Healthy Freezer meal prep - 4 x Ground beef different

hi friends today i will show you what i
will make out of this big roll of ground
beef
stay tuned

so today i went to sands club and i
found this huge roll of ground beef
so it's 90 percent lean 10 fat which is
an awesome deal for 276 a pound i paid
about 26 dollars for the whole
row it's huge it's gonna give me a lot
of dinners
i scrambled together four of my favorite
recipes colombian empanadas
lasagna tomato basil burger and the best
meatloaf
ever all those four meals will be
freezer meals meaning
you can store them in the freezer for up
to three months and you can pull them
out whenever you're ready to eat them
the first dish i'm cooking will be the
meatloaf i have a special recipe for my
meatloaf
i don't use panko bread crumbs like most
people do instead i use oats
although i put a lot of vegetables in my
meatloaf to make it healthy i will
make two of those those are all the
ingredients we will need for the
meatloaf
the plan is to make four different
dishes in each dish i will make multiple
off
which means i will cut this in quarters
which leaves me about two and a half
pound for each dish
let's get started
so it's about two and a pound two pounds
to a pound and
two and a half pound let's start with
the oats you need about three quarters
of a cup of quick cooking olives i don't
have any quick cooking notes
so what i'm doing is i'm taking regular
oats and just put them in a food
processor like really quick for a few
seconds
it's going to shred them up and make it
quick cooking oats
next you need a third cup of milk
add the quick cooking oats to it
just mix them through and let them soak
and get them get soft
let's start with the garlic
let's chop the garlic really fine
next up are the onions
oh
all right i don't know about you guys
but there's this one trick you can do
to not cry about onions you put some
water in your mouth
cold water
[Music]
put some olive oil in the pan take your
onions
garlic and the rosemary put it in a pan
saute it a bit for about five minutes
put it to the side let it cool down next
up cut the mushrooms
peppers the parsley
some chives
into the bowl
add the mushrooms
chop the parsley
chop the green onions
chop the carrots
add all the ingredients to the bowl stir
it all together
let's add one egg
let's add the sauteed garlic and onion i
took the rosemary out and tossed it
it should be cooled down by now
we need about one teaspoon of dijon
mustard
now we need a little bit more than half
a cup of ketchup

salt and pepper to taste
i really like pepper a lot
all right some salt
let's mix it all together and then add
the ground beef last
before you dig in you want to get your
meatloaf pans
ready just grease them lightly
all right let's do this
[Music]
don't squeeze too hard like make sure it
fits in and it fills it out
but don't like push it down and squeeze
it too hard it's gonna make the meatloaf
way too tough
[Music]
look how delicious they look um
now all you have to do is just put some
aluminum foil on top of it
i would recommend to double wrap it
stick it in the freezer
and you know use it within the next
three months
so you can either take it straight out
of the freezer and put it in the oven
and keep it in the oven for a little bit
longer
or you can take it out of the freezer
the day before
put it in the fridge untied and then put
it into the
oven whenever you're ready to cook it
always make sure you wrap it tightly
because you do not want to end up with
freezer
next to the hamburger patties with basil
and feta cheese
let's start by cutting the basil
just chop it up finely
finely chopped you can add it to the
ground beef
just cut the green onions finely can add
them
next up two garlic cloves
a little bit of salt
some pepper
kind of cheese
put some gloves on
all right let's edit

once they're done take some parchment
paper
and put them on top of it
take another piece of parchment paper to
separate the burgers
stick it in pot
this is one big burger
cover the last burger with an additional
sheet of parchment paper
take a freezer bag and slide the burgers
inside of the freezer bag
try to get as much air out of the bag as
you can store it in the freezer for up
to three months

alright next up is lasagna
and some parsley ricotta cheese some
parmesan and one egg
let's add egg to the bowl
add the parmesan cheese powder
add some parsley
let's mix it
[Music]
chop one onion
chop some garlic
brown the ground beef in a frying pan
drain any excess fat
cook the onions and garlic with the
ground beef
it's next first we're gonna put some of
the tomato sauce the marinara sauce on
the bottom
to spread out a few a little
good amount

add one layer of pre-cooked lasagna
noodles into the pan
[Music]
then one spoon of a
belgian sauce
[Music]
next is the layer of ground beef
[Music]
try to spread it out evenly
[Music]
sprinkle some mozzarella cheese over the
ground beef
[Music]
now repeat the layer starting with the
lasagna noodles again
another layer of ground beef
sprinkle over the mozzarella cheese
and another layer starting again with
the lasagna noodle
i finished up the lasagna with a total
of four layers
you can make as many layers as you want
to depending on how much ground beef you
have left
the last layer is going to be a layer of
pasta that you top with marinara sauce

finish up the lasagna with a thick layer
of mozzarella cheese on top of it
cover lasagna with two sheets of
aluminum foil
store the lasagna in the freezer for up
to three months
i only stored one of the lasagnas in the
freezer the other one i made right away
for dinner
the lasagna was so good we hit
everything in one day

so guys i had to stop cooking real quick
because there's this really cute visitor
we have right now
cutest thing ever
next up at the colombian empanadas
already creek caught a bunch of stuff
white onion potatoes cilantro
green onions tomatoes garlic peppers
for the colombian empanadas we need pan
one and a half cups to two cups
of pan of the cornmeal add about two
cups of water to the pan
and mix it throughly after add about
one teaspoon of vegetable oil
use your hands to mix the dough
let the dough rest for about 20 minutes
after that
start forming the outside shell of the
empanadas
i use parchment paper to not have the
dough stick to the table
also i use a underside of a pan
or a pot to flatten out the dough
this is my least favorite part about
making empanadas

put everything you need for the filling
in a pan and cook it
once it's done cooking let it cool down
a bit and start filling the empanadas
use about one tablespoon of the filling
don't overfill the empanadas otherwise
they won't close
use the parchment paper to fold the
empanada in half
then use a mug to give the empanada its
final shape and close it

once you're done with the empanadas
place them individually in the freezer
and let them freeze
once the empanadas are frozen store them
in freezer bags and keep them in the
freezer for up to three months
traditionally empanadas are fried i try
to do a more healthier version and put
them into the airfryer
cover the empanadas and oil and place
them into the airfryer
for 16 minutes at 380 degrees
this one is the ahi this goes with the
colombian empanadas
i would like to show you a picture of
the empanadas out of the airfryer but
they were so good i ate them all before
i took a picture
