Go to met Kevin.com/extra to learn more

0:04

and that course coupon code expires

0:06

tonight for the programs on building

0:07

your wealth. Hey everyone, me Kevin

0:09

here. In this video, we're going to talk

0:10

about everything that we know regarding

0:12

the metaverse and how you might be able

0:14

to stand to make money from it. But

0:16

first, I want to introduce you to

0:18

something that you may not be familiar

0:19

with yet. And it's something that I've

0:21

actually been using for over 5 years

0:24

now. It's Matterport 3D scanning

0:27

technology. And this specifically

0:29

applies to this talk that we have now

0:31

about the metaverse. This is a reallife

0:34

property right here that was scanned

0:37

with a 3D camera. In fact, I'll show you

0:39

what the camera looks like just by

0:40

driving right into here. There you go.

0:42

That's a 3D scanning camera. And this

0:45

camera is basically able to create a 3D

0:48

rendering of all the spaces that it sees

0:50

as you take the photos around different

0:52

areas. Now, the cool thing about this is

0:55

all of these data points go into

0:57

software and allow us to create what

0:59

looks like a real 3D world. And what I

1:03

think is fascinating about these sorts

1:05

of Matterport scans is that when we talk

1:07

about the metaverse and we talk about

1:10

potentially being able to share

1:11

experiences with other folks, we don't

1:14

really think yet that a company like

1:16

Matterport, which is a public stock and

1:19

has already partnered with Facebook on

1:21

certain things. I know we don't like

1:22

Facebook so much, but we love

1:23

Matterport. uh we might be able to in

1:26

the future literally invite people, my

1:29

guess, okay, this is my speculation, to

1:31

our own experiences and destinations

1:35

through the metaverse. Take a look at

1:38

this. This right here is a scan that I

1:40

did on a concier onebedroom Disney

1:44

cruise. This cost about $20,000.

1:49

I'd be able to invite folks into this

1:52

Disney cruise. Uh here it is. You can

1:55

see it uh at dock. Uh and this is a

1:57

Disney cruise. And I took this scan at

2:00

the beginning of my trip. And uh this

2:02

was still when our when our youngest son

2:04

was uh was was in one of these sleepers.

2:07

But anyway,

2:08

theoretically, I might be able to invite

2:11

you or somebody else to hang out with me

2:14

in this space in virtual reality so that

2:17

it's almost like we're together in

2:19

person on my cruise or in some

2:22

destination land by scanning the space

2:25

that I'm in and then hanging out with

2:27

you in virtual reality. Now, I'm not

2:29

sure what that's going to be like. I I

2:32

still prefer meeting people in person. I

2:34

think I kind of still prefer the idea of

2:37

having beer with somebody in person. But

2:40

think about the potential of let's say

2:43

I'm in Italy on a ship and I'm hanging

2:46

out over here and I want to play poker

2:48

and I can invite my friends through the

2:51

metaverse, this virtual reality world

2:54

and it's my setting, my world

2:57

essentially that I scanned from the real

2:59

world into the virtual world and now we

3:01

can all hang out and play poker together

3:02

and it feels like we're there in person.

3:06

I think that'd actually be pretty dang

3:08

cool, especially with how uh we're we're

3:11

becoming so scattered and so many people

3:12

are moving to different places because

3:14

we kind of work virtually. And I'll tell

3:16

you, Zoom meetings just ain't the same.

3:19

And so, this is where the metaverse, in

3:20

my opinion, crosses an element of

3:24

reality to me. And it really wasn't

3:26

until I thought about this potential

3:28

partnership with Matterport or this

3:31

integration of things like Matterport

3:33

technology that I really started getting

3:35

excited about the metaverse. Now, in

3:37

full transparency, I own zero Facebook

3:40

stock and I own a lot of Matterport

3:42

stock. But let's now jump into what we

3:45

know about the metaverse. Because what I

3:47

just showed you is real 3D scanning

3:49

technology along with my speculation on

3:52

what potentially a use case could be for

3:54

the metaverse. Because otherwise it just

3:57

sounds a little arcane and something

3:59

like I don't know children might do in a

4:01

video game. But this to me made it feel

4:04

real because after all the metaverse is

4:07

defined as a concept which is the

4:09

crossroads of virtual reality and

4:11

augmented reality. Virtual reality is

4:14

when we put on virtual reality goggles

4:16

or whatever and we're in a different

4:17

space like you joining my cruise.

4:19

Augmented reality would me be me being

4:22

able to see on my goggles potentially

4:24

virtual poker cards and poker hands. And

4:28

I'll tell you, it'd be pretty cool to

4:29

have a virtual dealer because I'm pretty

4:31

sure every time we play poker, nobody

4:33

wants to be the dealer. But anyway, the

4:36

cool thing is uh the metaverse uh isn't

4:39

really deemed an extension of the

4:41

internet, like something you do on the

4:42

internet. It's actually being considered

4:45

the next step of the internet. It's like

4:47

the evolution, the Pokemon evolved

4:49

version of the internet. That is, you

4:52

haven't even seen the internet in its

4:53

final form yet. Uh so hopefully this

4:55

makes more sense. So where did this come

4:56

from? Well, this really came from a 1992

4:58

science fiction novel called A Snow

5:00

Crash. And this is where meta is defined

5:03

as beyond versus universe. And so if

5:05

you're unfamiliar with Snow Crash Crash,

5:07

it's basically a '90s version of Ready

5:09

Player 1. And if you have not watched

5:11

Ready Player One, the movie, just watch

5:13

that, okay? It's great. Uh the setting

5:15

in both of these is similar. People

5:17

basically seek refuge from a dystopian

5:19

future within this fully virtual world,

5:23

the metaverse. And so, uh, this is why

5:26

even though there are no real examples

5:28

of this yet outside of the movie, uh, I

5:30

thought this example of integrating

5:32

Matterport scans and sort of my

5:33

destinations and sharing those

5:35

destinations with people is the perfect

5:37

potential use case uh for 3D scanning

5:40

technology combined with uh, the

5:42

metaverse. Essentially, it's taking the

5:44

space that I'm in online. That's the

5:47

easiest way that I can think about it.

5:48

Now, earlier this year, Republic Realm,

5:52

which considers itself a digital real

5:54

estate firm, purchased an NFT of virtual

5:58

real estate in the Decentraland for more

6:00

than $900,000.

6:02

So, think about that for a moment. A

6:04

company spent $900,000 purchasing the

6:08

rights to digital real estate in a world

6:11

that does not exist. And the main

6:14

currency of this sort of decentraland is

6:17

is called Mana. And what's kind of

6:19

interesting about this is that users in

6:22

this world are constantly creating

6:23

experiences for other users and that the

6:25

decentraland is described as not a place

6:28

but rather an infrastructure on which to

6:31

build a place. Now again this is really

6:33

really arcane but I think of a place as

6:36

something as as somewhere where we where

6:37

we can go right so you're not really

6:39

buying uh this digital representation of

6:42

a place but you're buying the

6:44

opportunity or this company is you're

6:45

buying the opportunity for other people

6:47

to go there. So imagine okay let's try

6:50

to let's back up from this decentraland

6:52

and sort of this arcane stuff again

6:53

because as soon as it gets a little like

6:55

okay above my head below my knees this

6:57

is a little too much. Now for a message

6:59

from our sponsor look getting into real

7:00

estate. So, let's do another example.

7:02

Let's say that Disney creates a virtual

7:06

version of the Animal Kingdom. Okay,

7:09

this right here is a concier suite at

7:12

the Animal Kingdom uh that I stayed in.

7:14

It's a twobedroom. And what if Disney

7:18

had the right to this basically

7:20

two-bedroom uh unit here and we were

7:23

able to lease this two-bedroom unit and

7:26

experience the animal kingdom from our

7:29

homes in a room that we maybe dedicate

7:32

to virtual reality or whatever or a

7:34

living room for that matter, whatever.

7:35

But we could essentially walk out onto

7:37

the balcony and look, oh, there are the

7:39

giraffes and we get some sort of

7:41

realtime feed of the actual animals

7:43

there. This this was by the way a real

7:45

virtual well it's it's a real Matterport

7:48

scan that I took. So these are basically

7:49

pictures of the actual place that I

7:50

stayed. But these could easily with with

7:53

technology that we have now be turned

7:55

into a virtual world that we could walk

7:57

around in. I would expect almost that

7:59

this virtual world technology would kind

8:00

of just beautify some of the objects,

8:02

get rid of some of the graininess. Uh

8:04

you know if there's dirt or whatever,

8:06

kind of clean that up and just make it

8:07

all look like the beautify filter on

8:09

Instagram. But now you want to go to the

8:12

Animal Kingdom with me, but you don't

8:13

want to fly to Florida. You don't want

8:15

to spend the money to go in this, but

8:16

you want to hang out at the Animal

8:17

Kingdom or even go through the park.

8:19

Boom. Let's go. Let's go visit it. And

8:21

And I imagine at first these experiences

8:23

would be more visual. Like I don't see

8:25

us yet going on roller coasters and

8:27

experiencing that. Although if you kind

8:29

of want to feel potentially what uh sort

8:33

of the metaverse could make you feel

8:34

like if for experiencing like virtual

8:38

roller coasters, if you've ever gone to

8:41

the Universal Hollywood Harry Potter

8:44

ride, they they have this sort of like

8:46

crane that has you in a seat and they

8:49

drive you around and then they put you

8:51

in front of this circular screen and it

8:54

makes you feel like you're Harry Potter

8:57

on uh uh you know whatever a broomstick

9:00

flying around because the thing's kind

9:02

of rocking you around and you've got

9:03

this immersive experience with sound and

9:06

wind and everything in front of you and

9:07

it makes you feel like you're flying

9:09

around uh virtually but you're really

9:12

just in this chair that's just moving

9:14

around a little bit and then there's

9:15

some fan blowing in your face, right?

9:17

Really interesting, especially if uh the

9:20

the ride shuts down on you, which has

9:22

happened to me three times. Uh, and then

9:25

you could kind of be like, ah, this is

9:26

how they make you feel like it. Kind of

9:28

another way to sort of relate the real

9:31

world to the virtual world and give you

9:32

kind of a feeling as to how some of

9:34

these things could work in the future.

9:35

Because again, every time I think about

9:36

like concerts and parks and rides in the

9:40

dental land, I'm like, how? It doesn't

9:43

make sense. But when I relate it to

9:45

reality, it makes more sense. See, and

9:47

in the Dententraland today, there are

9:50

actually casinos where people can gamble

9:52

their mana against the dealers who are

9:55

paid by the casino owners and mana. And

9:57

the dealers in in the Dententraland are

9:59

actually real people who are somewhere

10:01

and you interact with them in the

10:03

metaverse. So, the metaverse has so many

10:06

implications, and it doesn't just have

10:07

to do with you coming over my Animal

10:10

Kingdom site and hanging out with me to

10:12

gamble or drink beer, although both of

10:14

those sins sound really, really fun

10:16

right now, and I'd rather be doing that

10:17

right now. Okay, I'm just kidding. I I

10:19

like making my videos. Uh oh, but that

10:21

is also very fun. But anyway, according

10:23

to JP Morgan, the key concepts of the

10:25

metaverse are the linkage between the

10:28

virtual and the real world. And really

10:30

the goal is to try to get you to spend

10:32

money and to be social. So if you think

10:34

about it, look, if I can go rent an

10:36

Animal Kingdom space tonight, like this,

10:39

imagine this. It's like, "Okay, Lauren,

10:41

where do you want to go for date night?"

10:42

Well, we've gone to the same tiki hut

10:45

like every single date night the last 17

10:48

times. Why don't we do something

10:50

different? Hey, what if we go to the

10:52

Animal Kingdom tonight and uh we go to

10:55

the the Animal Kingdom show they're

10:57

having in Florida by just putting on our

11:00

reality headsets. Now, we're going to

11:02

spend a money. We're going to spend more

11:04

money to go to this, right? So, we're

11:06

paying a ticket at Bishan cost and every

11:09

night we could be anywhere. Hey, you

11:11

know what? Let's go to the event they're

11:12

having at the Great Wall of China. And

11:15

you know, maybe they've Matterport

11:16

scanned this thing up or or whatever. Or

11:18

or maybe they they're even live

11:20

Matterport scans. I have no idea how

11:22

this might work in the future. I expect

11:24

the difference between a Matterport scan

11:26

now and a live feed 3D scan isn't that

11:31

impossible to do. It just has to be

11:33

stitched together in real time, which I

11:35

I know we already have live feeds of 360

11:38

cameras, so I think the technology

11:39

already exists. But now again, me as an

11:42

investor, I'm always trying to put my

11:44

head on is like, okay, where is this

11:46

going to make more money? And I'm

11:47

thinking, dang, this could make really

11:49

good money for tourist destinations.

11:51

It's really bad for airlines. It's

11:53

horrible for airlines, but it's great

11:56

for people like uh concerts, venue. I

11:59

mean, like, what if you want to go to a

12:01

you want to go to a rave and you've

12:03

never been to one and you're like, I

12:04

kind of want to try one without actually

12:06

being there.

12:09

Oh, yay. You're there. All right. Uh

12:11

interesting. Uh now I I I suppose that

12:14

makes dancing with other people probably

12:15

less uh less interactive, but uh so so

12:19

there are definitely some things you're

12:20

still going to want to do in person,

12:21

right? I don't think this is designed to

12:23

really be a replacement of like going

12:25

clubbing, for example, and hanging out

12:27

with other people in person. So you

12:29

can't really functionally dance with

12:31

somebody as well. I I I believe in the

12:33

uh in the virtual world as you could in

12:35

person. But uh you know being able to go

12:39

on different date nights or different

12:41

experiences with your friends and family

12:43

or whatever or your spouse I think is

12:45

actually really cool especially if you

12:47

want it to be mostly visual and you

12:49

don't want to otherwise travel there or

12:52

why bother traveling there if you're

12:53

like some people if you're you're going

12:55

to go somewhere for a visual experience

12:58

like a museum or a concert uh mostly

13:02

visual right auditory I mean in some

13:04

sense virtual could be good enough. Kind

13:07

of interesting. Not trying to take away

13:09

from concerts, okay? I love going to

13:10

concerts, too. Uh I just like having

13:12

fun. Anyway, a lot of tech giants uh are

13:14

all trying to figure this out. Like,

13:15

they're having these same conversations

13:16

that I'm kind of having with myself and

13:19

you right now. Although, I know this is

13:20

a very one-sided conversation. But

13:22

anyway, uh Facebook announced in July

13:23

that was creating a product team to work

13:25

on the metaverse verse specifically. And

13:27

a lot of this obviously has to do with

13:28

Facebook because now Facebook is

13:30

changing their name from Facebook uh to

13:33

Meta. Now, there's still going to be

13:34

Facebook, but it's kind of like Google

13:36

and Alphabet. The corporate uh name

13:39

became Alphabet for Google. And uh

13:42

Facebook's actually changing their

13:44

ticker symbol from FB to Mverse, MVRS

13:47

apparently, starting at the end of this

13:49

year, which is pretty incredible. But

13:50

anyway, uh Facebook is really trying to

13:53

go deep on this. And the goal here is

13:55

really to provide a way for as many

13:56

players as possible to build a business

13:59

in the metaverse, to make money in the

14:01

metaverse. So, you know, in some sense,

14:03

I'm just again trying to put my thought

14:04

my head into this. Like, think about

14:06

this. Imagine you did a virtual scan of

14:09

your property and I was able to visit

14:11

your property in the metaverse and

14:13

consult with you on the renovation you

14:16

were thinking about doing. And all I had

14:17

to do was have my little 3D thing on and

14:19

it was kind of like, "Join Michael's

14:22

home tour. Yeah, Michael, don't do this,

14:24

do this, whatever." Right? And I'm able

14:26

to consult with you in person, but not

14:28

in person. Like that's a dope business.

14:31

Think about being a a trainer, you know,

14:34

a workout trainer. I some things you

14:36

probably have to physically like help

14:37

people with. But there's some really

14:39

cool opportunities here. Like who

14:41

remembers We Fit. Okay. I don't know.

14:43

Probably like 10% of the people

14:44

watching. I don't know. Hopefully more.

14:46

But anyway, we Fit was something else. I

14:49

actually really enjoyed it except I

14:51

don't know. I just didn't keep playing

14:52

it very long. Uh but anyway, uh Facebook

14:55

Pay by the way is uh now as a result

14:58

moving into uh this space as well.

15:01

They're actually moving Facebook Pay,

15:02

which I didn't even know they had

15:03

Facebook Pay like Apple Pay, but they

15:04

have Facebook Pay. They're moving this

15:05

to the Na'vi branded crypto wallet. So

15:08

everything's going to be under the Na'vi

15:09

brand. Uh remember that DM is going to

15:12

be their uh currency and Na'vi is the

15:14

wallet. Mark Zuckerberg has stated that

15:16

he already prefers doing his meetings in

15:18

VR if possible, citing that it's much

15:20

more uh collaborative and productive.

15:22

Now, most people don't like Mark

15:24

Zuckerberg, so I'm going to try to limit

15:26

my exposure to Mark here. But anyway, uh

15:29

Oculus uh by Facebook launched something

15:32

known as Horizon Workrooms. These

15:35

workrooms allow teams to collaborate and

15:37

develop in sort of a virtual world,

15:39

which kind of makes me think of EXPI,

15:41

the stock for EXPI real estate where

15:44

essentially in this uh this virtual

15:49

brokerage, you can go to meetings to

15:52

learn about how to sell real estate

15:54

better by being uh in sort of virtual

15:58

collaborative meetings and showing up to

16:00

these meetings with your uh character,

16:03

your virtual ual representation of

16:05

yourself. It's kind of cool. Which, by

16:07

the way, if you want to join and become

16:09

an agent at EXPI, I highly recommend you

16:11

do. Just go to metaven.com/exp.

16:15

That's met kevin.comexp

16:18

and you can become an agent at EXP Real

16:21

Estate. Lauren hangs her license there

16:23

and it's awesome. Uh, so check it out.

16:25

Lord's my wife in case you don't know.

16:26

Anyway, so uh the Horizon workrooms is a

16:30

place where apparently you can you could

16:32

actually write on group uh whiteboards

16:35

and uh and and it's really interactive.

16:37

It's a beta. Kind of interesting. Again,

16:39

it starts kind of escaping how I could

16:41

associate me actually physically

16:42

writing, but I suppose it would be no

16:44

different from me taking like a stylus

16:46

and writing on an iPad, except I don't

16:49

have that physical feedback. I I I don't

16:51

know. Maybe I get a pad or something.

16:52

Who knows? But anyway, Google,

16:54

Microsoft, Samsung, Sony have joined

16:56

Facebook, uh, and a bunch of group tech

16:59

companies, and their goal is to shape

17:00

the future of experimental reality,

17:02

which I suppose that means in the

17:04

future, maybe we'll have to add like

17:06

some some like free, uh, lectures in my

17:09

courses on building your wealth where I

17:11

like walk through scenarios in the real

17:14

world, but in the virtual world. That

17:17

would be really cool. Which remember, if

17:19

you buy any of my programs on building

17:20

your wealth, you get lifetime access to

17:22

them. There is a coupon code expiring uh

17:25

on October 29th in the evening. The

17:27

price goes up a little bit every time

17:28

the coupons expire. So, check that out.

17:30

Link down below. You lock in lifetime

17:34

value with these. Uh once you're in,

17:36

you're in. There's no upsell uh to to

17:39

like unlock more content or whatever. Uh

17:41

unless you're looking at a totally

17:42

different product because remember, I've

17:43

got five different products. So, stocks

17:45

and psychology of money, that'll always

17:46

be one and you'll always get the new

17:48

content for that, right? that's

17:49

different from like real estate

17:50

investing or making YouTube videos, real

17:52

estate agent sales and things like that.

17:54

So, check those out down below. Most cop

17:56

popular bundle by the way is the uh real

17:58

estate investing group and stocks and

18:00

psychology of money. So, Mark Zuckerberg

18:03

uh also mentioned that uh the name

18:05

Facebook doesn't encompass everything.

18:06

So, that's why now they're going into

18:09

Meta. They own meta.com which redirects

18:11

to Facebook. Zuckerberg owns at Meta.

18:13

Starting December 1st, Facebook uh will

18:15

start trading under a new ticker symbol

18:17

MVRS. Uh this is again similar to how

18:20

Google rebranded itself, which begs the

18:22

question, what's going to happen to

18:23

Fang? Uh if Facebook is now Meta and

18:25

Google is now Alphabet, maybe now we're

18:27

going to get something like man,

18:30

we'll see what happens. Uh

18:34

Meta, Amazon, Alphabet, Apple, and

18:37

Netflix. Oh man. H according to

18:40

Bloomberg Intelligence article, by the

18:41

way, all consumer brands need now, and

18:44

this is a big one, okay, a chief

18:46

metaverse officer. Yeah, chief metverse

18:49

officer. And the vision here is that the

18:51

future of the metaverse isn't a specific

18:53

place or thing, but rather again, it's

18:55

the next level of interconnectedness.

18:57

And it's like I described, it's a way

18:59

for us to interact with people that that

19:01

we haven't been able to do so before.

19:04

Whether that's for job interviews or for

19:05

actually showing up in the office

19:07

without showing up in the office. In the

19:08

future, we might look back at our

19:10

current internet as actually kind of

19:12

like primitive. Like I watched the Born

19:13

identity the other day and they're

19:15

sitting in the one of these internet

19:16

cafes. Uh, and and they're going on

19:19

websites and oh my gosh, the websites

19:21

from like 2003 look horrible and I

19:24

remember those like who remembers AOL

19:27

Instant Messenger AIM. Oh my gosh.

19:29

Anyway, uh the response so far to

19:32

Facebook's reb branding has been pretty

19:34

mixed. Uh especially the response to

19:36

Zuckerberg's commercial. People wonder

19:38

if it's a joke. Now uh the people who

19:40

know about the metaverse concept prior

19:42

uh to or have known about it since prior

19:44

to the Facebook announcement are mostly

19:47

excited about uh Facebook embracing the

19:49

future of the internet. Obviously

19:51

privacy is a big concern here especially

19:53

when it comes to Facebook. The concern

19:54

is compounded by the fact that Facebook

19:56

is already not widely trusted right. So

19:59

even without the metaverse, there are

20:00

already some privacy groups uh that that

20:02

are monitoring Facebook for uh tracking

20:05

issues like hey, you know, are people

20:07

tapping into the cameras and our

20:08

front-facing cameras on our laptops or

20:10

our phones? How much are we actually

20:12

being tracked with GPS data? Are

20:14

employers going to take surveillance to

20:16

the next level of of surveillance

20:18

through this? Right? If if you're in the

20:20

metaverse, can like literally everything

20:21

you be do be tracked here? Uh, you know,

20:24

reading through Twitter this morning, a

20:25

lot of people are are viewing the

20:27

metaverse as like a glorified virtual

20:30

reality chat. Uh, and I think this

20:32

really associates it with with the sort

20:35

of Zoom nature. Uh, and I I hope that my

20:38

example so far by talking about

20:40

Matterport, which the stock by the way

20:41

is skyrocketing today because of this

20:43

news. Uh I I think my talk about

20:45

Matterport and this this potential use

20:47

case for going on going to events or

20:50

different date nights is is really uh a

20:53

more realistic example of how great the

20:55

metaverse could be. And it also helps

20:57

distance ourselves a little bit from uh

21:00

well Facebook. So now also on Thursday,

21:03

the developers of a blockchainbased game

21:06

called quote the age of rust tweeted

21:08

that they were notified by Valve that

21:11

Steam is blocking all applications built

21:14

on the blockchain technology uh that

21:16

issue or allow the exchange of

21:18

cryptocurrency NFTts. And so this is

21:21

just an example. This was last Thursday,

21:22

by the way. This is just an example

21:24

where uh you you still have you're so

21:27

new in this technology that you're still

21:28

having companies kind of fight over

21:30

like, "Hey, wait a minute. We don't want

21:32

you to sell NFTts here because we want

21:34

to get our fee. You're supposed to buy

21:36

stuff through the Steam store. We want

21:38

like our 30% cut. You know, this is very

21:40

similar to what happened with uh with

21:41

Apple here. Uh so uh you know, Valve's

21:44

rationale here is that they don't want

21:46

real money being traded for game items.

21:50

But uh let's be real, money is being

21:52

traded for game items all the time. Just

21:53

think about CS:GO, uh you know, skins,

21:56

Rust, TF2, you know, Team Fortress 2.

21:59

skins are being bought and these are

22:01

just basically clothing that we could

22:03

wear in theory in the metaverse, right?

22:05

And this is interesting because Valves

22:08

Valve's basically already said that

22:10

these NFTts, you know, digital

22:12

representations have real world value,

22:14

but let's be real. We know that Steam

22:16

just kind of wants wants their cut.

22:17

Again, very similar to Apple versus Epic

22:20

Games lawsuit. Judge, by the way, sided

22:22

with Epic Games, stating that Apple can

22:24

no longer prohibit developers from

22:25

pointing to other means of payment

22:27

beyond Apple's own payment system. uh

22:29

and uh and and uh but basically

22:31

reiterated that if you're going to use

22:32

Apple's payment system, you have to pay

22:34

Apple their commission. And so what

22:36

what's interesting here is we're going

22:38

to see back to Metverse here. We're

22:40

going to see a lot of fighting between

22:42

companies about okay, how are we going

22:44

to navigate this Metverse space? Who's

22:46

going to pay whom a commission? Who owns

22:49

the characters? Who owns the space that

22:51

we're hanging out in? Personally, I

22:53

think that if I go to the Animal Kingdom

22:55

via the metaverse, you know, again, here

22:57

I am in this this sweet that we had to

23:00

sp spend like $1,500 on a night uh to be

23:02

in. Hey, look at that. That's us. Oh my

23:04

gosh. Look, I look so different. I don't

23:06

have I don't have green hair. Oh, that's

23:09

a cool picture. See, look. We were there

23:10

in the virtual. Oh, man. I want it back.

23:13

Oh, that was really cool. Uh Oh, yeah.

23:15

Look at that.

23:17

Oh, that's that's actually really cool.

23:19

That was uh that was right before co uh

23:21

but oh man. Anyway, uh that's so cool.

23:25

But anyway, it really gives us this um

23:28

feeling that hey like Disney deserves

23:29

some payment here, right? We're using

23:31

their space. But anyway, uh it's worth

23:34

noting that so far this month, four

23:37

metaverse themed exchange traded funds

23:39

have already been listed on the Korean

23:41

stock exchange. the uh business model

23:44

behind blockchain powered games like

23:47

especially like play to earn games are

23:49

also taking off and uh ETFs are trying

23:51

to take advantage of this movement.

23:53

They're trying to buy things like

23:54

Matterport or Vuzy the virtual reality

23:56

headset. I did not really like Vuzy

23:59

glasses by it's not the headset, it's

24:00

the glasses. Didn't really like the Vuzy

24:02

glasses when I ordered them. Uh but

24:04

maybe I'll have to give them another

24:05

chance. But uh we're seeing a lot of

24:08

businesses being created around the

24:10

metaverse already. Uh now this this

24:13

paytoarn thing is really interesting.

24:15

There's something called Axi Infiniti.

24:18

And so Axi Infiniti has uh AXS tokens

24:22

already listed on multiple exchanges.

24:24

And JP Morgan reported that as of

24:26

October 4th, the market cap of Axi

24:28

Infiniti has reached $ 8.3 billion,

24:31

much higher than the $30 million uh

24:34

market cap that it had on January 1st of

24:36

this year. The game, by the way,

24:39

recorded $196 million US of monthly

24:42

revenue from July 2021, uh, and $364

24:47

million of revenue in August 2021. So,

24:50

it's kind of blowing up. And this is Axi

24:52

Infiniti. Uh, and there's also a

24:54

well-known Korean Japanese gaming

24:57

company called Nexon, and they're

24:59

currently developing Project Mod. This

25:01

is an upcoming platform and it's

25:03

believed to be a metaverse that

25:05

leverages off the game's intellectual

25:07

property. Disney's already trying to NFT

25:10

or basically tokenize things like

25:12

Spider-Man or other things because they

25:15

know the metaverse is coming and people

25:17

are going to want to play these sorts of

25:19

characters. So, this is really this

25:21

brave new world. Uh you've also got

25:24

Nvidia stock that's jumping on this news

25:27

mostly because uh you're going to need

25:29

some pretty incredible server technology

25:31

and graphics technology to make this

25:33

happen. And Nvidia is all in on this

25:35

especially with AI. Like think about it.

25:37

They there is an element of artificial

25:39

intelligence that goes into even 3D

25:40

scanning to stitch these pictures

25:42

together. But then also I I expect in

25:44

the future to not just stitch the

25:45

pictures together, but to beautify them

25:48

and to to uh fill in gaps that cameras

25:50

didn't see. like a camera doesn't know

25:51

what's under the table, but it could

25:53

kind of make that assumption, right? And

25:54

artificial intelligence probably be able

25:56

to put that together, which is uh kind

25:58

of scary, but also really really in

26:01

cool. Nvidia is also having their GPU

26:04

technology conference on November 8th

26:06

through 11th online. There will be more

26:08

than 500 sessions covering things like

26:10

robotics, deep learning, graphics, and a

26:12

lot more. They're expected to have over

26:14

200,000 online attendees. And one of the

26:17

sessions will be the vision for the

26:19

metaverse. You'll have a lot of

26:20

panelists on there like the CEO of Epic

26:22

Games, the chief scientists at Roblox,

26:24

10-centent Games, SK Telecom, uh Nvidia

26:29

folks, Metastage folks, Cesium folks,

26:32

you name it. And uh there'll be a lot of

26:35

sessions including folks coming from

26:37

Disney, Loheed Martin, you name it. So,

26:39

you can really see almost all companies

26:41

are are are starting to pay attention to

26:43

this. The omniverse, by the way, is also

26:46

considered uh a metaverse for engineers.

26:49

This is a product by Nvidia. So, you

26:52

know, if you're really excited about the

26:53

metaverse, Nvidia is another one to

26:55

consider taking a peek at of the things

26:57

I've mentioned here. I'm invested in uh

26:59

I did invest in AXS, also invested

27:02

heavily in Matterport, which if you ever

27:04

want to know when I buy or sell

27:06

something, immediately when I do,

27:08

remember the stocks and psychology of

27:09

money group does that. I I include

27:11

alerts for every kind of transaction I

27:14

make uh in the stocks and psychology of

27:16

money group. But anyway, uh developers

27:18

and software providers uh are obviously

27:21

building on this like crazy. I mean, BMW

27:23

is already working on building a digital

27:25

factory so that they can train people in

27:27

a digital factory before they go work in

27:29

a real factory. Isn't that isn't that

27:30

crazy? Like these are real examples that

27:33

we're seeing here. Now, about a day ago,

27:35

GameStop also posted a job listing

27:38

hiring a head of web 3 gaming, so

27:41

version three of the web, making it

27:43

clear that GameStop's also looking to

27:45

get into the metaverse. They said

27:47

they're looking for someone with

27:48

experience with Ethereum NFTs and

27:50

blockchain based gaming platforms. Back

27:53

in May, GameStop also created a page to

27:55

tease their in-house NFT marketplace.

27:58

GameStop really appears to have already

28:00

created an ERC 721 standard token which

28:04

is used to create NFTts. By the way, I

28:07

also recently acquired my very first

28:11

NFTt. It is a jungle cat. Uh and it's

28:15

it's kind of paying homage to a little

28:16

bit of the green hair. Uh uh and uh I

28:19

made a uh I made some videos wearing a

28:22

hazmat suit back at the beginning of

28:23

COVID. And so I I I thought this was a

28:26

really cool uh sort of throw to uh

28:30

throwback to the beginning of the

28:31

pandemic and to now. So it's sort of a

28:34

merger of the two. But anyway, really

28:36

like this one. So uh take a look at uh

28:38

take a look at this. Uh this is a jungle

28:40

cat. Uh and uh in in full transparency,

28:44

I was gifted this jungle cat. I did

28:46

select this uh but I was gifted this. I

28:48

always want to be very transparent with

28:50

my audience, but it's awesome. It is my

28:52

first NFT and it's really really cool.

28:54

So, thank you to the Jungle Cat squad

28:58

and also shout out to Salana. Uh, so

29:02

folks, this is this is amazing. I mean,

29:05

this has been a a longer video than I

29:07

thought, but uh I'm actually excited

29:10

about this. Like, Axi really excited

29:13

about it. Got six figures in it. Uh,

29:16

Matterport got over seven figures in

29:18

this. And uh the I think this is just

29:21

the beginning, folks. So very excited.

29:23

Thank you so much for being here. And

29:26

folks, we'll see you in the next one.

29:28

Thanks again. Goodbye.
