FULL TRANSCRIPT

0:00

a lot of drama regarding Elon Musk and

0:02

potentially silencing and censoring

0:04

folks H1B visas immigration debates

0:08

anger at vake and musk by folks within

0:13

the Trump or Maga Community which then

0:17

you've got people on the left who are

0:19

sort of cheering this new division

0:21

amongst those on the right and a lot of

0:24

people might be hearing about some drama

0:26

going on with musk and VI a lot of

0:29

Democrats might even be looking at this

0:30

going like what's going on like how's

0:32

there so much infighting all of a sudden

0:34

what I wanted to do was basically give

0:36

you an overview of exactly what's going

0:38

on so you understand this immigration

0:40

H1B Visa debate I'll give you some of

0:42

the facts and arguments on both sides

0:44

and then at the end of this video If you

0:46

make it all the way to the end you're

0:47

going to get a special reward you're

0:50

going to get my opinion which for

0:53

whatever that's worth I guess uh you

0:55

could decide once we get there that's

0:57

pretty loud Jack you come say hi and

1:01

just Jack goes flushes the

1:04

toilet like the loudest flush I've ever

1:06

heard in my life it's all good May who

1:08

knows maybe the iPhone mic didn't even

1:10

hear it anyway here we go so uh let's

1:12

start with some of the cens censorship

1:14

stuff so uh first uh there's uh there's

1:17

this poster on X called Laura lomer uh

1:20

some people call her Super rightwing

1:23

other people say that she's just

1:25

somebody who gets a lot of engagement on

1:27

X well apparently she lost her blue

1:30

check mark for saying that musk had his

1:32

feelings hurt about her complaints

1:35

towards musk when she criticized him for

1:38

basically putting profits over Americans

1:41

and this is kind of the root of what the

1:43

debate is that's going on on one side

1:46

you have people who say oh musk and Viv

1:50

they're just corporate elitists and they

1:53

just care about more profit and that's

1:56

why they want to hey guys could you guys

1:58

chill out just a little bit okay I asked

2:00

you to be super quiet and and I can't

2:02

really concentrate thank you uh anyway

2:05

uh they they are just corporate

2:07

profiteers and they want to hire quote

2:10

unquote slaves from India and cheap

2:12

slave labor for 60 70,000 a year so that

2:17

way they can pad their corporate profits

2:20

and make more money basically and these

2:23

sort of arguments are really offending

2:25

obviously people like mosque and VI and

2:28

you know there have been allegations

2:30

that musk can get a little some people

2:31

say sensitive when you know things are

2:34

said about him on social media musk has

2:36

talked about this himself where he sort

2:38

of blamed his childhood and uh anyway

2:41

this kind of gets off into a tangent it

2:43

doesn't matter so much but the point is

2:45

apparently Laurel lumer yeah lummer has

2:48

now been uh suspended from X for 24

2:50

hours for doxing somebody's campaign

2:53

donations which seemed unrelated from

2:55

this whole debate that was going on uh

2:57

her blue check mark was also put under

2:59

review on X uh she alleges because she

3:03

criticized Elon Musk uh there are some

3:05

other accounts like conservative OG that

3:08

says they lost their gold badge in this

3:10

drama as well which led folks to claim

3:13

that basically Elon is now censoring

3:14

free speech to which other people say

3:16

what do you mean and taking away a badge

3:18

doesn't prevent you from talking but

3:20

then people counter and say yeah but if

3:22

you take away the blue badge you're

3:23

taking away their monetization and

3:24

you're basically demonetizing them for

3:26

saying something you don't like so I as

3:29

you could say like see here I'm not

3:30

trying to take a sight on on this but I

3:32

just want you to see how extreme this

3:34

has gotten because a lot of folks that

3:37

are pro Trump have up to this point all

3:40

pretty much been on the same side as far

3:43

as you could really tell but now you're

3:45

seeing this real Rift where on one side

3:47

you kind of have like your Nationalist

3:50

trumpers and then on the other side you

3:53

have the corporate trumpers if you will

3:55

so it's kind of like corporate versus

3:58

whatever it is got to be American okay

4:01

we we'll break this down a little bit

4:03

more so a lot of this drama actually

4:05

started when Donald Trump chose an

4:08

indianamerican he's a US citizen so it's

4:11

technically an American you know I mean

4:12

like if I'm going to call myself an

4:14

American he's an American why because

4:16

well I was born in Germany right I came

4:18

here and I got a green card I went

4:19

through the days of the ins uh and then

4:22

I became a legal citizen after years and

4:25

then only after I became a legal citizen

4:27

did I actually get married uh became a

4:29

citizen before I get married just worth

4:31

noting but anyway a lot of this drama

4:32

started because Donald Trump appointed

4:34

shim krishnam I probably butchered his

4:37

name but anyway as the White House

4:38

senior policy adviser for artificial

4:40

intelligence alongside David Sachs is

4:43

sort of an advisor and outside of a real

4:46

political uh position and this person

4:48

again born in India where we have you

4:51

know in America a lot obviously of

4:53

Indian workers in uh Tech but also in

4:56

leadership positions I mean just look

4:58

around at corporations we got a lot of

5:00

Corporations LED uh by indian-americans

5:03

and I'm not saying there's anything

5:04

wrong with it but what people are doing

5:07

is they're saying oh my gosh Americans

5:10

are being replaced by Indians and then

5:13

there's this counterargument that's like

5:14

wait whoa whoa wait wait a minute what

5:16

do you mean Americans are being replaced

5:19

by Indians these Indians are also

5:22

American and then it sort of opens up

5:23

this can of worms of like okay well what

5:25

is an American like how many generations

5:27

do you have to be here to be called an

5:28

American because if they're not an

5:30

American then I'm not an American either

5:32

remember I was born in Germany so I'm

5:35

technically I mean I guess those two

5:37

boys over there those knuckleheads Tech

5:40

what's up I guess technically they're uh

5:42

they're first gen Americans still half

5:45

German buddy and go practice

5:48

german yes I'm yeah there you

5:51

go all right anyway so uh this person uh

5:55

look he's actually got a pretty colorful

5:57

career he came back he came out here in

5:59

20 7 through an L1 Visa which is an

6:01

inter company transfer via Microsoft so

6:04

he's working for Microsoft you know and

6:06

obviously now people on the internet are

6:07

doing the whole Microsoft technical

6:09

support kind of like you know stuff I

6:11

mean there's honestly just a lot of

6:13

racism going on out there but anyway uh

6:16

this guy works for in horowits you know

6:18

these are like the bigly VCS he's been

6:20

an entrepreneur he's an author he's

6:22

worked for Microsoft Twitter Yahoo

6:24

Facebook snap he's worked with Elon on

6:25

Rebrand ax yeah he was born in India but

6:28

he he you know his dad to get him a

6:30

computer when he was young and learned

6:32

to code you know like he's Pro green

6:34

cards uh like he is he's kind of pretty

6:38

self-made from what I can tell like this

6:40

I don't know much about him but it kind

6:42

of seems inspiring he came here worked

6:44

hard it seems like uh and and he got

6:46

pretty far but now you've got people

6:49

posting things like do you really want

6:51

Indians running America and and then

6:54

people are like what shouldn't this be

6:56

about who has the best Merit rather than

6:59

the color of the skin or where they were

7:01

born you know like I personally still

7:03

think it's kind of crazy that you have

7:05

to have been born in America to be

7:07

president of the United States because

7:09

you don't get to choose where you were

7:11

born just like you don't get to choose

7:12

the color of your skin but anyway

7:14

whatever uh so anyway so it appears

7:16

there's a lot of this drama going on

7:18

about him being a foreigner but again

7:21

he's a US citizen so there are trending

7:23

posts now that are basically saying

7:25

things like do not remove caps on H1B

7:28

visas because we don't want more

7:31

h-1bs well we only have like 60 to

7:33

880,000 h-1bs a year which is a fraction

7:37

of the applications that this program

7:38

gets which gets somewhere around

7:40

according to USCIS uh somewhere around

7:42

400,000 applications a year but there

7:44

are complaints about there being too

7:46

many Indians or you know already too

7:48

many h-1bs Canada did it and now they

7:52

have too many immigrants and we should

7:54

just remove h-1bs in total and that what

7:57

really we should be doing is focusing on

7:58

American equity in other words American

8:01

fairness rather than allowing

8:03

corporations to use cheap slave labor to

8:06

replace you we should be focusing on

8:08

American fairness by giving all

8:11

Americans that chance so what does that

8:14

potentially mean well that potentially

8:18

means uh getting rid of the H1B process

8:21

all in all uh and only hiring people out

8:24

of American colleges in fact Tucker

8:26

Carlson says the H1B process robs

8:28

American college students of an

8:30

opportunity in America because you're

8:33

basically using a tricky Lottery system

8:36

that only has an application window 14

8:39

days out of the year and then it has a 2

8:41

to eight month process with it basically

8:44

it's so complicated to go through the

8:46

process you really only have

8:48

corporations who are able to get h-1bs

8:51

in because they're familiar with the H1B

8:55

process so you have basically massive

8:58

corporations who are able to take

8:59

advantage of that lower paid potential

9:02

worker whereas maybe small businesses

9:05

don't have the experience or money or

9:06

resources to use that process so small

9:09

businesses aren't the ones benefiting

9:11

and this is kind of where you enhance

9:12

that corporate issue you guys are so

9:14

loud I hear like everything you're

9:16

saying uh uh if you can though guys

9:19

please be a little quieter I'm telling

9:20

thank you uh so uh what's kind of wild

9:23

is if if the H1B process was available

9:27

to all businesses then maybe small

9:29

medium and large businesses could

9:31

benefit which technically it is but it's

9:33

such a legally involved process and you

9:35

got to wait so long for that worker to

9:37

show up that it's kind of hard for small

9:39

businesses to use the process I've tried

9:41

using it before in the past too and it's

9:44

kind of like dang this is really

9:46

complicated I don't think we can pull it

9:47

off and we just we never did because

9:49

we're just not that big of a company and

9:51

we're like all right never mind I guess

9:53

that's not going to work so anyway uh

9:55

like don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of

9:57

hiring American but I'm Al a big fan of

10:00

like hey like if I have a relationship

10:02

with somebody who lives outside of the

10:04

country and we can help them with a

10:06

solid job and housing or whatever else

10:09

great uh but then I also understand that

10:12

flip argument of well why not hire

10:14

American right so you kind of see the

10:16

two sides and Duality and I'll give you

10:19

my opinion on this and potential

10:21

solution in just a moment but what I

10:24

kind of see right now is you have this

10:26

Rift amongst uh people who seem to be

10:29

very very uh anti- Dei when it comes to

10:33

lgbtq so think about this let's just

10:35

assume for a moment that everybody

10:38

making this argument is anti- Dei for

10:41

you know

10:43

lgbtq or woke or whatever people say

10:46

okay and I'm not here saying that people

10:49

should be anti-equality or equal

10:52

opportunity for lgbtq I'm just saying it

10:54

seems like this is a group where

10:56

everybody seems to be in agreement that

10:58

oh they're anti like diversity equity

11:00

and inclusion but now there's a riff

11:03

that's formed and you actually have two

11:06

types of Dei so I'm calling it The anti-

11:10

Dei absolutist that's one group and

11:14

that's sort of your musk and Viv these

11:15

are the folks that are like only hire

11:18

the most qualified people that's it no

11:22

diversity or skin color or race none of

11:25

that is considered at all then you have

11:28

the other side side of the anti- Dei

11:30

camp and they kind of seem to be more

11:33

anti-di so like anti-diversity inclusion

11:37

but they want Equity they want equity

11:39

for Americans so basically hire American

11:42

and that's it okay but again like what's

11:44

an American this is sort of your

11:46

nationalistic Dei like no Dei but you

11:50

must hire American so it's like okay

11:53

okay okay okay got it so so you want

11:56

Equity amongst Americans anyway there's

11:58

probably better way to describe that

12:00

Rift but those are the two groups you

12:02

have so again on the corporate

12:04

absolutist ant the anti-de absolutist

12:07

side you have a vake and uh a musk and

12:11

you even have people like Patrick B

12:12

David Patrick B David chimes in and says

12:15

so you want me not to hire a high-

12:18

performing hardworking skilled Indian

12:20

and you want me to hire an American even

12:22

if that person is not capable lacks

12:24

skills and is entitled oh so you support

12:27

Dei all right so the problem with that

12:30

is Patrick B David basically says there

12:32

are only two options hire somebody not

12:34

qualified or hire somebody qualified and

12:37

foreign right so not qualified American

12:40

foreign and qualified but that's that

12:43

that is sort of um uh like an apples to

12:47

Orange compare apples to oranges

12:49

comparison you're you're not really

12:51

creating a fair comparison here and

12:52

don't you be wrong I respect Patrick but

12:54

David but let's be real here you could

12:56

be in a situation where you have

12:59

a highly qualified Foreigner and a

13:03

highly qualified American which makes

13:07

the situation a little bit more blurry

13:10

because then it's like okay do you put

13:12

him to a test do you put him to a

13:16

competition or do you always go for the

13:18

American well Elon Musk kind of responds

13:21

to this and he argues and says well we

13:23

should skim the top .1% of

13:27

workers like maybe graduates of schools

13:31

or colleges or whatever and that we

13:34

shouldn't allow anybody with a degree to

13:36

apply for an H1B but rather it should be

13:39

competitive rather than a random

13:41

Monopoly process so that way you could

13:43

actually find the best talent see musk

13:45

and VI believe that in order for America

13:47

to remain competitive you have to have

13:49

the best talent here in America by

13:51

attracting that Talent from all across

13:54

the world to America the vake says hey

13:58

the reason we hire foreign workers is

14:00

because our system and culture is broken

14:03

we need to replace the entire H1B system

14:06

because companies find that Americans

14:10

have an IQ deficit and basically it's a

14:13

lazy culture so this has pissed a lot of

14:16

people off because they're like wait a

14:17

minute now you're calling Americans lazy

14:19

but he does say our culture has

14:21

celebrated jocks and prom queens over

14:23

math olympiads or valedictorians the V

14:27

says that we have created a culture at

14:29

least since the 90s that has promoted

14:32

mediocrity and he says normal and

14:35

showing up to get your participation

14:37

trophy or your be in your class or

14:39

whatever that's just not going to cut it

14:40

in a competitive world anymore and it's

14:42

time for culture to wake up so until

14:45

then hire the hardest working most

14:47

qualified people wherever they're from

14:49

Patrick B David kind of argues this and

14:51

goes yeah I was an Iranian immigrant

14:53

willing to work 80 hour weeks and that's

14:56

why he says he was able to succeed and

14:59

in other words Patrick M David is making

15:00

this argument of like hey we should let

15:02

other people try to succeed as well Jack

15:05

would you mind not messing with the safe

15:06

at the moment of course social media

15:09

then immediately went to the extreme and

15:11

says it turns out the waste that the

15:13

department of governmental efficiency

15:15

wanted to cut from America was actually

15:18

Americans okay all right so this is

15:21

where you could see that things just on

15:23

social media get really ridiculously

15:25

extreme and frankly I think there there

15:27

is a simple solution to all of this uh

15:31

okay actually no there's never really a

15:33

simple solution to all of this but

15:35

here's my take on this okay my take is

15:39

we have to look at the first and

15:41

foremost problem the first and foremost

15:44

problem is that we are not educating

15:47

Americans the way we should that's my

15:50

take I ran for governor under that

15:53

believe in the state of California that

15:54

our schools suck it's not your fault

15:58

it's it's not your neighbor's fault it's

16:01

not the dude at Walmart's

16:04

fault it's frankly all of the

16:07

generations of leaders who were in

16:09

charge of our schooling before us who

16:12

gave us a kind of crap school system and

16:15

that sucks and I'm not here to try to

16:17

point the finger you know I've actually

16:18

tried to run for government to try to

16:20

help solve these problems because I

16:23

think everybody has a point but let's go

16:25

to the root of the problem if we had

16:28

look we are the best economy in the

16:29

world by a factor of two and if our K

16:32

through 12 schools in America were the

16:34

absolute best product in the world with

16:37

no close second just like we're the best

16:41

economy in the world by two what if we

16:43

had the best schools in the world by a

16:44

factor of two no close second then what

16:48

well we wouldn't be debating immigration

16:50

for talent because we'd be swimming in

16:52

talent in the United States and look I'm

16:55

not saying we aren't there is a lot of

16:57

talent in the United States but let's

16:59

say let's all we can all agree this we

17:01

can all agree on this our schools leave

17:03

something to be desired unless you have

17:05

a lot of money and you can send your

17:06

kids to a bunch of like you know prep

17:07

schools or private schools or boarding

17:09

schools or whatever I'm not sure people

17:10

want to go to that anyway it's kind of

17:12

impossible to compete with what some

17:16

other countries are doing in educating

17:17

their talent to be hyperco competitive

17:20

so yes our immigration system is

17:23

broken absolutely we should be fixing

17:25

our immigration system in fact this is

17:28

why you have some people saying hey like

17:30

if you want to attract the best talent

17:31

get rich rid of the H1B process and go

17:34

for 01 visas which basically only allow

17:36

people in with extraordinary Talent as

17:39

opposed to h-1bs which allow people in

17:41

with any you know with any specialty in

17:43

stem you know basically any Tech job uh

17:47

and and engineering and Mathematics and

17:49

Sciences right which which is a whole

17:50

host of different things and you don't

17:53

have to meet any kind of specific

17:54

criteria of talent you just sort of

17:57

lottery in and that's why people like

17:59

well if you lottery in and you didn't

18:00

even get in through competitiveness or

18:02

extraordinary Talent then you are just

18:04

robbing Americans of those jobs and

18:06

replacing them with cheaper labor I kind

18:08

of get that argument because you know

18:10

Patrick M David is like wait a minute

18:12

you're saying I should hire a less

18:13

qualified American who's entitled versus

18:15

you know someone with an H H1B Visa

18:18

who's you know hyper qualified but wait

18:20

a minute that's not what the H1B Visa

18:22

process is about H1B process doesn't

18:25

filter by the best

18:29

so that's kind of where this debate is

18:31

coming from so yeah look it's all broken

18:33

I totally agree it's broken you want to

18:36

say something come here are you gonna

18:38

compete in this world are you gonna work

18:40

hard and compete yeah good answer what

18:43

about you

18:44

Max he's bowling he's practicing his

18:47

competition right now aren't you taking

18:48

bowling lessons by the way so you can

18:50

compete yeah and golf lessons yeah nice

18:54

170 nice Max um taking League now too

18:58

huh

18:59

good for you man babies babies yeah yeah

19:02

you love your your babies we have five

19:05

babies at home uh all right anyway so I

19:07

wanted to get this out uh mostly because

19:09

I think it's it's pretty important to to

19:13

to try to provide some neutral Insight

19:17

on this because uh you know in my

19:19

opinion I I don't think my position is

19:21

very controversial to be Pro schools I

19:24

do see uh that social media as usual has

19:28

some real extremes you know there are

19:30

some extremes that are just straight up

19:31

racist there are some extremes that are

19:33

way extreme to the other opposite end

19:35

which are probably anti-American uh and

19:38

then there are reasonable arguments in

19:40

the middle which can be pro-american

19:43

which can be pro-school which can be

19:45

pro-legal immigration pro- highly

19:47

qualified immigration uh and Achieve

19:51

basically everything everybody's asking

19:52

for I know that sounds crazy but I

19:54

actually don't think it's that hard to

19:55

fix this to where you could hire non

19:58

entitled hardworking people who are in

20:02

the top

20:03

.01% uh who you know it doesn't matter

20:06

really what the color of their skin is

20:08

or their race or whatever if they've got

20:10

the talent they you know they can

20:11

compete and basically what we should be

20:14

doing is just giving Americans the best

20:16

leg up so like I don't think Tucker

20:19

Carlson is wrong when he says that our

20:21

students in America have been robbed you

20:24

like because you know when people

20:26

graduate school they have to compete

20:29

with potentially lower waged

20:31

h-1bs but In fairness is it the H1B

20:35

robbing them or the the schools just not

20:39

make us as competitive as we should have

20:41

been well honestly it's probably a

20:44

combination of both and that's why I

20:46

think you got to solve both ends anyway

20:50

uh that's my take I just haven't heard

20:52

anybody else talk about like how broken

20:54

education is in America so hopefully we

20:57

can get a little bit more more of that

20:59

sort of discussion going anyway I got to

21:01

hang out with the kids which I'm excited

21:03

to because we've got a big weekend you

21:05

ready buddy what are we doing this

21:09

weekend fin this uh yes bring me your

21:12

glass oh rinse your glass in the

21:14

bathroom if you don't mind Max you can

21:15

have some Topo Chico as well rinse your

21:17

glass what's up Max rinse your glass in

21:20

the bathroom and then I'll pour you some

21:21

Topo Chico okay I want too Chico okay

21:24

21:27

21:31

21:35
