0:00

the stocks I'm about to mention assume

0:03

we don't go into a recession after I

0:06

mention these stocks we'll get into what

0:07

just happened to Microsoft and AMD hey

0:10

quick heads up before this video begins

0:12

if this week goes very bullish some

0:15

stocks that I would love exposure to but

0:17

I don't have exposure to you'll see why

0:20

on the first one Microsoft followed by

0:23

FICO and into it I have no positions on

0:25

any of those so I'm just giving you sort

0:26

of a free heads up my favorite stocks

0:29

right now still Apple Amazon ubiquity

0:31

watch that one and Robin Hood and then

0:35

some that I might be open to buying the

0:37

dip on paler we'll see Nvidia AMD we'll

0:41

see how the week goes I'm I'm torn on

0:44

that one I'm torn on that one and you'll

0:46

see in this video also why uh palente

0:49

here and face as for solar warant

0:52

they're seeing some of their sales drop

0:54

off because of concerns over the

0:56

election you know the removal of credits

0:58

versus keeping credits are accelerating

1:00

them right an see I'm a little too

1:02

nervous about the consumer the

1:03

discretionary on and still a little

1:06

nervous there on on where we sit for

1:08

Tesla for Q3 Q4 but I have to say giving

1:13

you heads up on some of these I'm not

1:15

necessarily making any moves right now

1:16

you know how to find out if I make every

1:18

single move or any move that I make but

1:20

uh I do think some of these names are

1:22

very interesting and I'm specifically

1:24

interested uh in my favorites Apple

1:27

Amazon ubiquity hood and Microsoft I go

1:30

into it which I don't have any exposure

1:32

to yet although I think I'm going to

1:33

have some time before feeling like I

1:35

need to rush in we'll see how it goes

1:37

the election's still coming up let's get

1:39

into the video well the first major

1:41

earnings are in Microsoft and AMD let's

1:44

talk about them we'll talk Microsoft

1:45

first then we'll talk AMD we'll touch on

1:47

Intel First Solar and some of the others

1:50

but most important here what's going on

1:52

with AI and are we going to be okay

1:56

tomorrow well that depends partly on how

2:00

markets want to trade going into JP

2:04

personally I don't actually think Jerome

2:06

Powell is going to be that big of a

2:08

catalyst I think earnings are going to

2:10

be the driver so tomorrow we'll have

2:13

focus on the next batch of AI earnings

2:16

but first let's talk about this batch of

2:19

AI earnings so initially Microsoft shot

2:23

down over 6 to 7% because they had a

2:28

Miss on some of their cloud and

2:30

intelligent Cloud Revenue guidance this

2:33

led markets to sell not only Microsoft

2:35

down but Nvidia down multiple other

2:37

stocks were red red red across the board

2:41

it wasn't until we got guidance in the

2:43

earnings call and an explanation in the

2:45

earnings call as to what happened that

2:47

everybody kind of

2:48

went okay the AI play at least for now

2:52

is still in motion and that's what we

2:54

got from both Microsoft and AMD in fact

2:58

Microsoft says not only are they adding

3:00

to their AI portfolio of AMD chips

3:03

Nvidia chips and their own chips but one

3:06

of the reasons they're adding chips is

3:08

because they do continue to see demand

3:10

growth and they're seeing an

3:12

acceleration in demand growth for Azure

3:15

this is a really big deal for Microsoft

3:17

and it should help companies like Amazon

3:20

also push up given that it seems like at

3:23

least on an Institutional level we're

3:25

still seeing more demand for AI now Lisa

3:28

Sue's opinion why this is happening is

3:32

not because people necessarily want to

3:34

keep investing in AI or because they

3:36

think it's the best thing since sliced

3:38

bread Lisa Sue instead has this

3:40

perspective that you have to invest in

3:43

AI you have no choice because if you

3:45

don't invest in AI you're going to lose

3:48

your operational efficiencies now I'm

3:51

going to be trading tomorrow morning

3:53

pretty actively going into the FED

3:55

meeting personally if I had to guess and

3:58

this would be my crystal ball it's

4:01

possible you have some fear going into

4:04

the FED meeting but honestly once you

4:06

get the FED meeting past and I I don't

4:08

think the fed's going to give us what

4:10

people want that is the tea up of the

4:12

September cut I've already talked about

4:13

that in the previous video but if

4:16

earnings keep going like this this is

4:19

good this is bullish this is a time to

4:22

start thinking about you know what maybe

4:24

you don't actually need Hedges on AI at

4:26

least according to these companies

4:28

because they're doing fantastic ially so

4:30

if you want to see exactly how I pos

4:32

position make sure you're part of the

4:33

stocks and psychology of money group

4:35

link down below you can bundle them up

4:36

with the other courses on building your

4:37

wealth my p&l right here uh 85k for the

4:42

day uh and let's see how green we can

4:44

make tomorrow as well we'll report it to

4:46

you anyway let's keep going with what we

4:49

had and again go to meetkevin.com if you

4:50

have questions email us at staff

4:52

meetkevin.com for those programs on

4:54

building your wealth so when it comes to

4:56

uh the some of the numbers that

4:58

Microsoft gave they gave a lot of talk

5:00

about how they grew chats about

5:03

155% or they grew usage or AI image

5:06

generation or whatever year-over year

5:09

the problem with that is they're in my

5:10

opinion they're really comparing because

5:12

they said since the fir like the first

5:14

half of the year they're comparing like

5:17

really uh January to July of 2023 to

5:22

January to July of

5:24

20124 which isn't really fair because AI

5:27

usage in January February was pretty

5:30

much flat in 2023 like there was no AI

5:33

usage it exploded towards the end of

5:35

March and really took off March April

5:38

May so of course you're going to have

5:40

more growth comparing 24 to 23 first

5:44

half they should have compared Q2 to Q2

5:49

but those numbers would not have been as

5:51

impressive I guarantee it uh okay I

5:54

can't guarantee it but that's my opinion

5:56

uh so it doesn't surprise me that they

5:57

kind of played with those numbers a

5:59

little bit and I have to say Lisa Sue

6:02

she you know she was asked hey how's the

6:04

demand going into next year and one of

6:07

her answers was as I already said well

6:09

you know they have no choice they have

6:11

to invest in AI but the other answers

6:14

that she gave I was a little caught off

6:16

guard by let's just put it this way she

6:20

says she's asked about it on the

6:21

conference uh on the conference call and

6:23

she goes well you know she's asked about

6:25

demand and she says well we're very

6:27

happy with the progress we're making on

6:29

our Mi 300 chips you know we're getting

6:32

those chips into people's hands uh we're

6:35

doing a great job we're a strong piece

6:38

of the AI story we're ramping Supply we

6:42

continue to invest in software to help

6:45

you know let people sort of enable these

6:47

chips inside of their businesses and so

6:51

she kind of dodged some of the demand

6:54

questions a bit she did at one point say

6:58

uh when somebody again asked about the

7:00

man she says quote overall we're very

7:02

pleased we feel very good we're on track

7:05

to LA and then she goes back into the

7:06

product cycle we're on track to launch

7:08

the Mi 325 later this year and the Mi

7:11

350 at the beginning of next year which

7:14

we think will compete with Blackwell

7:16

that's very bullish now she did give

7:19

this she did say overall we remain

7:22

bullish markets need more compute so

7:26

that sounded decent it wasn't like the

7:29

kind of bullishness that you would have

7:31

seen last year so I think you're

7:33

starting to see a little bit of a

7:34

Slowdown in bullishness but I have to

7:37

say any of my suspicion there was

7:40

relatively offset when I heard about the

7:42

numbers from Microsoft I mean really and

7:44

I said it before I don't have any

7:46

positions on Microsoft long or short but

7:48

I said it before the Microsoft earnings

7:50

came out said look Microsoft is if

7:52

there's anything if there's any company

7:55

that can take out a money printer and

7:56

just print money it's Microsoft they

7:59

they have such great margins on uh their

8:02

products and they just keep growing uh

8:06

and quite frankly that's what they

8:07

showed us here in fact they see in the

8:10

next quarter Azure to grow 28 to

8:14

29% and they see Azure growth growing

8:18

and accelerating to so that way they

8:21

could serve more of the growing AI

8:23

demand that's out there that's their

8:24

opinion so honestly that sounds really

8:27

bullish they say we continue to invest

8:30

in the demand that they see and then

8:32

they're asked like hey are you just are

8:34

you just buying a bunch of chips just to

8:37

buy them or what and they're like well

8:42

no we're buying them because we actually

8:45

see the demand in fact they said quote

8:49

Azure AI growth is the demand signal

8:53

we're only going to buy or spend the

8:57

capital Assets in if there's

9:01

demand so I have to say that's pretty

9:04

good I mean even though Lisa could have

9:07

been more bullish the fact that

9:09

Microsoft buys from Lisa's AMD and

9:12

Microsoft is like look we're only going

9:14

to buy if we see the

9:15

demand and we're buying because we see

9:18

the

9:18

demand that's pretty good you know so

9:22

full respect to Microsoft here you got

9:25

to hand it to them that's pretty

9:27

respectful and I'll tell you on a

9:30

technical basis I mean I'm not sure I I

9:34

you know like this

9:35

this this it's too early to say oh go

9:38

all in on bull but let's just say if

9:40

every earnings call goes the way these

9:43

two

9:44

went it's pretty good I mean remember

9:47

you still got a lot of big ones right

9:48

you got arm you got Facebook you got

9:51

Amazon you got Apple this week so we're

9:54

really really early on this week and a

9:58

lot of things can change

10:00

but I mean there are definitely going to

10:01

be people who look and go hey

10:03

Microsoft's still down 3 365 basis

10:07

points like Microsoft 365 okay uh you

10:11

know but but look it's down off of 468

10:14

hey I could get a discount hey look at

10:16

Nvidia sure it's up at 108 right now in

10:19

after hours but you know what did it

10:22

peek out at 140 so there are going to be

10:25

people who buy this dip oh AMD it's down

10:29

at 148 probably going to get rejected by

10:31

150 or the 160 line we'll see but it's

10:33

way down from 227 so will this be a sale

10:37

that gets bought

10:39

well obviously some of the sale has

10:42

already been bought in after hours but I

10:44

personally don't think after hours is a

10:46

very robust indicator of how the day is

10:48

going to go in fact I am concerned that

10:52

institutional investors who generally

10:54

trade during the day could use it as an

10:56

opportunity to sell the rip in other

10:59

people who still had AMD or Nvidia

11:01

exposure could potentially use the jump

11:04

tomorrow morning to sell now I'm not

11:08

trying to be bearish in fact I want to

11:09

be Crystal Clear if all of the earnings

11:12

this week are like this I will be forced

11:16

to adjust to a more bullish position

11:19

today I'm like a three and a half on the

11:21

bare scale and I'll tell you these two

11:24

earnings reports they don't justify a

11:26

three and a half on the bare scale these

11:27

are pretty good earnings earnings

11:29

reports I'll keep going with some of the

11:30

data that we had they say we're going to

11:32

continue to invest in the demand that we

11:34

see we feel well positioned says

11:36

Microsoft intelligent crowd is cloud is

11:39

expected to grow 18 to 22% LinkedIn in

11:42

the high single digits 365 at

11:45

14% yeah they'll have negative mid to

11:47

high teens on on Prem server installs

11:50

who cares uh but they talk about look

11:52

there's also a little bit of a lag that

11:54

we're going to have between us investing

11:56

in new chips so that expense and then

11:59

when that actually turns into Revenue

12:02

they say we should continue to have

12:03

Healthy Growth uh we are testing new

12:07

generative search experiences to get

12:09

more people using Bing they also claim

12:11

their gaining share which is interesting

12:14

against Google I want to see that they

12:16

say when people buy Microsoft co-pilot

12:18

seats they're coming back for more and

12:20

this is also true on Enterprise they say

12:22

commercial bookings were better than

12:24

expected larger long-term commitments

12:26

were better than expected and when

12:29

they're asked was there anything unusual

12:31

they're like no commercial keeps

12:34

executing uh you know guy did come in at

12:36

the lower end but the difference was

12:38

because of uh certain non AI segments

12:42

within Europe is what they're saying and

12:45

if you look at amd's growth their

12:48

projections you

12:50

had I mean hats off to them the numbers

12:53

were great listen this year quarter over

12:57

quarter uh you know or or uh this this

13:01

quarter over quarter growth so when you

13:02

look year over-ear quarter to quarter

13:06

growth was

13:07

7% uh year-over-year growth the whole

13:09

year to the whole year was 9% they're

13:11

now forecasting those numbers to move up

13:14

to

13:15

15% and 16% respectively in other words

13:19

that's really good and so some people

13:21

are going to look at AMD and they're

13:22

going to go maybe AMD is a cheap Nvidia

13:25

now Nvidia does not have the net

13:27

operating margins that invid Nidia does

13:29

remember Nvidia like they actually bring

13:33

I think it's like 30 cents on the dollar

13:35

to the bottom line I'll come look that

13:36

up really quick but I'm pretty sure

13:38

Nvidia brings like 30 cents to the

13:39

bottom line AMD brings like 5 cents to

13:42

the bottom line oh I'm sorry Nvidia is

13:45

bringing 55.9 cents to the bottom

13:49

line printer absolute printer of a

13:52

company AMD on the other hand on an

13:55

annual basis they're bringing about 22.5

13:59

sense to the bottom line so you have

14:00

about half of the net margin and on the

14:03

quarter basis they only brought 5% to

14:08

the bottom line so that's expected to

14:10

move up to that 20s range next quarter

14:14

so they're really coming out of a hole

14:15

that they're digging out of here but

14:17

they're really excited about this uh 300

14:21

series they're going to try to iterate

14:23

just like uh Nvidia is every single year

14:26

so they're going to go from the Mi 300

14:28

to the mi3 25 later this year the Mi 350

14:31

probably at the beginning of next year

14:33

they don't expect to see a lot of Mi 325

14:36

and 350 revenues at the uh end of this

14:38

year most of that will be in q1 they did

14:41

say that some uh income did come from

14:45

supercomputers in Q4 and q1 but most of

14:48

this Q2 Q3 income they're seeing now is

14:51

mostly mi30 which is basically like your

14:54

h100 Nvidia kind of competitor right

14:57

that's that's essentially what they're

14:58

trying to line it up with so the mi30 uh

15:03

is a gen AI accelerator uh and if you

15:06

ever hear the Instinct series that is

15:09

what it is it is the m uh the AMD

15:12

Instinct Mi 300 series uh for hyper

15:17

compute and uh you know

15:20

hyperscalers Cloud anyway regarding

15:23

noise regarding uh memory Lisa Su is

15:26

like don't worry about memory like

15:27

there's a lot of noise over there focus

15:29

on gpus and CPUs thought that was

15:32

interesting she cheered the fastest

15:34

production ramp they've ever done said

15:35

they're going to continue investing in

15:37

software talked about the acquisition of

15:39

these uh Silo team of scientists uh

15:42

which are useful for getting their

15:43

products up and running uh they think

15:45

the investment cycle will continue to be

15:47

strong they say companies are just going

15:49

to be forced to invest in in AI

15:52

otherwise they'll lose company

15:55

efficiency they're making significant

15:57

progress on their software stack

15:58

including their Open Source

16:00

Products uh how long let's see that no

16:04

no we already covered that covered that

16:05

covered that yeah okay so that's

16:07

Microsoft that's AMD very briefly

16:11

Starbucks actually missed across the

16:13

board but uh if I remember correctly

16:16

they missed across the board but their

16:17

stock is actually up uh that doesn't

16:20

sound right though but let me double

16:22

check I didn't think their numbers were

16:23

that great but they yeah CU their comp

16:27

sales missed uh in the United States and

16:30

in China uh us was mostly close to

16:32

expectation minus two China was minus 14

16:34

they were looking at 10 and North

16:38

America comps came in worse

16:39

International comps came in worse

16:41

Revenue came in worse yeah they pretty

16:42

much missed across the board but you

16:45

know the CEO in the earnings call says

16:47

they're seeing green shoots and I guess

16:48

that's all you have to say to get the

16:50

stock to move because now the sucker up

16:53

4% in the after hours we'll see how

16:55

robust that is in the AI in the AM we'll

16:59

see I I don't know I'm going to see what

17:01

happens uh and and then we'll trade

17:02

around it tomorrow

17:04

morning excuse me okay so uh bottom line

17:09

out of all this AMD Microsoft still

17:11

seeing growth and investing around that

17:14

uh Microsoft blamed it small Miss on non

17:16

aai in Europe uh eventually that'll roll

17:19

over but it's not happening yet then

17:22

you've got Intel plans to cut thousands

17:23

of jobs it's probably just a way of them

17:25

saying they just don't have the ability

17:27

to compete at this point so I don't

17:30

really think that

17:32

matters uh the um yeah yeah exactly

17:37

they're going to keep doing this Mi

17:38

Series so they're going to go Mi 325 350

17:41

400 blah blah blah they think the 350

17:43

will be relative to the Blackwell

17:46

infrastructure Nvidia does not have the

17:48

same margins as Nvidia has oh well I

17:50

meant to say Nvidia doesn't have the

17:52

same margins as uh AMD so maybe I had a

17:54

Joe Biden moment

17:56

there oh no never go Joe Biden moment

17:59

that's all right so anyway uh okay yeah

18:02

again as far as trading it's going to be

18:05

really interesting because tomorrow

18:06

morning you're going to open going into

18:09

Drome pow and I think expectations are

18:13

really high from J for jpow so I think

18:15

you could either fall before jpow or

18:18

after but the problem with that is if

18:21

you go beish and the next set of

18:25

earnings calls are as good as these

18:27

you're going to get hooked so there's an

18:30

interesting Duality for for how to play

18:32

this tomorrow so it'll be really

18:33

interesting to see how to play it uh

18:36

again tomorrow you're going to have ADP

18:38

in the morning employment cost index it

18:40

is fed day you'll also have Wing Stop

18:42

MasterCard blah blah blah then Wednesday

18:46

afternoon this is going to be huge meta

18:49

arm

18:51

qualcom carvana lamb research Etsy

18:54

Western Digital and cheesecake it's

18:56

going to be a really big day and it's

18:58

all going to be right before Apple

19:00
