just does not stop Matt Gates was

expecting to have a bombshell report

released on him by the Committees

investigating him inside of Congress and

the House of Representatives and

literally 2 days before he

resigns because now he's becoming the

Attorney General of the United States at

least subject to Senate confirmation

per Donald Trump's appointment now

what's really interesting about this is

yes you have to be an attorney well

technically I suppose you don't but you

probably won't get confirmed you

generally have to be an attorney to be

the Attorney General even though again

that's technically not in the law what's

interesting is the mainstream media was

so convinced they had to have something

against him over the last few years one

of the things they actually ran a whole

story on is how Matt Gates was

delinquent and his bar license got

suspended for failing to pay his

association fees with the bar

association and I'm like oh no what did

he get like fined and like refused to

pay him or something was it like

thousands of dollars no it was

$265 and they had to run a whole story

uh about this now of course then in the

story they also had to reiterate how

he's being accused of sex trafficking

and providing payments or Goods to a

17-year-old girl in exchange for sex

such as paying for her to travel with

him and this is how they're now trying

to get him on other crimes as well it

again feels like that same sort of

political based persecution that we just

see over and over and over again uh I

mean I don't know anything about a

17-year-old who who knows whatever

happened there but it's not uncommon for

dudes to be like hey let me buy you a

flight what all of a sudden there a sex

trafficker anyway here's a here's the

POV and I want you to see actually you

know what before we get to this I want

you to see what JD Vance says about this

JD Vance is a good one so JD Vance posts

a tweet well post the post the main

issue with Matt Gates is that he used

his office to prosecute his political

opponents and I'm like oh dang JD Vance

is laying down the fire and authorized

federal agents to harass people oh this

this is as the house Ethics Committee

investigation is going on they basically

lost jurisdiction over him you'd see

that here or the New York times says

with his departure from Congress the

committee is no longer in a position to

have jurisdiction to investigate Mr

Gates now theoretically because they

have this report they're getting ready

to release or were getting ready to

release on Friday theoretically they

could just go ahead and release it

anyway I I wouldn't be surprised if it

gets leaked and there are some crazy you

know allegations or whatever against him

but at this point it's almost like the

Elon Musk line you know the most ironic

is the most likely and you know Mt is

the person who considers him the he

considers himself the most investigated

person in Congress yeah here it is I am

the most investigated man in the United

States Congress I I think it's kind of

ironic that then somebody who considers

themselves the most investigated person

becomes the Attorney General of the

United States same thing here keep in

mind that the justice department did

look into these allegations so this is

not not the house this is not the house

Ethics Committee this is the justice

department and for 2 years the justice

department looked into the

allegations and they closed their

investigation last year without filing

any charges mind you I'm not reading

like Fox News I am purposefully reading

the times here because I know they lean

left and even they are like yeah the

justice department kind of already went

through this still the house Ethics

Committee opened an inquiry in 2021 into

the sexual misconduct allegations it's

always allegations allegations I feel

like anybody can allege anything these

days and just the allegation alone

Slanders you more than anything it's

kind of crazy right now uh but anyway so

uh this committee mind you is made up of

five Republicans and five Democrats it's

actually chaired by a Republican and uh

their ranking member is a Democrat so

they it's supposed to be an even mix

here but still nonetheless

house Ethics Committee opened an inquiry

into the 2021 allegations along with

claims that Mr Gates misused state

identification records converted

campaign funds to personal use accepted

impermissible gifts under house rules

and shared inappropriate images or

videos on the house floor among other

transgressions oh no how dare you share

memes on the house floor how dare you

that is unprofessional sir it's a

millennial I'm not trying to take away

from the professionalism of what should

happen in the halls in floor of Congress

or on the floor of Congress

but it's how it works justice department

shuts down the investigation maybe you

should too I'm sure the report will get

leaked though so we'll see what was in

the allegations but for now Matt is

basically free because the house can't

kick him out he already quit they have

no jurisdiction over him anymore now

Johnson is kind of like h Trump stop

recruiting people away from from from

the house we need the numbers you know

because now somebody else is going to

have to replace map so uh you know

that's that's something to keep in mind

you know every time you kind of appoint

somebody from Congress you do kind of

Whittle your numbers down a little bit

anyway he is uh part of Florida's first

congressional district uh which uh is um

is the Pensacola region now what's crazy

about this is talk about the replacement

it could end up being Matt's dad now

Matt grew up in Hollywood Florida

actually about 30 minutes from where I

grew up and my dad married a woman from

Hollywood Florida so not my mom it was

after but anyway uh take a look at this

Gates is another Gates the congressman's

dad former Florida Senate President Don

Gates could slip into the seat with

strong name recognition duh insiders

familiar with the district also point

out that it's a very prot Trump District

uh Gates won 69% of the vote there and

then 66% uh in in his last election over

here

so it is possible that you don't really

have too many issues uh about uh

replacing gates for another Republican

here so you should be able to maintain

uh that Republican seat now uh DeSantis

could also appoint someone to fill the

remaining term of Senator Mark Rubio and

so some people are looking kind of at

disantis and they're like hey you're not

going to mess anything up right OB I

he's not he'd be kind of shoot himself

in the foot in the Republican party if

he didn't appoint a Republican senator

that's for Marco Rubio who's being

tapped which is also a little bit of a

surprise because it did initially seem

like Trump did not like Marco Rubio at

least based on some tweets that Donald

Trump has sent including messages that

Donald Trump would not even assign Marco

Rubio to run his smallest of

companies I found that somewhat

entertaining but um again fate loves

irony so there you have a little bit of

update uh an update on what's going on
