The Wall Street Journal just put

0:02

together a piece that really makes me

0:04

concerned that a lot more people need to

0:06

sign up for life insurance via the link

0:08

down below the sponsored link on signing

0:10

up in this little five minutes no

0:12

actually it's this piece right here that

0:14

is a little disappointing American

0:16

values uh have pulled back according to

0:20

a new Wall Street Journal and University

0:22

of Chicago poll and I want to show you

0:25

some of the takeaways here patriotism

0:29

religious faith and having children

0:30

other priorities are receding in

0:34

importance some uh take a look at some

0:37

of these charts over here okay so we're

0:38

going to go through so these look at

0:40

this percentage of Americans who say

0:43

values are very important to them this

0:46

is a 1998 a study right here compared to

0:51

2019 compared to 2023. listen to this

0:56

patriotism went from 70 percent

0:58

important to 61 percent important to

1:02

just 38 important now I actually think

1:05

that's really sad uh I actually fly an

1:08

American flag on uh both my office and

1:11

my home I'm a big fan of America I

1:13

wasn't born in America uh I I'm an

1:16

immigrant I'm a big fan of the

1:17

opportunities that America creates so I

1:20

I'm very sad to see that now who knows

1:22

maybe maybe is that because of people's

1:24

frustration with politics you know have

1:26

things gotten too divisive uh in in our

1:29

country maybe but that's kind of sad to

1:32

see religion people who say religion are

1:35

very important to them look at that

1:36

going from 62 percent in the last 25

1:39

years down to 39 nine percent religion

1:42

becoming way less important yikes look

1:45

at this one having children what the

1:48

hell man having children halved in

1:51

importance to people from 59 to 30. dude

1:54

I want to have like 10 children I'm like

1:57

Lauren start lining up surrogates like

2:00

this is taking too long like we need an

2:02

army of children here we only have two I

2:05

need a 10x man I need 20 children uh and

2:08

she's like but you said six when we

2:10

started and I go clickbait and she's

2:12

like ah all right well I'm used to that

2:15

oh anyway having children have in

2:18

importance like what the heck

2:20

Community involvement has fallen in

2:23

importance down to 27 percent crazy

2:27

crazy and look at the only thing that

2:30

actually went up in importance from 31

2:33

importance to 43 importance baby the Big

2:38

M word money money money

2:41

that's the only thing that's gone up in

2:44

importance how crazy is that to people

2:47

now there's a lot in this look at this

2:49

so we saw the patriotism decline uh only

2:52

23 of adults under 30 said having

2:55

children is very important are you

2:58

kidding me more children more children I

3:01

will I will make up for this

3:03

single-handedly make sure we have more

3:05

children in America I'll take it upon

3:07

myself that'll be my charity is having

3:09

more children

3:10

what else do we have here oh yeah there

3:12

are some more polls here look at this

3:14

percentage of these values are very

3:17

important to them okay we saw that about

3:19

okay that's a reformatted chart here we

3:21

go for each of the following has our

3:24

society gone too far not gone far enough

3:27

or is it about right

3:30

and the following chart shows the people

3:32

who say something has gone too far so

3:35

accepting people who are transgender

3:38

Republicans say it has gone too far well

3:41

that's true if you go on Republican Tick

3:43

Tock or Twitter right now basically

3:45

everybody's like that's it transgender

3:47

people are now shooting up schools this

3:49

is because of the disaster that just

3:51

occurred in Nashville absolutely

3:53

horrific thank God police were already

3:56

on site clearing the first floor of that

3:58

school before shots started being fired

4:00

by an individual who had a rifle and a

4:02

handgun thank God police were already on

4:05

scene when the shooting began uh it's

4:08

still terrible that six people had to

4:09

lose their lives three eight

4:11

nine-year-olds absolutely disgusting uh

4:14

and and three adults who were in their

4:16

60s terrible absolutely terrible and

4:18

devastating but but anyway you go on

4:20

Republican drink done now everybody's

4:21

blaming the transgender Community you

4:23

know which that's not fair uh

4:25

and I know people are going through like

4:28

the list of School shooters and stuff

4:29

and they're like oh well look at all

4:31

these people who identify in in whatever

4:33

ways

4:34

I I I I don't know like I

4:37

I don't think

4:39

that we could really take School

4:41

shooters and identify and say that's it

4:44

people who are of of one persuasion are

4:47

definitely School shooters I think that

4:49

goes a little too far but you do see

4:50

that kind of stuff on the Republican

4:52

Tick Tock and Twitter right now I'm open

4:53

to obviously your opinions on that uh

4:55

you know I personally I I there's I have

4:58

no problem with accepting people who are

5:01

a gay lesbian bisexual you want to be

5:03

trans I have no problem with that that's

5:05

my opinion right it's it's totally my

5:07

opinion uh and so I actually I think

5:10

that could potentially go further so I

5:13

probably sit over here in more of that

5:14

independent Camp uh where people are

5:17

like no it hasn't gone too far but it

5:19

actually seems like a lot of Republicans

5:21

agree with that only half of Republicans

5:24

think uh acceptance of gay and bisexual

5:26

has gone too far so that that seems to

5:28

be pretty uh pretty neutral there

5:29

schools and universities taking steps to

5:32

promote racial and ethnic diversity uh

5:35

this is the same question is then asked

5:37

of businesses so they ask question of

5:39

schools and universities and then

5:41

businesses and here there's a really big

5:44

divide so uh here you have Republicans

5:48

who think you know over half of them

5:50

think this has gone way too far but only

5:52

six to seven percent of those on the

5:54

left think it's gone uh too far I also

5:57

again probably identify in the middle

5:59

here uh and more of the independent Camp

6:02

uh but but yeah I mean they're they're

6:04

like I'm a big fan of Merit uh I'm a big

6:08

fan of I don't care if you're Muslim if

6:11

you're Jewish I I'm not Jewish but I

6:14

went to a temple as a child because I

6:16

don't care uh what your religion is I

6:18

don't care what color your skin is none

6:20

of that matters to me you know what

6:22

matters to me is that you work your ass

6:23

off that's it and the people around me

6:25

who work their ass off whether they know

6:28

it not or yet or whether they know it

6:30

now or will know it at some point they

6:33

will realize I recognize it very highly

6:36

and they will get substantially rewarded

6:38

for that

6:39

but the point is to me I'm a big fan of

6:42

hard work big big fan the people who

6:45

work hard it doesn't matter if you're

6:47

you're uh Jewish or Muslim or black or

6:49

Indian or Mormon or whatever right uh so

6:52

I'm a big fan of Merit and I do think

6:54

there is a potential argument that uh uh

6:57

forcing uh A diversity allocation uh

7:02

might have gone a little too far I think

7:04

there's an argument to be made there

7:05

where uh you know skill-based jobs are

7:09

potentially going in the wrong direction

7:11

uh solely because of quotas that need to

7:14

be met so I do have concerns with that

7:16

and and that's not to say that there

7:19

shouldn't be balanced representation of

7:21

opinions between men and women and

7:22

people of different backgrounds but we

7:25

we can't let Merit be sacrificed based

7:28

on that that's my opinion uh you know

7:30

maybe unpopular opinion I don't know at

7:33

least I'll I'll speak my mind

7:35

so uh I think this is a very interesting

7:37

piece right here uh and it's the saddest

7:41

thing to me is is probably over here

7:43

that you have a really big decline in

7:45

patriotism amongst uh left uh people on

7:49

the left and Independence uh and a

7:52

massive decline in children across the

7:54

board all walks of life declining here

7:57

in uh in having children and patriotism

8:00

on more on the left and middle Community

8:02

involvement across the board plummeting

8:04

uh and uh and then this this increase

8:07

basically in in money yes and importance

8:09

from the 1998 levels probably

8:12

unsurprising I think some of that is

8:15

potentially due to a cynicism of the

8:18

system so I think like the way I might

8:20

explain this is I think a lot of us are

8:23

realizing we have to take care of

8:25

ourselves we have to become basically

8:27

financially independent that you you

8:30

can't uh rely on a union or the

8:33

government to support you and really we

8:37

have to rely on ourselves

8:39

so I think as a result of that maybe we

8:43

could say maybe that's why people see a

8:46

community uh involvement as an

8:50

opportunity cost maybe uh children as an

8:54

expense that's a terrible thing to say

8:57

uh but it's possible right and then less

9:01

belief in government possibly based on

9:04

the extremeness uh that we see on social

9:08

media and mainstream media that

9:11

basically divides our country more

9:15

so that would be my explanation for why

9:18

we're seeing more of an interest in

9:19

money which is great for people like me

9:22

who are encouraging people to check out

9:23

programs on building your wealth link

9:25

down below because I actually believe I

9:28

sincerely believe I could teach you how

9:29

to become a millionaire especially at

9:31

zero to zero to millionaire real estate

9:33

investing combined with stocks and Psych

9:35

I think anybody watching this can do it

9:37

I'm highly confident of that like the

9:39

road is there you just have to go on it

9:41

uh but anyway uh I think there is a

9:44

potential

9:45

that that the cynicism that we're seeing

9:47

in in uh political parties in government

9:49

is actually leading to a higher interest

9:52

in becoming financially independent in

9:54

our society so I think that's very

9:57

interesting to me somebody here writes

9:58

that's the destruction of the nuclear

10:00

family yeah I I think that's um you know

10:03

I mean I know there are a lot of

10:04

single-parent households and it's

10:05

terrible I think uh you know I I you

10:07

know my parents divorced when I was six

10:09

and I think divorce is terrible I think

10:11

single parent households are a lot more

10:13

challenged certainly than the nuclear

10:15

family so to speak

10:17

corporate wokeness to avoid litigation

10:19

is being confused with ordinary morals

10:22

yeah I do think that that has a lot of

10:24

Merit in what you're saying I do think

10:26

there's a lot of fear about uh uh

10:28

litigation that's leading to a lot of

10:30

the policies that we see today hard to

10:32

feel patriotic or desire to have

10:34

children when you live in financial

10:35

precarity as many young people continue

10:38

to do this is true yeah I mean if you

10:40

don't have money you can't have children

10:41

absolutely right absolutely right

10:43

completely agree with you the road is

10:45

there but not everyone can afford the

10:47

tolls

10:48

um well yeah but I I mean I think there

10:51

are ways to get to where you can afford

10:53

you know going down the path like it's

10:56

not everybody watching this can buy real

10:59

estate in their life it's just a matter

11:01

of knowing that how to play the game

11:03

that's why I have programs on building

11:05

your wealthers is I'm trying to teach

11:06

people how to play the game it's a game

11:08

you got to know how to play the game to

11:10

win

11:11

if you don't know the rules of the game

11:12

why do you think you're losing why do

11:14

you think you're broke well because

11:16

nobody's taught you the rules of the

11:17

game once you know the rules of the game

11:19

it's a lot easier to get ahead in my

11:20

opinion

11:21

Republican values from that poll seem

11:23

more in line with core values that made

11:25

America great uh steep well we know

11:27

Steve I mean this is coming from from

11:30

Steve this is uh Commodities guy uh

11:33

that's okay though I mean and Steve

11:35

acknowledges the uh you know his

11:37

position he's not bashful about his

11:39

position but I mean look I mean having

11:41

children and Community involvement and

11:43

patriotism uh and a merit-based economy

11:46

these are in regardless of your

11:49

political persuasion very important

11:51

values uh

11:54

very important values so uh Merit over

11:57

immutable traits you know for example I

12:01

personally think uh it's uh it's it's

12:03

unfair uh not that I'd want to but uh

12:07

you know some people when I ran for

12:09

governor they're like oh it's so lame

12:10

you can't run for president because you

12:12

were born in a different country and I'm

12:14

like I didn't choose where I was born I

12:16

didn't choose to be white like I didn't

12:19

choose those two things I have zero

12:21

control over that but no amount of Merit

12:23

will change the color of my skin or

12:25

where I was born and so to some extent

12:28

you know some people have alluded to the

12:30

Constitutional requirement of being born

12:32

in the United States as almost a form of

12:35

bornism I'm not trying to call it racism

12:38

but that's kind of what some people call

12:39

it

12:40

uh kind of crazy

12:42

so crazy crazy time uh to to be alive

12:46

and uh sad to see some of those changes

12:48

in the polls there but um

12:51

update on a change in American values

12:54

from a point of view of the Wall Street

12:57

Journal and it makes me want to remind
