0:00

hey everyone me kevin here in this video

0:01

i'm going to break down my thoughts and

0:02

strategies for exactly what i'm doing in

0:04

this market because this morning we had

0:06

one heck of a crazy day

0:08

i woke up and the stock market was

0:10

really really red

0:11

now ordinarily that would be really

0:13

scary people open up their portfolio and

0:15

they feel a sinking feeling like they

0:16

just made a big mistake

0:17

and then they look at the market and

0:19

literally like almost everything was

0:20

read this morning

0:22

the market open was really really rough

0:24

everything looked red everything looked

0:25

like a disaster and bloody

0:27

and i want you to ask yourself what do

0:29

you think my reaction was this morning

0:31

when i woke up

0:32

and i saw the market really really red

0:35

well

0:36

if you said anything that would resemble

0:38

this picture right here you are correct

0:41

i was very very happy this morning

0:43

because i get

0:44

opportunities to do my

0:47

favorite thing and that's by the dip now

0:50

there are two ways you can buy this

0:52

dip and what i'm going to do is i'm

0:54

going to give you a brief overview of

0:55

this strategy

0:56

because going into the weeds of exactly

0:59

the technicals as to how this works

1:02

are very very complicated and i just

1:04

want to give a simple overview here

1:06

because i've got a whole course

1:08

dedicated to teaching you the weeds

1:10

and this isn't about teaching you the

1:12

weeds it's about giving you the overview

1:13

of my strategy and my belief of the

1:15

market

1:16

that's the point of this video so if you

1:17

want to know what i think is happening

1:18

in the market

1:19

and how i'm playing it this is the video

1:20

for you if you want to understand

1:22

exactly the details for how this works

1:24

if you have questions on this

1:25

you want to be a part of this uh with me

1:28

in my private live streams or

1:29

in the private stock group now check out

1:31

the link down below it's 40

1:33

off use the coupon code it does expire

1:35

on july 22nd

1:36

yeah i extended the expiration of that

1:38

but the price will be going up

1:40

and it will not get extended again so on

1:42

july 22nd

1:43

the pricing will go up okay so check

1:46

that out link down below you get

1:47

lifetime access so

1:48

if you said smiley face that's the

1:50

correct thing what i like doing

1:52

is i like buying the dip now there are

1:54

two ways

1:55

that you can buy the dip and this is

1:57

very important because usually when we

1:58

think of buy the dip

1:59

we just think of the number one way buy

2:02

shares

2:03

but there's actually another way that

2:04

you can buy the dip and the other way

2:06

you can buy the dip

2:08

is by doing something known as making a

2:11

promise to buy shares so i'm going to

2:14

write down your

2:15

promise to buy shares

2:19

and both of these are ways you can buy

2:21

the dip

2:22

now the cool thing about making a

2:23

promise to buy shares if you're telling

2:25

somebody hey i promise to buy some

2:26

shares

2:27

at some point in the future at a certain

2:28

price the cool thing about that

2:30

is you deserve to be compensated for

2:33

making that promise

2:34

you deserve a credit for making that

2:36

promise

2:38

and what i like to do is i like to say

2:40

that

2:41

s p stands for selling

2:44

a promise or

2:47

selling a put

2:51

contract now i know i got cut off a

2:54

little bit there there we go

2:56

now yeah i'm not going to go into the

2:58

exact weeds of selling put contracts

3:00

about how the theta decay on selling

3:02

puts

3:02

is benefiting me and hedging my theta

3:05

decay on my call options

3:06

if you want the weeds on that i'm

3:08

posting a new lecture on exactly

3:11

all of the trades that i made this

3:12

morning to break down which you already

3:14

know what my trades are if you're in my

3:15

stocks and psychology money group but

3:16

i'm going to be posting a lecture

3:18

breaking down exactly the weeds of how

3:20

this strategy works

3:21

and that'll be posted today so right now

3:24

i want to give everybody watching on

3:26

youtube a broad overview

3:27

of why i'm buying the dip with contracts

3:30

first things first why would i not just

3:33

buy

3:33

shares well i'm not buying shares right

3:36

now because i personally believe

3:38

things are pricey end phase at 181

3:42

dollars

3:43

is okay but i think it's a little pricey

3:46

cciv at 25 is okay

3:50

it's a little pricey now look most of my

3:53

cciv shares i bought at 17

3:55

when uh the announcement the of of uh

3:58

lucid's cciv

4:00

spac was first announced cci v there we

4:03

go

4:03

i bought most of them around 17 to 1780

4:06

uh in in ccav i did buy a little bit at

4:09

30

4:10

but i thought that was a little bit

4:11

expensive between 30 and 35 i did buy a

4:13

little bit i thought that was a little

4:14

expensive

4:15

i actually think right now based on all

4:17

of what we've seen in the market

4:18

and how difficult it is for tesla to

4:20

ramp their production and they have the

4:22

experience to do it

4:23

i actually think 25 is a little bit on

4:25

the pricey side for cciv

4:27

i also think sofi has the potential of

4:30

going down to 1450 to 15 and then it's a

4:32

good deal

4:33

so i think i think it's like 1666 right

4:36

now but i think like for example 1750 i

4:38

think it's

4:38

it's a little pricey for right now and

4:40

i'm going to show you why i'm picking

4:41

1750.

4:43

i think for example peloton or

4:46

lemonade or apple or amazon or whatever

4:49

i think the shares where they stand

4:51

right now are a little bit pricey

4:53

and i don't like overpaying for things i

4:55

like getting good deals on things

4:57

so let me use an example here of sofi

4:59

quickly

5:00

so i wrote 1750 for sofi even though

5:03

right now these shares are selling for

5:05

about 1666

5:07

why would i do that well that's because

5:09

i gave someone a promise that i would

5:11

buy

5:11

shares of sofi in january 2023

5:16

when hopefully so far is a much more

5:18

mature company right in 1770

5:20

1750 is cheap i am making somebody a

5:24

promise to buy those shares in 2023 for

5:26

17.50

5:27

it's a little bit more than they're

5:28

worth right now and in making that

5:30

promise i'm actually going to get a fat

5:33

credit i'm going to get a credit of

5:37

dollars and 45 cents or that's what i

5:39

did get so i don't know it depends on

5:40

when you look at the market

5:41

the cool thing about that is that

5:43

actually means i'm willing to

5:45

buy sofi shares at ten dollars and five

5:47

cents

5:48

because i'm getting a big fat credit to

5:50

do that so by making this promise i'm

5:52

getting a big credit

5:54

now there are a few ways this can go if

5:56

sofi doubles

5:57

and goes to let's say 35 dollars in the

6:00

future

6:01

okay well then what happened what

6:03

happened is i lost

6:05

the opportunity to have my money go up

6:07

to 35

6:09

and i kept seven dollars and 45 cents

6:11

okay well that's not bad

6:13

got seven dollars and 45 cents but hey

6:15

could i had a double

6:16

you know i got maybe 40 instead of a

6:18

double

6:20

that happens there are obviously upsides

6:22

and downsides to things

6:23

that's cool so far is a really good

6:25

opportunity to do with this with in my

6:27

opinion right now because i really like

6:28

this talk and i wouldn't mind owning it

6:30

but i'm going to take some nice credits

6:31

for making those promises in this kind

6:33

of market

6:34

and that's because i believe that so far

6:37

is not really likely to double

6:39

in fact i don't even know that so far is

6:40

going to go to 25

6:42

anytime soon i think it's possible that

6:44

so far ends up trading

6:46

sideways for a bit kind of like a lot of

6:48

specs have been

6:49

sideways moderately up or moderately

6:52

down as long as it goes moderately up

6:54

moderately down or stays sideways

6:56

i get to keep the 17 the seven dollars

6:58

and 45 cents i keep the credit it

7:00

expires above 17 and 50 cents i keep the

7:02

7.45

7:04

that's great worst case scenario

7:07

is the stock either doubles which i

7:09

don't think is going to happen or the

7:10

stock let's say goes down

7:12

to zero dollars because if the stock

7:13

goes to zero dollars i'm still stuck

7:15

paying 17.50

7:17

minus 7.45 so basically ten dollars and

7:19

five cents for stock that's worth zero

7:21

then i get screwed right but if it's

7:23

anywhere in between

7:24

things look decent things are pretty

7:27

decent

7:28

anywhere between ten dollars and five

7:30

cents and somewhere around

7:31

twenty four twenty five dollars this

7:34

sold put contract

7:35

makes a lot of sense in fact take a look

7:38

at what i just did

7:39

i took four hundred thirty seven

7:42

thousand 000 of money and i

7:46

signed this up as collateral which does

7:48

not cost me any margin

7:49

but it's from my margin it's sort of

7:51

reserved it takes away my buying power

7:53

it takes up my collateral because if i

7:55

have to buy these shares then my margin

7:57

starts getting used but it's not right

7:58

now so i'm not paying any margin

8:00

and i made this deal in response for

8:03

getting or making this deal

8:04

i got a hundred eighty six thousand two

8:06

hundred fifty dollars in cash

8:09

folks that works out to a forty two

8:10

percent return on my money

8:12

instantly if i just hold this contract

8:15

through january 2023

8:17

that's awesome and then i'll either buy

8:19

the shares or i'll just keep the credit

8:21

and i won't have to buy the shares

8:22

either way i get to keep the credit

8:24

so either buy the shares or i don't have

8:26

to buy the shares at 17 50 but either

8:28

way

8:28

i keep the credit and in this kind of

8:30

market right now

8:32

where i personally believe it's likely

8:34

that even though the s

8:36

p has kind of done this and

8:39

tech has kind of done tech kind of went

8:42

like parabolic last year right and then

8:44

lately it's kind of been doing a little

8:45

bit of that

8:46

right even though that's kind of how the

8:48

market feels like right now and you can

8:50

even put

8:50

may in here probably like right there

8:52

right even though that's kind of how the

8:53

market feels right now

8:54

i i think going forward there's a good

8:58

chance

8:59

that we're going to continue to trade

9:01

sideways

9:02

and i could make some good money by

9:04

selling puts by making these promises

9:06

and basically yield farming by taking

9:08

credits

9:09

and that's what i've been doing in this

9:10

market because i think there's a good

9:11

chance we could be in a sideways or

9:13

slightly down slightly up trading market

9:16

for the next year now it's possible that

9:19

in between now

9:20

and next year we get some kind of

9:22

euphoric rally some kind of

9:24

short-term bumps like for example

9:26

matterport right now is like

9:28

1450 or something like that a few days

9:30

ago it ran up to 17

9:32

so when it ran up to 17 i took advantage

9:34

of that and i sold my call options that

9:37

i had

9:37

and i took profits i took my attendees

9:40

so i'm not

9:40

unwilling to take profits right now

9:42

that's very very important i'm not

9:44

unwilling to take profits i will take

9:46

profits if there's another euphoric

9:48

rally i'll do that as well but in the

9:50

meantime i'm taking advantage of selling

9:52

puts

9:52

and gaining some credits to help offset

9:55

the theta decay on my calls

9:56

and just because i don't think there are

9:59

big buying opportunities yet

10:01

now if the market falls enough and we

10:03

get enough of a drop to where all of a

10:05

sudden square

10:06

is selling for 200 or

10:09

n phase is selling for under 150 again

10:12

or etsy is selling for under

10:16

150 again or pins is selling for under

10:19

60 again

10:20

or lemonade is selling or piton piton oh

10:24

my gosh

10:24

if piton's under 80 again or lemonade 80

10:27

to 100

10:27

somewhere in there or lemonade's under

10:30

60 again

10:31

these are these are times i'll go heavy

10:33

i'll just buy the shares but we're

10:34

nowhere near those prices right now

10:36

so that's why i'm selling puts instead

10:38

i'm selling puts because we're nowhere

10:39

near these prices

10:40

and if we trade sideways or moderately

10:42

up from where we are here

10:44

i'm taking some sweet attendees and i'll

10:46

either get the shares in the future or i

10:48

won't but either way i get that big

10:49

fat credit and i like that for me that

10:52

is a better deal

10:54

than trying to bet because you do have

10:55

an opportunity costing you options

10:57

and trying to bet that the stocks are

10:59

going to go to the moon

11:00

now it's possible that they go to the

11:02

moon and that's why i still have a lot

11:03

of call options

11:04

like i have options on pins on a piton

11:09

on apple on amazon amzn

11:12

right i've got options on a lot of these

11:14

on task live a lot of options on these

11:17

so i'm not getting rid of my very

11:19

bullish positions here

11:20

i'm just waiting for that euphoric rally

11:23

to hit where i can

11:24

sell out of these contracts and then

11:26

probably after that euphoric rally

11:28

whenever that time comes if it even

11:29

comes

11:30

it just wouldn't surprise me to see the

11:31

market trade a little sideways so that's

11:33

why i'm taking the strategy that i'm

11:34

undertaking right now

11:36

now if you're confused as to how does

11:38

put selling work

11:39

how how do the mechanics of this work

11:42

what trades did you make this morning

11:45

uh it did you did you close your

11:47

positions which which i did i closed a

11:49

few positions this morning

11:51

uh i i opened some positions this

11:53

morning i did quite a few things this

11:55

morning

11:55

and hey check out the stocks the

11:57

psychology of money group

11:58

link down below you get lifetime access

12:00

and that way you can also interact with

12:01

me and you get the details

12:03

right after i post this video i'm going

12:04

to be filming a detailed lecture

12:06

on exactly my strategy for how

12:10

to to find these options how to find my

12:13

favorites and

12:14

and and how to see value in them and why

12:16

i do certain things i'm going to be

12:17

posting a detailed lecture on that

12:19

after i post this video so stay tuned

12:21

for that later today

12:23

thank you so very much for watching this

12:24

video and folks we'll see you all in the

12:26

next one
