this world and its potential is

0:04

absolutely amazing that is a gift that

0:09

is worth fighting for women are the

0:11

embedment of Hope and possibility they

0:14

are Delight that'll guide us in reaching

0:17

a more sustainable peaceful and just

0:25

World women women women women women

0:30

women women women

0:32

women women rise

0:34

[Music]

0:36

for why has gender inequality been a

0:39

question to begin

0:40

with gender inequality affects all of us

0:45

we look around tables and we are fewer

0:47

and fewer women only with the inclusion

0:49

of women and girls it's possible to

0:52

bring societies forward we don't have a

0:54

lot of support when it comes to child

0:56

care Financial Security education every

0:59

day women are are held back by

1:01

structural discrimination and we need to

1:03

ensure that we push forward for gender

1:08

[Music]

1:15

equality when we talk about we the women

1:17

this is about Community this is about

1:19

bringing the world with

1:21

[Music]

1:24

us we have to focus on having our women

1:27

in leadership so they can actually move

1:29

that needle toward towards those

1:30

promises that were made when women lead

1:33

with redefined boundaries set new

1:36

standards and Inspire inclusive

1:38

transformational changes women are in

1:41

the Forefront of

1:44

[Music]

1:54

change my whole perspective on life

1:57

society and livelihood I've changed

2:00

because I got an education something in

2:03

me said no that's not enough I want to

2:06

go all the

2:07

[Music]

2:11

way and I wish it was the same for other

2:14

countries I mean there are countries

2:15

where women are forcefully taken out of

2:18

educational institutes they're not

2:21

allowed it should become a global goal

2:25

access to education should be available

2:27

to

2:28

all ch care is still an issue proper

2:31

access to education is an issue like you

2:33

name it there are still issues that

2:35

existed 30 years ago that I'm facing

2:37

those changes only happen the

2:38

collaboration only happens when we see

2:40

each other at the table and when we can

2:42

see and understand the differences that

2:44

we all have and the lived experiences

2:47

that bring us together to shape the

2:49

things that we want to see

2:50

happen education itself is a pipeline

2:53

into

2:54

leadership education is not just

2:57

literacy and

2:58

numeracy this is a

3:01

Birthright quality education makes

3:03

critical thinkers creative

3:07

thinkers I come from a country that has

3:10

been in internal conflict for so many

3:14

years 50 years of war in Colombia and

3:16

you see how a lot of the violence is

3:19

specific to

3:21

women sexual violence losing your kids

3:24

seeing your husbands killed in

3:27

conflict and I was also present there

3:30

when we signed the peace agreement that

3:32

was

3:33

historic peace Justice strong

3:36

institutions those three come together

3:38

all the time in we women survey 38% of

3:42

women said that peace Justice and strong

3:45

institutions are one of the top

3:47

priorities to live in a safe

3:50

country we are striving for peace

3:53

whether we know it or not this is the

3:54

thing that connects all of us when we're

3:56

thinking about ways to connect the

3:58

collective and us as a Humanity this is

4:01

a great place to

4:04

start without peace you don't have

4:06

infrastructure and that means access to

4:09

a better health to a better education to

4:11

a better social economical life peace is

4:13

related to all of these areas of

4:18

life if women are feeling insecure about

4:22

their ability to escape their current

4:24

situation due to economic constraints it

4:26

will compromise their ability to take a

4:29

leadership position that could lead to

4:31

something

4:32

[Music]

4:46

more having Financial Security leads to

4:50

agency and the ability to make choice

4:54

[Music]

5:03

[Music]

5:20

[Music]

5:29

the largest subcategory within climate

5:32

change that came back as a concern was

5:35

the extent to which it would impact

5:37

health and

5:41

wellness the survey reflects that one of

5:44

the concerns of women it's about mental

5:47

health almost half the women said it is

5:51

a barrier for them to fully live the

5:55

life in their own terms if we look at

5:57

the African continent if if anybody

6:00

complains about being depressed for

6:01

example it is treated not as an illness

6:04

it is swept under the cupet and it does

6:06

not get the right

6:08

attention we suffer from a lot of issues

6:11

s image issues postnatal depression

6:14

issues that people don't understand and

6:17

it is just disregarded we tend to have a

6:20

heavier burden we take care of people

6:22

take care of children we give birth so

6:24

these things have negative effects if it

6:27

is not dealt properly

6:31

breaking the stigma of mental health

6:34

starts with a single conversation one

6:37

that encourages openness understanding

6:41

and creates a safe

6:43

space without a healthy

6:48

Nation you will not have a healthy

6:51

mother father a good

6:55

Workforce take care of health of your

6:58

citizens and then the rest of Po peace

7:01

comes from within my mental health is

7:04

the center I can live a life I enjoy

7:08

when women have access to health

7:11

education and Justice they will become

7:19

[Music]

7:21

Unstoppable all of us together moving

7:24

forward in the creation of a better

7:27

world where everybody wins

7:31

[Music]

7:33

women as decision makers is a

7:37

necessity we don't have enough women at

7:40

the top it is so important that we are

7:43

making and shaping decisions because

7:46

those decisions affect us how many women

7:49

do we have as presidents or prime

7:53

ministers but it is not just those

7:56

positions that we need to hold what is

7:58

unique about the way women lead they are

8:01

more passionate have more empathy they

8:03

see the value of Peace women decision

8:06

makers make decisions for everyone they

8:09

bring their perspectives they bring

8:11

their lived experience they bring

8:13

totally different skill sets to the

8:16

table and do it in a lens where they're

8:18

taking into account so many different

8:20

parts of their Community 85% of women

8:23

see themselves as advocates and act as

8:26

advocates the present order of G

8:29

inequality will shift

8:32

[Music]

8:35

dramatically as we start to think about

8:37

how we can leverage with AI but we're

8:41

really trying to create a stronger

8:43

future and our livelihoods depend on

8:47

it more than twice as many women see

8:50

artificial intelligence as an

8:51

opportunity compared to a threat women

8:53

in leadership roles are

8:55

disproportionately impacted online it's

8:58

really scary great technology can be

9:01

used as a tool and a weapon we see that

9:04

women are facing so much more hardships

9:07

online being targeted with deep fakes

9:11

Miss and disinformation or you know

9:13

other AI generated content everyone has

9:16

a role to play in helping to safeguard

9:18

and put in safety braks for those issues

9:20

but one of the things that makes me

9:21

hopeful maybe we use it to solve some of

9:24

these challenging issues that we've

9:25

faced for I don't even know how long in

9:29

the survey we see how women around the

9:31

world are paying attention to this

9:33

specific Tech Tool how to get their

9:36

hands on this Tech because it is going

9:38

to change the world and I think we

9:41

should be able to participate in that

9:47

change I think it's really important now

9:50

that we listen to the voices of women

9:52

think of the people who have paved the

9:55

ways for us we need the power the

9:58

knowledge the innovative ideas of women

10:02

before us I find inspiration from the

10:06

women of my family I'm half Afghan and

10:08

half Moroccan and I grew up with very

10:12

strong Afghan women surrounding me and

10:16

so I was blessed with having two

10:18

different perspectives in my household

10:20

as I stand on the shoulders of many

10:22

women before me now is the time for that

10:25

intergenerational discussion to happen

10:27

it will be worthwhile young women doing

10:29

that today and hopefully they won't

10:31

carry the baggage of my generation

10:33

there's a positive wind

10:38

flowing I hope that our message gets to

10:41

you and that this is not just another

10:43

survey you look at but a survey we act

10:46

on of course I wonder what is this for

10:49

and hopefully it becomes something

10:51

tangible in the world real policies real

10:54

actions real organizing of people

10:56

changing the world from the better think

10:59

globally and act locally think about the

11:02

world in general do the best we can at

11:05

our own level change only comes when we

11:08

collectively come together work together

11:10

there's Solutions and those Solutions

11:12

can turn into action wake up wake up

11:15

let's wake up all of this work all of

11:19

this

11:20

advocacy is because equality and justice

11:24

[Music]

11:27

matter I feel optimistic and apparently

11:31

I'm not the only one the survey has

11:33

found the women around the world are

11:37

hopeful when women rise so does

11:41

hope my we the women first started with

11:44

my mother and four sisters and I have

11:46

four daughters and I have two

11:48

granddaughters I am surrounded by women

11:50

that's what's being sustainable in this

11:52

whole journey that if I am to fall I

11:55

know that women will catch me when we

11:57

listen to women around the world we

11:59

understand what the real issues on the

12:00

ground are but we also learn about the

12:02

ways we can solve them societies who are

12:05

more equal societies to bring women

12:08

forward they are much more successful

12:10

and as we look to the Future it is we

12:13

the women that will provide that space

12:15

that imagination that inspiration that

12:17

can do the solutions to finding our path
