0:00

wow we have a lot to talk about

0:01

regarding Tesla we're going to talk

0:02

price targets evaluation we'll talk

0:04

earnings recession what's going on in

0:05

South Korea and some updates on musk

0:07

first though I want to announce that on

0:09

December 9th this is a really special

0:12

opportunity I am going to be able to

0:15

invite some of you to the stock exchange

0:18

both inside and outside so 4 P.M closing

0:23

bell mark your calendar December 9th if

0:27

you are a course member there is a form

0:30

in Discord that you can click on under

0:32

course member announcements and you can

0:34

enroll to actually come inside of the

0:36

building if you're not a course member

0:38

we'll be doing a meet-up outside or if

0:40

you don't get in we'll be doing a Meetup

0:41

outside so December 9th New York Stock

0:44

Exchange and really excited so stay

0:47

tuned or watch on TV that's gonna be

0:49

really fun so Tesla first of all uh Big

0:52

Wall Street bear just came out and

0:54

actually moved their sell position on

0:56

Tesla to neutral which even though their

0:59

price Target is only 100 176 dollars is

1:01

a big deal and one of the reasons we're

1:03

seeing this sort of shift is well in

1:05

their words they're suggesting that the

1:07

year-to-date pullback has balanced out

1:09

their near-term risk reward basically a

1:11

fancy way of saying hey we think a lot

1:13

of the excess fat of the valuation is

1:15

gone and now there's potentially a

1:17

moment of upside uh to come now one of

1:20

the reasons people say oh look look at

1:22

Justice evaluation now it's not actually

1:23

that bad anymore is because when you

1:25

look at the 2022 earnings estimates for

1:30

EPS you're actually at a valuation now

1:32

of under 50 uh that is a p e ratio of

1:35

under 50. and if their growth rate is 50

1:37

you're at a PEG ratio of under one which

1:41

is really really incredible but if you

1:43

look at 2023 estimates which are

1:45

basically the forward 13 month estimates

1:48

now your valuation actually goes to

1:50

under 30 on a p e ratio multiple this

1:54

this that's actually pretty freaking

1:56

incredible uh for Tesla so some really

1:58

neat upside there personally I've still

2:01

got my 550 price target for it I'll talk

2:04

about why I think Tesla's price has been

2:06

so depressed in just the last month for

2:09

example Tesla's down 20 percent there's

2:11

a special Catalyst for that while the s

2:13

p is rallied at six and a half percent

2:15

so a little bit of pain here uh but so

2:18

we'll also talk about sort of my

2:19

thoughts on earnings recession but I

2:20

want to hit this piece of news first and

2:22

that has to do with a Tesla South Korea

2:25

Elon Musk is now considering South Korea

2:27

as a top candidate for a new gigafactory

2:30

specifically for batteries and not only

2:33

for Batteries but also as a way to

2:35

diversify from Shanghai think about the

2:38

protests that are happening at Foxconn

2:40

that's causing Apple to have to delay

2:42

some of its iPhone shipment capabilities

2:44

and the last thing we want is Shanghai

2:48

to get locked down again there's a lot

2:49

of pressure on Tesla to use their excess

2:51

cash to do a stock buyback but what if

2:54

Shanghai gets shut down for all of 2023

2:57

and Tesla would have some substantial

2:59

problems ahead of it now it's got plenty

3:02

of cash it's got cash flow even with

3:04

Shanghai it had essentially had

3:07

operating cash flow although it was near

3:09

break even without Shanghai when you

3:10

look at the Investments they were making

3:12

in Berlin and and um at Austin Texas uh

3:15

but look the last thing we want is

3:17

another shutdown in Shanghai knock on

3:19

wood on that but see what's actually

3:21

kind of neat is an investment in South

3:24

Korea could be pretty dang brilliant for

3:27

the inflation reduction act what's

3:29

unique about South Korea is that we have

3:31

a a trade agreement a free trade

3:33

agreement with South Korea that was

3:34

entered into March 15th of 2012. That's

3:37

The Ides of March I'm a big fan of dates

3:39

by the way and not actually like dates

3:42

with women because the only dates I go

3:44

on are with my wife whom I've been with

3:47

forever but also the Black Friday date

3:50

which is in two days make sure you take

3:52

advantage of the 60 off coupon code any

3:55

program that you join will get you in to

3:57

the raffle just fill out that form one

3:59

once you've join keep in mind you get

4:01

lifetime access to all the lectures

4:03

we've got a bunch of new lectures

4:04

dropping on Friday we got the elite

4:06

Hustlers course coming out on Monday

4:07

we've got the five million dollar

4:09

trading challenge starting we've got new

4:11

lectures coming for stocks and Psych the

4:13

real estate the property management

4:14

courses no you you all should know this

4:17

by now nobody works harder than me and

4:19

my goal is to make sure these products

4:20

are amazing so I'm doing a nice end of

4:22

the year revamp to really help add value

4:25

and next to you I'll be adding more

4:27

lectures as well I just keep adding more

4:28

content that's my goal provide more

4:30

value so South Korea is pretty unique

4:33

not only because we have a free trade

4:34

agreement with them but that actually

4:36

then enables us to take a full advantage

4:39

of that 7 500 credit for Batteries

4:42

manufactured in South Korea or a region

4:46

uh or country that qualifies for

4:49

inflation reduction act and Energy

4:51

Credit rules which require that uh these

4:55

these batteries come from countries with

4:58

which we have a free trade agreement

4:59

which China's not now what's unique

5:01

about Korea is they already export

5:03

thousands of Kias and Hyundais GM's got

5:06

a plant in Korea they also export other

5:09

Optical equipment fuel Machinery to the

5:12

United States think Samsung there are

5:14

six largest a trading partner South

5:16

Korea is also really interested in

5:18

growing the battery charging Network

5:21

within South Korea so they can push more

5:23

of a sustainable energy a platform and

5:26

and plan and a Tesla could really be a

5:29

win-win relationship for South Korea see

5:31

my biggest belief is that what you need

5:34

is Tesla to get their act together at

5:38

Giga Austin that's uh Giga taxes right

5:41

get their act together at Giga Berlin

5:44

maximize the potential production there

5:46

once they figure out the model and

5:49

perfect it copy and paste it Indonesia

5:52

India uh you know South Korea more in

5:56

South America now of course the

5:57

inflation reduction act has kind of

5:59

moved that needle from maybe countries

6:01

like China where we have trade tariffs

6:03

and not necessarily free trade that's

6:04

again what a tariff is after all and

6:06

move that over to free trade countries

6:10

and I believe that once the model is

6:12

ready to be copy and pasted Elon Musk

6:14

just needs a pace Pace Pace Pace paste

6:16

and that is going to be a gorgeous

6:18

opportunity to deploy that cash War

6:21

chest that Tesla has which is a really

6:23

really big deal for increasing

6:25

production now of course uh fud over

6:27

demand will never go away for example

6:29

Tesla just reduced prices in China they

6:32

also came out with a new Treasure Chest

6:34

referral style system to where when you

6:36

refer people to get a Tesla or buy a

6:38

Tesla uh they could win a belt buckle a

6:41

Model S stroller a custom home Chargers

6:44

things like that there are reports now

6:46

that in the first three weeks of uh

6:48

November we only saw 50 000 orders and

6:51

expectations were higher than that and

6:53

so some people are a little fussy about

6:54

that Tesla China has responded and said

6:56

no this is fake news we don't have a

6:57

demand problem Elon Musk has regularly

6:59

said that obviously if you believe that

7:01

there's going to be a demand problem

7:02

with Tesla's you probably just don't

7:04

want to invest in Teslas you're probably

7:06

also one of those people who looks at

7:07

all the recall articles and actually

7:09

thinks that thousands of Teslas get

7:11

recalled all the time when the reality

7:13

is there have been 19 recalls this year

7:16

and they get fixed via a seamless

7:18

over-the-year update that installs at

7:21

night while you're sleeping it's it's

7:22

pretty ridiculous I actually tweeted

7:23

that and they got like four or five

7:25

thousand likes follow me on Twitter by

7:27

the way if you haven't yet I real need

7:28

Kevin but uh look I will tell you you

7:30

know I mentioned this earlier uh that I

7:32

would that I would tell you this why is

7:34

Tesla suffering so much look Tesla's

7:36

suffering for one simple reason in my

7:40

opinion Twitter that's it elon's really

7:44

gotta relax with his attitude on Twitter

7:46

and he's got a strong attitude on

7:48

Twitter okay let me give you an example

7:50

of what I mean and remember Tesla

7:53

declined 20 of last month while the S P

7:56

500 went up six and a half percent right

7:59

after the Twitter Act was a acquisition

8:00

and the anticipation of that has led

8:03

Tesla to suffer I'm going to talk about

8:05

earnings recession as well in a moment

8:06

but I'll tell you people are so deeply

8:09

questioning Elon musk's management style

8:11

at Twitter that Tesla has really just

8:13

now become a hedge for Twitter and it's

8:16

a free Hedge for Twitter investors that

8:18

is if Elon Musk screws up at Twitter and

8:20

needs more money breaks the piggy bank

8:22

of Tesla Rob's Tesla shares by dumping

8:25

them on the market and taking that money

8:26

basically and throws that money into

8:29

Twitter to save it he has said himself

8:31

he sells Tesla stock to save Twitter

8:34

those are his own words now can you

8:36

fault him for that no I mean he's got a

8:38

new business venture is that what's

8:39

leading to a lot of pain for Tesla stock

8:41

of course because there's so much drama

8:43

about what Elon Musk is doing over at

8:44

Twitter but I will say he probably needs

8:46

to relax with his attitude like here's

8:49

just an example Business Insider posts

8:52

this uh this article here Sam bankman

8:54

freed reportedly owns a hundred million

8:56

dollar stake in Elon musk's Twitter and

8:58

then he goes false also so Business

9:00

Insider is not a real publication just

9:02

give up I mean like okay it's one thing

9:04

to say false but like the aggressive

9:07

opinion not really necessary in my

9:09

opinion especially when you jump over

9:11

here and you look and you say you know

9:14

you look at the actual article

9:15

spokespeople for Twitter and FTX did not

9:17

respond to a request for comment so it's

9:19

like you know they like they they

9:21

reached out to you to ask you if this

9:24

was true they're just reporting on the

9:26

rumor and they give you all the details

9:27

in the article you know I I know the

9:29

headlines says reportedly owns 100

9:31

million dollars taken maybe that's what

9:32

people are upset about but like I think

9:35

if Elon Musk just toned back the

9:37

aggressiveness a little bit he'd be a

9:39

little bit more CEO like and then he can

9:42

actually align better with institutional

9:44

investors see institutional investors I

9:47

think are sitting on the sidelines I

9:48

mean you've had Dan Ives who's been a

9:50

big Tesla bull moved to the sidelines on

9:53

Tesla he actually no longer calls it uh

9:57

his sort of like uh deal of the month or

9:58

stock of the month he's removed that a

10:01

lot of this because it's hard to

10:03

Advocate buying Tesla when there's so

10:05

much drama going on with Twitter elon's

10:07

adding fuel of the fire with his left

10:09

versus right thing uh and and I know

10:11

some of it is Justified but as a CEO you

10:15

have to remember that if you piss some

10:16

people off those people go to their

10:18

institutions and their hedge fund

10:20

managers and they're like I will take

10:21

all my money out of your company if you

10:23

support this Elon Musk guy they could be

10:25

you know like super super devout

10:28

Democrats or super devout Republicans

10:30

who knows it just takes one thing to

10:31

piss them off so I don't know like I

10:34

think Elon would just be best served

10:36

shut the f up on Twitter man that's it

10:39

in the meantime go do what you got to do

10:41

with Twitter I have faith in Elon I

10:43

think this is a buying opportunity for

10:44

Tesla because it's really Twitter fud

10:46

that's dragging down Tesla I also think

10:48

that and I I like I've said it before I

10:51

think Tesla will do very very well in

10:52

the recession uh that I know the stock

10:55

performance the last you know year to

10:57

date here hasn't been great because it's

10:58

about 57 so that might seem ridiculous

11:01

but what I've always said is that I

11:02

believed Tesla's EPS would outperform

11:05

other companies and I think over the

11:08

next three to four quarters as long as

11:10

Shanghai doesn't shut down you're going

11:12

to see exactly that come to fruition uh

11:15

yeah I know fundamental analysis

11:16

sometimes takes patience but there's

11:19

nothing fundamentally bad about Tesla

11:21

right now if anything the fundamentals

11:22

in my opinion are just improving the

11:25

only risk could be that demand falls off

11:27

a cliff in my opinion in my opinion if

11:30

demand falls off a cliff Tesla valuation

11:33

will continue to fall it will be very

11:36

very bad so I would not invest in Tesla

11:38

if you think they're not going to be

11:40

able to fulfill uh you know all of their

11:43

deliveries because there's not enough

11:44

demand I would not invest in Tesla then

11:46

if you think there is more demand than

11:48

production capabilities for the next few

11:49

years

11:51

Tesla's probably a really good bet and

11:53

even though I'm a licensed financial

11:54

advisor and I've got educational courses

11:56

on building your wealth this is just in

11:58

my opinion I want to be very clear it's

12:00

not personalized Financial advice for

12:01

you but what is a suggestion is that you

12:03

check out that 60 off coupon code make

12:05

sure you sign up for that bell ringing

12:07

event on December 9th again you could

12:10

either you're what you're invited to

12:11

meet outside we'll probably do a little

12:13

meet up around 4 30 outside or fill out

12:15

the form for the raffle to come inside

12:18

the actual Stock Exchange and if you

12:20

sign up for the courses you got plenty

12:23

of time to be part of that raffle thanks

12:24

so much for watching we'll see you next

12:25

one goodbye
