Welcome to Baltimore County Public Library's Cornhole game set up.

0:05

Remove the contents from the bag. There should be two game boards,

0:09

eight game board pegs, and eight beanbags. You should have four of each color.

0:14

You will see the game boards are collapsible.

0:17

Open them up and stretch them out so they resemble a rectangle.

0:20

Attach the rings with the Velcro so that the game board creates a wedge shape.

0:25

To fold up the game board, undo the Velcro on the rings.

0:28

Then hold the game board with the base against your body.

0:31

Pull the sides towards you and rotate your hands and twist inward to fold the

0:35

board back into a circle shape. Place the game boards back in the bag.

0:41

The court should be a level, rectangular area, eight to 10 feet wide,

0:45

and a minimum of 40 to 45 feet long. For an adult game,

0:49

place the game boards 27 feet apart.

0:51

For a junior game place the game boards 12 to 15 feet apart.

0:55

You can play cornhole in one of two ways, one on one or two against two.

1:01

Both players stay in their designated lane for the whole game.

1:04

The pitcher must be within the pitcher's box or behind the foul line at the time

1:08

of release. Players must pitch the bag with an underhand release.

1:12

Players start the game at the headboard and will alternate pitching bags until

1:15

each player has pitched all four of his or her bags.

1:19

The approved method of scoring for the sport of cornhole is cancellation

1:22

scoring. In cancellation scoring,

1:25

the points of one player cancel out the points of their opponent.

1:28

Using this method, only one player or team can score in each round.

1:32

Bag in the Count or a Woody.

1:35

Any bag which comes to rest anywhere on top of the board,

1:38

each is worth one point. Bag in the Hole or Cornhole.

1:42

Any bag which is thrown through the hole or knocked through the hole by another

1:45

bag, each is worth three points. Foul bags.

1:49

Any bag that contacted the court before coming to rest on the board is a foul.

1:53

The game is won when a player or a team reaches 21 points with a lead of two or

1:58

more points.
