0:00

is it sabotage did Russia blow up its

0:02

own pipeline to Europe did the United

0:04

States blow up the pipeline did Ukraine

0:06

do it is Tucker Carlson right and what

0:09

does this mean for the future of the

0:11

Russia Ukraine crisis nukes what's going

0:14

on with the troops let's talk and

0:16

summarize everything in a non-biased

0:18

manner hey everyone meet Kevin here wow

0:20

folks first let me say when I first

0:22

posted a video on this topic I deleted

0:25

it within three minutes because I

0:26

realized I needed to add even more

0:29

context so that's what we're going to do

0:31

in this video to try to make sure we're

0:32

addressing all sides that's my goal and

0:35

if anything this stresses you out

0:36

remember you can get life insurance by

0:38

going to metcaven.com life and then it's

0:40

as little as five minutes you can Apple

0:41

pay or Android pay for life insurance

0:44

all right so here's what we know let's

0:46

talk about the facts and let's talk

0:47

about the speculation and then we'll

0:49

talk about the facts again okay we'll go

0:51

in that order so first here's what we

0:52

know the CIA specifically warned Germany

0:55

about attacks on the nordstream 1 and

0:57

nordstream 2 pipelines this summer in

0:59

June so so the U.S was already kind of

1:02

like hey there could be some attacks on

1:04

these pipelines which sends this sort of

1:05

implication that either they intercepted

1:08

Communications that suggested there

1:10

could be attacks by Russia or Ukraine or

1:13

otherwise or they themselves were

1:15

manufacturing these plans to attack

1:17

these pipelines we'll touch on that

1:19

including what Joe Biden said the north

1:21

stream 2 pipeline carrying natural gas

1:24

from Russia to Europe never officially

1:26

opened because Russia invaded Ukraine

1:28

and Europe instantly stopped supporting

1:30

permits for the north stream too even

1:32

though the project had just come to

1:35

completion the north stream one however

1:37

previously was pretty critical because

1:39

it helped deliver the 40 percent of

1:41

Europe's natural gas that it gets from

1:43

Russia so this is not like a small

1:46

portion of natural gas for Europe that

1:48

needs to be replaced it's 40 percent of

1:51

Europe's natural gas was coming from

1:53

Russia and the north stream one was

1:54

critical for that and the north stream 2

1:56

would have helped a lot how bring the

1:58

cost of natural gas down be able to

2:00

deliver more even more efficiently

2:02

but even the Nordstrom one was shut down

2:05

after the invasion started and while it

2:07

did temporarily reopen to A reduced

2:10

capacity somewhere at 15 to 25 percent

2:12

the pipeline was again closed at the

2:15

start of September which is just the

2:17

beginning of this month about four weeks

2:19

ago now both pipelines just got attacked

2:23

three explosions occurred

2:26

We Believe those are explosions because

2:28

a Swedish a seismologist noticed the

2:31

explosions occurred right before a drop

2:34

in pressure in both pipelines and then

2:37

bubbling up leaks were discovered you

2:39

could Google some of the images of these

2:41

leaks they're pretty dramatic you just

2:43

see these big circles that almost look

2:45

like hurricanes in the water of bubbled

2:47

up water uh and what that is not so

2:51

important what's more important though

2:52

is that these explosions were obviously

2:54

conducted by somebody somebody bombed

2:57

these pipelines and these pipelines

2:59

aren't exactly easy to bomb because

3:00

they're still biblings as deep as 300 to

3:03

400 feet reinforced steel pipelines and

3:07

it's likely that somebody would have

3:08

required some form of sophisticated

3:10

technology to not only locate the

3:12

pipelines which they are mapped but to

3:15

get to those pipelines and then bring

3:17

some kind of explosive strong enough to

3:20

burst those pipelines it's not like we

3:22

could just swim down there with a SCUBA

3:23

tank and whack it a few times with a

3:25

shovel and boom there you go no on top

3:27

of this both of the fuel lines were

3:29

primed and it's likely that whoever

3:31

attacked these lines knew that the fuel

3:33

lines were primed which means they were

3:34

full of fuel which also means you can't

3:37

just drive a submarine up right next to

3:39

it because you're gonna be in the blast

3:41

zone likely unless of course you can

3:42

fire a torpedo from further away but

3:44

these were European Union International

3:47

uh well European Union Waters they're

3:49

not international waters and so they're

3:52

likely heavily surveilled regions and a

3:56

submarine shooting a torpedo from a

3:58

distance would have likely been noticed

4:00

by the certainly the U.N United States

4:02

military but you would also expect by uh

4:04

you know either the swedes or Denmark or

4:07

the European Union or NATO to some

4:09

extent because after all that's our job

4:10

is to monitor when Torpedoes start

4:12

flying around okay like that that seems

4:15

odd it seems more likely that somehow

4:18

maybe a submarine was able to place an

4:21

explosive or wrap an explosive around

4:23

this pipeline uh and essentially sneak

4:26

in and sneak out either a covert mission

4:29

that was authorized from a European or

4:31

United States or Ukrainian side or a

4:33

Russian side we'll talk more about the

4:35

speculation around that but anyway as a

4:37

result of these explosions massive

4:39

natural gas leaks occurred very rapidly

4:41

causing potentially the same pollution

4:43

that would have caused or that would

4:45

have otherwise been caused by 20 million

4:48

Vehicles conducting their average

4:49

driving for about a year that's a lot of

4:53

pollution and that didn't happen over

4:55

the span of a year like 20 million

4:57

Vehicles driving around it happened in

4:58

the span of a few hours that's because

5:00

of the massive methane leaks that came

5:02

along this pipeline burst and methane is

5:06

to 80 times more damaging to the

5:09

environment than CO2 especially at these

5:11

concentrations so the question now is

5:13

okay like why would somebody do this

5:16

like this this is crazy like the

5:17

pipelines were off what's the benefit to

5:20

doing this why would you sabotage and

5:22

potentially damage your own

5:23

infrastructure if you're Russian it's

5:25

your infrastructure of your European

5:26

it's your infrastructure like what the

5:28

hell why would this happen so I made a

5:31

little diagram to try to think about

5:33

this and then I want to address the sort

5:35

of the Tucker Carlson uh drama and then

5:37

we're going to talk a little bit about

5:38

sort of my expectations around this so

5:39

first of all why would Russia cut itself

5:41

off well Russia knows that the EU is is

5:46

done okay so let's start with that okay

5:48

so at this point Russia pretty much

5:50

knows they're going to be getting

5:52

replaced as an energy source like nobody

5:54

wants to rely on Russia anymore going

5:57

forward because now we know that Russia

5:59

is not a reliable partner they're

6:01

erratic so for example the CEO of total

6:05

energies was on Bloomberg today and

6:08

talked about exactly this and he says

6:10

look for right now yes the future is

6:12

uncertain but here is something we know

6:15

with certainty the game is over in

6:17

Russia it is not safe to unrest invest

6:20

in Russia they say they would rather

6:22

invest in oil exploration or natural gas

6:25

exploration in the United States or

6:27

Qatar and they would rather provide

6:29

liquefied natural gas compressed natural

6:31

gas via ship to Europe he also says that

6:35

right now gas storage natural gas

6:37

storage in Europe is good he says in his

6:40

opinion Europe is fully stored and safe

6:43

that there's enough natural gas for

6:45

heating for this winter obviously it's

6:48

going to probably depend on the severity

6:50

of the winter and the CEO did go as far

6:52

as saying that hey we're not sure if

6:54

we're going to be able to cover all of

6:55

the electricity needs but in terms of

6:57

heating needs we're good so it doesn't

6:58

sound like we're perfect here but it

7:01

does sound like we've been preparing for

7:03

mitigating the risk of this winter but

7:05

what's fascinating is if we go back to

7:07

this particular spreadsheet here or or

7:09

this diagram when we say something like

7:12

well why would Russia you know

7:14

self-destruct why would Russia do this

7:17

like they would want to potentially turn

7:18

this Pipeline on again in the future the

7:21

odds of that are in my opinion extremely

7:23

low because after all companies are

7:25

already saying no you you know what

7:26

we're going to either develop more

7:28

nuclear power we're going to have other

7:29

sources other Supply chains essentially

7:31

for natural gas because we can't trust

7:33

Russia anymore so the idea that well

7:35

Russia wouldn't self-destruct is

7:37

actually very convenient for Russia

7:39

because people might initially think oh

7:42

well why would Russia self-destruct

7:44

without thinking about all the

7:45

additional facts that I just provided

7:47

and then somebody else could be blamed

7:50

even if Russia was the one who actually

7:52

perpetrated this attack especially with

7:55

the comments Joe Biden made I'm going to

7:57

talk about Joe Biden's comments in a

7:59

moment and I have to say

8:01

they do raise an eyebrow a little bit

8:04

but then again it's Joe Biden so we'll

8:07

see we'll see okay so my thoughts here

8:10

is I wrote that the result of Russia

8:12

attacking this pipeline would obviously

8:14

be to escalate tensions but it also has

8:17

this interesting strategic point of view

8:19

it would put the security and Military

8:21

on high alert for NATO and Norway and

8:24

Denmark because this would essentially

8:26

be an incursion into European Waters and

8:30

now you do see countries like Norway and

8:32

Denmark saying okay we're ramping up our

8:33

security so now uh militaries for these

8:37

countries are focused on the Baltic Sea

8:39

and maybe not so much on sending more

8:42

weapons to Ukraine right oh let's beef

8:44

up our security because we just

8:46

potentially had a breach so you do have

8:48

the Strategic advantage to where Russia

8:50

potentially is going to be able to

8:52

convince a lot of people to think that

8:54

well Russia didn't do it why would we do

8:56

that that's crazy the EU did this

8:58

themselves to blame it on us and Russia

9:00

kind of gets a strategy Advantage here

9:02

potentially and it also reiterates the

9:04

sort of scorched Earth approach of you

9:07

know mess with Russia this is what you

9:08

get right so you kind of have some

9:11

interesting considerations here for

9:13

could it be Russia right okay now could

9:15

it be the United States or a European

9:18

country well I'm going to talk about

9:20

these notes right after I play the

9:22

Tucker Carlson clip which is where he

9:25

shows what Joe Biden says about hey like

9:29

how can you guarantee us that the

9:30

nordstream 2 won't be coming back online

9:32

and I have to say when you watch it it's

9:35

kind of like

9:36

oh yeah yeah that that is a little

9:39

suspicious okay let's go and play it and

9:41

then I'll come back with commentary in

9:42

early February less than three weeks

9:44

before the war in Ukraine began Joe

9:45

Biden suggested on camera that he might

9:48

take out these pipelines watch

9:51

if Russia invades uh that means tanks or

9:55

troops crossing the uh the border of

9:58

Ukraine again then uh there will be uh

10:03

we there will be no longer on North

10:05

stream too if we we will bring it into

10:07

it

10:09

would you but how would you how will you

10:12

do that

10:14

exactly since the project and control of

10:17

the project is within Germany's control

10:20

we will uh I promise you we'll be able

10:23

to do it

10:25

notice how he phrased that he's the

10:27

president doesn't phrase things by

10:28

accident particularly when he's reading

10:30

off cards he didn't say I will pause the

10:32

delivery of gas from Russia to Germany

10:35

he said there won't be a Nordstrom too

10:37

we'll put an end to it we'll take it out

10:38

we'll blow it up

10:40

how will you do this he was asked I

10:42

promise you we will be able to do it

10:44

they thought this through and yet those

10:46

watching very much including us didn't

10:48

take Biden seriously when he said it

10:50

this is the president who's declared

10:52

climate change the most pressing

10:53

emergency in the history of the world

10:55

okay welcome back so you know obviously

10:58

this is heavily implicated that maybe

11:00

the United States in Europe were in

11:02

kahoot kahoots here because remember

11:03

this is EU territory uh there are

11:06

suggestions on Twitter that people are

11:07

looking at flight paths for U.S military

11:09

helicopter activity and stuff and and

11:12

people are drawing all these connections

11:13

that oh well it was almost certainly in

11:15

the United States and Europe like

11:16

ultimately we we probably won't know the

11:18

answer to this uh have you know Biden's

11:20

hints or and smirks towards the end of

11:23

what he said or you know somewhat

11:25

implicative if that's a word but I I

11:27

will say you know this is quite a

11:29

climate disaster and I I if there's one

11:32

pause I have with definitely blaming the

11:34

United States and Europe is that they

11:36

they are they really stand for the

11:39

climate certainly a lot more than I

11:41

suspect that Putin does and I think if

11:44

it ever came out which this stuff always

11:46

ends up coming out that the United

11:48

States or Europe authorized this attack

11:50

the political careers of people who

11:52

authorize this would absolutely be over

11:54

uh if you create the worst natural gas

11:57

leak in the world since the natural gas

12:01

leak in Los Angeles at a gas station not

12:03

not like a physical gas station but a

12:05

natural gas plant uh where where natural

12:07

gas storage leaked over many months

12:09

right this is the worst disaster in a

12:13

climate-related natural gas leaks since

12:14

2015 that's seven years okay this is

12:17

like political suicide unless they could

12:19

come out and say well all the climate

12:21

impact actually isn't that bad that's

12:24

gonna be a hard hard one to argue though

12:26

so I think politically it's extremely

12:28

risky to suggest that the United States

12:30

or Europe pulled this off is it does it

12:34

make sense because it's in EU territory

12:36

sure but then again that plays into the

12:39

Russian hand that like well of course if

12:42

Russia is going to do it why not do it

12:44

in EU territory sneak in at night and do

12:47

it if you can pull it off you know maybe

12:48

you got some kind of uh like a radar

12:50

blocking uh submarine or or something

12:53

that goes deep enough to where sonar is

12:55

just not picking this thing up

12:57

maybe that's the way it is I we don't

13:00

know all the technology right but it

13:02

kind of reiterates that like hey if

13:04

Russia could pull that off that would be

13:05

the place to do it is on EU territory

13:07

because it raises the suspicion that it

13:09

was the EU or is the inside job of the

13:11

United States an inside job of the

13:12

United States right especially with the

13:13

cias hints earlier this year

13:16

and the U.S you know in the foreign

13:18

policy and three letter organizations

13:19

don't have the best of reputations right

13:21

now and again as we know reputation is

13:23

what other people think of you character

13:24

is what is actually going on and the

13:26

reality is we just don't we don't know

13:28

what's actually

13:29

we do obviously think that there's this

13:32

potential that Ukraine could be involved

13:34

here they're not taking any of the

13:37

natural gas they'd potentially be

13:40

eligible for traveling within EU

13:42

territory in the Baltic Waters without

13:43

suspicion however they have a small Navy

13:46

they've got a small Coast Guard they've

13:48

got dated equipment Russia has taken

13:50

many of the ships before even The

13:52

Invasion because Ukraine just really

13:54

hasn't been capable of maintaining an

13:56

actual standing Navy

13:57

uh you know however they've been getting

14:00

billions of dollars from the United

14:01

States and and from Europe and so I'm

14:03

sure they could either take over a ship

14:05

or a submarine and you know go do this

14:08

sort of Rogue Mission if you will

14:09

they've got plenty of Firepower weapons

14:11

you know they they could pull it off

14:13

Ukraine would be probably the most

14:16

obvious because it really would go to

14:19

show that like look look how erratic

14:22

Russia is what are they gonna do next

14:24

and uh and you know even though the

14:26

fingers pointing at the United States or

14:28

Europe

14:29

Ukraine seems like they would

14:31

potentially benefit here because the

14:32

United States or Europe will be like

14:34

well crap we didn't actually do it wow

14:36

Ukraine's right they are erratic Let's

14:38

Help Ukraine more right so the point is

14:41

like all of this here is just

14:42

speculation here's what we know we know

14:45

that Russia is trying to raise an army

14:47

of another million soldiers but the

14:48

Russian military age men are leaving we

14:51

also know that Russia is deploying

14:52

troops to the border of countries like

14:54

Georgia to give people their notices and

14:56

go hey you look like a military-aged man

14:58

looks like you're leaving here's your

14:59

notice to serve you don't come serve

15:01

you're getting arrested

15:02

you also know that Ukraine is asking

15:05

European countries to stop accepting

15:08

Russians and providing visas to Russian

15:11

military-aged men so that way on behalf

15:14

of zelenski the Russian age men are

15:16

forced to stay within Russia and they

15:17

could potentially dissent within their

15:19

own country problem with this is some

15:21

people are saying why would you suggest

15:23

that Ukraine why not just let the

15:26

Russian military age men leave Russia

15:28

and then they're not available to fight

15:29

you in Ukraine

15:32

it's exhausting it's really stressful

15:34

and exhausting but I will tell you this

15:37

here are the facts the facts are this

15:41

winter is going to be tough for Europe

15:42

and GDP will suffer because if the

15:45

Nordstrom pipelines came back on we

15:46

would be able to reduce inflation now

15:48

that's gone the optimism that maybe a

15:51

natural gas contracts could fall this

15:53

winter very likely gone we're now

15:56

reliant on slow natural gas compressed

15:58

deliveries via ship and

16:01

building Renewables that all takes time

16:03

the future is very uncertain there's a

16:05

reason natural gas contracts from

16:06

Denmark are up 20 on the day natural gas

16:09

more broadly in oil or back up again

16:11

Brent is back up to nearly 90 that had

16:13

gone as low as like eighty four dollars

16:14

and we're going right back up okay this

16:16

is bad for inflationary issues that's a

16:18

fact this is bad for inflation

16:20

Bloomberg economists believe it is a

16:22

fact that GDP will fall by four percent

16:24

in the Euro area if we have rationing

16:27

this winter

16:28

that's a huge decline in GDP yeah we

16:32

only need to be like negative like Point

16:33

half of a percent to be in in a

16:35

recession negative four percent would be

16:37

absolutely terrible the next fact that

16:40

comes up is

16:42

what about nukes and it this is less of

16:45

a fact it's more of the statement of

16:46

what about nukes is Russia really this

16:48

erratic to where maybe they could

16:50

actually start using tactical nukes on

16:52

the battlefield

16:53

which haven't been used since Hiroshima

16:55

and Nagasaki but could happen

16:57

this would be terrible this would be an

16:59

unacceptable escalation which the United

17:01

States has told us would absolutely be

17:04

met with a counter attack

17:06

we don't want to go there because then

17:08

we're in a World War

17:09

then China gets involved and it's a

17:12

disaster so the one fact of this number

17:14

two issue here is that we know any kind

17:17

of use of nukes would be a disaster

17:19

hopefully we don't go there

17:21
