How to use X Pro - formerly Tweetdeck

hi and welcome to howto with Roland

today we're going to take a look at xpro

this is for people who pay for their X

account it used to be tweet deck which

was of course free and you could use

tweet deck absolutely no problem at all

it looked like this it reacted like this

some extra features probably since it

was free however you now only get it if

you get the blue tick

so when you're on your Twitter account

on a web page you get all the various

features your messages and communities

you can uh look at things like your

lists Etc but on xpro you get it all set

up how you'd like it to look and you can

set it up in different styles with

different looks uh set up different

decks I'll show you that in a moment so

each of the sections here you see you

have a column let me just get rid of

that in a moment so we start back where

we were so you have the four U's

that X is recommending or the ones you

actually follow you can follow just from

this section here so that's in home how

do you set these columns up well simply

you start off with clicking on add a

column so you decide that you want your

home timeline or a list or a search box

message box we can set up one for grock

that is now a grock we can then ask

grock a question we can move grock by

moving a column by just grabbing hold of

it and any column we can move wherever

and whenever we like we can also set up

the width of an individual column so

here we might change that to medium so

we could get a bit more of a view or we

may even go wide you can change the size

of the media preview as well so if you

want to make that go smaller You' be

able to do that if you wish depending on

what's on display you can rename the

column should you wish click on there

and then change the column name there

quite easy to do if you want to um move

it again you can just do that and then

move it into a different deck rather

than just sliding along the actual deck

you can see if you want to clear the

post in there and then see the latest

ones you can do that as well or we can

delete an entire column very flexible

what we can do with this let's just go

back to

narrow and so columns for all kinds of

things so if you want a column for one

account so if you want to follow One

account like I follow Southwest Sports

we set that column up just to be for

that particular account again we can

have it appear how we like so we can see

it easier that's the case we can look at

replies

we can look at uh need to cross that off

first of all any photographs of media

they've published as well and then find

that quite quickly all from this one

column you've got an i button there show

show the overview of it which is here

show or hide info about this column

we've got a search we can search it as

well and we've also got the column

options again to from there just close

that off a second so all useful stuff if

you want to go back to the options click

there set it back to arrow and it's done

if we want to delete that column then

literally as I say it's so easy to do

from here just

click on the column name then we can

delete it I'm not going to do that

because I want that for

later now if we decide we'd like

different decks you can create a deck

from scratch I've got one here with just

the lists that I've created or you can

do it for list and list that you follow

if you wish to do that from there we can

click on new deck so from a new deck we

I just call this one test for a moment

but you can just see how you set up a

deck you can choose an emoji for it

we'll leave it as a star for now done so

now we've got a completely new deck

completely

blank and we can decide what we're going

to do so we might just set this one up

for certain people people we wish to

follow in which case that would be quite

easy to

do we'll go to

profiles search for profile let's say

I'm going to follow LOL

athletic then we'll do another one

profiles

again this time I might want to follow

uh Grassroots there done then we'll add

a column this time let's profiles again

firstly

that one and this time I want to follow

suay

Trevor and that's he's come up straight

at the top of the list so now I'm just

going to see in these columns what these

people post I can see what they reply to

should I wish to do that and I can just

see their media so that's all their

pictures they've

posted so interesting how you can do

this and again I say I can move these

around how I like and I can literally

just have that one for certain accounts

and I'm like I'll give that a name that

makes it easy for me to know what it was

about so it's a very very good system

for managing your Twitter account so if

you've got multiple accounts that you

pay for you''ll be able to add more

accounts to this but if you don't pay

for them then it will no longer work on

accounts that are not paid for under the

more button here you have got how you

can manage your decks from here so

that's your list so you can slide these

around if I want the test one at the top

or second place wherever want it we can

move them around let's get it right

there we go I didn't go too soon no

doesn't we've done it so there we are so

we've managed to move that now um

basically what else have we got we can

delete a deck from here we can do the

settings from here and change the icon

we want to do that we can pin one to the

top should we wish and if we just close

that off for a second we can go back to

more again you can have a look at the

display from here you can change the

color so you want to change it to Red

can do that straight away you want the

size of your text to be larger or

smaller you can do it from here uh

you've got the column widths you can set

as a default from narrow to medium to

wide your media preview you can set

smaller on standard your background you

can have on default or you can have it

on dim and it goes like

that or you can have on what call lights

out move that we can change colors here

again there we

go and then you can show hover cards

here when Hing over interactive item

which I do and you've got your message

tabs button there so collapsible

messages tab available at the bottom of

your

screen so lots of things you can do here

I'll just go back to Blue a minute there

we go and we'll go back to

default I've got my computer so it goes

dark at night anyway so that's how easy

it is to set up a a list there so very

good stuff I would recommend that if you

are paying for x that you do use this

you'll find it much easier to manage

your account from here when you post uh

you can post using adding media adding a

gif you can do your polls from here you

can add an emoji you can schedule your

post to go out you can tag the location

and You' got bold and italic type as

well so if you want to do a schedule

tweet or should say post now shouldn't I

old habits you can set the date from

here so quite a bit ahead and you can

also see any schedule posts that you've

got scheduled as well you can use the

calendar dropdown should you wish or

just let it roll into the right date

that you want to do you'll confirm it

and then that post will go out at that

time and date so it's easy to use it's a

great way of really managing your X

account now I hope you found this useful

quick tour of it really um but I thought

you might find it helpful to take a look

at it and to benefit really from what x
