Donald Trump just gave us a huge

0:01

breakdown on a lot of different things.

0:04

Russia, Ukraine, what's going on in DC,

0:07

and I'm going to give you a complete

0:08

breakdown of everything that you need to

0:11

know. Quick note, Tesla rallying really

0:15

nicely today. Up 4.75%

0:20

at the time of this recording, pretty

0:21

much straight up all day long. And I

0:25

have to say this was our call in the

0:28

alpha report this morning. This morning

0:31

we were trading in the low 330s and I

0:34

said to course members, folks, we're

0:36

going to 347 within the next 48 hours.

0:39

We skyrocketed at the open and we've

0:42

been up all day so far today. Couple

0:45

reasons for that. That's really a topic

0:46

for a different video. But if you want

0:48

those alpha reports, make sure you join

0:49

at meet.com.

0:51

Use coupon code JHole in honor of

0:53

Jackson Hole coming up. Okay. So, what

0:55

did Donald Trump just say? Russia,

0:58

Ukraine, DC, uh, as well as some

1:01

comments on marijuana, which could

1:03

potentially be a hit for marijuana

1:05

stocks. Not in the way, uh, you would

1:08

potentially think. Uh, well, let's go

1:10

through all of it. So, uh, first, Donald

1:12

Trump, uh, talks about rescuing the

1:14

nation's capital. Basically, liberation

1:16

day in DC. We already talked about the

1:18

deploying of the National Guard. His

1:20

reason for that is he says the DC murder

1:22

rate is higher than that of Bogota,

1:25

Colombia or Mexico City. Bogota has a

1:27

murder rate of about 14 per 100,000.

1:30

Mexico City only about eight per 100,000

1:33

of course when I say only obviously

1:35

eight is still a lot of dead people but

1:37

anyway DC in 2024 at 27.3 which is more

1:42

than three times as much as Mexico City

1:45

and nearly double Bogotaa's uh rate.

1:49

Now, Donald Trump cited 41 out of

1:51

100,000. I think what they're doing is

1:53

they're extrapolating the first half of

1:55

2025. Uh, and then doubling it. Uh, and

1:59

that's how they're getting to their 41

2:01

out of 100,000. Donald Trump says,

2:03

"We're doing emergency curfews. We're

2:05

getting rid of the slums. We are going

2:07

to get rid of the homeless situation. We

2:10

are declaring a public safety emergency.

2:12

And Pam Bondi is going to take over the

2:14

Metropolitan Police Department." Uh

2:17

Donald Trump says that America shouldn't

2:19

be dirty, graffitied, and people should

2:21

not get mugged and certainly not in the

2:24

nation's capital. He also says that we

2:27

should have fixed potholes, medians,

2:29

roads. We are going to do it and we're

2:31

going to do it right and we're going to

2:32

do it quickly. We're not going to let

2:34

permits get in the way. We are going to

2:37

do it. Now, this is very uh Trumpy and

2:40

there are a few things to know here.

2:42

One, uh consider countries like Japan,

2:45

for example. I just visited Japan for 10

2:46

days. I have to say for the lack of

2:50

trash cans that they have in public,

2:52

what a clean country. I mean, the ground

2:55

is clean. The railings are clean.

2:57

There's hand sanitizer filled

2:58

everywhere. Not like empty sanitizer

3:01

stations. Like, there's actually hand

3:03

sanitizer everywhere. It's very, very

3:05

clean. Every escalator staircase feels

3:07

very clean. Soon as we get back to Los

3:10

Angeles, I've got my seven and nine year

3:12

olds going, "Oh my gosh, these

3:14

escalators are gross." Going into LA,

3:16

uh, LAX, Los Angeles International

3:18

Airport, it's like, "Welcome to

3:20

America." It's all like 1970s yellow and

3:24

gross and and they don't really want to

3:26

touch it and hand sanitizer stations are

3:28

empty. But anyway, this is where Donald

3:30

Trump is saying, "Hey, we we want to

3:32

beautify America's capital. We don't

3:35

want dirty. We don't want graffiti. We

3:37

want uh actual clean and safe capital.

3:41

I'm actually a big fan of that. I'm a

3:43

big fan of investing into making our

3:45

country beautiful. It's the greatest

3:47

country in the world and should be. Now,

3:49

when it comes to this talk about

3:50

marijuana, I what was really interesting

3:53

here is Donald Trump in questioning was

3:55

asked about, hey, uh, you know, what's

3:59

your take on potential marijuana

4:01

restrictions on a federal basis? Because

4:03

remember there's been so much talk about

4:05

legal marijuana and also so much action

4:08

by states on legal marijuana. And Donald

4:10

Trump says, you know, I've heard great

4:12

things uh great things about medical,

4:14

other things not so much. This is

4:16

somewhat implying that there could be

4:18

some changes coming for uh marijuana in

4:21

terms of recreational use for marijuana.

4:24

that is potentially legalizing federally

4:26

marijuana for medical purposes but not

4:29

for recreational purposes and

4:30

potentially having more restrictions for

4:32

recreational p purposes which could have

4:34

some impacts for some of those marijuana

4:36

stocks. Something to pay attention to

4:38

and this is a clear signal from the

4:40

Trump administration here. Now something

4:42

else to know about Donald Trump when it

4:44

comes to permits. Uh in the Wall Street

4:46

Journal actually had a great uh article

4:47

on this uh on Donald Trump and state

4:50

capitalism. uh they said that Donald

4:53

Trump really runs uh the United States,

4:56

kind of much like China runs China. Uh

5:00

and as much as everybody kind of thought

5:02

over history that China would end up

5:04

trying to become like the United States

5:06

in the future, whereas China becomes

5:08

sort of a free market capitalistic

5:10

country. Instead, it looks like China is

5:13

well, the United States is more modeling

5:15

after China uh by, for example,

5:18

demanding the resignation of the Intel

5:20

CEO, demanding golden shares, uh such as

5:23

in the Nepon Steel takeover, uh

5:25

demanding that Donald Trump is able to

5:27

direct 1.5 trillion, quote unquote,

5:30

countries dispute how much of this is

5:31

actually going to get invested, but

5:33

Donald Trump demands the right to direct

5:35

where those investments are going to go.

5:37

And so they call this sort of this

5:38

hybrid between socialism and capitalism.

5:41

And really it it's a way of blowing past

5:45

sort of some of that regulation and

5:47

lawyerliness,

5:49

uh, says the Wall Street Journal, which

5:51

is exactly what you just saw Donald

5:52

Trump say. Donald Trump just said, "Hey,

5:54

like we're not going to, you know, worry

5:56

about some designer worried about

5:58

permits for fixing the medians. We're

6:00

just going to fix it. We're going to do

6:01

it right and we're just going to do it."

6:03

Uh and in in fairness like that is one

6:06

of the things that has become very

6:07

annoying in the United States. The

6:09

lawyerliness that slows or blocks down

6:13

building or housing construction or

6:15

actually advancing the country. It's one

6:17

of the reasons why China is able to

6:19

advance so quickly when it comes to

6:21

building. The problem with this is when

6:23

a state dictates building, you tend to

6:26

lessen growth. Uh, for example, uh, when

6:30

China directed real estate investments,

6:32

what happened? You ended up with a

6:34

massive real estate crash. When China

6:36

directed manufacturing investments, what

6:38

happened? You ended up with a massive

6:39

manufacturing crash because you

6:41

oversupplied and you did so poorly. Uh,

6:44

and you didn't let the free market guide

6:47

investments. Instead, you directed uh,

6:50

in an inefficient manner capital

6:51

allocation which led to slower growth or

6:53

a crash. If you look at other sort of

6:56

crony policy states, you could look at

6:59

uh countries like Brazil, Russia or

7:02

France, all of them experiencing

7:04

significantly slower growth over the

7:06

long term than the United States where

7:10

we generally let the free market dictate

7:12

uh investments. This is why government

7:14

directed initiatives like the Foxcon

7:16

facility or the Tesla Buffalo solar

7:19

facility uh have all sort of failed in

7:23

uh you know state directed investment uh

7:27

for actually growing or creating growth.

7:30

This is likely because the free market

7:32

is generally a much better allocator.

7:34

You know, look, for example, at if we

7:36

had a free market for cars, which we

7:38

don't because we've got auto unions and

7:40

manufacturers that really desire

7:42

protectionist policies like tariffs and

7:45

that, uh, we probably would all have

7:48

substantially more vehicle choice and

7:51

substantially cheaper vehicle choice,

7:53

which I personally sort of compare to

7:55

like the potential that we would all be

7:57

getting annual stimulus checks if it

8:00

weren't for car tariffs or car

8:02

restrictions. This is a complicated

8:04

argument. It's basically the argument

8:05

that cars would be so much cheaper if we

8:08

just allowed the free market to regulate

8:10

cars that it would be much like every

8:12

American family getting an extra $2,000

8:15

a year uh because they wouldn't be

8:17

spending all of this wasteful money on

8:19

expensive cars because we'd have a lot

8:21

more choice. That's when the free market

8:23

dictates, right? But unions and

8:25

protectionists policies which other

8:27

countries do as well like the EU or even

8:29

countries within the European Union or

8:31

otherwise uh we have more expensive

8:33

vehicles as a result. But anyway, Donald

8:35

Trump going back to sort of this uh this

8:38

idea of sort of bulldozing some of these

8:40

lawyerly policies. Uh again makes it

8:43

clear that Pam Bondi is going to take

8:44

control of the Metropolitan Police

8:46

Department. He says we will bring in the

8:48

military if needed. This is a pretty uh

8:51

blunt statement there. He also says

8:53

we're going to be removing homeless camp

8:55

encampments. We are going to make this

8:56

one of the safest places in the country

8:59

and we will do this to other cities as

9:01

well if we need to. Uh he directly

9:04

mentioned Chicago as one. Uh directly

9:07

mentioned obviously LA which has already

9:09

been done. Uh and we'll also be looking

9:11

at New York City, which is also uh a

9:15

direct sort of heads up and warning.

9:17

Though he does say this in a way of,

9:19

hey, hopefully these cities will start

9:21

regulating themselves and then we won't

9:23

need to. Now, regarding Russia and uh

9:26

his meeting with Putin, Donald Trump

9:28

says he's going to speak with the

9:30

European delegations as well as Zalinski

9:33

before going into the m meeting with

9:35

Putin, but that this will be a meeting

9:37

with Putin alone and not with Sinsky. So

9:39

that way Trump can go into the meeting

9:41

with everybody's information and then

9:44

determine whether or not a deal can be

9:45

made. Donald Trump does say that there's

9:48

going to be a lot of land swapping going

9:49

on, which will be good for Ukraine, but

9:51

also bad for Ukraine, but it'll also be

9:53

good for Russia and also bad for Russia.

9:56

Donald Trump wants to get Russia to be

9:58

focused on positive trade versus just a

10:00

wartime economy, and he thinks he can

10:02

negotiate with that uh sort of thesis at

10:06

least. Uh he says there will be land

10:08

swapping though and we're going to try

10:10

to get some prime property back or land

10:12

back for Ukraine given that Ukraine has

10:15

lost so much land. It seems like Donald

10:17

Trump is pretty convinced that uh

10:20

Ukraine has already lost land so they

10:22

may as well just kind of like negotiate

10:25

some of it back. Uh this is a current

10:27

map of where we stand. You could see

10:29

these eastern regions here. Uh this

10:32

Crimea had already been taken. Uh but uh

10:35

you could see this spread here towards

10:37

the nepro uh by Russia and uh Russia

10:42

pretty much wants all of this and of

10:44

course Zinsky wants to give up zero of

10:46

it. So finding that compromise is going

10:49

to be a challenge and Donald Trump says

10:51

that he's going to work on exactly that.

10:54

Europeans are somewhat freaking out that

10:56

Donald Trump is going to make a deal

10:58

without them. Uh and this is why they

11:00

are stressing meeting Donald Trump first

11:03

before that Friday meeting between Trump

11:05

and uh Putin on uh in Alaska. And uh

11:10

Europe also says that their red lines

11:12

include stressing that a ceasefire must

11:14

be the first step in the deal and that

11:16

any territorial exchanges must be

11:19

reciprocal based on current front lines

11:21

and a long-term security guarantee. So

11:25

in other words, uh even the Europeans

11:28

are recognizing that some form of

11:29

territory is probably going to be lost

11:31

from Ukraine, but we need security

11:33

guarantees to be a part of this. Those

11:35

have been a big issue for Russia. Russia

11:37

doesn't want security guarantees because

11:39

Russia doesn't want Ukraine to get

11:41

guarantees that basically imply

11:45

Ukraine is part of NATO, right? Because

11:48

if you give if NATO gives Ukraine a

11:50

security guarantee, you may as well just

11:51

say NATO is part or Ukraine is part of

11:54

NATO, which obviously is a red line for

11:56

Russia. So this creates a lot of

11:58

complexity here. Now, Donald Trump also

12:01

mentioned that uh regarding the China

12:04

trade deal, stay tuned. There will be uh

12:08

progress on the China trade deal soon.

12:11

Uh there is a self-imposed deadline by

12:13

Trump tonight to get a deal with China.

12:16

We don't know if that'll actually happen

12:17

tonight. Donald Trump did miss his

12:19

self-imposed secondary sanction deadline

12:21

with Russia in lie of obviously this

12:23

meeting now happening on Friday. As far

12:26

as chips, uh he says that there could

12:29

even be some form of 20 to 30% uh sort

12:34

of export licensing fees for Blackwell

12:37

or at least unenhanced versions of

12:39

Blackwell in the future, which is really

12:41

interesting because it's a way of saying

12:43

that maybe we will let uh companies like

12:47

Nvidia and AMD export their more

12:50

advanced chips, although still not the

12:52

most advanced chips, to countries like

12:55

China. Again, a lot of people see these

12:58

export fees like that 15% export fee

13:02

that AMD and Nvidia have currently

13:03

agreed to for the watered down older

13:05

generation chips like the H20s uh as an

13:08

extortion fee. And they kind of see this

13:11

as Donald Trump extorting American

13:13

companies. Uh that's a 15% tax on the

13:17

H20 from Nvidia to China and 15% tax on

13:20

the MI308 from AMD to China. Uh, you

13:23

kind of have to give Trump credit though

13:25

here. Trump will do anything to make a

13:27

buck for the country, which is great in

13:29

the near term. We don't know what the

13:30

longer term implications of that are

13:32

going to be. But for now, that seems to

13:34

be an opportunity for Nvidia and AMD to

13:36

increase their revenue and Trump to

13:38

increase his revenue. Uh, then again,

13:40

other people say this is just arming

13:42

China and China is our enemy and we

13:44

shouldn't be arming them. So, you kind

13:46

of have arguments on both sides of this.

13:49

But again, this is Donald Trump's uh not

13:53

free market lzair style, but rather

13:56

Donald Trump's sort of more crony style

13:59

directament of how things are going to

14:02

go and nobody knows what the

14:05

implications of that are going to be in

14:06

the longer term, but it is interesting.

14:09

So, uh we'll see. So, that gives you an

14:12

overview here of everything. Remember,

14:13

use coupon code jhole meet.com. get that

alpha report again. Tesla's killing it

14:19

today, which is a great call in the

14:21

alpha report. Literally called in the

14:24

pre-market that it was heading towards

14:25

this line within the next 48 hours. Look

14:27

at that. That was literally my number

14:29

one call. We had four calls this

14:31

morning. You can see call 2, three, and

14:33

four in the alpha report this morning.

14:35

Uh, one of them, by the way, I'll give

14:37

you a little hint here, was watch for

14:39

the cues to fall at open and then

14:41

bounce. And look at literally what's

14:44

happening right now. You had a little

14:46

fall at the open and bounce throughout

14:48

the rest of the day here. So, if you

14:49

want these calls, make sure you get

14:51

those in the alpha report every single
