0:01

hey everyone me Kevin here coming to you

0:03

from outside of the New York Stock

0:04

Exchange where we will be ringing the

0:06

bell at 4 P.M on Friday and we've got to

0:08

talk about potentially Elon Musk no

0:10

longer being the CEO of Tesla quick note

0:13

that Friday at 5 PM we'll also do a

0:16

Meetup outside the New York Stock

0:17

Exchange I'll post more details likely

0:19

tomorrow exactly where and all the good

0:20

stuff you're welcome to come no RSVP

0:23

meet needed just feel free to show up

0:25

and we'll get to meet you there so that

0:26

way it's officially met Kevin anyway so

0:29

ping West whom a lot of people say is

0:32

kind of like a Fudd reporter for Tesla

0:35

uh and may have not done the best at it

0:37

translating as some people are saying is

0:41

potentially now reporting that Elon Musk

0:44

is looking to find a new CEO for Tesla

0:47

and that individual may have already

0:49

been chosen it says here that source is

0:51

close to Tesla China told pink West that

0:53

Zoo's work ethic is very similar to

0:55

musk's has almost no personal life and

0:57

is demanding of subordinates and that

1:00

this individual can can now sleep in

1:02

gigafactories on behalf of Elon Musk so

1:04

Elon Musk no longer apparently has to do

1:06

that instead he could sleep on the floor

1:07

over at Twitter now this is leading to a

1:10

lot of rumors about wait a minute is

1:12

this true is this nonsense what's

1:14

actually going on here and what are the

1:15

implications of this what does it mean

1:17

for Tesla stock well I'm going to

1:18

provide obviously my opinion on that in

1:20

just a moment but apparently Zoo zytong

1:23

uh some folks are reporting I don't know

1:25

I can't verify this but has potentially

1:27

already been in the United States for a

1:29

couple months as some were saying he

1:30

already has some form of uh foreign

1:32

citizenship we're not sure if that's

1:34

Australian or if that's an American

1:37

citizenship we have no idea some folks

1:39

are saying that this is uh probably fake

1:43

news although Elon Musk has not come out

1:44

to deny it and I have to say Elon Musk

1:47

is pretty dang quick at shutting down

1:49

any kind of fake news not always but uh

1:51

you know if the New York Times brings it

1:52

out he seems to be pretty fast at

1:54

shutting him down he calls him fake news

1:56

pretty often it's kind of like he's

1:58

filled in for Donald Trump a little bit

1:59

in terms of Bash in the New York Times

2:02

other folks say this this seems

2:04

far-fetched and very unlikely uh for

2:07

example Gary black friend of mine says

2:09

Elon said in court a few weeks ago that

2:12

he planned to hire a Twitter CEO and

2:15

therefore he's suggesting that well if

2:16

Elon Musk suggested hiring a Twitter CEO

2:19

he'll remain as CEO of uh Tesla

2:22

therefore right so let me add my opinion

2:24

on this so my take on this is Elon Musk

2:27

has been very clear in the past he

2:28

doesn't actually want to be the CEO

2:30

think about what a CEO does a CEO has to

2:33

deal with all the legal complaints has

2:35

to deal with all a signing off on all

2:37

the financials the buck stops with them

2:39

on all of the busy work all the

2:42

paperwork all the legal work the SEC

2:44

work

2:45

every decision has to be signed or

2:48

almost every decision with the exception

2:49

of things that their attorneys or

2:51

subordinates can obviously sign off on

2:52

most of these busy work decisions end up

2:55

stopping at the CEO's desk and it takes

2:57

away from what Elon Musk has previously

3:00

lamented his ability to be

3:02

intellectually free and think about

3:03

research focus on Research development

3:06

focus on batteries focus on uh you know

3:09

the Robotics and The Innovation that

3:12

actually made Tesla what it is he

3:14

believes that being the CEO doing that

3:16

sort of busy work takes away from his

3:19

opportunity to actually come up with

3:21

more Innovation so when folks say oh no

3:25

if Elon Musk steps down he's stepping

3:27

down to spend more time at Twitter that

3:30

might be true in the short term I

3:32

actually don't believe in the long term

3:33

it makes very much of a difference for

3:35

Tesla personally I think the Tesla

3:37

thesis is only damaged in the short term

3:40

by Twitter drama the more Twitter drama

3:43

we have we've spoken about this before

3:44

the more Twitter John we have them or

3:46

the thesis for Tesla looks broken when

3:48

in fact nothing's really changed sure

3:50

Tesla demand in China might be faltering

3:53

but so is demand for Bentley and yeah

3:55

was that unexpected absolutely is it

3:58

really a game changer for the next two

3:59

to five years for Tesla no absolutely

4:01

not the growth story is in my opinion

4:03

still intact we're getting to 2.1

4:05

million Vehicles we're getting to 4

4:07

million Vehicles we're getting to 5

4:08

million Vehicles then we get the cyber

4:10

truck and potentially a lower priced

4:11

vehicle uh and you know maybe that's

4:13

that's when it starts becoming time to

4:14

diversify unless of course then we start

4:16

introducing robotics or or full self

4:18

driving that's actually to the point

4:20

where now Tesla can release a vehicle

4:21

that doesn't even need a steering wheel

4:23

right these are obviously all down the

4:25

road decisions to be made but in the

4:27

near term does it make sense to say oh

4:29

Tesla's not all of a sudden going to

4:31

still grow EPS by a 40 plus percent year

4:34

over year just because of some softness

4:37

in China or because potentially Elon

4:39

Musk isn't the CEO no in my opinion it's

4:41

complete nonsense doesn't really change

4:43

the thesis for Tesla whatsoever ever now

4:46

I want to be very clear because you know

4:48

some folks say hey but I mean Kevin

4:49

obviously if the markets come down uh 50

4:52

on Tesla this year uh clearly you know

4:55

the recession Theory doesn't work for

4:57

Tesla and the problem here is Tesla

4:59

hasn't really had the opportunity to

5:01

prove their ability to show their 40 to

5:04

50 EPS growth yet because in Q2 you had

5:07

the Shanghai shutdown in Q3 you had

5:10

fears that oh okay well what happened

5:14

with deliveries all of a sudden we

5:15

delivered less Vehicles than we produced

5:17

and that that usually doesn't happen of

5:19

course Tesla ended up suggesting that

5:21

these were delivery uh you know Freight

5:24

style issues they don't have enough

5:25

trains they don't have enough trucks

5:26

remember that was a big deal so you have

5:29

actually not had a period where Tesla's

5:31

really caught a break now obviously

5:33

you're dealing with the culmination of

5:35

all of the Twitter flood every time

5:36

there's a problem at Twitter we think

5:37

Elon Musk is going to run for the doors

5:39

again start selling more stock because

5:40

he's got to fund losses over at Twitter

5:42

uh certainly doesn't help that Apple

5:44

pulled out and then he met with Tim Cook

5:46

and now it sounds like they're going to

5:48

raise prices for Twitter blue to further

5:50

subsidize the Twitter blue advertising

5:51

and the check marks got a lot of drama

5:53

with the check marks now maybe we're

5:55

going to get different color check marks

5:56

maybe not Now notifications are popping

5:58

up on people's screens suggesting oh

6:00

this person might be notable or not we

6:02

really have no idea even though they

6:04

were verified at one point by Twitter

6:05

all that is being cast to shame Twitter

6:07

files debacle is crazy leading people to

6:09

think there's still more Jim Bakers

6:11

sitting inside of Twitter that need to

6:13

be fired and they're just going to lead

6:15

to more problems for ultimately Elon

6:17

Musk having to sell more Stark so you've

6:18

done

6:19

some incredible incredible unfortunate

6:23

chains of events that have really held

6:26

tesl back not only do you have macro

6:28

going against it Twitter going against

6:30

it the Shanghai shutdowns fears of more

6:32

shutdowns as we've had covet explosion

6:34

but then you got Twitter now you've got

6:36

this talk about maybe Elon Musk not

6:38

being the CEO

6:39

Tesla just needs in my opinion this is

6:42

just my take this is not Financial

6:44

advice look I'm a licensed financial

6:45

advisor I run an

6:48

ETF I run educational courses and try to

6:51

provide as much value as possible does

6:53

that mean I can look into a crystal ball

6:54

and say exactly what's going to happen

6:55

when it's going to happen no of course

6:57

not be really rich off options if that

6:59

were the case I wouldn't be making

7:01

videos every single day all day long

7:02

trying to grind to to help provide value

7:05

because remember you provide value you

7:07

can do more things that's always my

7:09

belief you put the energy out in the

7:11

universe ignore the Envy don't get

7:13

caught in the swamp of envy you just

7:15

keep putting one foot in front of the

7:16

other in the long term you'll succeed

7:19

but ask yourself how many quarters has

7:21

Tesla recently actually had unimpaired

7:24

of garbage bad news the reality is zero

7:28

it's it's just been bad news it's only

7:31

been bad news

7:32

but then when you actually look at the

7:33

fundamentals you're like

7:36

has the growth story really been

7:38

impaired by any of these are we

7:41

potentially

7:42

not going to ramp Giga Berlin and uh

7:46

Giga Austin at all are the 4680 is not

7:49

going to happen are the semi trucks not

7:51

going to happen are the Cyber trucks not

7:52

gonna happen right those things might

7:53

take a little bit longer but they always

7:55

do

7:56

that doesn't mean they're not coming

7:58

so in my opinion it's

8:01

we stand at an opportunity or at a

8:03

moment right now where you can ask

8:05

yourself do you let all of the nonsense

8:07

that I mention

8:09

in Warren Buffett's example baseball's

8:11

being thrown at you with low prices for

8:13

Tesla oh 170 175 tell you that you've

8:17

made a failed fundamental decision

8:19

or do you pick up those balls and say

8:21

you know what I'm going to buy some of

8:22

these I'm going to increase my quantity

8:24

of this company because I expect and I

8:25

don't need the money maybe within the

8:27

next two to five years right that might

8:28

be what you're saying to yourself and

8:29

you're in a position where you say you

8:30

know what this is a great opportunity to

8:32

increase my quantity and build a

8:34

position in a company that's probably

8:36

going to have the most pricing power

8:37

coming out of this recession I want you

8:38

to ask yourself this and this is what

8:39

we're gonna end the video on

8:41

what do you think is going to happen

8:42

when interest rates for cars plummet and

8:45

all of a sudden Tesla has all of their

8:48

factories ramped imagine this Shanghai

8:51

ramped Berlin ramped

8:53

Austin ramped Fremont at capacity

8:57

all the facilities crank it Nevada

8:59

cranking its batteries New York solar

9:03

roof everything's cranking and then all

9:06

of a sudden interest rates plummet

9:07

because the FED realizes they overdid it

9:09

what do you think

9:11

EPS is going to look like

9:13

and then combine that with the fact

9:17

or the likely possibility I shouldn't

9:19

say fact the likely possibility that

9:21

this Twitter overhang is gone

9:25

I'll leave the result to your

9:27

imagination good luck everybody we'll

9:28

see you at the New York Stock Exchange

9:30

remember coupon code PP expires on

9:31

Friday and keep going never let the

9:34

swamp Hold You Down
