NARWAL Freo X Plus Robot Vacuum & Mop Detailed REVIEW

hello everyone this just a dad today I'm

going to do a detailed review on this

narwhal Frio X+ Robot vacuum and mop I'm

going to talk about some of the things I

like some of the things I've got

concerns about it we're going to see how

it cleans this room I got some muddy paw

prints and things now I did buy this

with my own money it does cost $400 it's

on sale for 340 right now I will put a

link to it underneath the show

description notes if you use the link

the product won't cost you anymore but I

will get a small commission from the

sale okay so let's get started

okay I really love liar navigation when

it's got this lar navigation it can

really map your house give you an

accurate representation and you can put

no go zones and it does a good job of

avoiding things it also has a sensor on

the front that can help avoid obstacles

that are low to the

ground so this is a mopping robot we've

got a dust bin all of the dust and dirt

and debris are going to go into the dust

bin now this is the reusable one you can

just simply press that button everything

will come out

this is the water tank you're going to

put your water right here for the

mopping very simple to

use now on the bottom here's the mopping

pad it can raise and lower that mopping

pad it does have a sensor here that it

can sense carpet two side brushes

there's the brush roller Drive Wheels

also has Edge sensors for so it won't

fall down any stairs now the mop pad's

really easy to take on and off just lift

this up and then this is held on with

this part the mop pad held on with

velcro so you will have to clean that

mop pad once in a while yourself but

taking it on and off is very simple it

does have a water pump and it will pump

water out of these four holes right here

to help saturate the pad now the pad

doesn't move back and forth but it can

move up and down depending on carpet and

it could it can put a certain amount of

pressure so in the app you can tell if

you have hardwood floors or lolium or

tile and it will adjust the pressure how

much it puts down and how much water it

puts down on the different types of

flooor material now this is the docking

station where it's going to Dock and

charge it up right here and there's what

the mop pads raised so when it wants the

mop it'll lower it so in the Narwhal app

it is it is able to make a very accurate

map of your house and you can put no go

zones you can tell to vacuum and mop

vacuum then mop or vacuum or mop only

started first thing it's going to do is

compress everything in the dust bin over

to one side so it frees up some room on

the

filter there's a water pump and it's

going to start mopping this Rim I've got

some muddy paw prints we've got some

dirt and

debris let's see how it

does now the first thing it's going to

do is going to go around the edges of

your room and then it will go back and

forth and make the straight lines and

get the center of the room

it's got the mop pad lowered and it's

mopping now it does a good job of

obstacle avoidance with that

sensor and now it's going to raise the

mop pads when it senses that carpet

vacuuming now it is able to detect a

heavily soiled area and that's what it's

doing right now it's going to go over it

again okay so now it's doing its second

pass and it's going to go the opposite

direction or I mean parallel to

perpendicular to it

so it did a good job vacuuming the muddy

paw prints yeah it's struggling a little

bit with it probably needs another

pass okay when it's all done it's going

to come back to the dock stationing

started task completed charging started

please please clean

the okay so the liar has stopped moving

I know in the previous unboxing it was

it was running for quite a while um

after a couple cleanings it it's not

running anymore when it comes back in

docks now again I did buy this with my

own money right now retailing for 400 on

sale for

340 it does have some really smart

Advanced

features okay we got a big mess here on

carpet we're going to see how it does

I've got it on maximum suction

possible and again I've not taken the

mop pad off it will raise that mop

pad when it senses that it's on carpet

and after it's cleaned your house three

or four times in the the map will change

and it will show you where all the

carpet's at

it changes how the map looks oh look who

showed up don't have a treat right

now so it looks like it's doing a pretty

good job

yeah I'd say it's doing a pretty good

job

this was a pretty big mess it's leaving

a little bit of stuff if I had it do a

second pass it's only going to do one

pass now earlier it was able to get this

carpet pretty clean I wasn't able to

show you that but it does raise the mop

pad and clean that carpet now sometimes

it will clean around that carpet first

and then go back and vacuum that and

sometimes it will just raise the mop pad

and vacuum it so it gets to be a little

tricky I think it kind of figures out

how to do it and then it has a kind of

has a mind of its own how it's going to

do it so here it is coming back to the

dock

now sometimes it'll blow all of that s

cleaning started I see they call that a

selfcleaning I think that might be

blowing the dirt off to one

side but then I've also heard to prevent

bacteria growth I've also heard it say

that it's blowing the dirt and debris

off to one side and it sounds a little

bit louder sometimes it does it at the

beginning of of the of the job and

sometimes it does it at the

end now here's the map of my house after

it's been cleaning a while you can sort

of see where the couch is but it those

checkered lines is where all of the

carpet is and that's pretty accurate

that's that rug we were talking about

earlier you know I wish it showed the

obstacles a little bit better but you

can go in and add like a couch and

things okay let's take a closer look

again I'm not sure why in the unboxing

that liar stayed turning for a while and

I still don't understand the

selfcleaning and I still don't

understand blowing air into

here but you can see let's see we've

used we oh wow we've used quite a bit of

water and it did not tell me the tank

was empty I was hoping it would we've

done quite a bit of mopping I'm going to

show you the mop let's take a look at

this wow it has picked up a lot of stuff

I would have liked to have seen it blow

that stuff more to the side that's the

whole theory behind this is that filter

will get CLA fed like all that dirt and

debris and then it's supposed to blow it

and it's supposed to compact it to the

side so that you still have some filter

area available because that's where your

suction is if it's if this is clogged on

the inside it's not going to be able to

suck and you won't have air flow I would

have liked to see it do that some you

know again it it seems like narwhal

doesn't give you a lot of control over

stuff it's like they have a lot of

builtin techn techology that just works

I

guess all right let's turn it

over now here is the mop

pad and again you will have to take this

off nothing dries it so after mopping

you know I'm I cleaned with this

yesterday and that's pretty wet so it's

got a big warning on there to take this

off and to make sure you dry it or it's

definitely going to

mold the brush roller I see I don't see

any hair

Tangles that is a pretty nice hair brush

roller okay so we're going to do the

obstacle avoidance but

first I guess if you it I I thought I

could take this off it's it's got an

eror so let's close and I was just

trying to vacuum I guess I got to go in

and select so I thought I could just hit

whatever I had before which was vacuum

and mop and it would realize that it was

only trying to do carpet but let's I

guess I got to do just vacuuming

only no let's

do super powerful I no let's just do

Freo

advice all right now let's see if it'll

do it Fone cleaning

started so if you want to take this off

you've got to do vacuuming only I

thought it would realize it was only

carpet

but okay so we're doing our

test you can see that obstacle avoidance

was pretty good that sign would fall

over if it hit it pretty hard but we're

going to got some fake dog poop we got a

iPhone cable

all right so it missed it now let's see

all right here we go that's going to be

a pretty hard oh it tried

to that one's pretty hard just because

it's so low to the

ground but it it it destroyed

it and that's what's going to do if it

ever runs over it it makes a big mess

now again we don't get

any obstacle there's

nothing nothing the app tells us there

was something

there so it looks like it's trying to

avoid it now

but now that one it looks like it is

seeing

it I would expect it to see that one

that one's kind of taller very defined

and this is pretty typical of narwhal

they

just to me narwhal's in a in a class of

their own as far as what they expect

yeah it ran it

over

they they don't do what everybody else

does let me just say that whether good

or bad they don't follow everybody

else's

lead they

typically in my opinion think for

themselves and their stuff is operates a

little bit different and the the

impression I get with narwhal is just

set it down press the clean button and

forget it they don't want you to control

a whole bunch of stuff and you they

don't want you to have the robot control

a bunch of stuff they just want you to

kind of set it and forget it it's not

going to see a cable

either and this is the Narwhal fro X is

what I rated it it got the same score as

far as obstacle avoids it's just it's

just okay it's

not I mean it does good around walls and

things the light R can hit but no other

stuff

no and it chewed up that

cable it's task paused

yeah task resumed they also have an odd

way of stopping you got to press and

hold that

button and then it just it just stops it

then you've got to like hit the check

mark and then you got to tell it to

recall so it's kind of three or four

steps

to that may not be apparent when you

want to pause it or stop it or something

is holding that play

button and it's about

60 66 okay I've started something new

I'm I'm going to try that that doesn't

seem right to me intense mopping and

they show a picture of a liquid spill

and this thing I've seen it in the

manual you let let's try it I can't find

it right now but I know I've seen where

it says don't go through

water they call this it does a self

test I can hear the pump

going the uh mops not lowered

yet okay now the mop is

lowered okay we're going to keep an eye

on it and see how it does here so here

I'm on the official narwhal site and it

shows it going through

liquid that's coca colola on the

floor I've been I've been making some

slushies in the brand new ninja slushy

maker that's a pretty cool

product they show it having really good

obstacle voidance if you look I think

all those toys are really

tall you know I'm not so sure that the

sensor in the front does them that good

a job and here they're saying that it

doesn't have dirt Sense Technology but

in the app it kind of showed told me

that it

did yeah I've reviewed the foo X

yeah I don't I don't see that as

being a good

thing I'm sacrificing my

robot but they can't show that

picture I don't I don't think that's

good I think

it I think it's sucked up liquid

you know if it ruins the machine I'm

going to send it back cuz that in my

opinion you can't show a picture like

that we'll be taking it all apart but I

want it to

finish yeah it shows a picture that is

clearly

liquid but it talks about stubborn

stains it it it did not do stubborn

stains I had some I mean maybe I should

try dried coffee but I had some mud that

was dried and it ever really got it off

that

good I feel like that's just Coca-Cola

now on the

floor and see it says it detected a

heavily soiled

area but it says in the thing it doesn't

have dirt

detection I think I just made a big mess

and it's avoiding that carpet but it

will go back and clean it eventually but

sometimes it doesn't do

that like on other jobs it'll just raise

the mop pad and actually vacuum and then

lower the mop Pad

but well I think I've had about enough

of

this T and

recall all right here it comes

no and I've got this Auto bin

control when turned on the B bin bag

will automatically air dry well it's not

okay let's take a look at this I don't

know what to

expect okay we clearly have Coca-Cola in

there that's going to definitely need a

lot

of

attention yeah I guess it didn't get to

the filter but that might be just

because there's so much dirt and debris

in there and it didn't compact

everything again it has a mind of its

own I think I think it just compacts it

whenever it thinks it needs to probably

not after

every all right there's the mop pad it's

definitely

saturated me we got Coca-Cola

I mean maybe it's okay I mean it's it's

got quite a

mess the drive Wheels seem the drive

Wheels would have went through it the

side brushes went through

it you know they don't seem like

they I don't know so can you run through

water I guess it's going to be a lot of

and here they show it again

that's clearly

liquid and I feel it just smeared it all

over I mean I guess it sucks it up I did

hear it suck it

up I just don't know if that's a good

idea to suck up water is it I mean maybe

the filter is going to prevent all the

water from going into the machine

now my floor is clearly sticky now with

cocacola yeah it's got the it's

sticky okay out of my scoring it got a

80 which is a c

so that my scoring I might have to

modify for these ones I did give them

fives where it doesn't say that it does

certain things but

uh mopping it's just not that accurate I

mean it does an okay job for everyday

mopping

so converting it you know you got to

lift them up so I could probably give it

a few more points because you got to

lift it up and convert it but even if I

did it would still be a

c no I'm sorry it's a

b sorry about

that uh it's a b so it might be a little

bit higher of a b if I gave it a little

bit more no avoidance I mean there is

some there is some avoidance you can see

but it's very very minor the cost is

actually pretty good 340 you know that's

not bad for what you're

getting the maintenance on it is super

easy they do pro I say it's easy but did

I deduct the point no I didn't I should

have their their parts are some of the

most expensive of all the robots their

brush roller like this brush roller is

but I get it it's kind of unique but

their parts are generally more expensive

they're available which I like

um yeah basically mopping dinged it

obstacle avoidance that can really lower

a score really really quick and

everything else was just kind of

mediocre mopping it does lift the mop

pads 8 millimet I mean I probably could

get another point that is actually

pretty good for for what you're getting

so I might be able to get this to a b an

85 based on this is for the more

expensive robots and so I need to come

up with a scoring sheet just for these

like mid-range ones so I've been kind of

negative I've been really down on this

so don't let that it is a good robot

it's not an a robot in my opinion but

that's with price so man this is just so

hard to give you know you don't want to

give you do want to give something

that's cheap a good score if it's doing

what it's telling you it's supposed to

do no I'm I'm good the B is the the B is

a good score I think I give the noral

Freo x a b also um and I'm I'm I'm happy

with that because showing it mopping up

you know you're I'm going have a lot of

work now I've got to clean this I

actually got to clean my floor you know

with an actual mop or maybe I should do

the

yui yes let's do it okay the yui is

going to clean this

room that's an ex that's that's an

awesome mopping robot

yeah everywhere I'm walking is

sticky it just spread the coke

everywhere in my opinion they should

they should Market this as easability

as it raises its M pad that was very

hidden you should definitely not show it

as this mops up coffee stains that are

days old it's not going to do that it's

everyday mopping now it is a good

mop to mop but you can't you can't use

any it's just water so for everyday

mopping you know dust getting the dust

off the floor once every two or three

days it's a great mop for that and

you've got different you've

got mapping

liar they really really need to Market

this and I I actually don't care for the

throwaway bags I think that's kind of

wasteful I'm glad they give you this bag

but you can you know this is called the

handsfree where you just lift this up

and throw this away but that's a lot of

lot of waste in my opinion

this is the moping

robot it's got a ful length brush

roller and it's

putting it's not just recirculating the

bad solution it's putting new solution

down and scraping off the old what's

picked up on the roller brush it has a

dirty water tank so but this thing is

like 1,500 bucks but it has a dirty

water tank so this is like a

tinaco tinacos have a roller brush and

they squirt water on the roller brush

before it hits your floor it wipes your

floor and then it gets scraped off on

the back side into a dirty water tank

and that's exactly what this

does and you have solution and

water but again the Narwhal and it it

auto lifts the mop

Pad but again

$1,500 compared to three

so I know I'm having fun

today they're not comparable but I want

to show you what you're what things are

capable of

doing and B basically just to show that

you can't show that

advertising yeah I wish I could tell you

how much Coca-Cola is on this

floor it is all just so sticky there's

the yui clean

amp so I do recommend it for it is has

limited

capabilities it actually does a pretty

good job of vacuuming I like that it has

this reusable one you know the water

tank it doesn't tell you when it's empty

but you got to keep an eye on it so

you're going to be kind of working on it

you're going to be undocking it taking

this lid off flipping it over putting

this on you're going to be doing a lot

more work taking that off so it doesn't

mold they do give you disposable ones

too um I like that they give you two of

these and these look pretty heavy duty

putting those in the wash but you're

going to be doing some work for that

price point again bought this with my

own money I can do whatever I want with

it running over liquid you know I'm not

sure I would have done that if they

would have given it to me for free but I

think I'm going to keep it it does have

a place I want to learn the system a

little bit more narwhal's just been the

hardest one to learn because they're so

different Robo rock

yui those guys they

typically their their software is not

the same but they're do they're trying

to accomplish the same things

even dream they've got some different

things but they're trying to accomplish

the same things and kind of the same

settings with all of them and the

Narwhal has just been so different again

in my opinion narwhal just wants you to

set it down map your house divide up the

rooms a little bit and just press Start

every time put it on a schedule let it

do its thing don't really get too in the

don't get too in the settings with

it and yeah that I don't see I don't

feel any Coca-Cola

this is too much fun today task

paused let's take a

look I mean I think this is what it's

all

about you got to press these buttons at

the same time there's the dirty there's

the

dirty there's the dirty water tank

wish I could pull this up a there's see

there's the dirty water that's the

Coca-Cola that's been scraped off the

roller and there's the roller

brush again it puts liquid down on the

front of it it scrapes your floor and

then it scrapes the dirty water off of

the roller continuously there it also

vacuums now some people say oh it's not

a really great vacuum n i don't agree

with that I think it does a great job

and I'm going to show I've been doing it

I'm going doing test it's been cleaning

this basement for a while and I'm going

to open up the the dust bin I mean we're

going to Simply we're going to open up

this this bag and just see what it's

picked up so to say it's not a great

vacuum I mean is it the best probably

not but it does vacuum so pretty excited

about this this is the first one I've

seen like and I think this is going to

be the

standard you we've got the robo

rocks you know they do just smear the

stuff the dirty water reservoir to

securely

more uh I did buy this off of Amazon

they do love to put this on sale I have

seen it on sale quite a few times it is

relatively new though so if you click on

the link the product won't cost you

anymore but I will get a small

absolutely amazing

so if it wasn't I might have been

hesitant on saying H you know is it this

good is it that good I typically want so

I want to buy the products with my own

money with that one I was able to make

an exception and and it it's just an

extremely good product it's the brand

new ninja

slushie again ninja did send it to me

for free but honestly I was able to give

it an outstanding review because it it's

a it's it's a product ninja makes

products that brings families together

ninja makes products

ninja makes products that create

memories so you're you can have so much

fun with friends and family with these

type of products outside we've got the

ninja that's the pizza oven everybody

can make their own

pizza so again I really do appreciate

everybody's support I'm on Facebook I'm

if I give an honest review on their

this is just super tricky and new for me

I I you know I've not done anything like

this so but I'm really really starting I

want to resonate with a brand of honest

reviews and that's way I can buy it with

my own money and I can tell you would I

spend this actual Mone of money on this

product and I can tell you that um and

I'm not beholding to anybody sending me

an email or any manufacturer now again I

am going to have some relationships I

think in the future with a couple

companies and I don't know how that's

going to work out yet and if I find it

being a problem I may not do it so but I

do have to figure that out and it's it's

just going to take some work I'm doing a

lot of research right now but again 95%

of these products are products I'm going

to buy and you be you'd be surprised

with the products I send back and I I'll

tell you that in the video I'll be like

nope this is going there's been I've

sent probably five or six really

expensive Robot vacuum cleaners back

because I'm like no that's my money and

I I want it back this robot is not

performing the way that they said it was

going to

perform so again I just really do

appreciate everybody support I have an

like I do air fryers I do robots I do I

did a bunch of coffee makers I'm not

doing as many now but I'm doing the new

seconds I think I forget what it is but

if you end up watching that video for a

little bit and you end up purchasing the

from as should you buy this and I half

my videos are like you've already bought

it here's how to use it so I got a ton

of videos just how to use it and then

I've got a bunch about 20% are like how

to fix it and then another 20% are like

how to clean it so lots and lots of

videos my my

opinion and I get this a lot also was my

opinion on videos that why don't you say

this is really really bad well I will if

it is but a lot of times they just work

differently than I want it to work and

so I don't necessarily say it's bad I'm

like this is how it works I prefer this

way but this because what I've run into

the past where I've I've called

something really bad I'll get a comment

somebody says that's the actual option I

need and I love it for that so then I'm

like oh yeah that's that's right that

this option that this coffee maker has

or the

uh robot has maybe the perfect option

that you need I don't need it and that

for that reason I'm not going to say

it's bad it never buy it a lot of times

you'll see me just saying these are how

they work now I hope that helps that's

what I'm I'm trying to help as much as I

can so again appreciate this this is

going to be my this is going to be the

commercial at the end of the videos I

will always try to keep that there I

know people the number one comment are

like thank you for getting to the point

so all the comments commentary is at the

end you don't have to listen to it here

of the meat and potatoes of the video I

will keep that at the beginning and I
