Mark THIS Date for the Eviction Crisis | Housing Market

hey everyone meet kevin here so we have

some news regarding the eviction

moratorium so a couple weeks ago we had

a joe biden say hey look we want to

extend eviction protection why

it's because state governments like

california have been failing to provide

rent relief to their citizens california

got like 4.8 billion dollars from the

federal government they've had it since

december february they've only given out

like six percent to tenants which is

ridiculous

so now landlords are suffering waiting

for these rent relief payments while

states are super slow to process

obviously democratic party to help

support tenants the democratic party has

decided hey let's just try to work with

the cdc come up with a whole new

eviction moratorium even though the last

one was thrown out in court and

basically slapped together something we

think is probably illegal but try to

protect tenants at least until

october third so that they can't get

evicted well

immediately thereafter realtor

association sued this saying hey you're

just playing the game here like you're

obviously just rewording it a little bit

to try to skirt the law because the

supreme court has already said the

eviction ban via the cdc is illegal

well a federal judge today decided they

will not issue an injunction which

basically means that court case keeps

going on nothing gets halted and pretty

much the eviction ban will continue

until october 3rd because no full court

case is going to get processed until

then so it's basically a loss in court

uh is what it is so what does that mean

unfortunately that means landlords who

are waiting for rent uh have have to

figure out how to work with their

tenants or wait until october 3rd my big

encouragement to all landlords and

attendance of course is try to work

together go through that

the stupid silly application processes

that they have i know they're a headache

but it's worth doing try to get started

on a good foot with your landlord or

restart offer a restart if you're a

tenant or a landlord offer a restart hey

can we restart we know none of us want

to wait to go through an eviction

process in october

but biden has already said it's not

going to get extended again what can we

do to work together and get rent relief

up to 12 months of back rent relief and

another three months going forward this

is good free money in most areas are now

doing 100 rent forgiveness and and rent

relief sorry this for the horde mask

keeps wanting to move around as i talk

but anyway uh this is an update on the

eviction band the eviction band will

continue until october 3rd and this i

mean barring some other crazy thing that

happens who knows i'd say it's like 99

certain uh and it is uh worth mentioning

that joe biden does not plan to extend

it again this does mean we could end up

with an eviction crisis towards the end

of the year which is interesting because

at the end of the year is already when

we usually have real estate buyer slow

down we're already seeing real estate

buyers slow down if you continue to get

real estate buyers slow down and you get

eviction inventory

with

less buyers at the same time yeah you

could see some fluctuations in the
