everyone me Kevin here I don't usually

0:01

make videos like this but I hope that

0:03

there are a lot of things you can learn

0:05

in this video about Not only motivation

0:07

but success and getting through hard

0:10

times and struggles so let's just start

0:14

where everybody's really frustrated the

0:17

fed the FED reality is that we don't

0:20

have control over the FED it's kind of

0:22

like that feeling of being on a plane

0:23

and there's turbulence or you hear like

0:25

a weird sound when you're a pilot you're

0:27

like no biggie like I can see everything

0:31

that's going on I know everything's good

0:32

I got all the little indicators he's

0:34

good but everybody behind is like oh my

0:37

gosh what the heck is going on I I kind

0:40

of think that's how the FED is today and

0:44

unfortunately that leads to a lot of

0:46

fear and quite frankly depression for a

0:49

lot of the people in the back and the

0:50

people in the back those are Americans

0:53

those are people around the world who

0:55

are like what the hell like rates are so

0:59

high things are so expensive inflation

1:02

has taken such a toll on pricing and yes

1:06

we know that maybe going forward

1:08

inflation should be lower it doesn't

1:11

mean prices are going to get lower

1:13

things are still hard and it's harder to

1:15

sell things because people have less

1:18

money and that sucks ultimately we then

1:22

kind of look at our own situation we

1:24

like hm my money's going less far it's

1:28

harder for me to get ahead because

1:30

everything I want to do costs more money

1:33

it's harder to get educated to do

1:35

something like it's certainly harder to

1:37

take on student loan debt or justify

1:39

that or even just to sign up for

1:41

practice tests to try to get a new

1:43

license or something all of that costs

1:45

more the opportunity costs are more

1:47

valuable on top of that it's harder to

1:50

actually sell new goods and services

1:53

because everybody is feeling the same

1:55

kind of crimp so any business owner or

1:58

entrepreneur is kind of frustrated right

2:00

now it's nearly impossible to raise

2:03

money knock on wood still doing great

2:04

with house Haack I'm just saying like in

2:05

the whole Venture Capital World we'll

2:07

talk more about house and mon Venture

2:09

Capital world is stalling not only that

2:13

but people who are employees have to

2:15

deal with owners or managers who are

2:19

more frustrated because maybe it's

2:21

harder for them to meet payroll maybe

2:24

it's harder for them

2:26

to cut costs because there's a limit to

2:28

how much you could cut cost us despite

2:30

the fact that it's harder to sell things

2:32

these are tough times like the tough

2:35

times sadly might just be getting

2:37

started and that's probably the scariest

2:40

part we think oh but rates have been

2:42

going up for 18 months yeah but we all

2:45

had a big cushion you know I brought

2:47

this pillow here it's a down pillow and

2:50

it's kind of like you know on this side

2:53

you got the pilot or jpow going all

2:56

right boys we're going to hit some

2:57

turbulence and you're like no problem

2:59

I'm ready

3:02

you know like all right big deal I got

3:03

my cushion but after hitting it so much

3:06

that cushion is kind of turning into a

3:07

rock you know the cushions going away

3:10

and so what you're left with now is kind

3:12

of like ow ow you know like what the

3:15

heck all right now now it's starting to

3:17

hurt so that's kind of the lag we talk

3:20

about in monetary policy the problem is

3:23

that leads to more depression and more

3:26

feeling of struggle because you can

3:30

like it let's put it this way in America

3:33

we like to feel that the harder I work

3:36

the luckier I get right that's like the

3:39

Mantra of

3:41

America but what's the reality in this

3:43

environment that we're in right now well

3:46

it's I used to work hard and I got lucky

3:49

now I'm working five times as hard and

3:52

I'm getting half or a quarter as

3:55

lucky right so it's like wait a minute

3:58

it used to be one for one now it's like

4:01

5 to a quarter this is not fair this

4:05

sucks uh and so this is where what I'm

4:07

finding in dealing with contractors 99%

4:12

of them are great 1% are total lame but

4:15

that's true in every industry 99% are

4:17

wonderful 99% of the Realtors were're

4:19

working with are wonderful of course the

4:21

problems in every part of the business

4:22

world right uh

4:24

99% of of the efforts of everyone are

4:27

are good intentions and people are

4:29

trying to do their best but the problem

4:31

is you go into an environment like this

4:34

everyone's getting a little more tense

4:37

and I think that's ultimately what

4:39

Jerome Powell is trying to get everybody

4:41

to because even if Jerome Powell is

4:44

sitting there which I believe they sit

4:45

in their Ivory Tower like this we know

4:48

inflation is like forward inflation is

4:52

gone we know prices have come up a lot

4:53

but our job is not bringing prices down

4:55

our job is stable prices so I think the

4:57

FED is sitting there Ivory Tower gun

5:00

we have stable prices yes but we can't

5:03

tell anyone that yet because as soon as

5:05

we do prices will become unstable again

5:07

so we'll just keep pooping on all the

5:09

people all the plebs and it's like must

5:13

be nice to be the FED with the power of

5:15

the money printer it's probably the most

5:17

powerful institution in the world it's

5:18

it's insane it finances Wars it finances

5:21

the incentives for stimulus for for ESG

5:24

for Ev for whatever you want politics

5:28

you know it all flows through this it's

5:30

insane so problem is as a normal

5:33

hardworking American we are now bearing

5:37

the brunt and this could get harder of

5:41

oh this is what they mean by inflation

5:45

expectations they literally want us to

5:48

expect that oh they're they're going to

5:51

keep doing this until not only it hurts

5:54

but it like bleeds and break bone breaks

5:57

bones and keeps going that's a risk and

6:00

it's something that we kind of have to

6:01

look at and start preparing

6:04

for of course that doesn't limit the

6:07

fact that we have a lot of other things

6:09

going on in all of our own lives none of

6:11

us are solely waking up every day caring

6:14

about the Federal Reserve I'll give an

6:16

example I'm trying my best to dedicate

6:19

more time as sort of what I call uh solo

6:23

daddy Sun Trips so I'll give you an

6:25

example oh here's a picture by the way

6:27

of Max uh sitting by the coffee machine

6:30

when we were making coffee in the

6:31

morning but uh I want to show you some

6:33

pictures here these pictures are just

6:36

Jack and Kevin and what we did is we

6:39

just did a little daddy Sun trip and the

6:41

reality is I want to you know do

6:44

whatever I can to work hard and keep

6:47

working uh and the harder we work these

6:50

times it's sort of like okay we're we're

6:52

working harder and we're getting less

6:54

Lucky in things but that doesn't take

6:56

away from the fact that we want to do

6:57

everything we can to make make sure

6:59

we're still there for our family because

7:01

really that's what matters like here's

7:04

Jack fearful about going on one of these

7:07

big slides that has that sudden drop off

7:09

at the top but I convinced him to go on

7:11

it and he got you know he was I had to

7:14

bribe him with the Legos but it worked

7:16

out uh here's us having What I Call Wine

7:18

together in the hotel at night right the

7:21

I think these things are really

7:22

important but they do these these occur

7:25

in everyone's lives whether it's your

7:27

time with your mom or your dad or your

7:30

son or your daughter or your girlfriend

7:32

or your boyfriend or even just your

7:34

co-workers because those are your your

7:36

friends and like your family

7:38

right we can't work so hard while at the

7:42

same time getting less results just

7:45

because of timing timing is rough and

7:48

then just keep working hard to the point

7:50

where we're not taking time for the

7:53

people around us and so one of the ways

7:55

that I found to sort of balance this

7:58

because it's really difficult ult to try

8:00

to work really hard but then balance

8:02

time for everyone one of the ways I

8:04

found is there's a difference between

8:06

being present and being present no that

8:10

sounds complicated but basically it's

8:12

really easy to say I'mma Be there and

8:15

you're sort of like in the living room

8:16

with your family all day long but you're

8:18

on the computer and you're walking away

8:20

to do phone calls and your mind is

8:22

really on studying or office work or

8:25

whatever it is there's a difference

8:27

between doing that for let's say 40

8:29

hours a week and taking a 16-hour day

8:34

where you go breakfast lunch dinner fun

8:37

travel Parks everything together with

8:40

one person those 16 hours of pure

8:42

quality time where you're not distracted

8:44

by your phone or something else that's

8:46

worth more than the 40 hours of

8:48

distracted time so what I've done in my

8:51

life is and I'm not perfect about this

8:53

but I've tried to become much more

8:55

intentional with my time when I'm doing

8:57

something I'm turning off the the other

8:59

distractions I've actually found my

9:02

phone to be extremely unproductive and

9:05

think about it you need to send an email

9:07

you're typing on your phone at like 25

9:09

words per minute you have a keyboard and

9:11

you know how to type you know you're

9:13

typing 80 to 120 words per minute it

9:15

goes fast way I mean just that

9:17

practicality alone is way faster when

9:19

you need to do accounting or QuickBooks

9:21

or receipts scanning documents bill pay

9:23

whatever it's all easier on your

9:25

computer yes is it possible remotely on

9:28

your phone sure but then you're dealing

9:30

with connection issues and everything's

9:32

slower and you're switching apps and

9:33

it's harder to do that on the phone or

9:35

you're hotspotting and this is slow and

9:37

that's slow like it's all trash you know

9:39

people are like oh you know you could do

9:40

it on plane Wi-Fi bro you can't do

9:42

anything on Plain Wi-Fi you know it's

9:45

like there there's a time and place for

9:48

everything and the more intentional you

9:50

are the more capable you're able to be

9:52

and the more micro successes you're able

9:54

to have and see that's something else

9:56

that I think is really important is for

9:58

me I look at you know this trip that I

10:00

had with Jack uh as sort of like a micro

10:03

success oh this is them in the living

10:05

room as as a a micro success of okay

10:08

like let's do more of that those are the

10:10

things that I want to look forward to

10:12

here's an example of where I did this

10:14

with Max the week before so one weekend

10:16

it was Jack's turn then the other

10:18

weekend it was Max's Turn This Is Us at

10:20

Sushi together you know reading Lego

10:22

magazines together uh what what you know

10:24

going to the LEGO store as well playing

10:26

Legos in the hotel room here he is

10:29

asleep cute guy uh anyway uh but

10:33

here yeah here's him being uh uh uh I

10:37

don't know what he

10:38

is oh here he

10:43

comes yeah the these These are great

10:47

things I think that we should all look

10:48

forward to and we should try to be

10:50

intentional about this but beyond

10:53

this we have to have Micro wins and

10:55

micro successes in order to feel like it

10:58

makes sense to keep going so how do you

11:00

do this maybe without children well give

11:03

an example you might look at the stock

11:06

market and be like this is freaking

11:07

depressing and it's just like you just

11:08

kind of want to like drink a beer or I

11:11

don't know for some people maybe it's

11:12

smoke or it's just go to sleep or not

11:14

get out of bed or whatever it is right

11:16

it's really depressing uh but there's

11:18

nothing you can do about that like

11:19

there's we talked about this already

11:21

before the fight ORF flight and the

11:22

stock market sure you could sell

11:23

everything is that the right thing to do

11:24

to be emotional kind of him haha are you

11:26

going to trade are you going to turn

11:28

your entire investing thesis upside down

11:30

because you know of some temporary

11:31

Market fluctuations better thing to do

11:33

in my opinion is focus on micro

11:35

successes so micro successes are

11:38

something that I like to do with like

11:39

test practice for example so right now

11:41

I'm studying for a series 27 an siie and

11:44

a series 14 these These are big tests

11:46

they're hard and what I like to do is if

11:49

I know I have to sit there and take you

11:50

know 120 question test practice test I'm

11:54

probably not going to do it like it's

11:55

it's a pain in the butt I don't like to

11:56

do it so instead what I like to do is

11:58

I'd rather take like 10 to 20 little 10

12:01

question tests cuz I can bang those out

12:04

really quickly and then switch and it's

12:06

like okay I got a I got a win in like I

12:08

got that win in now I'm going to study a

12:10

little bit more I'm going to read a

12:11

little more material now I'm going to

12:12

take another one and that back and forth

12:14

leads to more micro successes which

12:16

makes me feel like okay great like I got

12:18

out of bed I'm having a little micro

12:20

test okay it's just 10 questions it's

12:22

not that hard just get out of bed but

12:24

now I'm going to go make a cup of coffee

12:25

and I'm going to take another micro test

12:27

right and that's really those microw

12:28

wins they work in a lot of things they

12:30

don't just work in practice tests they

12:32

don't just work with your family but

12:34

quite frankly they work in almost

12:35

everything little micro goals something

12:38

you could do as well to kind of trick

12:39

yourself with timing is set deadlines

12:41

like okay I'm going to meet this person

12:43

at a certain time like it's going to be

12:45

I'm going to give a hug to my spouse or

12:46

I'm going to you know go to the park

12:48

with my I don't know child for 20

12:50

minutes or I'm going to go meet someone

12:53

for coffee now all of a sudden the time

12:55

right before that deadline you're much

12:57

more productive when when you have

12:59

nothing on your calendar surprisingly it

13:01

tend to be highly unproductive so now

13:03

you have control though you're setting

13:05

these little micro deadlines I found I

13:06

find that very useful so these are like

13:08

little little things I find very useful

13:11

uh systems very very important as well I

13:14

mean look I'm running people get

13:16

confused by this so I I wanted to make a

13:17

little map and it has to do with you

13:19

know house hack

13:20

but I made this little chart and I think

13:23

it's an easier way to kind of explain

13:25

what I'm doing but basically this is my

13:28

system right now so I'm going to take a

13:30

little green pen here and explain this

13:32

so the community that's us right that's

13:35

us being able to share frustrations in

13:37

the comments I read your comments and

13:39

then I try to this is why I'm making

13:41

this video I try to help and I I I want

13:43

to add perspectives and provide value to

13:45

maybe how how you can improve so love

13:49

community that has enabled us to create

13:53

at a onetoone valuation a fund raise for

13:56

house hacks something that we think is

13:58

an incredible real estate startup it's

14:01

not a read it's it's a real estate

14:03

corporation that we think can have a

14:05

very great valuation in the future I

14:07

mean knock on door knock on the door we

14:08

can't guarantee that you should read the

14:10

offering circular be familiar with the

14:11

risks of investing with startups and

14:12

everything go to house act.com but that

14:15

house hack system will enable us to

14:18

create mini funds that's part of house

14:19

hack right these are house hack mini

14:22

funds so these are all the same

14:23

companies but in order to facilitate

14:26

this we're also running a secret project

14:30

outside of house hack that will also

14:32

help make this much easier for house

14:34

hack so that's why you know sometimes

14:37

people they're like oh Kevin here you

14:39

are doing YouTube and here you are doing

14:41

house hack and here you are getting

14:42

these Securities licenses they all are

14:45

laser focused on the same Mission I

14:48

can't have really any of these be the

14:52

greatest success they can be without the

14:53

others now if I start jump you know

14:56

throwing in there now now I'm going to

14:58

become a professional Fisher man you

15:00

know it has nothing at all to do well

15:02

then that's a problem that's a

15:03

distraction and so that's worth bringing

15:06

up it's really important to cut out

15:08

distractions and again be intentional so

15:11

and and I I hate saying this but you

15:14

know a lot of people and a lot of times

15:16

we get told you look you want to have a

15:18

happier life you got to say yes just say

15:20

yes to everything yes I'll do that yes

15:22

I'll help you with that yes I'll go do

15:24

that chore for you yes I'll go on that

15:27

trip uh yes whatever you want to be a

15:29

yes man you know a yes person you want

15:30

to say yes to

15:32

everything but that's impossible if you

15:35

want to be focused on your laser

15:37

anything that is not focused on your

15:39

laser going forward you kind of have to

15:42

say no to unless you have your own stuff

15:44

together and so for me my laser is house

15:48

hack and mini funds and building our

15:50

community all of those are laser

15:53

together they all support each other

15:55

because all of those aspects of house

15:57

hack work in conjunction with our

15:59

community and vice versa so that

16:01

intentionality is super useful some

16:03

other things that are really useful as

16:06

well I found surprisingly sleeping more

16:10

maybe unsurprisingly for many is

16:12

actually really useful because you could

16:14

be much more productive during the day

16:17

there are times where it's like oh yeah

16:19

I can sleep 5 hours a day and I can

16:21

function but I would rather cut out and

16:25

again say no to something like oh let's

16:27

go do an escape room at you know 8:00

16:31

and go for a drink or whatever it's it's

16:33

so easy to always say yes to that but if

16:36

you always say yes to that you break

16:37

routines and routines are already so

16:39

hard to stay consistent with so I'd

16:42

rather go to sleep by say 9 and then

16:45

wake up at 4: that gives me 7 hours if I

16:48

can get S and a half hours is great now

16:51

the next day everything I do is much

16:54

more efficient it's really incredible

16:56

when you when you rob sleep Beyond say 7

17:00

hours you start going into five six

17:01

hours your actual output declines so

17:06

you're awake for more hours but maybe

17:08

let's say you only got a 100 tasks done

17:11

where if you had slept the extra 2 hours

17:13

you would have gotten 200 tasks done so

17:15

now all of a sudden your output is

17:17

exponentially higher when you actually

17:20

have enough energy to do that and that's

17:22

where basic things like a little bit of

17:25

cardio and really good nutrition or

17:28

super useful as well I'll give you an

17:30

example with this so if I wake up at you

17:34

know 4:00 but I was up until midnight

17:38

let's say or 11:00 that next day I find

17:41

myself kind of staring at the computer I

17:43

know I got to do let's say a practice

17:45

test right and I'm staring at it with a

17:47

coffee mug

17:49

going and so all of a sudden it's like

17:51

it takes me 3 minutes to answer the

17:53

question instead of one so I'm answering

17:56

questions 33% as fast because I decided

17:59

to Rob 2 hours out of the day uh to give

18:02

myself two more waking hours to work but

18:04

2 hours out of the day is 8% of the day

18:07

so I'm getting 8% but I'm losing you

18:10

know 67% productivity that's insane it

18:13

doesn't make sense it's not a good

18:16

tradeoff now until we actually think

18:18

about it that way it's like dang never

18:20

thought about it that way we don't

18:22

actually value sleep just like we don't

18:24

value nutrition and give you an example

18:26

you want to you want to prove how

18:28

important nutrition is it's actually one

18:30

of the new verse Pro courses that we

18:31

have for sale go check them out there

18:33

are ton of new ver Pro courses that give

18:35

some really good perspective uh all of

18:37

those uh will be released uh shortly

18:39

after Black Friday before the end of the

18:41

year so in that sort of time frame and

18:43

the price will probably be double by the

18:45

time they they come out that's the

18:46

expectation but anyway I'll give you

18:48

another example you want to prove how

18:49

important nutrition is go uh wake up you

18:54

know you let's say you have work to do

18:56

at 8 and you know usually in the morning

18:59

we're really competent right we're

19:01

capable don't don't like skip your food

19:05

in the morning or whatever so let's say

19:06

you woke up at 600 7 8 whatever you go

19:09

to work at 800 or 9: something like that

19:11

1 hour after you go to work not 2:00 not

19:15

lunchtime okay none of that 1 hour after

19:19

you get to work when you should be in

19:20

like that really high productivity State

19:22

purpose is you should be most alert and

19:25

most capable right when you're starting

19:27

like an hour into your work when you're

19:29

in that groove right go to Red Robin get

19:33

a double burger like you know double

19:37

Patty I want you to load up on saturated

19:40

fat

19:41

cheese red meat have some french fries

19:45

throw some mayo on there you don't have

19:48

to eat it all I don't want you to stuff

19:50

yourself there's a purpose of this don't

19:51

stuff yourself so don't eat at all but

19:53

just eat enough to where you feel full

19:55

okay then put the rest down point is now

19:57

you filled yourself up with nearly pure

20:01

saturated fats obviously there's some

20:03

carbs and protein in there but that's

20:05

not going to matter more than the

20:07

saturated fats you just gave yourself

20:09

saturated fats affect every single cell

20:13

in your body they tense up your cell

20:17

membranes throughout your entire body

20:20

and guess what you will probably feel

20:22

within an hour to 2 hours sleepy groggy

20:27

tired

20:28

inefficient

20:30

incapable everything shuts down when you

20:32

eat trash whereas like you know I feel

20:36

pretty good right now about an hour ago

20:38

I had like half a sack of these I

20:40

probably feel just as full you know this

20:43

has 11 this has this whole bag is

20:47

330 calories that's insane that's like

20:51

three bites of a hamburger of the double

20:53

cheese hamburger I explained but uh you

20:55

know I probably had a pound of these so

20:57

I feel pretty PR dang full and I know I

20:59

probably at overate on them but there's

21:03

no bad feeling that comes with eating

21:06

veggies or fruit other than maybe a

21:09

little bit of fullness if you ate too

21:10

much but it doesn't slow you down it

21:11

doesn't affect your cell membranes so

21:13

it's fascinating because these are

21:15

little things little refinements through

21:18

your life that can make that struggle

21:20

the struggle of that lack of control of

21:22

the FED easier because now you're making

21:24

micro wins and if you can micro win

21:26

guess what you're doing you're trying

21:29

where everybody else is not it is so

21:31

much easier to just roll back in bed and

21:34

give up because the market sucks or the

21:36

FED sucks you just give up why bother

21:38

getting a license it's all rigged why

21:40

bother trying it's all going to fail why

21:43

bother making money the dollar is going

21:44

to go to zero you can make excuses all

21:47

freaking day long but you know what I

21:48

like to do I like to listen to everybody

21:50

making those excuses and I like to say

21:53

thank you thank you for making the

21:55

excuses because if you make the excuses

21:57

that means I can succeed more and so

21:59

that's what I really want to encourage

22:01

all of my viewers to think about and

22:03

thank you for being part of this

22:04

community too but I want everybody to

22:05

really think about that is the more

22:07

intentional you can be during hard times

22:10

when everybody else is struggling as

22:12

well not saying you're not struggling

22:13

but everybody else is struggling as well

22:15

you start

22:17

winning not necessarily right away but

22:21

in 2 years from now when you've been

22:23

working your butt off being intentional

22:26

and being really refined about

22:27

everything we've talked about here and

22:29

everybody else just rolled around back

22:30

into bed because they were depressed

22:32

about the market you'll actually be able

22:34

to win while everybody else is like how

22:36

are you winning so much keep that and

22:39

good luck why not advertise these things

22:41

that you told us here I feel like nobody

22:42

else knows about this we we'll try a

22:44

little advertising and see how it goes

22:45

congratulations man you have done so

22:47

much people love you people look up to

22:49
