Summer Vacation in Ladakh | 6 Day Itinerary | Pangong Lake | Nubra Valley

Hey friends

welcome to Garima's Good Life.

I'm in Ladakh right now

and I'm making this six day trip in Ladakh.

And the season for this trip is from May to September.

So I think that I'm here at the best time.

Let's see, how I spend these six days?

I know it is going to be a great, great feelgood trip for me.

Woo hoo! Let's see.

So, Day 1 was slow, mainly for resting and acclimatization

and visiting Shanti Stupa and the Leh palace in Leh.

And after that, we went to Leh market.

This is the famous Leh market.

You can do a lot of shopping here, right from Pashmina, junk jewellery, Tibetan stuff

and I have heard that we can get amazing nature lip balm here.

I think I should just go and hunt for that lip balm.

Found it finally

I have got this all organic lip balm in this small shop called Dzomsa,

it is all pure organic stuff

and this particular lip balm is made with Apricot oil and b wax.

Day 2, was also meant to be slow

for getting used to the high altitude and low oxygen.

So went to see the river Zanskar in Leh itself.

This is called the sangam

and here the river Indus and another local river confluence

both have completely different water and the water doesn't seem to mix with each other

and also, this is the world's highest rafting point.

And on the way back we ate at Gurdwara Pathar Sahib.

And today begins the six hour journey

from Leh to Nubra valley via Khardungla pass.

Hey guys, I'm at Khardungla pass, it is 18000 ft above the sea level.

This place is world highest motorable point.

Say hi

The kid here are as lovely and beautiful as this place.

And their smile.

I'm still in Ladakh

can you believe this, just look at my clothes right now.

I'm in Nubra valley right now

and this is the desert area here.

So this is the famous double hump camel of Nubra valley.

I'm very much enjoying this ride right now.

Friends, I am at the Diskit Monastery.

And the buddha you saw, is called the future buddha.

And this place is really peaceful and divine.

This is like 14th century old place.

Beautiful.

After Diskit Monastery in Nubra valley, we began our journey back to Leh.

Which was full of adventures.

A lovely Ladakhki sheep

are you seeing it's fur

from this we get pashmina.

From desert to a frozen lake!

This is too good.

Just look at this view around.

It's super awesome I tell you.

After this fantastic journey we reached our hotel in Leh

just in time, for some yummy dinner.

New day, a new journey begins to Pangong lake from Leh.

I am at Chang La Pass en route Pangong lake.

This place is world 2nd highest motorable point after Khardungla.

This is 17,688 ft above the sea level.

It's too cold here, but I'm having great fun.

I think everything in Ladakh is the world's highest.

World's highest rafting point, world's highest motorable road.

I can't get enough of this place, seriously.

After a 5 hour long journey from Leh finally

we have arrived at Pangong.

And look at where we're staying

we are staying in a tent or a camp right in front of Pangong.

Are you curious

about seeing our camp from inside?

Come on, in.

So

this how it is from the inside.

It is quite cosy

and I thought it is going to be quite cold here, as it is a tent

and I'll freeze

but I'm sure it will not happen.

Plus they have an attached toilet bathroom to this camp

which is awesome.

I'm so looking forward to visiting the Pangong lake right now, let's go.

This is what I have been waiting for.

This is the famous Pangong lake.

Do you know it changes colours five times a day.

It is so beautiful, divine and pristine.

I can't tell you what I'm feeling right now

that you can feel only after coming here.

And after 30-40 km this lake flows into China.

It sounds so exotic to me.

Hey friends good morning, look what I have woken up to,

Pangong lake again.

But do you know, the place where I am right now

this is the same spot where the climax of the 3 Idiots was shot.

And can you see the lake behind me?

I can see four colours, I don't know if the camera can capture those colours.

I hope, it can be seen.

I have travelled a lot in my life, but I haven't seen this kind of scenery,

I swear.

And now the final journey back to Leh.

Another very very important thing

while coming to Ladakh people think that they might not get much to eat,

but surprisingly

it's a delight for vegetarians, everywhere you'll get locally made dal and rice,

momos and our all-time favourite Maggi, you will get it everywhere.

So there is no worry about food here.

And now I can't wait to get back to Leh and visit our final destination

the Hall of Fame.

Giving a tribute to the Indian Army.

Wow! Friends, what a way to end my Ladakh journey.

This is the Hall of Fame.

And while standing here I want to give a huge salute to my Indian Army.

At such a high altitude,

in such extreme weather they protect our country, they protect our borders

it's simply amazing.
