0:00

hey everyone me kevin here so many of

0:01

you know that i am

0:03

running for governor of california and

0:05

yes this

0:06

is absolutely still true but there are

0:09

a lot of things i owe you clarity on

0:11

because the last

0:13

week has been very very insightful and

0:16

i feel like i have kind of started

0:19

feeling a little bit of a transformation

0:21

where i've

0:21

turned into this attack mode this like

0:24

dog that was this happy puppy with the

0:27

vision and

0:28

has kind of gotten turned into a little

0:30

bit more of an attack

0:31

dog that is caught up in the fight of

0:34

getting frustrated by

0:36

what's around us more than i really have

0:38

before see

0:39

i wasn't inspired to run for governor to

0:42

fight i was

0:43

inspired not to be a bully or to

0:46

complain about others

0:47

it was to propel my vision

0:50

for the future of california which i'm

0:52

so deeply passionate about

0:55

and i want to put all of my energy and

0:57

attention that i have

0:59

spare and available into this vision

1:03

because it is so good and powerful

1:07

i'm so saddened seeing people leave

1:09

california

1:10

businesses fail because of overbearing

1:13

government

1:14

problems we have in california aren't

1:16

unique there are problems like this all

1:17

throughout the country

1:18

but california can be a model a model

1:21

for the future

1:23

a model for the rest of the united

1:25

states

1:26

and so i ask even if you're not in

1:28

california

1:29

here's some of these things out and let

1:32

me know in the comments down below

1:34

am i mad for thinking that these ideas

1:37

have

1:38

tremendous potential that the future

1:40

california model one

1:41

that doesn't just try to solve one

1:43

aspect of our societal problems but

1:46

solves all of them by acting together at

1:49

once which

1:49

you can really only do as governor and

1:52

people ask me

1:53

kevin why don't you run for mayor first

1:54

why don't you run for county supervisor

1:56

first folks

1:58

county supervisors and mayors are very

2:00

hardworking people

2:02

but the reason we can't get things done

2:04

in our country is because we need

2:06

very strong leadership that can tackle

2:08

multiple issues at the same time

2:11

and i think this model this vision can

2:14

solve that

2:15

take a listen to this and then let me

2:17

know what you think about this and

2:18

if you say to the end i have a special

2:20

surprise for everybody

2:23

uh this weekend so i think it'll be

2:24

really cool so stay tuned

2:26

it's super cool so that'll be uh towards

2:28

the end and so i think what's really

2:30

important

2:31

is that i provide some clarity on my

2:33

future california model

2:35

and i show some more insights into why

2:38

this future california model is so

2:40

important

2:41

and how we should be focused on this

2:43

vision for the future we already know

2:45

it's broken

2:46

things have been broken for the last 17

2:48

years while

2:49

somebody has been in power in san

2:52

francisco and as lieutenant governor and

2:54

recently as governor and

2:55

now wants more time in office folks no

2:58

no no

2:58

we need a new model and we need to be a

3:00

model for the united states consider

3:02

this

3:02

here's my future california model and

3:05

the various different pieces of it is

3:06

just sort of a brief overview or

3:08

a summary of these first and foremost

3:11

future schools

3:12

where students graduate debt-free and

3:14

for free

3:15

they have the option of going to a

3:17

college if they didn't end up liking the

3:18

future school we have

3:19

state colleges the cal system and the uc

3:22

system

3:22

but what's going to happen in future

3:24

schools well not only are we going to

3:26

partner with small medium and large size

3:28

businesses to teach our teachers

3:30

so that we can pay our teachers more

3:31

because they teach our students

3:33

what businesses actually want think

3:35

about that practically

3:36

hey tesla you need mechanical engineers

3:38

teach our teachers

3:40

how to teach our students how to be

3:42

mechanical engineers

3:43

let us as teachers or our state's

3:46

teachers

3:46

do that job for you so that we can

3:48

prepare people for a career

3:50

mechanical engineering really anywhere

3:52

at any motor company or any mechanical

3:54

company a robotics company

3:56

for that nature or purpose or maybe

3:58

those skills will translate to something

3:59

else but

4:00

we're also at the same time going to

4:02

create a baseline

4:03

financial education so that way by 18

4:06

people are graduating for free without

4:09

debt

4:10

with a financial education with the

4:12

opportunity to go to college if they

4:13

want to go to one of our colleges or uc

4:15

or cal systems are great

4:18

but they also have the option of

4:20

starting a career right away at 18

4:22

not at 23 we create a much more

4:24

productive economy much

4:25

sooner then i have a future

4:28

transportation idea and see the future

4:30

transportation

4:31

ideas is really based in a lot has to do

4:34

with future

4:34

a future bids process see today when

4:38

a governor reviews who to assign

4:39

contracts to they really have the power

4:41

to

4:42

assign a lot of contracts to their

4:44

friends or people they know

4:45

or their colleagues there are a lot of

4:47

back room

4:48

handshake deals that kind of take the

4:51

free market out of the bid process

4:53

i kind of envision a future bids process

4:55

that's very much like

4:56

a cryptocurrency smart contract where if

5:00

the public

5:00

were able to view the bid process they

5:02

would weigh out our contracts and say

5:04

well

5:04

we can get very good quality or

5:06

excellent quality

5:08

for a low price with one company why

5:10

would we pay

5:11

10 to 12 times as much at another

5:14

company just because they're

5:16

someone's friend that's not how the

5:18

private market is supposed to work

5:20

that's how we waste taxation in fact my

5:23

goal in california is to remove taxation

5:27

on the first 250 000

5:29

of income that people make so that way

5:31

every worker in california

5:32

every investor in california gets a pay

5:34

raise and we do that

5:36

by including the private market more not

5:39

less

5:39

we include the free market more to

5:42

reduce our costs and expenditures

5:44

not less now obviously there are many

5:48

things that the government

5:49

needs to stay in control of for example

5:51

i envision a future

5:52

dmv where we have maybe things

5:55

outsourced that we don't need to do like

5:57

why are we getting vision tests

5:58

at the dmv folks people go to an eye

6:01

doctor

6:02

your eye doctor can certify you for x

6:05

number of years

6:07

why are we doing license plates and

6:09

registration renewals

6:11

with stickers and old school methods

6:14

license plates could be quite frankly

6:16

replaced by qr codes only the government

6:20

can read

6:21

so nobody knows what your license number

6:24

is

6:25

and instead or maybe there's like a

6:26

public identifier and a

6:28

more private government-only identifier

6:30

built in it to where

6:31

really what we're doing is we're not

6:33

making you put a stupid sticker on your

6:35

car

6:36

every year that can get stolen or

6:39

we're not making you go through this a

6:42

process where you actually have to

6:44

go to some website or to mail in a

6:46

renewal just do it all through

6:49

a very simple app scan your private qr

6:51

code

6:52

pay boom it's renewed it's done the same

6:54

thing could be with driver

6:55

it could be done with driver licenses

6:57

there's so many future ideas and i

6:59

haven't thought through everything don't

7:00

get me wrong i think there are

7:02

good purposes for license plates

7:03

especially hey you know if

7:05

if there's an accident it's nice to be

7:06

able to quickly jot down somebody's

7:08

license plate like oh

7:09

you know white ford or camry or whatever

7:11

there are many things to think of you

7:13

know

7:13

so many things to still think of and

7:15

perfect but the point is

7:17

there are ways to improve there are ways

7:20

to have

7:20

virtual id's we're not going to

7:22

privatize virtual ids obviously

7:24

but there are ways to do that to where

7:26

rather than you having to go to court to

7:28

fight for example a traffic ticket

7:30

you could do it through an app now i'm

7:31

not professing that all of my ideas

7:34

are perfect the way they are right now i

7:35

know they're not

7:37

but i can tell you nobody's going to

7:39

work harder at

7:40

perfecting all of these ideas every

7:42

single day our ideas

7:44

get better and better and stronger and

7:46

more sound and more resilient

7:48

honestly a lot is thanks to the

7:51

interviews

7:51

that we're doing with professionals in

7:53

the different fields both on camera and

7:55

off camera

7:56

but i also attribute much of it to the

7:59

community who

8:00

is sending us emails or leaving us

8:03

comments

8:04

or sharing stories with us i we have

8:07

such an incredible outpouring of support

8:09

and so many of you are donating which is

8:12

so important for us to be able to fight

8:14

the existing establishment

8:16

and make these changes this is why we

8:18

need your help

8:19

at meetkevin.com donate this is not an

8:22

opportunity here for you know oh yay

8:25

look at me running for governor no this

8:26

is

8:27

this is about implementing a new vision

8:30

for society this is bigger than even

8:33

california

8:34

we start with california think about

8:37

this we need

8:38

future transportation to solve our

8:40

transportation nightmares

8:42

this means more efficient roads using

8:45

the best

8:46

systems that exist in the world for

8:48

example variable speed limits

8:50

where when there's less traffic maybe we

8:52

can go faster and when there's more

8:53

traffic

8:54

we can slow down traffic a little bit so

8:57

that way

8:57

we don't have backups at bottlenecks and

9:00

we allow

9:01

traffic to more smoothly progress

9:03

through the highway for example

9:05

if it's rush hour i would much rather be

9:07

driving at 40 miles an hour

9:08

and everybody's casually driving at 40

9:10

miles an hour then be going

9:12

stop and go at 10 miles an hour

9:15

these are things again they still

9:17

require the

9:18

perfect engineering but the ideas of a

9:21

future process are there

9:23

and these ideas can be perpetuated by

9:25

not just

9:26

sound engineering and street and traffic

9:29

control research but also

9:31

by introducing again the private market

9:33

we need optional toll roads

9:35

that are optional so we alleviate stress

9:38

on our existing roads

9:39

and potentially those optional toll

9:41

roads come in the shape and form

9:42

of tunnels we have plenty of

9:46

directional space underneath us

9:49

and we can do this in very very

9:52

earthquake safe

9:53

and sound ways to prevent liquefaction

9:56

risks or earthquake risks and

9:58

off-ramps or on-ramps to these tunnels

10:00

we can make tunnels extremely safe

10:03

extremely efficient

10:04

not just for electric vehicles but for

10:06

all vehicles and all

10:08

buses so now all of a sudden we make

10:09

public transportation faster

10:12

what good is it when buses are on the

10:14

highway and yay we have public

10:15

transportation but they're stuck in the

10:17

same rush hour

10:18

we need big ideas to solve california

10:23

think about future facilities as well

10:25

for centralizing homeless support

10:28

this is my idea of deploying the

10:30

national guard

10:31

via emergency powers on day one of being

10:33

in office we

10:34

not only help make homelessness safe

10:38

for the first 30 days but after the

10:40

first 30 days we go into

10:41

long-term transitional support where in

10:44

long-term

10:45

temporary shelters temporary housing and

10:47

temporary facilities

10:48

that we build in a centralized manner we

10:50

can provide mental health support

10:52

detox support rehabilitation support

10:55

community support

10:56

social support schooling support food

10:59

showers

11:00

housing shelter all in one

11:03

space we need everything we can't

11:07

just fix one thing it's not about

11:10

here build ten thousand homes and throw

11:12

homeless people in them no

11:14

these are people they need dignity and

11:17

compassion it's a process

11:20

you don't go from homeless to back to

11:22

work tomorrow

11:23

the same as you don't take a broken

11:26

state

11:27

and turn it into something better in a

11:28

day but with vision

11:30

and leadership we can do a lot very fast

11:34

much faster than anything anyone's ever

11:35

seen before and that's what motivates me

11:37

that's what makes me so excited about

11:39

this campaign

11:40

and this is why i'm i'm coming clean

11:42

about how i feel like i've gotten

11:44

diverted from

11:45

the excitement of my vision i'm getting

11:48

back to my vision

11:50

and i'm going to tell you an

11:50

announcement in just a moment but folks

11:54

think future courts streamlining courts

11:57

with small claims processes that work up

11:59

to a hundred thousand dollars

12:00

licenses that are sub bar licenses or

12:03

like are a step on your way to a bar

12:05

license

12:06

but they're not a full bar license but

12:08

they still make you an attorney to help

12:10

advise people

12:11

for small claims matters attorneys don't

12:13

go to small claims

12:14

but they can advise folks most attorneys

12:17

don't though

12:17

they'd rather work in the big things so

12:19

fine bar licensed attorneys

12:21

the path is now clear for you to work on

12:23

the big deals everyone else

12:25

the newer people graduating at 18 from

12:27

our future schools

12:28

maybe they can help the folks with small

12:30

claims business

12:32

same thing goes for housing we need to

12:34

empower the people that we license our

12:36

architects our engineers our contractors

12:38

our building vendors our hvac folks our

12:41

electricians

12:43

to approve and sign off on their own

12:45

projects without the government getting

12:47

in the way

12:47

what is the point of them carrying

12:49

liability insurance

12:50

professional errors and emissions

12:52

insurance

12:54

bonding licensure workers comp

12:58

what's the point of them having all of

13:00

these liability

13:01

insurances they don't have power

13:05

to make our building and safety

13:07

processes move faster

13:08

the government's in the way of

13:10

everything in our state

13:12

it doesn't need to be of course the

13:14

government has a very important role of

13:16

the power of an audit the power of a

13:18

check-in or drop-in but it should be

13:20

collaborative

13:21

not adversarial the way it is it should

13:24

be meant

13:25

to inspire and promote not to take away

13:28

or to stop or delay

13:31

this is why our state is broken but it

13:33

can be fixed there's salvation

13:35

and with this salvation comes lower

13:38

taxation

13:39

more housing we don't need rent control

13:42

and affordable housing if we have

13:44

more housing because we give folks

13:46

optionality

13:47

and when we give optional when we get

13:49

optionality to live in new developments

13:51

or new communities or new cities and

13:52

towns that we can build

13:53

maybe even by legalizing casinos and

13:55

having casinos in those towns or

13:57

throughout our state so people are

13:58

vacationing outside our state instead

14:00

they're vacationing

14:01

here more and we attract more money and

14:04

more people

14:04

spending within our border and we become

14:07

a very

14:08

very competitive state and guess what

14:09

happens all of a sudden there's enough

14:11

housing for everyone

14:12

there are enough jobs for everyone

14:14

there's enough schooling for everyone

14:16

they're no homeless on the streets and

14:17

we do it all with lower taxes

14:19

now some people say kevin this this is

14:21

too good to be true no

14:23

we just have never had a coordinated

14:26

revamp of california

14:30

and that's why i'm the first youtuber to

14:32

run not only for governor as a youtuber

14:34

but i say youtuber because i'm gonna be

14:36

the most transparent

14:38

governor that has ever existed

14:40

everything that i do

14:41

every single day will be documented

14:43

every contract that gets approved

14:45

y'all gonna see it they're not going to

14:48

crony

14:49

capitalist friends they're going to the

14:52

best price

14:53

and the best quality and that's going to

14:55

help us lower taxes

14:56

no more wasting 125 million dollars per

14:59

mile on a high speed rail

15:00

when we know private companies can build

15:02

us tunnels for 10

15:04

million dollars a mile folks that's a

15:06

savings of 12x

15:08

and when we fix these things guess what

15:09

we can also fix

15:11

immigration people want to come here

15:15

but the legal immigration process is

15:17

very very hard

15:18

very lengthy and the people who make it

15:21

through either wait

15:22

years upon years or they'd lottery

15:26

in literally there are visa lotteries

15:29

some people make it many people don't

15:31

year after year after year

15:33

our illegal immigration problem is a

15:35

symptom

15:36

of our failed legal immigration system

15:40

in a prosperous economy nobody is taking

15:43

anyone else's jobs

15:44

in a prosperous economy we have

15:46

streamlined and fast

15:48

legal immigration so people with skills

15:51

can come here and work and pay

15:52

their their sales taxes and property

15:55

taxes and

15:56

contribute to housing in our local

15:58

economy and if they are

15:59

blessed to make more than 250 000 a year

16:02

then they can pay state income taxes and

16:03

we become a very competitive state so

16:05

folks

16:07

if you like this vision embark with me

16:09

on the future mission of california the

16:11

california future model

16:13

now here's the announcement tomorrow

16:17

at 4 p.m pacific time

16:21

i will be in venice beach that is

16:24

saturday

16:25

may 22nd and we will hold a small micro

16:28

gathering

16:29

we're gonna do a big rally this is

16:31

grassroots

16:32

we don't have millions of dollars to

16:34

spend we can do things as a community

16:37

for less and we can do it better

16:40

folks if you're interested come on by

16:42

may 22nd 4 p.m

16:44

venice beach you'll find me somewhere

16:47

i'll be there

16:48

i'll have a megaphone you won't miss me

16:50

i'll be loud

16:51

i'm loud the exception of now because

16:54

quite frankly i'm i'm disappointed in

16:57

myself

16:58
