Senate JUST Passed $1,400 Stimulus Checks!! [Details!]

the senate just passed the 1.9 trillion

stimulus package

this means hold ups regarding the

potential for joe manchin not voting on

the bill or

kirsten cinema not voting on the bill

the senate has been working all night

literally voting on amendments for over

24 hours straight

republican amendments such as preventing

all undocumented workers from getting

checks failed twice

amendments to prevent prisoners from

getting checks failed amendments to

replace the entire package

with a 650 billion dollar package failed

that package would have given 1400

checks to low and middle income

americans 500 to dependents

completely phase out at 50k for

individuals and 100k for couples

unemployment would have only gone

through june but that plan failed so we

don't need to talk too much about that

one

and ultimately the senate has passed the

1.9 trillion dollar package in a way

largely

similar with what democrats have passed

the senate stimulus package which is

officially passed now now goes back to

the house

where the house of representatives led

by nancy pelosi are expected to

pass the amended stimulus package

without further changes

the stimulus package would then get

signed by joe biden

likely the middle of next week the

stimulus package provides

full 1400 stimulus checks to individuals

making under 75k

after 80k individuals get zero full

checks go to couples making under 150k

couples making more than 160 thousand

dollars get

zero stimulus checks will go to all

dependents for

the filer so the checks go to the filer

and all of their dependents would

qualify for a 1400

check this means children college

students adult dependents they would all

qualify

of course that money goes to the person

at filing each person gets that full

1400 again

which means a family of five could get

seven thousand dollars checks should go

out faster than previous checks which

means checks could

start coming out by march 20th

there will be no boost to the minimum

wage state and local governments will

get 350 billion dollars 510 million

dollars will go to fema

for food and shelter programs the

unemployment boost will be 300

from march 15th through september 6th

the

first ten thousand two hundred dollars

of unemployment you will receive

will be tax free as long as you make

less than 150 000

which should be around 93 percent of

people on unemployment there are also

currently 11 million people receiving

unemployment benefits

snap food program benefits will be

extended through september instead of

june

the supplemental food program for women

infants and children will get an

additional 880 million

20 billion will go to rental assistance

programs two free stocks will go to you
