0:00

well World War III might officially be

0:02

cancelled if this is all Iran has we

0:05

have a

0:06

99.9% failure with Iran's attack against

0:10

Israel last night we got 185 drones 36

0:13

cruise missiles and 110 surfac to

0:16

surface missiles most of which

0:17

originated from Iran itself although uh

0:20

there were some that were launched from

0:22

Iraq and Yemen uh we're now waiting for

0:25

the retaliation from Israel which

0:28

hopefully isn't as dispropor forunate as

0:30

the Gaza retaliation was after Hamas

0:33

invaded and about 1,500 Israelis and

0:36

Hamas individuals died we ended up

0:38

getting about a 30,000 Palestinian death

0:41

afterwards combined with additional

0:43

Israeli soldier deaths so we've got this

0:46

standard of like a 20 to 30X response

0:48

and hopefully we don't get that kind of

0:50

response to this because this was an

0:52

abject failure by Iran and it was quite

0:54

frankly an embarrassment remember Iran

0:56

sells these drones to Russia which

0:59

what's actually kind of interesting

1:00

about that is this was probably the

1:02

worst advertisement ever for Iran's

1:04

drones with 99.9% of all of the weapons

1:08

that were launched against Israel

1:10

intercepted and every single drone shot

1:13

down not a single Iranian drone made it

1:16

into Israeli territory probably not the

1:19

best way to pitch your drones but anyway

1:22

uh Iran thinks this was a great success

1:24

in fact they're calling this a success

1:26

Beyond imagination uh the aerial attack

1:29

is now done uh Iran is claiming that

1:32

they are finished they are done with

1:33

their attack uh out of the 30 Cruise

1:36

Miss missiles that were launched about

1:39

uh 25 were shot down before getting into

1:42

Israeli airspace of the five that did uh

1:45

they were then affected by GPS jamming

1:48

and only about two or three hidden Air

1:49

Base in Israel uh you were looking at uh

1:53

nominal damage to the Open Spaces of the

1:55

Israeli ba airspace or the air base

1:58

rather that was the Nava Tim air base

2:01

for natim air base and again minor

2:04

impact to open areas the Israeli

2:06

Ambulance Association reported no on the

2:09

ground injuries at all now Israel did

2:12

suspect there was a chance that there

2:13

would be no on the ground injuries and

2:16

they said they still they would still

2:18

weigh whether to respond and how to

2:20

respond even if there were no injuries

2:23

and now we're hearing there were no

2:24

injuries so let's see what Israel pulls

2:26

off of course we'll talk about

2:27

implications and that in just a moment

2:29

but other details to consider the US uh

2:32

is of course encouraging cooler heads to

2:36

Prevail at this point we don't want an

2:38

escalated conflict we don't want a World

2:40

War II we want World War III canceled uh

2:42

Iran is threatening that to attack US

2:45

Air bases in the region if the US AIDS

2:48

Israel in any response they're also

2:51

threatening other countries in the area

2:53

uh clearly in my opinion Iran lost a lot

2:56

of clout here I mean my opinion is Iran

2:58

just became a whole lot less scary we

3:00

know they're likely a nuclear power

3:02

they're not supposed to be enriching

3:04

uranium but we know they do deep in

3:06

their tunnels uh and so this is pretty

3:09

embarrassing for them but anyway uh some

3:11

people say that oh well Iran intended

3:13

for this just to be a messaging tool

3:16

well it's a pretty embarrassing

3:17

messaging tool because Iran made it very

3:19

clear upfront that they were not going

3:21

to Target any economic or population

3:23

Center they were just targeting military

3:26

installations at Israel and Israel did

3:28

move their equivalent of Air Force one

3:30

into the space and they started

3:31

evacuating certain military bases

3:33

because they were expecting those to be

3:36

targets well none of those really ended

3:38

up getting affected again with the

3:40

exception of an open space uh air base

3:42

or the Open Spaces within one particular

3:44

Air Base uh multiple targets uh were

3:47

struck in retaliation in Lebanon

3:49

specifically weapons Depot from

3:51

Hezbollah uh Biden has considered this a

3:55

win in a phone call with Benjamin n

3:57

suggesting that nothing of value appears

3:59

to have lost that's not uncommon to hear

4:02

a politician say because we did just

4:03

happen to light $1 billion of weapon

4:06

defenses on fire defending against this

4:07

sort of attack which cost Iran a

4:10

fraction of that but that's pretty

4:11

normal because after all an unguided

4:13

rocket launched at Israel cost about

4:16

$11,000 to send in whereas the Iron Dome

4:19

costs about $80,000 to fight back per

4:22

missile per unguided rocket that they're

4:24

trying to take down so a little

4:26

disproportionate on the cost especially

4:27

when you're relying on the Arrow two or

4:29

Arrow 3 systems to take down ballistic

4:31

missiles that are potentially uh near

4:34

the edge of space there were some really

4:36

neat video shots of uh some of these

4:39

missiles we're not sure if they're

4:40

Hypersonic probably not but near the

4:42

edge of space that blew up and had some

4:44

pretty neat explosions up there uh Biden

4:47

is convening the G7 again no reports of

4:50

injuries and now the question is what

4:53

happens going forward that's the big

4:55

question at this point previous to the

4:57

Hamas attack in October

5:00

relations in the region had really

5:01

started normalizing it it somewhat felt

5:04

like the US withdrawal would go from

5:06

Afghanistan and a lot of the Middle East

5:08

would finally go without major sort of

5:10

backlash and problems although obviously

5:12

we lost Afghanistan within a matter of

5:14

days but that wasn't much of a surprise

5:16

you leave a power vacuum that's what's

5:17

going to happen but uh really what we're

5:20

trying to build is normalized relations

5:23

with say Saudi Arabia and Partnerships

5:24

with other countries here so that way we

5:26

can have better trade routes to India we

5:29

uh can have direct routes through land

5:31

rather than always through sea uh

5:34

China's trying to do the same thing with

5:35

the Silk Road expansions uh so

5:38

everybody's trying to do sort of a

5:40

partnership land grab I like to call it

5:41

in the Middle East these sort of

5:43

disasters and tensions just make all of

5:45

that more complicated and challenging

5:47

and of course the biggest consideration

5:49

now is what's next obviously at this

5:52

point we think markets are still going

5:53

to be jittered at least until we see how

5:56

Israel is going to respond you still got

5:58

Bitcoin as your risk asset measure

6:00

sitting at 645 that obviously recovered

6:03

from the 617 it fell down to so nice

6:06

recovery there but certainly not back to

6:08

where we were just before the attack

6:11

it's worth noting just before the attack

6:12

we were sitting at right around 67

6:15

though in anticipation of the attack we

6:17

did drop from

6:19

70.7 down to uh about that 677 range so

6:22

we lost about 3,000 in anticipation

6:25

since obviously the CIA and the United

6:26

States have been warning about this

6:28

attack coming Iran also gave 72-hour

6:31

notice to neighboring countries that the

6:33

attack was coming uh so now the question

6:36

really is hey maybe maybe we need to

6:38

find a true longlasting solution for

6:41

peace between Israel and the

6:43

Palestinians dealing with the issues of

6:46

Gaza the West Bank and finding some form

6:49

of solution because frankly these issues

6:51

are likely to keep igniting I kind of

6:53

liking it to a house that's on fire and

6:56

you put out the fire everywhere except

6:59

the master bedroom and all of a sudden

7:02

what happens well the fire just

7:04

reignites and you keep having a massive

7:07

problem so that's the concern is we're

7:10

leaving smoldering fires by leaving a

7:13

lot of these issues unresolved until

7:15

they explode into something

7:16

substantially larger which is exactly

7:18

what we saw in October and again the

7:20

biggest concern is how is Israel going

7:23

to respond John Kirby was asked uh this

7:26

morning on um uh cbs's weekly show on

7:30

Sunday morning he was asked hey well you

7:32

know do you support Benjamin and and his

7:34

response was well he's the elected

7:36

leader and and we're going to work with

7:37

him some people think that Kirby was

7:40

sort of looking a little fearful but he

7:42

kind of always looks a little fearful so

7:43

I don't know if he was really indicating

7:45

anything so uh you know I I think the

7:48

big thing here is the United States has

7:51

made it very clear them combined with

7:53

France and Germany and uh uh the the

7:56

Royal Air Force from Great Britain were

7:58

all

8:00

supporting Israel that likely means the

8:03

US taxpayers here helped prevent World

8:05

War III because Mo well and then of

8:07

course the British taxpayers as well but

8:10

it's mostly because we pretty much

8:13

funded all of this defense against Iran

8:16

so it's almost like the US is in this

8:19

sort of proxy war against Iran but uh

8:22

that's not a surprise we kind of always

8:23

have been the idea with Biden's

8:25

negotiations over the last few years has

8:27

been that well maybe we could finally

8:29

have peace with Iran clearly that's not

8:31

the case but something that is

8:33

interesting that I was thinking of is

8:34

those uh s131 and s136 drones that uh

8:39

especially the Piston propelled ones

8:41

which are just you know they're flying

8:42

at 120 130 mph think like small Cessna

8:45

almost you probably had some pretty sick

8:49

uh entertainment for the uh jet fighters

8:53

I'm just trying to put myself in the

8:54

shoes of the Air Force folks out

8:56

there I can only imagine coming in

9:00

Behind These slow moving drones and the

9:03

cool thing is because they're not meant

9:04

for airto a combat you could probably

9:07

use the f-35s f-22s and just use your

9:10

probably what 35mm machine gun Cannon or

9:12

whatever to uh to take down these drones

9:15

with bullets rather than missiles which

9:17

is substantially cheaper and it was

9:20

probably really entertaining I kind of

9:22

hope we get some footage out of that

9:23

because I think it would look really

9:24

cool like actually POV footage wouldn't

9:27

that be cool seeing some some pictures

9:29

or video rather from the jets shooting

9:32

down little drones floating around yeah

9:36

yeah so anyway uh there you have it if

9:38

you like the content I'll keep bringing

9:39

out more updates Jack let's go this way

9:42

and uh I got to go on my own ride here

9:44

obviously and um stay safe out there and

9:48

make sure to subscribe for more updates

9:49

we'll see you soon thanks bye subscri
