0:00

a used car crash delinquencies arising

0:03

and an economy that's supposedly good in

0:07

this video not only will we cover the

0:09

economy but we'll also catch you up with

0:11

a little bit of clarity in what we

0:13

talked about yesterday with Muslim

0:15

immigration and what's going on with

0:18

Gaza and Israel some premature

0:21

celebrating that actually happened

0:23

unfortunately in the Gaza Strip and why

0:26

we'll touch on some of the latest

0:28

earnings and we'll also touch on Donald

0:31

Trump and the full load of information

0:34

we got from stormmy Daniels yesterday as

0:37

well as that jail threat but first we've

0:41

got to start with FTX remember FTX the

0:44

crypto broker dealer that ended up being

0:47

a massive fraud thanks to the most

0:50

honest man in the world not being so

0:52

honest well this most honest man in the

0:55

world almost caught Taylor Swift for

0:59

quite frankly concert tours with a lush

1:04

and beautiful sponsorship package which

1:07

Taylor Swift had already signed Taylor

1:10

Swift never ended up pitching FTX though

1:13

because s bankman freed delayed signing

1:16

his portion potentially playing too many

1:18

video games for about 30 to 60 days

1:22

that's at least what we're hearing from

1:25

reports and then the company went

1:27

bankrupt the most generous man in in the

1:30

world looped in Tom Brady Kevin o

1:32

stadiums referees you name it and now

1:36

the company is actually expected to pay

1:38

back more than it owes to folks now

1:43

there's some remarkable detail to this

1:45

but let's start with knowing that

1:48

usually when a company goes bankrupt

1:50

this might be what you have in the

1:52

company and what you get back is usually

1:54

Pennies on the dollar so let's say you

1:57

had a stable coin at a company like uh

2:01

Voyager digital you might just get a

2:05

fraction of your money back maybe 5% of

2:08

your money back if you're lucky as a lot

2:11

of the money that's available goes into

2:13

legal fees and defaults it

2:16

sucks well in the case of FTX because of

2:20

the rise in crypto valuations FTX per

2:23

Bloomberg is expected to pay back

2:26

118% of the original amount of that

2:29

people had stuck on the platform when

2:32

the company went BK now I remember in

2:35

the weeks leading up to the FTX collapse

2:38

we made videos on the channel here

2:41

encouraging people to get out of the

2:43

platform that the risk was not worth

2:45

staying on the platform well fortunately

2:49

now even though that company did

2:51

collapse the company is able to pay back

2:53

100% of principal plus interest now of

2:56

course some of the tokens had they been

2:59

held through the crypto crash that is

3:03

from when the collapse occurred through

3:05

the rest of the crypto crash that

3:07

occurred and then all the way to today

3:10

would be worth more if you had the

3:12

actual token back remember FTX is just

3:15

paying back in cash but it sure beats

3:19

investing in a company or depositing

3:21

money in a company and only getting a

3:23

fraction to 0 back I personally invested

3:27

in blockfi invested about

3:31

$420,000 well $

3:33

42069 I believe was we what we invested

3:36

$420,900

3:59

Let's uh consider for a moment yes if

4:02

somebody held through the rest of the

4:04

crash they'd have more money in the

4:05

actual underlying tokens than the cash

4:08

they're getting back but the reality is

4:10

it's so rare to get any money back in a

4:12

bankruptcy this is really great news

4:14

people are not only expected to get

4:16

their principal back they're also

4:18

expected to get interest back great news

4:20

and it's really the end of an era for

4:23

the crypto collapse it gets the FB uh

4:26

spfs out of the world it gets CZ on a

4:30

straight and narrow path he's only

4:32

spending four months in jail anyway so

4:35

frankly maybe now we can get to a

4:38

regulated environment and get BTC and

4:41

other crypto projects on the straight

4:43

and narrow path to success which is very

4:46

exciting and I'm optimistic about the

4:48

future now with that let's hit don t so

4:53

in case you haven't heard oh boy oh boy

4:56

Donald Trump uh well we had a long story

5:00

from Stormy Daniels yesterday about what

5:02

Donald Trump has been up to apparently

5:04

Stormy Daniels began her career as an

5:05

exotic dancer danced for strip clubs at

5:08

the age of 17 in Louisiana and first met

5:11

Trump at a golf tournament where she

5:14

invited uh uh Donald Trump or I'm sorry

5:17

where she was invited by one of Donald

5:19

Trump's apparently bodyguards this is

5:21

her point of view uh to dinner to which

5:24

originally she said f no but then at

5:27

some point after giving Trump a copy of

5:30

one of the adult films that she wrote

5:31

directed and starred in when she was

5:34

27 she ended up having sex with Donald

5:38

Trump now during the relationship that

5:41

the two had apparently at one point

5:44

Donald Trump suggested that she could

5:46

prove that she's not just a dumb bimbo

5:48

that she's smarter than people think

5:50

that she's smart blonde and beautiful

5:53

and she could shake things up and get a

5:55

lot of attention by going on The

5:57

Apprentice she suggested she's not a bus

5:59

business person and there's no way she

6:01

could win so why would she to which

6:03

Donald Trump allegedly said what if I

6:05

tell you what the challenges are I have

6:08

control maybe I can give you an edge so

6:11

at least you can make a good

6:13

showing that was a bit surprising to me

6:16

because I grew up with watching the

6:18

original Apprentice which I really

6:20

enjoyed and it somewhat breaks my heart

6:22

to think that it was rigged but then

6:24

again that's reality TV for you now

6:28

Stormy Daniels went into testimony on

6:30

what happened in 2006 in that hotel room

6:34

she suggested that Donald Trump was

6:36

arrogant would try to one up her and

6:37

stealed a conversation and it wasn't

6:39

until she threatened to swat him with a

6:43

paddle that he started becoming more

6:46

polite in fact at one point when she was

6:49

invited to Trump's hotel room he was

6:50

wearing silk style pajamas which she

6:54

asked if Donald Trump was aware that

6:58

well I should say does the quote was

7:01

does Mr Hefner as in Hugh Hefner know

7:04

you stole his pajamas Donald Trump

7:07

apparently then changed and they ended

7:10

up having a sexual relationship

7:13

apparently this began as Stormy Daniels

7:16

remembers with her bra on her clothes

7:20

and shoes off and we were in the

7:23

missionary position to which of course

7:25

the judge and the defense quickly

7:27

objected and sustained the motion and

7:31

ended the detail of what was going on or

7:35

at least what Stormy Daniels recalls now

7:39

remember it's really important that

7:40

Stormy Daniels establish at least some

7:42

level of detail because Stormy Daniels

7:45

needs to prove that she actually had sex

7:48

with Donald Trump the mission of the

7:51

defense which tried to declare a

7:52

mistrial when this sort of detail was

7:55

revealed which didn't work now but might

7:58

work in appeal a good setup for an

8:00

appeal in the future or should Donald

8:01

Trump lose but what you have to think is

8:05

the defense needs to make stormmy

8:06

Daniels seem

8:08

noncredible like she's vengeful out for

8:11

hate she was a poor person needed money

8:14

took the money by extorting Donald Trump

8:17

and therefore you've got a defense that

8:20

beats her up by asking in crossx do you

8:23

hate president Trump and Stormy Daniels

8:26

response yes do you want want him to go

8:30

to jail Stormy Daniels replies I want

8:32

him to be held accountable they're

8:34

trying to discredit her this is a very

8:37

common defense strategy in court is

8:42

basically discredit the people that are

8:44

making the defense look weak and

8:47

obviously the Star testimony here is

8:49

from Stormy Daniels as allegedly she had

8:52

sex with Donald Trump which Donald Trump

8:54

then paid to cover up now Donald Trump

8:58

and the defense take the position I that

9:00

we did pay to cover it up but it was a

9:02

fake story therefore no crime was ever

9:04

committed and I shouldn't be in this

9:06

courtroom at all anyway and therefore

9:08

the gag orders against me are illegal

9:10

and I will continue to exercise My First

9:13

Amendment right to free speech which of

9:15

course after 10 violations worth $10,000

9:18

in fines in total the judge has decided

9:20

look keep this up you might have to go

9:22

to jail Donald Trump responded to this

9:25

with if that's what it takes to defend

9:28

the consti

9:30

then I'm ready for my night in

9:32

jail his actual quote was our

9:35

constitution is much more important than

9:36

jail it's not even close I'll give that

9:38

sacrifice any day we know that Donald

9:41

Trump is really into branding so that's

9:44

what we got uh now that uh probably

9:47

would lead to some political donations

9:49

as well if that ended up happening so

9:51

probably wouldn't be uh the uh the the

9:53

worst thing that would happen to Donald

9:55

Trump but anyway uh the point here is

9:59

that while we end up getting more a

10:02

testimony in future Court hearings it's

10:05

worth noting that there's a lot of

10:07

attention going into Donald Trump's hush

10:09

money case and the insights gleaned from

10:12

Stormy Daniels were certainly salacious

10:15

but they don't rise to the evidence

10:18

probably needed to say that what

10:20

happened was indeed 100% fact obviously

10:24

there are no screenshots descriptions of

10:27

unique bodily featur or defects in

10:31

certain area on Donald Trump at least

10:34

from what we've heard and so there are

10:36

limited ways to say that her story could

10:39

be 100% credible and probably it's going

10:43

to be challenging to argue that a jury

10:46

should believe everything Stormy Daniels

10:48

said at least to a level of Beyond

10:52

Reasonable Doubt which is the highest

10:55

burden of proof in a criminal trial

10:58

remember this is not a civil trial where

11:00

you just have the burden of the

11:02

preponderance of the evidence this is a

11:04

criminal fraud trial now of course it is

11:07

for a class E felony which is the lowest

11:09

form of a felony but the burden of proof

11:12

is beyond a reasonable doubt so the jury

11:14

needs to be convinced that Beyond A

11:17

Reasonable Doubt stormmy Daniels had sex

11:20

with Donald Trump and Donald Trump then

11:23

paid to cover it up by misallocating

11:27

business and campaign funding and

11:30

disclosures and lying about it after the

11:32

fact all of these multiple different

11:34

elements a problem if Stormy Daniels did

11:39

actually have sex with Donald Trump

11:41

pretty

11:43

wild with that let's go into the used

11:47

car crash as auto insurance rates are

11:50

skyrocketing to the highest levels since

11:52

the 70s the heaviest keep in mind this

11:56

contributing to the heaviest impact in

11:58

our core CPI readings the latest Manheim

12:01

used vehicle index is down

12:04

14% from a year ago so another words

12:07

everyone who owns a car is seeing the

12:10

value of their car collapse you see that

12:13

on screen here uh this is a chart of

12:16

that used vehicle index collapsing here

12:19

uh on the right down a substantial

12:22

amount uh it's worth noting where the

12:25

declines from a year ago are luxury car

12:27

is down only 12.9% % electric vehicles

12:31

holding their uh values relatively the

12:34

worst down 17.5% compact cars down 176

12:38

midsize down 168 and Pickups only down

12:44

15.2 this all comes this sort of

12:48

frustration in the economy as a result

12:51

of assets that almost all of us own like

12:54

used cars uh and things becoming more

12:57

expensive around us like food and

12:59

groceries and insurances we're being

13:01

told the economy is doing just fine as

13:04

long as you ignore things like the

13:06

transition into delinquency by loan type

13:09

you can see here the 30-day delinquency

13:11

on credit cards is substantially higher

13:14

than what we've seen quite frankly since

13:16

about

13:18

2006 student loan delinquencies still at

13:21

Rock Bottom as some of those payments

13:23

just are essentially deferred in

13:25

perpetuity but autol loan delinquencies

13:28

rising to the high highest levels that

13:29

we've seen uh in since about 2010 keep

13:33

in mind the credit card delinquencies I

13:35

should mention highest level since about

13:37

2006 excluding the Great Recession

13:40

obviously if you include the Great

13:41

Recession you're the highest level since

13:43

about

13:43

2011 and you're now even starting to see

13:47

those mortgage delinquencies start

13:49

Rising soon to be above pre-pandemic

13:52

levels something else to keep in mind is

13:55

the 5-year break even has a slid to 2.3

13:59

32% and we're now pricing in 1.69 rate

14:03

cuts for the year after Apple's

14:05

discounting in China shipments are up

14:08

12% following those March discounts and

14:11

Uber took a surprising loss this morning

14:13

due to investments in other companies

14:16

write downs and a lot of legal fees as

14:18

well as some less than uh expected

14:22

ridership uh or uh well yeah I mean

14:26

frankly uh an overall decline in

14:28

ridership in an area like Latin America

14:31

so coming out of nowhere here with a uh

14:34

a decline in ridership though the rest

14:37

of uh the world and North America much

14:39

like Lyft actually doing quite well you

14:42

did have uh companies here provide some

14:45

insight yesterday skipping past just

14:47

their earnings I wanted to go into their

14:49

earnings call and just see what some of

14:50

these companies are saying about the

14:52

economy and I know a lot of consumers

14:54

don't feel this way because things just

14:56

feel expensive and wrong at the moment

14:59

but a lot of these companies at least

15:01

for themselves are still guiding

15:03

positivity look at toast for example we

15:06

don't see a reason why the second

15:07

quarter would be different for demand

15:09

strong bullish the consumer is still

15:12

cranking no material changes if anything

15:15

we're on the path to finally getting out

15:16

of a loss and being Break Even Gap break

15:19

even by the end of the year Lyft sees a

15:23

continuation of trend scene at the end

15:25

of 2023 with lower prices actually which

15:28

is somewhat deflationary which is great

15:30

in fact they actually say we don't say

15:32

this externally but we want to lower

15:34

prices we want there to be a better

15:36

balance between drivers and demand and

15:40

we continue to see strong demand while

15:42

Disney also saw higher spend per person

15:45

at places like Disneyland uh they did

15:48

see a uh uh and and they currently do

15:51

still see healthy demand I got to add a

15:53

y there uh they are seeing a moderation

15:56

from postco travel and they're seeing

15:59

higher cost inflation as well so little

16:03

bit of a mixed bag over at Disney they

16:05

did also miss on some of their

16:06

subscriber numbers yesterday wi has

16:09

noticed that demand has been relatively

16:11

healthy throughout April with the sphere

16:14

remember that big circle sphere they now

16:17

have in Vegas driving a lot of

16:19

visitation to Vegas and they repriced

16:22

their hotel rooms daily which I thought

16:24

was quite interesting to make sure they

16:26

could squeeze every last penny out of

16:28

any anybody visiting the Wind Resort but

16:31

then again probably most of the hotels

16:33

do that uh and uh the wi and Encore

16:36

being some of the more uh luxurious

16:39

options on the Strip uh then we've got

16:42

Gaza and Muslim immigration I'd like to

16:46

just be very very clear here in

16:49

yesterday's meet Kevin report uh we

16:51

talked about Muslim immigration and we

16:54

got a lot of commentary on how Muslim

16:57

immigration and for example than United

16:59

Kingdom is potentially deluding UK

17:03

values now I reported from a neutral

17:06

point of view I analyzed a city that was

17:08

trending on social media and noticed a

17:11

nominal change in really the makeup of

17:15

uh that District within Bradford of the

17:17

United Kingdom uh over the last 20 years

17:21

but commentary was very clearly on one

17:23

side of the discussion here many refer

17:26

to immigration expanding for Muslims

17:28

into the the United Kingdom not just in

17:30

the last 20 25 year period but really

17:33

from the 1950s 7s 80s all the way to

17:36

today which has led to a substantial

17:38

increase in the Muslim population in

17:39

parts of the United Kingdom and Europe

17:42

which many people are frustrated by this

17:44

is of course just an observation from

17:46

commentary it's just my goal to be here

17:49

and provide neutral perspective and when

17:52

popular opinion is on another side I'll

17:55

mention it that that's not going to

17:57

dictate what what the neutral uh

18:00

analysis is but from a neutral point of

18:03

view we can clearly say immigration is a

18:05

top priority for many voters and

18:07

ensuring their voices are heard is very

18:09

important but it makes sense because the

18:12

same frustration is the frustration that

18:13

you're seeing with Asylum uh grantees

18:16

like uh syrians in Germany uh Muslims in

18:20

the United Kingdom uh immigrants who

18:22

were coming through the uh Southern

18:24

Border in the United States maybe even

18:26

the northern border eh okay mostly the

18:28

southern border whether they're Chinese

18:30

immigrants or they're from Venezuela or

18:32

wherever they're from there is a lot of

18:34

frustration around the Border crisis and

18:37

it's about High Time countries start

18:40

listening to their

18:42

voters similarly I received multiple

18:45

messages yesterday suggesting that

18:47

Israel's deepening incursion into uh

18:50

quite frankly the Gaza Strip and the

18:52

Rafa Crossing which was supposed to be a

18:54

Biden red line which has now been

18:56

crossed is solely to quote go to the end

18:59

of the Earth to find the remaining

19:01

roughly 130 hostages still alive if my

19:05

family member were a hostage I'd

19:07

completely understand I hope the

19:09

situation ends rapidly so both the

19:11

hostages can be freed and death can end

19:15

in general war is Terror killings and

19:18

death are bad they're wrong no matter

19:22

what and it sucks it just sucks the

19:27

human Devastation that's happening in

19:29

Gaza is horrid I'm not pointing any

19:32

blame we're simply making a statement

19:35

that war and Devastation is terrible and

19:38

I wish it ends as soon as possible so do

19:42

Gins Gins were celebrating after hamas's

19:45

acceptance of the Israeli deal uh which

19:47

was announced uh just a couple about a

19:50

day and a half ago uh and then

19:51

unfortunately tanks rolled in as Israel

19:54

suggested the deal was different from

19:55

what Israel had proposed and now the

19:58

ceasefire is quite frankly unclear and

20:01

unresolved so unfortunately the crisis

20:04

for now in the Gaza Strip continues and

20:07

Egypt continues to build its shelters

20:11

now keep in mind I'm a big fan of

20:13

providing as much neutral perspective as

20:15

I can this is the second meet Kevin

20:18

report that we're doing I hope you enjoy

20:20

this style of reporting where we can

20:22
