0:00

you won't believe the amount of money

0:01

the Harris campaign is spending compared

0:03

to the Trump campaign and then we're

0:05

going to look at some polling and as

0:07

much as many of us put some salt on the

0:09

polling I'm actually surprised what

0:12

Donald Trump was just able to pull off

0:14

especially in a certain area Harris is

0:17

just dominating in campaign spending

0:20

let's first though look at some of these

0:21

campaign spending numbers these are just

0:24

out by Bloomberg what they do is they

0:26

basically analyze ad spend TV ad ad

0:29

spend mail ad spend reservations for

0:32

future ad spend it's really insightful

0:35

listen to some of these numbers and keep

0:36

in mind when you run a political

0:38

campaign like I did when I ran for

0:39

governor in 2021 to try to beat that

0:41

Nome guy anyway don't worry about that I

0:44

didn't win but anyway uh you have to

0:48

report your campaign spending regularly

0:51

me these are fully audited and and

0:53

pretty dang transparent uh so it's kind

0:55

of useful to see some of these numbers

0:57

but take a look at this the Harris

0:59

campaign is spending $5 million per day

1:03

more than the Trump campaign so Trump is

1:06

spending about 2.6 million per day right

1:08

now and Harris is sitting about 7 and a

1:11

half now some of that could be because

1:13

the Harris campaign is so much shorter

1:16

than the Trump Campaign which has been

1:17

going on for obviously well over a year

1:19

now well quite frankly some say it never

1:22

ended after the 2020 election but anyway

1:25

Trump did spend more than he raised in

1:28

August by about 32 million and I think

1:30

they kind of say that as a way to say ah

1:32

look you know Trump is mismanaging Trump

1:35

again has is a war chest and generally

1:38

what you do with an election is you try

1:40

to spend everything right before the

1:42

election so it kind of makes sense that

1:44

you're going to spend more of the money

1:46

that you raised earlier now Harris spent

1:49

$152 million on advertising in September

1:53

and Donald Trump spent $63 million

1:57

that's per ad impact and Harris has

2:00

about $44 million left in the bank in

2:03

September versus the roughly 300 for

2:06

Trump so she's got about a 33% lead over

2:09

Trump in money left in the bank right

2:12

now and this is the crazy part on where

2:14

she's spending the money between now and

2:17

election day which is not far away we're

2:20

less than 45 days away here Harris plans

2:23

to spend in the following Battleground

2:26

States

2:27

73% more than Trump in Arizona 39% more

2:33

in Georgia than Trump 50.4% more in

2:37

Michigan than Trump

2:40

204% more than Trump in Nevada 69% more

2:44

in North Carolina

2:46

150% more in Pennsylvania it's actually

2:49

151 and 27% more in Wisconsin these are

2:53

all critical Battleground States but

2:57

here's the crazy thing despite

3:00

this extra spending planned in addition

3:03

to what's already been happening based

3:06

on a New York Times Sienna uh Sienna

3:08

College poll out just this morning

3:11

Donald Trump actually has a fivepoint

3:13

lead in Arizona critical Battleground

3:15

State four-point lead in Georgia and

3:18

three-point lead in North Carolina now

3:21

those are just based on the latest New

3:23

York Times sien survey keep in mind that

3:26

other polling has been less favorable to

3:29

Donald Trump uh a lot of folks say that

3:32

you know the a lot of the polling isn't

3:34

reflective of the sort of quote unquote

3:37

sugar high if you will uh that might

3:39

come with a new campaign or a new

3:41

election uh well essentially a new

3:44

campaign right you have a new candidate

3:46

uh but what's worth noting is if we look

3:49

at the real clear politics averages take

3:52

a look at this you definitely have a

3:55

lead right now for Harris of about 2.2%

3:59

points but you have to be really careful

4:02

here because this is the kind of stuff

4:05

that happened with Hillary where Hillary

4:07

Clinton had this like insurmountable

4:09

lead against Trump and then Trump smokes

4:12

her because Democrats end up getting

4:14

complacent and they don't end up getting

4:16

out to vote now you've also not only got

4:20

this average re Real Clear Politics uh

4:22

indicator here that suggest Harris is in

4:25

the lead but if you look at the betting

4:26

markets predicted is just smoking Trump

4:29

right now 57 to 45 so 57 kamla Harris 45

4:35

Trump paully Market another betting

4:37

Market with a fourpoint lead here for

4:40

Donald Trump a huge flip uh from what

4:44

happened uh leading up to the last

4:45

debate which keep in mind Donald Trump

4:47

says he does not want to participate in

4:49

the CNN debate just two weeks before uh

4:53

suggesting it's too late to take another

4:55

debate opportunity and that Harris

4:57

should have taken his uh invitation to

4:59

debate on Fox which he did not anyway uh

5:03

let's look at some of these other

5:05

numbers because frankly they're pretty

5:07

remarkable the Trump campaign did

5:09

outspend Democrats by about 3x on Direct

5:13

mailers at about $ 11.6 million but

5:17

Harris is absolutely spending a crazy

5:20

amount of money on actual offices and

5:23

campaign staff in Battleground States

5:26

and what they're trying to do is they're

5:28

basically playing the get out the vote

5:30

campaign so knocking on doors spending

5:32

$10.2 million on payroll this is four

5:35

times as much as the Trump campaign with

5:37

2,200 staffers in over 333 offices in

5:40

these Battleground States focusing on

5:42

getting people registered to vote keep

5:44

in mind I have it here somewhere I don't

5:46

think I have it handy but I'm in Cali

5:49

y'all know that I'm turn a trash here

5:51

somewhere but uh I just got a one of

5:54

those little election cards in the mail

5:56

and they're like make sure you're

5:57

registered to vote uh because if you

5:59

registered to vote we'll get you your uh

6:02

ballot by uh October 7th I believe it is

6:06

so it's fascinating because these mailin

6:09

ballots they're going to start showing

6:11

up pretty freaking soon and uh I always

6:14

think that's interesting because I feel

6:15

like you should kind of wait to vote

6:17

until you know the last debates and and

6:20

all of kind of the last drama that's

6:22

going to happen happens but uh then

6:25

again if some people wait they never end

6:28

up voting I can't find it has to be

6:29

buried under him uh then uh then they

6:32

never end up voting so that's why people

6:35

like no no no turn in your mail and

6:37

ballot now or whatever I I never like to

6:39

mail my ballot I I personally I take it

6:41

and I go drop it off but uh whatever so

6:45

uh let's see what else we have here uh

6:47

Trump uh is also Outsourcing his ground

6:52

efforts to the America pack which is the

6:55

pack created by Elon Musk and they did

6:58

spend 15.5 million on canvasing in

7:01

August uh and they've spent about 25.8

7:04

million since the Harris candidacy began

7:07

trying to sort of campaign against

7:08

Harris remember Elon is a is a big fan

7:11

of trump in this one uh and uh the

7:15

Harris campaign has also taken about

7:19

$24.5 million of their funding and

7:21

thrown it towards uh other Democratic

7:24

candidates and I think this is actually

7:27

an

7:27

acknowledgement that the Democrats are

7:30

really concerned that if they have a

7:33

chance of winning they're not going to

7:35

end up having control of the house and

7:38

the Senate uh even really prle leaning

7:42

sources like The Economist uh suggest

7:46

that

7:47

hey Democrats have a really big uphill

7:50

battle here actually trying to sweep the

7:53

Senate and the house mostly because of

7:57

the seats that are available they're not

8:00

that conducive of a democratic Victory

8:03

here or a Democratic sweep so even if we

8:05

did end up with a Harris presidency it's

8:08

unlikely at least many believe that

8:10

Democrats would end up sweeping and that

8:13

could put a hamper on a lot of Harris's

8:15

plans that is of course if she wins if

8:18

we end up getting another Clinton

8:20

situation where people think ah well

8:22

Harris is so far ahead I don't have to

8:24

vote and Trump voters end up getting out

8:26

and actually voting that you could have

8:29

a repeat of the Clinton Trump days

8:33

really interesting so anyway let me know

8:35

what you think about this spending I

8:37

think it's remarkable that Harris is

8:38

spending so wildly in these Battleground

8:40

States uh in the latest poll that just

8:43

came out today suggests Donald Trump

8:45

ahead in at least three of those uh and

8:48

uh I don't think they did surveying on

8:51

in the other Battleground States but

8:52

we'll keep getting polling and I suspect

8:55

this this race is actually just going to

8:57

tighten as we get closer to election day

8:59

rather rather than widen apart so we'll

9:01

see anyway let me know what you think in

9:02

the comments down below and we'll see
