hands on the TCL Note A1 NXT Paper. So,
this is a digital notetaking device with
a paper-like display designed for
writing, reading, and focus
productivity. Now, it's not trying to
replace your Android tablet. And it's
not here for entertainment either. This
is built for people who want fewer
distractions, longer focus sessions, and
a calmer way to work. And that's exactly
what we are going to look at today. how
it feels to use something like this and
who it really makes sense for. So,

So, what is the TCL Note A1 NXT paper?
So, this is a distractionfree note
takingaking and reading device with a
paper-like display designed to be easier
on the eyes and better for focus than
traditional tablets. It's built for
writing notes, planning, studying,
reading long documents, and
brainstorming ideas without
notifications or app overload getting in
the way. Think of it as a digital
notebook that sits between pen and paper
and a full tablet. It's ideal for
students, professionals, and creatives
who want a calm, focused workspace for
thinking and productivity rather than
entertainment or heavy multitasking.
Let's talk about that display. So, we're
looking at an 11.5 in NXT paper pure
display with a 2.2K resolution and 120
Hz refresh, delivering a full color
paper-like viewing experience without
ghosting or motion blur. It's protected
by TUVcertified 3A crystal shield glass
with anti-glare, anti-reflection, and
anti-fingerprint coatings. And it's
SGScertified for low blue light below
2.44% 44% making it comfortable for long
reading and writing sessions. Now, other
specs beyond the display. This thing
also has 256 gigs of internal storage
and an 8,000 mAh battery built in for
long reading and writing sessions. You
also get an 8 microphone array with
intelligent noise reduction for clear
voice capture and an integrated
fingerprint sensor for secure access.
Now, the writing experience is a major
part of what makes this device special,
and TCL has put some serious efforts
into it. The TPEN Pro supports 8,192
levels of pressure sensitivity and under
5 millisecond latency. And it uses an
Xlinear motor to add subtle haptic
feedback that mimics the resistance of
real paper. Now, you've got a dual tip
design. So, this end for writing and the
other end is an eraser. So, if you just
flip it around and you'll be able to
erase everything you've been writing.
And what's interesting about the eraser
is whilst you're erasing, haptics kick
in and you can feel a vibration. It
actually feels great to erase stuff on
this um using the eraser on the back.
And this dual tip combination gives the
writing experience that fluid feel. It's
precise. It feels as natural as a
regular notepad and pen. And this
product has achieved the world's first
TUV Rhineland pencil like writing
certification. It's uh remarkable how
well this works. You've got palm
rejection. So your palm is doing nothing
to that screen. You can naturally write
away you can move your palm around
whilst you're writing. So really good
palm rejection, guys. Now the rear
camera on the TCR Note A1 isn't designed
for photography. It's there for
productivity. It's mainly used for
scanning documents, capturing
handwritten notes or whiteboards, and
grabbing text or diagrams that you can
then read, annotate, or turn into notes
on the NXT paper display. Think of it as
a utility camera that supports studying
and work rather than something meant for
social media or creative shots. Now,
beyond hardware, the Note A1 integrates
a deep set of AI powered productivity
tools. All right, so we are testing out
the audio to text transcription. It's
transcribing a 7second audio clip. And
there it is, auto detected using AI. You
can see what it says there. All right.
So, we are testing out the audio to text
transcription.
>> All right. So, we are testing out the
audio to text transcription.
>> Handwriting to text conversion. So, it
can convert handwritten notes into type
notes. You got handwritten formula
recognition. So, it's capable of
recognizing handwritten mathematical
formulas and then calculating the
results for you. as well. You got
writing assistant rewriting and
summarization using AI. So you got the
accelerator for writing efficiency. TCL
AI can expand, translate and summarize
based on your existing content, thereby
boosting your writing efficiency. It
supports over 15 file formats, including
PDF, Word, and PowerPoint, and offers
seamless syncing across cloud services
and local devices, so you can plug in a
USBC drive if you wanted. Now,
inspiration space on the Note A1 is
designed to keep all your ideas in one
place, organized, easy to find, and
ready whenever you need them. If
something you're reading inspires you,
you simply press and hold the button on
the stylus and draw a circle around it,
and it gets saved straight into
inspiration space for quick access later
when you need it. On top of that,
inspiration AI can build on what you've
saved, helping turn scattered notes and
ideas into something more structured and
actually useful. All right, now let's
talk design. This thing is very wellmade
and premium. It's made from an aluminum
unibody. It's ultras slim at only 5.5 mm
and it weighs only 500 g. In the hands,
it feels well balanced and comfortable
to hold for long writing sessions.
Whether you're using it flat on the desk
or holding it one-handed like a
notebook, the slim profile makes it easy
to move around. There is no flashy
styling or unnecessary detail. It's
designed to stay out of your way, and
after prolonged use, that minimal design
starts to make more sense. And a smooth
metal finish gives it a very premium
feel without being too slippery. At the
bottom, you have a type-C charging port,
and you have what looks like a speaker
grill. On the right over here, you have
a cutout where you can drop your pen and
it holds on magnetically, and it also
charges the pen and gives you an
indication of the battery life. And up
on top, you have a speaker and a power
button. And on this side we have
nothing. On the back we do have a single
camera and some poger pins for the
connection with the keyboard. And I'll
show you that in action in a minute. And
on the front we have a home button. You
can see the bezels are quite apparent
going all the way around. And this part
especially is wider where you have the
button built into that bezel. So you can
hold the tablet firmly without your
finger going on the touchcreen and
giving you accidental presses. So it
gives you a nice comfortable way of
holding this device uh whilst you're
writing and jotting or not taking. Now
let me quickly show you what you get
inside the box. So in the box you'll
find a user manual, a USBC charging
cable, a cleaning cloth, the TCL TEN Pro
stylus, some extra tips to go with it.
You get a really nice premium keyboard
cover case to go with it. And last but
certainly not least, the TCL Note A1 NXT
paper. Okay, quick look at the keyboard
case. So, we got a keyboard case here
with a cutout for the camera. So, over
here, the camera and the pog pins. You
just drop it on top and it's held in
place magnetically. You can attach the
stylus magnetically on the top and you
can close the tablet and away you go.
Pop it in your bag or hold it in your
hand. The case is made from a rubberized
material which feels really grippy so
it's not going to fall out your hands.
Now, if you want to use the keyboard
size of side of things, you lift the
tablet up like you're taking the case
off and slide it upwards. You can see
the pogo pins here. And this is the flap
that will come up automatically when it
connects to the back of the tablet. So,
what we're doing here is
that's it. So, the keyboard is now ready
to use. This flap over here can be
pulled off if you want to type
comfortably. So, we have here a full
quad keyboard. You got a bunch of
controls on top for brightness, volume,
mute, etc. And it is a chicklet
keyboard. I don't believe it's back lit.
I don't see a backlit button here. But
there is a light that illuminates when
caps lock is active. So chicklet
keyboard feels nice to type on, no
doubt. And also
gives you plenty of travel as well. And
it's not too noisy. It's a very nice
premium comfortable keyboard and you can
do all your web browsing stuff on there.
So the device is limited, but there are
options as well. You've got Outlook as
well for emails. So, who is this device
for? Well, it's suited for a specific
type of user. So, it's ideal for
students, writers, researchers,
professionals, or anyone who values
focus and long-term thinking. It's not
designed for gaming, media consumption,
or app heavy multitasking. But you do
have some capabilities here. So, you can
go into file manager, and then you'll
recognize that this is based on an
Android system. Now, if you were to plug
in a USB drive using a USBC adapter and
as soon as you see the USB icon, swipe
down and then you'll have full access to
that USB flash drive. If you have some
interesting photos, you can certainly
display it on the screen. And this
display is pretty nice. It gets really
bright. 120 Hz refresh. And the colors
are pretty nice as well. As you guys can
see, even though it's not designed for
it, I was able to play 1080p movies on
this.
I'm sorry.
>> Now, this is not really designed to
watch movies on. It works because I knew
a workaround, but being an Android back
end, you can sideloadad APKs. The apps
that are included, you've got Microsoft
Edge. So, there is a web browser
included, and that means you can play
videos on YouTube. So, there you have
it, guys. That was the TCL Note A1 NXT
paper. What really sets it apart? You're
getting a full 2.2K 2K 120 Hz display
that's smooth and responsive for
writing, but it still keeps that
paper-like eye friendly feel usually
associate with e ink readers. There's no
ghosting, no noticeable lag when you're
writing, and it's genuinely more
comfortable to use for long sessions
than a typical glossy tablet. And when
you add the TEN Pro stylus into the mix
with the strong battery life and the
lightweight aluminium build, this feels
like a proper productivity device as
opposed to a media tablet trying to play
the part. So bottom line, the TCL Note
A1 NXT paper isn't about specs or
entertainment. It's about workflow. If
you want a device that helps you
organize your ideas, take better notes
and stay locked into what you are doing
without constant distractions. This
delivers that experience in a clean,
wellexecuted way. That's all for this
video. Drop a comment with your
thoughts. Like the video if you found it
useful and sub to the channel if you are
new. Thank you so much for watching and
I'll catch you all in the next one.
Peace.
