hi welcome back to ask the expert I'm

Paul today we've got a question about

grinding disc and that question is can

you cut with a grinder disc

absolutely no problem at all these

products are reinforced three times and

they are tough as anything so you not

only can you grind with these products

under heavy pressure you can also cut

through material with them with no

problems whatsoever however the issue is

with cutting with the granite dish is

the thickness of these discs this one is

seven millimeters which is quite typical

of a grind it is thickness and that's a

lot of material to push through the

metal you're trying to cut so it will do

it but it won't be very efficient if

you've got metal cutting to do you're

much better off getting yourself a

dedicated metal cutting disc

but whilst grinding discs are or can be

used for grinding and cutting cutting

discs can be used for cutting only never

for grinding as they are not as well

reinforced as a grinding disc and could

break okay so to sum it up grinder disk

can be used for grinding and cutting

cutting discs for cutting only I hope
