for petty
hatred. When your heart is full of the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam, you
start wanting to resemble him. And he
forgave, so you forgive. He let go, so
you let go. He chose Allah, so you
choose Allah. So tonight, don't just put
your forehead on the ground, put your
ego on the ground, put your pride on the
ground, put that grudge on the ground
before Ramadan comes and you are told to
stay outside. Now close your eyes, raise
your hands and whisper with me.
Alhamdulillah.
Subhan Allah. Alhamdulillah.
Subh
Sai
Allah
become
Allah.
Well,
Ramadan
Ramadan Ramadan.
Allah.
Allah.
Subhan Allah. Alhamdulillah.
All praise is for Allah, Lord of all
worlds. Glory be to Allah. All praise to
Allah. None has the right to be
worshiped except Allah. And Allah is the
greatest. Oh Allah, for you is all
praise, abundant, pure, and blessed,
just as our Lord loves and is pleased
with. Glory be to you, oh Allah, and all
praise is yours. I testify that none has
the right to be woripped except you. I
seek your forgiveness and I repent to
you. Oh Allah, send your peace and
blessings upon our prophet Muhammad
sallallah.aii wasallam and upon his
family and all of his companions. Oh
Allah, turner of hearts, keep our hearts
firm upon your religion. Oh Allah,
director of hearts, direct our hearts
towards your obedience. Oh Allah, we
seek refuge in you from shik, what we
know of it and what we do not know. Oh
Allah, purify our hearts from hypocrisy,
our deeds from showing off, our tongues
from lying, and our eyes from betrayal.
For indeed you know the deceit of the
eyes and what the chests conceal. Oh
Allah, cleanse our hearts from spite,
jealousy, hatred and resentment. Oh
Allah, remove from our chests every
arrogance, every pride and every
tightness. Oh Allah, make us among your
servants who forgive and pardon, seeking
only your face. Oh Allah, open for us
the doors of your mercy in Shaan. Oh
Allah, let us reach Ramadan with mercy,
guidance, and forgiveness. Oh Allah,
deliver us to Ramadan. Deliver Ramadan
to us and accept it from us fully accept
it. Oh Allah, accept from us our
fasting, our night prayers, our
supplications, our remembrance, and our
recitation of the Quran. Oh Allah, do
not let our deeds be blocked and do not
let our hearts be sealed. Oh Allah, make
our deeds righteous and make them
sincerely for you and let no one have a
share in them. Oh Allah, forgive the
Muslim men and women and the believing
men and women, those who are alive and
those who have passed away. Oh Allah,
relieve the worries of those overwhelmed
and ease the hardship of those in
distress.
Oh Allah, be with our oppressed brothers
and sisters everywhere. Oh Allah, lift
zul oppression from them and support
them with your mighty help. Oh almighty,
o compeller. Oh Allah, heal our chests,
heal our hearts and mend what is broken
within us. Oh Allah, return to us the
light of iman in a beautiful way. Oh
Allah, grant us a sound heart, a
truthful tongue, and deeds that are
accepted. How perfect you are. All glory
is yours. All praise is yours, oh Allah,
we ask you for paradise and every word
and action that brings us closer to it.
And we seek refuge in you from the fire
and every word and action that brings us
closer to it. Oh Allah, forgive us, have
mercy on us, guide us, grant us
well-being, and provide for us. Amen.
Amen. Amen.
