Sink Bridge For Waterstone
FULL TRANSCRIPT
Today we will build a sink bridge for Waterstone Sharpening system
We started by sketching an initial design and decided to build it from single fence plank
We cut the top and bottom base boards
Cleaned up the sides and made support pices
We do the initial setup before gluing it up
We set up the fence to cut the middle slot for the tension screw using scrap wood
Setup looks good, we can proceed with actual cut
Notice that we drilled holes to mark the slot ends, to prevent the wood from splitting
No Idea why I switched the support block.
We finish the slot with chisel. I love sharp tools
Time to finish up the project with final processing
I love working with sharp hand plane
Time to glue it up
Make sure everything is square
Final assembly test before finishing
And finishing takes just a second :)
Here is how I use it with various Waterstons, over the sink
