Seven signs your mind is not letting you
be happy. You can't enjoy good moments
fully. Even when something nice happens,
your mind jumps to But what if something
goes wrong next? You replay past
mistakes like broken tape, things you
said, things you didn't say. Your mind
won't let you move on even if it has
been years. You assume the worst always.
If someone doesn't reply, they hate me.
Plans get cancelled. Nobody wants me.
You fill in the blanks with fear. You
compare constantly. Your mind makes
someone else's success feel like your
failure. You talk to yourself like an
enemy. You say things to yourself you'd
never say to a friend. Stupid, lazy, not
enough. You feel guilty for resting or
being happy, like you need to suffer to
be worthy. You predict the future like a
disaster movie. Your brain rehearses
pain that hasn't even happened and you
live in it before life has even thrown
it at you. If you are experiencing this,
know this. Your mind isn't the enemy.
It's just scared and it is trying to
protect you the only way it knows.
