Homeowner How To: Add a Payment Method and Make a Payment Online

Hi, Natalie here from the customer
support team. And today we're going to
be looking at how to do an online
payment through PHOA. So, when you're in
your owner portal, if you click either
of these big blue pay now buttons, it
take you to your checkout page. From
here, you can select or deselect charges
that you'd like to pay right now. Or you
can even do a partial amount if you're
only wanting to pay a specific amount at
this moment.
If you needed to add a payment method,
you can do that by clicking the add a
payment method from here. It'll ask you
if you'd like to add a card to which you
can just enter in your card details and
save that payment method to use for an
instant payment. If you're wanting to
use your bank account, you'll see the
options to either search for your bank
and add it via the credentials that you
would use as if you're logging in on
your bank app or bank website. So once
you do the agree and continue, it'll
prompt you to enter in those details and
it would probably give you a PIN or a
phone number to enter to ensure that
that is your account that you're
attempting to use. Some people don't
like to do that with their credentials.
So we also have the option to enter in
those bank details manually via the
routing and account number. So, if you
wanted to do it that way, you could come
in and enter that routing number by
coming in and doing it that way
and entering in the details and pushing
submit.
Once you do that, that is saving the
account with Pay HOA. This page isn't
necessary, but you can associate it if
you wanted to use this in the future
with other payment systems. So, not now.
And then it'll take you back to Pay Hoa,
but you're not done just yet. Do not
click out of this screen before hitting
save payment method. If you don't hit
save payment method here, your bank
account will not save and you'll have to
do the process over again. So, be sure
to save payment method to make sure it
saves to pay HOA.
And then you'll be able to go in and
ensure that that account is in your
account settings under your wallet.
And then you'll see the option to verify
for payments. So, we have to send a
micro deposit to that bank account to
ensure that it is the right account to
use. So, you should receive a 1 cent
micro deposit to that account with a
code in the description that begins with
SM. It can take 24 to 48 hours for that
to load in your bank account. So, don't
panic if you don't see it that day. Once
you see that code, you can come back in,
go back to the wallet, and enter in the
details, verify that account, and that
bank account would be ready to use for
an instant payment. It's also important
to remember if the payment method is not
verified, you cannot set it up on
autopay until it is verified. After you
submit your payment, you'll receive a
receipt straight to your email that
gives a breakdown of what payments you
made with any processing fees associated
with it. And if you're wondering what
the processing fees are, if you're
paying by credit card or debit card, the
processing fee will be 3.25%
plus 50 cent of what you're paying. If
you're paying by bank account or a it'll
be $1.95 cents per payment.
