The Story Of Abdul Jami RA ๐ฐ| Peer Ajmal Raza Qadri | By Pir Ajmal Raza Qadri 2025 #lahore
FULL TRANSCRIPT
When Mulla Abdul Rahman Jami was there, he
used to cry all his heart. When someone ask
ed him why he was crying, he said, "I'm cry
ing because the one I befriended is in Medi
na." And who knows what Naat he wrote? He s
tarted saying, "Jaan beta gujar kun" (I am
the one who loves me). When the winds pass
through your city, "Tell me my whole story.
" Naseema, "Tell the gujar kun" (I am the o
ne who loves me). Tell the news of my belov
ed Mohammad to sleep. O Messenger of Allah,
many months and years have passed, I have
been yearning to see you. Now Mulla Jami, t
he Rahmatullah, started going to Medina. He
found out how a caravan of camels was goin
g. Mulla Jami hid in that caravan. He hid i
n the caravan. He was going to Medina. You
will have to listen to me yourself. My heal
th has become such that I may not be able t
o understand. You will have to pay attentio
n to yourself. Mulla Jami hid in the carava
n of camels. He had just left his city. Med
ina was far away. The Prophet of Allah met
the ruler of Medina at that time in a dream
. The Prophet said, "Go and persuade Jami.
Tell him not to come on my fast. Stop him."
He came to Medina in the holy city. He was
dragged out of the caravan of camels. "O J
ami, it's you." He said, "Yes, it's me." He
said, "Don't come on your fast." Jami rema
ined behind. "My mentor is higher than the
king. I have brought him with me higher tha
n him." He said, "Don't come on my fast." H
e stayed behind. A few days later, a carava
n of horses was passing by. Horses were hid
ing in the middle of the caravan, both on o
ne side and the other. The Prophet again me
t the ruler of Medina in a dream. He said,
"Convince him not to come on my fast." He w
ent and stopped him again. After a few days
, the sheep and goats were going. He hid in
side them. He met me again in a dream. He s
aid, "Go and tell him not to come on my day
." The ruler of Medina took out his sword.
The governor of Medina took out his sword a
nd said to Mullah Jami, "Beware, I will sli
t your throat if you come. I don't know how
big a sinner you are. I don't let you come
. Why are you coming? Run away." Medina sai
d, "I was sleeping." Then he met me in a dr
eam and said, "I told you not to." "Who tol
d you to scold him?" "I told you to stop hi
m. You scolded him. Why? Why are you tortur
ing him? He's crying." "O Messenger of Alla
h, you forbade him three times. If he was a
criminal, you would have forbade him." Med
ina said, "The Prophet said, 'The criminal
is not coming, he is coming with great pain
. He is coming with great sorrow." When he
leaves home, he walks weeping. Sometimes he
walks on his knees. Lasima Jaanbe bataha g
ujar kubalam Khabara of Muhammad and someti
mes he says Garibam Besharam Khaksaram Ya R
asul Allah Garibam Besharam Khaksaram Ya Ra
sul Allah Nigahe Ya Rasul Allah Nigahe He s
aid, he is not a criminal, He is coming wit
h so much pain, so much sorrow, The agony i
n his heart is such, the tears are such Tha
t if Jami comes to my fast, I will have to
come out of the grave to meet him. The pain
is great, the sorrow is great. If he comes
and I come out of the fast, the doomsday w
ill come. The Holy Prophet is incomparable,
incomparable. La mislu wa la misal. There
is no one like him, and there is no one lik
e him. Allah Kareem has created no one like
his beloved. You have to understand this.
The Prophet had no doubt, but Abu Jahl did.
The Holy Prophet had no doubt, but Abu Lah
ab did. There was no doubt in the Prophet.
But his doubt remained unaddressed until th
e end. Even though some people came to him
to get their doubts removed, they did not g
o away. Not just once, but dozens of times,
even if Abu Jahl had doubts in his mind. H
owever, there was no doubt in the Prophet.
One day, he came and asked, "Tell me what i
s in my fist?" The Holy Prophet (peace be u
pon him) said, "If I tell you." He meant, "
If you tell me, I will recite the Kalma." T
he Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I wan
t to tell you, but you won't read anything.
" He said, "Tell me what you have in your f
ist." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,
"Let's make a deal, if you tell me what yo
u have in your fist, what do you think?" Th
e Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "
Brother, Abu Jahl had pebbles in his fist.
The pebbles started reciting the Kalma. Whe
n the pebbles recited the Kalma, they were
stones. Abu Jahl threw those pebbles on the
ground and said, "O, your magic works even
on stones and mountains." Now, I am going
to say the sentence. Understand it. Abu Jah
l was a man of flesh. The pebbles were ston
es. He recited the Kalma. He was a man of f
lesh, but what was the Kalma here? Doubt pr
evented him from proceeding further. Being
a man of flesh, he went ahead of the stones
. He came to the service of the Holy Prophe
t (peace be upon him). In fact, Baz Muddasi
also wrote about the Jewish tradition in t
he scene. He was also sent by him. He said,
"Go and tell the Holy Prophet that if that
tree recites your Kalma, I will also recit
e it." Now, trees are living beings, but no
one recites the Kalma. You ask humans to r
ecite the Kalma, if the tree recites it, I
will recite it. The Holy Prophet (peace be
upon him) was sitting far away. The tree wa
s far away. And Imam Suyuti (may Allah have
mercy on him) has written that the tree wa
s also a Kikar tree. The Holy Prophet (peac
e be upon him) said to the Jew, "Go and tel
l the tree that the Holy Prophet is calling
you." He said, "If I go, then tell him tha
t you have called me by magic." He also too
k precautions and kept everything in front
of him. "What are you that you are being ca
lled?" That person went and said, and Imam
Suyuti has written this. They said he didn'
t even mention the Prophet's name because A
bu Jalal and company knew that there was gr
eat blessing in Mustafa's name. He didn't e
ven mention his name. He said, "Tree, those
sitting in front are calling you. You didn
't mention the Prophet's name. Those sittin
g in front are calling you. Go to the feast
of the Prophet." Imam Bosiri says, "The tr
ee came and came prostrating, tearing throu
gh the earth. How did it come? First, it bo
wed forward, then backward, then right, the
n left. Here too, the writers have written
that the tree wasn't uprooting its roots. W
hen it had to move, it had to come towards
the Prophet, so it moved forward, left, and
right. It was uprooting its roots. But whe
n our teachers used to teach us this tradit
ion, they used to say, "It wasn't uprooting
its roots. When it heard the Prophet was c
alling me, it went into a trance. It starte
d dancing. It was dancing." The Lord himsel
f called me. Go prostrate, and the tree cam
e. It came and prostrated before the Holy P
rophet. It was a tree made of wood. It pros
trated. After prostrating, the tree stood u
p and recited the Prophet's Kalma. The one
whom Abu Jahl had sent, a Jew, saw the tree
's condition and recited the Kalma. He reci
ted the Kalma, but this dishonest person be
gan saying, "Oh, my God, they even cast a s
pell on trees, bringing doubt into the Holy
Quran." But if a person has a cure, there'
s a simple example. Let me give you a simpl
e example: the wall in front may be clean,
but if there's dust on a mirror, should the
wall be cleaned? Or should the mirror be c
leaned? People spend their entire lives cle
aning walls. They spend their entire lives
carving. They spend their entire lives pain
ting as they please. But they don't clean t
heir pupils. They don't clean their pupils.
Someone told Hazrat Rumi, "Your Majesty, y
ou can't find anyone good in this world." H
e started crying a little so that your pupi
ls can perform ablution. "Perform ablution
and let them know how many pure and clean p
eople there are in this world." Then, "Brot
her Shak Abu Jal" came again. He said, "If
you split the moon in two, I'm ready to rec
ite the Kalma." Well, here's a funny thing.
Allah had already told the Holy Prophet (p
eace be upon him) that these people, O belo
ved, whose fate is infidelity, whether you
warn them or not, they won't believe. Even
the pebbles recited the Kalma, even the tre
es recited it. Everything was over. Allah e
ven said, "My beloved, this dishonest perso
n shouldn't recite the Kalma." But the Prop
het said, "Whether he recites it or not, I
won't leave the battlefield." As many times
as it comes, we will definitely show it a
miracle. As many times as it comes, why sho
uld we leave the field and move on? He star
ted saying, "If you break the moon into two
pieces, one side will be like a long waist
." Then the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him
) pointed his finger. The moon was divided
into two parts. There was a hill in Mecca,
half of the hill went on this side and the
other half on that side, that is, the expla
nation. Allah Almighty said that it should
not happen that he would say, "I had a doub
t, but I found it." I don't know, it was a
magic spell on my eyes. Did I find it or no
t? When it broke, it is mentioned in the Ho
ly Hadith that half the moon went from the
mountain to this side, and half was on the
hill. The moon came down. It went around th
e hill. It went ahead and met it. That is,
the speaker was given. To understand the pr
oper sighting. All the people in the whole
world were watching the crescent at that ti
me. Even in India, traditions tell us that
people testified that they had seen the moo
n fall. The world believed it. People cried
out in awe. They fell at their feet. But t
he one who had doubt in his mind did not be
lieve it. The trees and the moon were recog
nized, but doubt remained in the eyes of th
e people. The most helpless, weak, intellig
ent, and incomprehensible person in the wor
ld is the one with doubt in his mind. The l
east discerning person. His legacy is spiri
tually void. He is a failure. He can doubt
anyone. We have seen a woman who starts dou
bting her husband. There is no cure for tha
t house. The one who complains about food a
nd money, her problem is resolved at some p
oint. The problem of the one who is disobed
ient also gets resolved at some point. The
one who has doubts, but no doubt, his probl
em remains unresolved until the dawn of doo
m. If a man has doubts, his issue can also
be resolved again in life. Remember this do
ubt. The Quran completely declares peace an
d good fortune. It answers the questions of
the disbeliever and the hypocrite. The Hol
y Quran provides solace to everyone, but it
was told in the beginning that there is a
long scope for doubt. People are still doub
ting whether it is the word of Allah or not
. So, my brother, a life of peace is weak.
The life of wise people with peace is a wea
k life. The Sahaba (comparable companions)
were people of action. If they were entangl
ed in arguments, they would not have been a
ble to act. There is no debate in our count
ry. The issue which has no relevance at all
. Get out of the confusion. The path of act
ion. Debates that happen block the path of
action. Do not become wise. Be obedient, my
brother. Look at the life of Shukkho Shubh
at. There is peace and tranquility about th
e Ambiya Ikram al-Salam. There is Shabat ab
out the saints. Now a new doubt has arisen
about whether one gets blessings or not. I
have not seen such and such a saint all my
life. I took his name, will I get blessings
or not. I have not seen Ghaus Pak all my l
ife, I was called Qadri. Will I get blessin
gs or not. I have not seen Khwaja Ajmer. I
have not been called Chishti, did I get ble
ssings or not. I have seen his beloved, who
was called Sabri. Did I get blessings or n
ot? O servant of God, blessings are somethi
ng that cannot be seen but is felt the most
. Even Hazrat Awais Qari did not meet the P
rophet. He did not meet me either. I did no
t meet him either. What would you say? Ther
e was no meeting. But the Fuz Barakat is su
ch that my beloved said that if he prays, A
llah will bless my Ummah. So, among our Suf
is, there is a Silsila Awais. Meetings in S
ilsilasiyah are not frequent. They are not
frequent. You see, when you chant someone's
name, when you mention someone's name, whe
n you mention them, when you live in their
presence, then these perfect people of Alla
h Tabark Wa Taala become attracted. They ar
e given attention. And the Lord Himself sai
d, two people who love each other, one in t
he East, one in the West. On the Day of Jud
gment, Allah will gather them both together
in Paradise. What is this, that you doubt
everything, that you haven't met that perso
n, so how can you do that, brother? Meeting
is a different thing, and the only blessin
g is that you have met Allah. Does He provi
de sustenance or not? He gives life, He pro
vides everything, so no one meets Him, so e
verything is fine. Whatever is in a particu
lar place, it should remain there, but thes
e are doubts. Get out of them, get out of t
hem, get out of the grace of Allah, the lov
e of Him. Hazrat Suleman bin Bashar (may Al
lah have mercy on him), an elder who passed
away, says, "I was very handsome in my you
th, I used to do a little service to the re
ligion, then a woman came to me. She asked
me for something. When I asked, I said, she
is a beggar. When I asked her, she was wea
ring a nikah (marriage veil). When I turned
to her to give her money, When I extended
something to give as alms, she removed the
cloth from her face. I lowered my gaze. She
said, "Suleiman, look at my beauty, how be
autiful I am. I am captivated by your love.
By God, I surrender myself to you." You sa
y, when I saw passion in her intentions, th
oughts, and words, I ran away, reciting Ast
akfarullah. I ran so hard that I was out of
Basra. Outside the city, I was running aft
er a woman. The man, the young man, was spe
aking beautifully. The prayer of Isha was b
eing recited. After praying, I went to slee
p in the mosque, and then I saw Hazrat Yusu
f al-Salam. Janab Yusuf says, "I am your sl
ave, the slave of slaves, and a slave from
centuries past." Then Hazrat Yusuf al-Salam
came to me in my dream and said, "Get up,
young man, and take this load from my chest
." Friend, by being a follower of the Holy
Prophet, you have done the work that I did
as a prophet. Now, you did the work of Hazr
at Yusuf, didn't you? There was a gap of ce
nturies, years, and months, and you came he
re because you could. The issue is that a l
ife of Shukr and Shabbat is harmful. Hazrat
, in our holy lineage, there is a Silsila A
lviya, which was achieved by Aala Hazrat Fa
z Barelvi. Shah Abdul Aziz Sahib Dilvi (may
Allah have mercy on him) wrote a great poe
m on the glory of Maula Ali. His poetry and
his memories became so immortal that he al
ways remembered Ali. He says, "I saw Hazrat
Ali in a dream. He gave me the oath of all
egiance and granted me permission to join h
is Silsila Mubaraka." Shah Sahib (may Allah
have mercy on him) used to say, "There are
very few people who are then given the oat
h of allegiance, only a few people among th
em, and in their Silsila Mubaraka, there ar
e only a few people. After Aala Hazrat, the
re is the disciple of the Prophet. After Sh
ah Abdul Aziz, in the Shaal-e-Rasul, he dir
ectly spoke to Maula Ali from God. So, the
meaning is that the work comes from the wis
hes and blessings of God." The Quran says,
"There is doubt in the Qur'an, but near." P
eople doubt something. If they have doubts,
they should do it this way. Then they shou
ld cite a surah like this, and they should
certainly call upon their supporters. If th
ey come out of the world of true doubt, the
y should accept the world of reality. Thank
fulness does not cure goodness. Doubt gives
birth to another doubt. Flaws give birth t
o another fault. Mistakes give birth to ano
ther mistake. And until a person is thankfu
l, I have told you that every home can be s
aved. Every home, every woman, has hope of
recovery. But a wife who doubts her husband
's character is never at peace. Every home
is settled. But a man who doubts his wife's
character will never be with her. A life o
f peace is the life of the sick. A life of
peace is the life of the sick, the life of
the weak, the life of the foolish. So, unt
il you have something clear about the reali
ty, you don't understand it. Sharia, Islam,
has prescribed such punishments for lashes
. Do you know the one who has applied so ma
ny lashes just like that? With no justifica
tion, he simply said, "Yes, he...I suspect
he did this." He ordered, "Flog him on the
basis of suspicion." He is very cruel, he i
s suspecting him. When he has no justificat
ion, these great men...they talk and say, "
Yes, it must have happened, I saw it, I mus
t have done it." If it's possible, this dou
bt, this peace, nothing is lost on the othe
r person. What harm can happen to that poor
man? Remember that. Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Ma
sood used to say a very beautiful thing her
e: when people doubt someone and harbor unj
ustified suspicion, Allah increases their h
onor. Allah bestows that honor. Free your l
ife from illnesses. This spiritual disease
is doubt. To overcome it is cruel. Doubt ev
en the saints, the Sufis, the scholars, dou
bt every person. No one is right. Only one
is right among all the wrongs. Get over thi
s doubt. It will make you a terminally ill
person. It will make you restless, anxious,
and a time will come when it will make you
useless and disgrace you. Do not commit an
y act that will cause you to lose peace. Ju
st attain the wealth of perfect faith. We c
onsider Islam to be the pulpit of faith, to
accept Islam as a religion, and to do what
you have to do before reciting the Kalma.
After reciting the Kalma, you have to do wh
at you have to do. After reciting the Kalma
, you have started taking Shu (the vows of
Shudra). Investigation is done before marri
age. After investigation is not done after
marriage, investigation is done first. The
command was to do it carefully before marri
age. Islam said, now in our country, first
you may not see anyone, then doubt. There i
s doubt everywhere, trouble everywhere. Do
what you have to do later, then act. Come o
ut of a life of doubt. There was a companio
n, Hazrat Janabe Syedna Khafaf bin Ima Ghaf
ari Radi Allah Taala. He played a major rol
e in the battlefield. He and his son played
a major role in the battle of Uhud. So one
day his daughter came to Hazrat Umar. Now
that daughter had married and gone. She was
married. Hazrat Khafaf bin Aima Radi (peac
e be upon him)'s daughter had gone to her i
n-laws' house. Her husband passed away ther
e. That woman returned. She met Hazrat Umar
as a widow. That widow came here and said,
"My brother, those poor soldiers whose wiv
es are invited to a ceremony to give numero
us awards. I spent time as an orphan. I kno
w that for two or four months, people come
and say, 'If there's any order, ten will co
me.' Then, when a year passes, people ask,
'Why don't you do a little work?' It's not
like your father just left. He left behind
something great. Where is this or that thin
g? People's attitudes change after a while.
You gave awards to the homes of many great
men. Have you ever looked back and wondere
d where their children are?" How is his wid
ow doing? How is he coping with the intense
heat and storms of the world? How difficul
t is it for a person to spend time under th
e open sky without any conversation? How ar
e they passing their time? Have people ever
thought about this? Here, colorless politi
cs is rife. So look, those who were not par
tners in the journey have reached the desti
nation. Those who did not set out at all ha
ve reached it. And those who spent their yo
uth there were left behind on the way. Hazr
at Khafa bin Ima's daughter has become a wi
dow. Her children were with her. She met Ha
zrat Umar and said, "Sir, I am the daughter
of that companion who had married her son
on the day of Oud. My children have become
orphans. I am a widow." Hazrat Farooq Azam
Radi Allah Ta'ala Anno did not ask for a li
st. He didn't ask for details of expenses.
"You come and meet so and so, come to the o
ffice the day after tomorrow at 9:00." He d
idn't say anything about it. Hazrat Umar st
ood attentively and listened to the daughte
r's words. Tears rolled down Syedna Farooq'
s eyes. He ran home. He took out a camel. F
rom there, he took two sacks full of stolen
goods. And what was in the sacks? There wa
s silver. There was cash. There were some e
ssential items, and there was also gold. He
filled the two sacks and placed them on th
e camel and handed the reins to the daughte
r, "Son, the goods are yours, the camel is
yours. And don't think this is all I've giv
en you. When this runs out, God will make m
ore arrangements for you." Did you believe
that duties have been imposed? We know when
this stuff will run out? When will the mon
ey run out? I have also issued new orders f
or you. When Hazrat Umar began imposing the
stipend, he doubled the stipend of Hazrat
Osama bin Zad, who served in the House of t
he Prophet. He also doubled the stipend of
his son, Abdullah ibn Umar. Hazrat Osama bi
n Zad said, "Father, I have migrated and al
so performed Jihad." Osama was a child in t
hose days. Hazrat Syedna Umar Farooq replie
d, "Son, Osama's father Zad also served in
the House of the Prophet. Osama is also wor
king. What is the prestige of Hazrat Umar?
The world knows." Yet Hazrat Umar said, "Yo
u migrated with your father." He said, "His
service in the House of the Prophet is gre
ater, therefore his stipend will also be hi
gher." A lot of sheets had come as bounty.
Lots of sheets. Hazrat Umar distributed the
m to the companions of Saba Ikram Ali Ridwa
n. One sheet turned out to be very beautifu
l. Everyone started saying, "Sir, this will
suit the first lady. It will suit your wif
e. It will be best if you take it home some
day." This is Hazrat Umar's childish vision
. What kind of a person is he who cannot se
e everywhere? Hazrat Syedna Umar Farooq (ma
y Allah be pleased with him) said, "Sir, th
is sheet is very beautiful. It will suit yo
ur family." Then Hazrat Umar said, "No, the
re is a companion, Hazrat Umme Sulayt (may
Allah be pleased with her). Call her and I
will give her this sheet. Please explain th
e reason for giving this sheet to that lady
." So Umar began to say, when many people w
ere injured in Uhud, and a stampede had bro
ken out, and the situation had deteriorated
, he said, "I saw with my own eyes that eve
n in that emergency, the woman of the Ummah
(Umm Sulayt) was holding the water pot and
giving water to the wounded. That woman's
services are for the Ummah. She has done he
r duty for the companions. Therefore, that
woman has a greater right to be given this
honor. The division will be based on her ma
rriage, not on kinship or connection. She h
as a greater right. She has a greater statu
s. She has more services. She has performed
her duty more effectively. As long as you
don't bring such things into your life, as
long as you don't create more scope, the si
tuation won't be like that." Then another p
roblem has arisen. That problem is of level
. This work is not for my level. When you d
escend below your level, a little below pro
tocol, and pay attention to small things, y
ou will pay attention to small things. Tiny
things. Hazrat Umar was leading the Friday
prayers. A companion arrived late. Now thi
s question of prayer, of Friday prayers, me
ans the ruler is of a higher level. He will
ask, "Sir, please seat a person of nationa
l level with me." These things...But small
loopholes are created. Then the barriers ar
e broken. Situations deteriorate. The moral
s of communities deteriorate first in small
places. In small places, a child first com
mits small thefts. God forgive him if he is
not stopped. Then he goes to bigger places
and worsens the situation. Why did Hazrat
Jami Jami (may Allah have mercy on him) ach
ieve such a position? I mixed it with this
passion. I met this sir, I know I don't eat
raw or cooked rotis, O Malwa, I make two o
r four and leave, Cooked and firm and indef
ensible, Every sect of thought, Subhan, und
oubtedly, Jami'a Rahmatullah Allah appeared
in Medina Sharif, I know, sir, he said, st
op the Jamia, I can't enter, Jami'a Rahmatu
llah Allah cried ahead, O Prophet of Allah,
My wages have been recovered, Life has bee
n recovered, Life has been recovered, Life
has been recovered, Life has been recovered
, O Prophet of Allah, Prayer, O Allah, Pray
er, My life has come out through Hijr, O Al
lah, O Prophet, have mercy, After all, Rahm
atul Alameen, Holiday, Lamp, Nishing, You a
re not Rahmatul Alameen, why should you for
give such a person with such a defect, plea
se pay attention to him, He said, no, you w
ill not enter. I was asked, O Prophet of Al
lah, am I angry? Jami cried. Jami, the voic
e of that passion and love did not come. If
he comes to the net, then Muhammad Mustafa
[Praise] Hazrat Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir
Jilani These are the four Qutbs of your era
, Subhan Allah. Friends and also of the sam
e status and position. The one who is of th
e highest position among them is Hazrat She
ikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, Rahmatullah Sheikh
Ahmad Rifai, Sheikh Ahmed Dasuki Subhan All
ah. And Hazrat Ahmad Rifai's status is such
that Present in the court of the Prophet (
peace be upon him). He was a Syed from the
Prophet's family. When he appeared, he bega
n to request, "Nana Jaan, please take out y
our hand, I want to kiss it." This is the f
irst instance in the Ummah where Hazrat Ahm
ad Rifai, for the sake of Kabir Rifai (may
Allah have mercy on him), emerged from this
blessed net of Hazrat Ahmad Rifai. Hazrat
Ahmad Rifai kissed Hazrat's hand. Subhan Al
lah, he kissed the hand, but look here, Jam
i, that hand came out. He said, "Jami, it i
s my passion that I do not have children, I
do not have a family, but a hand that appr
eciates love. Don't cut it, please come out
." Jai Shri Ram. [Music]
