Wars series and I am so glad you're

still with us I am praying that you are

finding this information helpful we are

praying for you praying for your family

we know that there are many of us who

you know just living in this Society we

struggle with the things that we've been

discussing everything from the

entertainment industry and its impact on

us as Christians to drugs and alcohol

and of course our topic tonight probably

the most sensitive of all of the topics

but we are going to go into it and ask

that the Holy Spirit lead us as we go

into it our scripture reading is taken

from Romans chapter 13.

Romans chapter 13 and starting at verse

1.

and that knowing the time

the now is high time

to awake out of sleep

for now is our Salvation nearer than

when we believed

the night is far spent the day is at

hand let us therefore cast off the works

of darkness

and let us put on the armor of light

let us walk honestly as in the day

not in rioting and drunkenness not in

clamp chambering and wantonness not in

strife and envying

but put you on the Lord Jesus Christ

and make not provision for the flesh

to fulfill the lusts thereof

our third and final installment in this

three-part series is entitled polluting

the mind

polluting the mind let's pray father God

we thank you for this opportunity now

study a word study these principles

I asked father God that you make me once

again just to nail upon the wall

a rusty sorry nail Lord and upon that

nail Lord I ask that you hang a portrait

of Jesus Christ

let me not be seen Lord instead let us

hear a word from the throne room of

Grace and let Christ be seen

and I pray in a special way Lord that

your Holy Spirit whenever someone hears

this message

would go out and fill them

the Angels would protect and defend them

and the devils and the demons would be

thrown out and Cast Away

help us now to hear these truths we pray

in Jesus name

amen all right we're going to go to the

Book of Revelation The Book of

Revelation

the second chapter Revelation chapter 2

verse 12

says this Revelation 2 12 and to the

angel of the church in pergamus right

these things say of he which hath the

sharp sword with two edges

I Know Thy works

and where thou dwellest even where

Satan's seat is

and thou hold as fast my name

and has not denied my faith

even in the those days where in Antipas

was my faithful martyr

who was slain among you

where Satan dwelleth

we talk about here the Church of

pergamus

John the Revelator is writing as Jesus

is speaking

it says that he has the sharp sword with

two edges

this is the word of God

and I want to say that when we deal with

issues we must lead with God's word and

as

pergamus is going to be discussed here

Christ points out

that he has the sword the with two sharp

edges

he says I know your Works he knows where

you dwell he says that pergamus is where

Satan's seat is

and that is not just a a geographical

description it is a spiritual one that

they were in a place

where Satan had great power some argue

that this might have been Satan's

headquarter in the world at the time I

don't know that I'd say that I will say

that he had a presence there

speaks to Antipas

who was martyred but remained faithful

Revelation 2

verse 14 but I have a few things against

thee here comes that sharp sword because

thou has there them that hold the

doctrine of Balaam

who taught balak to cast a stumbling

block before the children of Israel

to eat things sacrificed unto idols and

to commit fornication

so hast thou also them that hold the

doctrine of the Nicolaitans

which thing I hate I want you to get

this he describes that there is a uh a

doctrine of Balaam

we'll talk about Balaam a little bit

more from the Old Testament but Balaam

taught balak king of Midian how to put a

stumbling block in front of Israel then

and he says that this Doctrine

is being held by those in pergamas so

here they are they're they're holding

fast to the faith they're keeping his

name they're in a very high a place of

high spiritual warfare as this is

described as a place where Satan's seat

is

and here it seems that just as the

children of Israel as they're about to

enter the promised land were failed by a

sexual sin

it would seem as if this was the problem

they had that they were being taught to

eat the things sacrificed to idols

and to commit fornication

verse 16.

it gives

the message

that we each of us need to hear if we

are living in sin Revelation 2 and verse

16 repent

or else I will come unto thee quickly

and I will fight against them with the

sword of my mouth

he that has an heir let him hear what

the spirit says unto the churches to him

that overcomes will I give to eat of the

Hidden manner and we'll give him a white

stone and the stone a new name written

which no man knows

saving he that receives it

so just as the end of our last of our

first installment we talked about the

promises you get when you block your

ears from hearing blood and and shut

your eyes from seeing evil here there's

another reward if you will repent of the

sin that you're in

God will reward you if not he says I

want to come quickly and I'll fight

against you with the sword of my mouth

how because all of the consequences that

the word of God gives for living in sin

will come to pass

he'll give you the eat of the Hidden

matter

if you overcome but he will take a white

stone and write your name in it name

represents character

stone represents a permanence that he

will give you a new name forever that no

one will know but you a new character a

new experience that's why no one else

can know it

so pergamum

uh the Church of Parkinson's pergamum

was at the Northern end of Asia Minor

one of the reasons this might have been

Satan's seat is it would have been an

amazing place for trade and people

wanting to go to Ephesus in Philadelphia

and laodicea would have had to pass

through there to get to those other

cities

so it was a place of trade or a place of

lots of ideas the church was there the

church was growing the church was

getting strong but this but but one of

the things that John the Revelator

writes is that this was the place where

the great altar of Satan was that where

Satan's seat was

and this was an amazing structure that

was built on three sides it was where

they worshiped Zeus and this is why I

believe they say this is where Satan's

seed is because Zeus was the head of

this Pagan God system that the Romans

had and at the and at the top of it was

Zoo so his seat was here this massive

structure that was built with many steps

going up and and what they would do

remember Zeus is often represented as an

eagle and sometimes as a bull

and when they would kill people uh the

the what we're told is that they would

take them and there was a bull that they

would sacrifice humans in and burned

them and they would scream and as they

screamed and the smoke came out it would

seem as if the bull was alive and

speaking

some say this is how Antipas would have

been put to death how he would have been

martyred

Revelation chapter 2

and verse 14. I'm gonna read that one

again

Jesus says to this church

but I have a few things against you

because you have there them that hold

the doctrine of Balaam

taught Baylor to cast a stumbling block

before the children of Israel to eat

things offered sacrificed unto idols

and to commit fornication

let's go back to Numbers chapter 22 and

find out a little bit more about this

doctrine of Balaam and what he did with

balak and how it impacted the children

of Israel and why this is important to

mind Wars today especially since we are

in the last days

Numbers 22 and verse 1 says in the

children of Israel set forward

and pitched in the plains of Moab on the

side of Jordan by Jericho

and balak the son of zippor saw all that

Israel had done to the amorites

and Moab was so afraid of the people

because they they were many and Moab was

distressed because of the children of

Israel so so uh balak is afraid he knows

what has already happened to some of the

other people like the Egyptians like the

amorites and he thinks and he's rightly

Assuming he's next

so he's he's worried his people are

worried isn't it interesting oftentimes

the people of God are afraid of their

enemies and you don't realize if you

stand strong in God your enemies will

often be afraid of you

he's so afraid that in Numbers Chapter

23 as the story develops he he calls the

false prophet um

Balaam and you remember the story about

Balaam on the donkey and a donkey

speaking to him and all that stuff

Balaam and Balaam is not supposed to go

do what he's about to do but he goes and

he meets with balak anyway

I don't have time to get into the whole

story it's a fascinating Story

three times at least balik

appeals to Balaam offering him all kinds

of goods and goodies in order to do what

he wants against Israel but as he offers

it to him he he has to reject it every

time and I want to focus on this one

Numbers Chapter 23 and verse 20.

he uh Balaam says behold I have received

commandment to bless

and he hath blessed

and I cannot reverse it because he

wanted him to curse Israel verse 21 he

hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob

neither have he seen perverseness in

Israel the Lord is God his God is with

him and the shout of a king is among

them

Balaam says listen I cannot curse him

I've talked to God about there's nothing

I can do he's a false prophet but he

somehow still connected with God in a

sense to know he couldn't do anything he

says God has blessed them and I cannot

reverse that blessing you're in trouble

balak

and why can I not reverse it look at how

Israel is described after the 40-year

wandering after all they had learned

from God After experiencing the

sanctuary uh day in and day out and

yearly for the atonement they had

learned great spiritual lessons that

many of the murmurers that wanted to go

back to Egypt by now were dead and gone

and a new generation who trusted in God

who had been re-educated in the things

of God were there and so now as they're

about to enter the Promised Land

actually this is before the 40 years so

but they've trusted in God because of

what they went through

crossing the Red Sea he says in verse 21

he hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob

neither have he seen perverseness in

Israel there was no people living a

sinful life that's iniquity there was no

perverseness in Israel there were no

perverts in Israel they were living as

God would have them live

he says God's with them and the shout of

a king is among them that was a

Messianic plug that eventually they

would have a great king and Jesus would

fulfill that prophecy

but just

two chapters later

Everything Changes

Numbers Chapter 25.

verse 1 it says in Israel Abode and

him and the people began to commit

whoredom with the daughters of Moab

they called the people unto the

sacrifices of their gods

and the people did eat and bowed down to

their gods

and Israel joined himself unto Baal peor

and the anger of the Lord was kindled

against Israel here they had God's favor

first that's what we just read in

Numbers Chapter 23.

they were living right

they were serving God

but when just two verses later two

chapters later

they are uh they began to commit

whoredom with the daughters of Moab

because we're going to find out what it

is

the balak told was told by Balaam to do

they called the people unto the

sacrifices of their gods

the people eat ate and bowed down to

their gods and Israel was joined unto

Baal peor and God's anger was kindled

against Israel

numbers 31 verse 16 says this

look these women cause the children of

Israel through the Council of Balaam to

trespass against the Lord in the

incident of pior and there was a plague

among the congregation of the Lord so it

gives you this is what was bala's advice

huh through the Council of Balaam what's

this balaam's Doctrine it was to send in

women it was to seduce the men of Israel

and that's how the incident of pior

happened when it became attached to Baal

peor

and God hit them with a plague because

of that

that's numbers 31 and verse 16.

look at Hosea chapter 9

and verse 10.

says I found Israel like grapes in the

wilderness

I saw your fathers as the first fruits

on the Fig Tree in its first season

but they went to bail peor

and separated themselves to the shame to

that shame

they became an Abomination like the

thing they loved did you get that they

became an Abomination like the thing

they loved now I messed it up earlier

when I said that the 40 years have

passed this was before the 40 years in

the wilderness they had crossed the red

the Red Sea they had seen pharaoh and

his armies go down it seen that all ten

of the plagues

and they were on the border of the

promised land border of Canaan they

didn't have to go through the 40 years

that's why that's very relevant they

were there they were ready to go in in

fact Hosea said I found Israel like

grapes in the wilderness

I saw your fathers of the first fruits

of the Fig Tree in its season

in its first season you were special

like wild grapes in a wilderness

wild grapes are special you know

Wilderness and you find wild grapes you

found food

wholesome healthy food

like the first figs of a first time a

tree puts forth figs

but they went to bail peor and separated

themselves to that shame

they became an abomination

the New Testament references this as

well

First Corinthians chapter 10 and verse

8.

it says neither let us commit

fornication

as some of them committed and fell in

one day three and twenty thousand now

the Old Testament says 24 000 this is 23

000 at least twenty three thousand had

to have died and neither let us commit

fornication as some of them committed

Paul and warning the church at Corinth

says listen do not get caught up in

sexual sin

sexual sin comes with a cost a plague

follows it

so the questions we're going to talk

about here as we talk about this in this

third installment of Mine Wars

how did Satan get so many to fall before

reaching the Promised Land

they were right on the border before

they did the 40 years how did he get so

many to fall before reaching the

Promised Land

and the question then is Satan using the

same tactics today

on the last day Remnant Church

let's go back to the Book of Genesis and

we're going to talk about really sexual

sin talk about God's ideal and then

we're going to move from there Genesis

chapter 2 and verse 21 says this

and the Lord God caused the Deep Sleep

to fall upon Adam

and he slept and he took one of his ribs

and closed up the flesh instead thereof

and the rib was the Lord God had taken

from man made he a woman

and brought her unto the man

and Adam said this is now bone of my

bones and Flesh of My Flesh and she

shall be called woman because she was

taken out of man

therefore shall a man leave his father

and his mother and shall cleave unto his

wife and they shall be

one flesh

and they were both naked the man and his

wife

and were not ashamed oftentimes when we

think about sex and intimacy we uh

there's a taboo we don't want to talk

about it and our children often suffer

because we don't talk about it and it's

not easy to talk about

but understand that God is the one who

created intimacy marriage between a man

and a woman that and it says in verse 25

that they were both naked but they

weren't ashamed there was a purity to

their existence

and the other part of this I want to

highlight so that you understand it as

we get into the science of this

is that the Bible says that a man should

leave his father and his mother and

cleave to his wife and that they should

become one flesh meaning that there's

something that happens when a man and a

woman are married and and consummate

that marriage

in the physical act of sex that actually

binds them together as one

Ephesians 5 31-32 basically says the

same thing and shows you just how

sacredly God views this

for this cause shall a man leave his

father and mother

and shall be joined unto his wife

and they shall become they shall be one

flesh

look at verse 32 this is a great mystery

but I speak concerning Christ

and the church

this model given to us

of a man and a woman coming together to

be married

they're supposed to come together in

innocence two white sheets never having

been with anyone else we're talking

about first time early life marriage

coming together as white sheets they

come together and they become one flesh

bonded to one another

it says it's a mystery

because he's speaking of Christ in the

church we ought to be bonded with Christ

as his church and become one flesh

Matthew 19 and verse 4 says it like this

and he answered and said unto them

have you not read that he which made

them at the beginning made them male and

female

and said for this call shall a man leave

father and mother and shall cleave to

his wife and they Twain those two shall

be one flesh

wherefore they are no more Twain but one

flesh what therefore God has joined

together let not man put asunder

what speaks to the bond

permanence of the bond and a problem

many marriages have many relationships

but a lot of marriages have is that we

in our society people come into marriage

having been with so many different

people before

and instead of coming in as two white

sheets and bonding into one

they come in like tapestry or collages

bits and pieces of all the people

they've ever been with

now they want to have a union

but it's difficult

because the remnants and the shadows of

all those people are still there

the devil wants your mind that's what

we're talking about

one of the ways to get your mind is to

have you mix with all these different

people so that bits and pieces of them

bits and pieces of their character bits

and pieces of their defects rub off on

you

the psychologist will tell you that

being around someone you begin to take

on some of their attributes how much

more in intimacy those parts and pieces

of the other person rub off on you

well what science does

um I want to show you

this infographic they say well what

comes first

they say

is lust

so they show sex hormones and then they

say you know um that through the sex

hormones you get lust and because you

have desire for this other person sexual

desire for this other person you're you

you are drawn to the person then they

talk about love being stressed so now

you start to like the person you get

stressed you get this Rush butterflies

in your stomach because there are the

neurotransmitters that we talked about

in the last installment are also in the

brain dopamine in the stomach in the gut

right so you get the butterflies in your

stomach um from the serotonin and

adrenaline rush so you get stressed

about this thing and you get an energy a

charge out of it

primitive brain begins to function

that's what the scientists say

and of course in the second phage you

get to what they call attraction

so dopamine as we talked about uh in the

last episode dopamine

um is the pleasure of producing uh

neurotransmitter serotonin is the one

that says I feel satisfied adrenaline is

one that gives that much energy goes

back to the stress piece so that they

say first is is lust and passion second

is attraction and third the world and

the scientists say is the attachment and

here they talk about

um the in the brain and oxytocin this

this chemical that if if adrenaline is

the fight or flight

um oxytocin is the one that is more like

the hug and nurture

so they say it goes that way let me show

it to you again right because they say

listen first they say is lust

um and and so they say is testosterone

and estrogen and lust happens and then

the second one

um where they show you know they often

put up like a a magnet they say

attraction

right and dopamine norepinephrine and

serotonin an attachment comes from the

neurotransmitters like oxytocin and

vasopressin

and what I want to submit to you is that

when you look at that the world has the

order

wrong

the first thing that's supposed to

happen is not lust

and the way that they describe

attachment is wrong there can be some

attraction but it should not be a

dopamine-based attraction it should be

based on principle

and from that

you get attachment you begin to spend

time with a person get to know them not

physically but spiritually emotionally

and after that you get married and now

you can move into the phase where you

can have the lust component now and I

know it gets blurred I get it

but the world wants you to believe that

the first thing that comes is lust

that's why the world is in so much

trouble

because what God wants is for the two to

become one flesh how does that happen

that happens in attachment

all right so

one of the things the science says is

that you remember the the and which and

that graphic is showing nicely lust

attraction attachment it's really

supposed to be a lust happens in

marriage in the sense that that's when

you act on those sex hormones

but we have it backwards in our society

to do things the way we do now one of

the things that happens so when you go

through this process and you think your

head over heels in love

the actual parts of your brain

that we talked about the frontal lobe

especially but I'll show you here the

parts of the brain that you need to make

good decisions and to feel right about

the decision are shut off

so the areas of the brain that are

Switched Off by love and there are areas

that are shut off one is the amygdala it

controls fear another the mid-temporal

cortex it controls negative emotions the

frontal lobe controls judgment

so it's shut off now how are you gonna

make a good judgment about who to marry

or who to be with if you turned it off

because your emotions are running so

high and of course even the posterior

cingulate is turned off and that

controls empathy so even your ability to

to look for them the frontal cortex

which is vital to judgment shuts down

when we fall in love

MRI scans show this deactivation occurs

only when someone has shown a photo of

the person they adore causing them to

suspend all critic criticism or doubt

one professor at the University of

College in London says when you look at

someone you are passionate about some

areas of the brain become active he says

but a large part is deactivated

the partner plays a role

in judgment

so if the devil wants your mind we

talked about entertainment we talked

about drugs alcohol the other way he can

get it is through love and lust

he can turn off the frontal lobe why is

that important because that's where the

Seal of the Living God goes and there

are people that's why the Bible says one

of the reasons it says do not be

unequally yoked together with an

unbeliever that's why we say you

shouldn't marry someone who doesn't

believe like you believe because the

devil can get you in love turn off your

frontal lobe

and now you'll slip away and that's why

the majority of the time

Christian marry someone who does not

believe as they believe

they wind up drifting in that direction

here's what Ellen White says on this

letters to young lovers page 36.

love is a sentiment so sacred that but

few know what it is

the Warm Glow of impulse the fascination

of one young person for another is not

love

it does not deserve the name

true love has an intellectual basis a

deep thorough knowledge of the object

loved did you get it

we listen in this day and age of of of

of

Tinder and and all of the different

hookup sites and all this kind of stuff

people swiping right and sending people

messages in their DM

we have a superficial understanding of

people

that folk going out on dates with people

who are literally psychotic and crazy

and they'll say I'm in love with this

person

but true love has an intellectual basis

you love someone based on what you know

about them and you can't just know them

because you find them physically

attractive

they can dupe you they can fool you

the devil can gain control of your mind

by tugging at your heart

she goes on she says

rather than that remember

that impulsive love is perfectly blind

it will soon be placed on unworthy

objects as Worthy

command such love to stand still and

cool

let me tell you something many of us and

if you talk to a lot of us in the church

adults talk to a lot of them and young

people they will give you the stories of

how when they were younger they followed

the wrong course because their reasoning

was shut off

and they got into relationships with

people they should never have gotten

into

I remember one one um one instance when

I was when I was younger I initially

started off as a youth pastor

um and I remember

um one young lady was so infatuated with

this young man

and she finally got with this young man

and I wondered you know I'd be careful

he looks a little bit rough around the

edges there I'm not sure he's a good guy

didn't want to hear me reasoning shut

off

she went about a way disappeared from

church two or three years later we see

her she has a child I said what how you

know what happened where have you been

how you been

she said you were right pastor

he was a terrible man she said I don't

know what I ever saw in him

and the answer is you didn't see him

you saw what you wanted to see

you had a fairy tale idea in your mind

and you made him fit the mold and what a

lot of women do is they begin to say I

can fix him

I love him so much I can make him better

and so you get the Savior complex and

get it too

you get into serious trouble in

relationships

remember that impulsive love is

perfectly blind and you have people just

hooking up on the streets now just not

even knowing people and just getting

together and pieces of them being left

with pieces of the other person

there's one study says this this is um

article a title it says the brain looks

the same when we are in love or high on

cocaine we talked about cocaine in the

last episode I want you again we talk

about sugar makes the brain look like

Cocaine Love makes the brain look like

cocaine like you're high on cocaine

because the parts of the brain you need

to make wise decision Isaiah 1 18 come

let us reason together

when the Bible says to be sober and

Vigilant if you if you think you're in

love

that part of your brain is turned off

and you will make foolish decisions

here it is again an article by Lucy

Brown based on her research it says Love

is Blind the phrase Love is Blind is

quite appropriate during romantic love

this is a secular scientist elevated

passion can actually deactivate the

neural pathway involved in negative

emotions such as fear and social

judgment it also May flick off the

switch and brain areas responsible for

critical thinking

self-awareness and rational decision

making including parts of the prefrontal

cortex the frontal lobe where the Seal

of God goes this neutralizing can make

us act a little crazy when in the throes

of a new romance

new being a key word there a new romance

because after a while the novelty wears

off remember that stress response I

talked about that goes away and so you

initially you're all attracted to the

person you're all into the person the

adrenaline's all high you get the

butterflies or something after a while

all of that goes

and now you're left with the ability to

think again

and you roll over in the bed wake up and

look and you are attached

legally permanently to someone who never

deserved your affections

the mri's show

parts of the brain that get turned off

researchers like Lucy Brown Put people

who are madly in love into an MRI

and ask them to think about their

beloved subjects tend to show activity

in the ventral Tech mental area where

the left arrow is associated with

Euphoria and addiction so they get the

high from it the subject also has

activity in the prefrontal cortex

associated with thinking and reward but

overall what Brown says is

um the brain is turned down she found

out when people were madly in love think

of their sweethearts many parts of the

brain are activated but one thing all

her study subjects had in common was

activation in A Primitive part of the

brain just above the brain stem it is

the lower brain that gets kicked in

people who just who have just gotten a

shot of cocaine show activation in this

exact same region this passion is part

of one of our deepest most important

reward systems

and that's why she says feeling like

you're in love can be addictive and so

there are a lot of people argue you

can't be addicted to sex you can't be

listen you can be addicted to being in

love and that's why people like to break

up find someone new breakup find someone

new because they want that thrill that

comes with every new relationship and

when you add in I haven't even gotten to

the point where you add in physical

intimacy sexual relations when you add

that in and what it does to the brain

your brain becomes mush

we make foolish decisions

because what happens when you start to

have sex with that person that you're

not thinking straight about

is that other parts of the brain jump in

she believes this Dr Brown she believes

that the romantic love

is even more a stronger Drive than even

strikes than even sexes

but she says

that prolactin oxytocin and vasopressin

all of these prolactin is you know

thinking a lot of times we think of

these as women hormones but in men when

men are intimate and they release these

hormones are are released in them

and they come along with melatonin

and so what happens is as this is

released and as you're looking in the

face of the person you're with

these hormones are really oxytocin is a

binding nurturing hormone it binds

people together so oxytocin is released

and you're bound to that individual this

is why the scripture says you the two

become one flesh literally

neuroanatomically

neurophysiologically the two become one

because your mind is now stamped with

that person's pheromones their scent

their look their mannerism every time

you like that so when you're married the

way God says and that's the first person

you're ever with you bind to them

chemically

makes it more so much in fact if you

talk to people who are married 100 years

ago when when people got married as

virgins they'll tell you that they don't

they didn't even have sexual attraction

to anyone but their spouse because

that's the only person that ever have

any such experiences with

but now you've had oxytocin vasopressin

prolactin dopamine All released with all

the different lovers you've had

your mind now is attached to all kinds

of things in people

and if you're not careful now you can

become addicted to that so even later on

you've given your life to Christ you're

supposedly happily married but the

temptation to cheat is so great because

of all the mess you used to do

Romans 13 verse 11 says it like this

and that knowing the time this is our

scripture and at that knowing the time

that now it is high time to awake out of

sleep

for now is our Salvation nearer than

when we believed

hand let us therefore cast off the works

of light let us walk honestly as in the

not in chambering and wantonness not in

strife and envying look at verse 14 but

put you on the Lord Jesus Christ

instead of putting on

all of the pieces of the people you've

been with you better put on Jesus

you better put him on

you better look to Christ if you're

someone who's lived this kind of Life

you've got to be diligent and steadfast

in seeking him and knowing him

because if not you make provision for

the flesh

fill the lusts thereof and your flesh is

weak let me show you how much the flesh

has changed the great graph

um of the the lowering age of menarchy

in different developed countries uh

since the 1800s up until about 1990 and

it it it persists still

women that used to start have have going

to monarchy that's when they started

having their periods uh much later in

their teenage years and you can see

looking back it goes as high as uh over

17 years old well in those times you go

back 100 years ago they would get

married young probably in their late

teens so there would be a very short

period between when their hormones would

give them much of their sex drive and

when they were married to have sex so in

a sense a physiologically things lined

up but over time and we don't know why

this is completely but we do know that

one of it is attached to body fat

because body fat relieves releases

leptin and the release of leptin

triggers the brain to trigger puberty so

we're seeing puberty start earlier and

earlier and earlier and earlier in girls

and we now know that the average age of

of of of of menarchy in America is 12

and for African-American girls and some

other groups it's like nine years of age

so here's the challenge now your body is

in a place where it can reproduce and

what sense it can reproduce you get the

desire to reproduce which from a

physiological stamp it means you get

some sexual urges

but now you're being told not to get

married until you're 24 25 26 years old

when you finish school

and you can see that the flesh isn't a

disadvantage and I believe the same kind

of thing is happening with boys because

their starting period uh starting a

puberty earlier as well

and so these things are coming together

to work to make it more difficult for

young people this is why it is even more

important that you're careful what you

listen to remember we talked about we

talked about media and how when you

watch and listen to these things I'll

probably quote some of it again

it influences them to be sexually active

more carelessly and earlier

and what is the consequence of all of

this

well

sexually transmitted disease cases hit

record high for the fifth year in a row

this is one of the things that is

happening and you can see here 28 was

record high for chlamydia gonorrhea and

syphilis this has continued since 2018

some argue that the pandemic ultimately

will make this even worse

we are at a point in a in medicine and

as a physician where we have had to

double the recommended dose of Rocephin

an antibiotic that treats gonorrhea

because there is so much drug resistant

gonorrhea now and you can see that it's

chlamydia gonorrhea and even syphilis is

on the rise

the way that we have addressed sex in

this country if even though no one wants

to believe that the Bible is right

the statistics tell us

chlamydia gonorrhea and syphilis are on

the rise

but not just that

um this dad is a few years old but

genital herpes infection

it's common in the United States

and the Centers for Disease Control

tells us that annually 776

000 people in the United States get new

cases of genital herpes infections

and as many as 24 000 women

will become infertile because of it

because of a sexually transmitted

diseases

we have to to try and prevent pregnancy

I know if there are people who are going

to decide to do this thing there are

ways to do it so that you protect their

lives life in them not against that

but we have to understand as Christians

that we have a higher calling

because Hollywood itself has been

pushing this and if you look at the

rom-com world

um the movie posters for movies like The

Proposal and um

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Failure

to Launch I was reading an article about

these movies uh and the rom-com industry

and what they were saying is that in

these movies it always like 99 of time

it ends before anybody gets married or

as they get married none of them show

you love and happiness after marriage

it's all about the chase

the excitement that adrenaline that

stress side making you want to be a part

of Chase and not a part of the long-term

product the True Romance would produce

um and so the movies we talked about the

media in the first installment here's

here's some more facts from the media

movies have an 87 likelihood of

presenting sexual material

the average American adolescent will

view nearly 14 000 sexual references

every year

64 of all shows include sexual content

and only about 15 percent mentioned

waiting protection or any form of

consequences

this is a study from the association for

psychological science I'll just I'll

just show you and read you the the title

of the study it says exposure to sexual

content

in popular movies predicts sexual

behavior in adolescence

this is something we mentioned when we

were talking about the media but this is

shown

and so across all age groups I'll show

you a graph from one of these studies

across all age groups teens who saw the

most sex on television

were twice as likely to initiate

intercourse within the next year as were

those who saw the least and if you look

at this and so this is not those who saw

none this is just those who saw the

least versus those who saw the most and

you can see there's a significant

difference

he knows what he's doing the enemy and

he's after the minds and hearts of our

children because if he can get you in

your teenage years to make some of these

mistakes they can alter your life but it

can also give you defects and weaknesses

and character that cause you to be prone

to these sins for the rest of your life

nation of Israel

sexual sin did that

by Pleasure seeking mirth feasting or

the wine cup he tempts to the violation

of the seventh commandment

sensual Indulgence weakens the mind and

debases the soul

the immoral and intellectual the moral

the moral and intellectual powers are be

numbed and Paralyzed by the

gratification of the animal propensities

and it is impossible for the slave of

passion

to realize the sacred obligation of the

law of God Mercy to appreciate the

atonement or to place a right value upon

the soul

ah she says something profound here

if you become a slave to Passion this is

the pornography we talked about earlier

in the series

this is if you if you um to sexual

relationships sleeping around

whatever the thing is that that binds

you up she says this once you're a slave

to Passion you can't realize you won't

realize the sacred obligation of the law

you won't appreciate the atonement

and you won't place a right value on the

soul in other words your own you won't

understand how much you're worth if you

don't understand the atonement you can't

understand how much you're worth because

Jesus Paid It All You are Priceless and

that's why you don't just sell yourself

give yourself away to any and everybody

that's why you follow God's plan because

you've been bought with a price you're

no longer your own your body doesn't

and when you bind the body in sexual sin

as we have shown you bind the mind

and all of a sudden your ability to see

powers of the frontal lobe active you

lose the war for your mind

with our young people

but we're not enough to just talk about

God we've got to empower them to to be

able to do what God requires

engaging our young people in meaningful

dialogue not just don't do this but

meaningful dialogue telling them that

God created sex and if you do it the way

God plans you will actually be happier

than the people in the world you can see

their their their their unhappiness look

at how they go from one person to the

other

addicted to all the substances follow

God's plan

but we've got to show our young people a

better way and we as adults some of us

we still got struggles we've got to

overcome we've got to turn to Christ for

it

Passions

Satan is determined to destroy with his

Temptations

to pollute their souls with

licentiousness

last part of our three-part series is

entitled

polluting the mind

because Satan wants to pollute your mind

he wants to dirty your mind God wants

you to have a pure mind he wants Purity

for you

Satan wants to pollute that

and it is critical young people

that you don't dirty up that mind don't

dirty a mind

leave it clean as God as you actually

have a more enjoyable life on this Earth

and of course in the life eternal if you

follow God's plan and

we are again

at the Promised Land

once again we are at the promised land

Jesus is soon to come in the Clouds Of

Glory

and all that has happened on this Earth

will soon be over

don't let sexual sin keep you out of the

Promised Land

of the Heavenly Canaan

like sexual sin caused so many to not

make it into

the promised land of the Earthly Canaan

God requires moral perfection in all

may be like him by partaking of the

divine nature

who have doubt that they can live this

life that God has called them to or that

God would forgive them for their past

sins let me tell you something I know

when you look back on your life

you see all the mess you did you see all

the dirt you did

constantly remind you of how long

you are in mess how far from God you

went I know that's what Satan wants to

do to you but I am Telling You Church

follow God first Corinthians chapter 6.

and verse 9.

know ye not that the unrighteous shall

not inherit the kingdom of God

be not deceived neither fornicators nor

idolaters nor adulterers nor effeminate

nor abusers of themselves of mankind

nor verse 10 nor thieves nor covetous

not drunkards nor revilers

nor extortioners

shall inherit the kingdom of God let me

tell you something if you're like me

as that verse is read those two verse I

read you start to think Lord how in the

world will I be saved

if all of these people will not inherit

the kingdom of God lord I have failed

you

just like these descriptions say

but there's another verse Church

one of the most important verses Paul

writes First Corinthians chapter 6 and

verse 11 says it like this

and such were some of you

but you are washed

but you are Sanctified but you are

justified in the name of the Lord Jesus

and by the spirit of our god did you get

it

you don't have to be who you were Paul

says such were some of

some of some of you are fornicators some

of you are drunkards some of you are

revilers thieves Covetous extortioners

some of you were in sin you lived in sin

you're loved in sin

well Paul says that's not the way you

have to stay

such were some of you

Church you if you claim Christ Jesus

claim his blood be filled with the Holy

Spirit you can say like Paul says you

are washed

you're sanctified

you are Justified

in the name of the Lord Jesus

and by the spirit of our God
