more detail because we're expecting a

baby and um you're not pregnant I'm not

pregnant no we tried for a while a

really long time so the background story

is that we are thinking about having a

baby probably I don't know because it's

too emotional oh no

he's on the floor literally

um we had been wanting to have another

baby since before the pandemic and we

actually had started talking about how

we needed to uh go to the fertility

clinic because that's how I conceived my

first two

um we're like let's you know do this but

then the pandemic hit and we're like

okay first of all the fertility clinics

were closed second uh we're like I don't

know or we don't know if it's a good

idea IDE idea right now to try to get

pregnant like the covet thing was so new

and unknown so we're like okay let's put

a halt to that

you just want to hear the video okay

keep going no you're good Max

okay we'll make sure you get deleted

anyway uh so we put a halt on that and

we had been trying to you know do it

without the fertility help while the

clinic was closed and everything like

that then once it opened up again we did

a few rounds of IVF and I got my eggs

extracted because other routes that had

worked prior were no longer working so

we're like we got to be more aggressive

um we had a lot of failures just put it

that way to not you know have so many

details but a lot of failures that

basically wasn't my fault no it wasn't

his fault

um it's not my fault either we tried the

power up stars um but ultimately we

decided that uh we needed to be really

really aggressive that's literally a

quote from our way nature works

sometimes our doctor said we had to be

super aggressive if we wanted a baby and

so we thought okay let's let's get

really aggressive and we decided to go

down the surrogacy route and we found an

amazing surrogate that I couldn't be

more happy with and she is pregnant and

we have uh some ultrasound pictures

which we'll put up on screen here and we

what we're hoping is that people can

check out the ultrasound picture here

and guess the gender and as well as

maybe leave some suggested names uh down

below we're pretty excited and we'll uh

you know I think uh maybe uh in a week

or two when once we're uh you know ready

to reveal gender

um we'll we'll do so what do you think

so with IVF uh and every egg retrieval

we do know a lot about every individual

the baby that we are expecting we know a

lot about it so we do know the gender we

know a lot of background for uh

chromosomal uh issues or lack thereof

things like that which is super cool

that's a huge perk with IVF and yeah I

guess so do you still have to do that

like

um

amniocentesis or whatever it's called at

18 weeks where they they stick that long

beads that's only if you if you're

determined through

through blood work or whatever whatever

that there is a reason to do that oh

like an abnormality yeah you don't do

that just like but you wouldn't do that

because now with IVF and basically like

a science uh you already know you don't

have those sort of abnormalities

chromosomally speaking Yeah so like we

would know that uh our uh all of our

embryos or whatever that were made don't

have Down syndrome or the ones obviously

that would be transferred we wouldn't

put any chromosomally abnormal ones into

okay you gotta stop shooting man

so uh I guess the question then is uh is

this actually your baby are you actually

the mom yeah so that actually was a

funny discussion which I know there's a

language language barrier with your dad

but he was a little confused at first

about like how you maybe needed to go

over to this surrogate where she lives

and like get the job done even though

that's that's not it at all these are

completely mine and Kevin's kids that

are in the freezer and the one that is

in the surrogate so they're Patriot dish

babies they are so they are both our

genes that were yeah made in a piano uh

yeah but it is really interesting

because we've never been down there

before we used to do just uh fertility

like meds or whatever for the two babies

that we have now Max and Jack uh I

actually really realized after our

years-long struggle that what I had to

go through with Jack and Max to conceive

was relatively pretty easy and painless

and it was just a really big slap in the

face when it no longer worked like

bluntly speaking my doctor told me like

I don't know why but you are literally

not reacting to the medications that

completely worked before clearly with

Jack and Max so it just kind of twirled

us around in our world and we're like

okay we have to reevaluate and because

we want an army of children and we we

want to provide a great an awesome life

for the children and we uh well I mean

if you can't have more because all of a

sudden the medicine that used to work

isn't working anymore

you know change gotta try something

different you gotta flip-flop on the

medicine so we flip-flopped on medicine

and knock on wood this seems to be

working now which is really exciting

we're already almost first past the

first trimester which is the scary one

right uh yeah yeah so in I think a

couple weeks what are we at 11. we're at

like 11 and a half wow that's really

cool yeah so um that's uh that's the

update here we'll have some more meat x

uh fill in fill in the blank uh children

uh at some point uh hopefully many uh

many in the future but uh I will start

here yeah I would like to actually

really both genders because we're not

revealing the gender right now but I

would love to see name recommendations

um I mean you can see that we like

simple names like Jack and Max

um that's true we could use chat GPT we

could have a chat GPT baby you know by

the way there's also a cool thing for

finance folks if you invest in an HSA
