0:00

could Ukraine negotiate an end to the

0:02

war with Russia and what does Crimea

0:04

have to do with it and what do smart

0:06

bombs have to do with that let's talk

0:08

about that and more keep in mind link

0:10

down below is a coupon code that expires

0:11

tonight on the programs I'm building

0:13

your wealth smart bombs going to Ukraine

0:17

yes uh there this is a real thing the

0:20

financial times just reported apparently

0:22

the U.S is set to provide smart bombs uh

0:25

to Ukraine now keep in mind what we are

0:28

trying to do as much as possible is uh

0:30

apparently this is the decision of the

0:33

American leadership uh and NATO and and

0:35

the European allies to basically provide

0:39

more and more and more stuff and weapons

0:42

to Ukraine to try to take down you

0:46

Russia and force them into a settlement

0:48

remember we started providing helmets uh

0:52

and and initial money to Ukraine Germany

0:55

for example it was helmets and

0:57

bulletproof vests other parts of Europe

0:58

were providing booths that then turned

1:01

into rounds of ammunition to where

1:03

Germany was down to a stockpile of

1:05

ammunition of just 48 hours

1:07

48 hours that's all they had left was 48

1:10

Hours of uh ammunition uh and uh it and

1:14

now we've moved on to providing armored

1:17

personnel carriers uh and tanks which

1:20

Joe Biden suggested there was no way we

1:22

were going to send tanks because that

1:23

would implicate World War III to Ukraine

1:25

now tanks are being sent to Ukraine now

1:28

it'll take a few weeks for uh troops to

1:31

get trained on these both strategically

1:32

and technically but takes about five to

1:34

six weeks it'll probably take about

1:35

three months for the first tanks to

1:37

actually get to Ukraine but now the

1:39

financial times is talking about the US

1:40

the United States is set to provide

1:42

longer range smart bombs uh to uh

1:46

Ukraine these are small diameter bombs

1:49

that would double Ukraine's current

1:51

strike range as part of another nearly

1:54

2.2 billion dollar Aid package to be

1:57

announced today the smart bombs have a

1:59

range of 94 miles and we can be fired

2:01

from several kinds of rocket launchers

2:03

including High Mars missile defense

2:05

systems and Ukraine's been asking for

2:08

longer range missile defense systems

2:09

however the United States is worried

2:11

that they would use those to strike

2:13

deeper into Russian targets although

2:16

these missiles already allow people or

2:18

ukrainians to strike deeper however not

2:20

as deep as the Army tactical missile

2:23

system which is something Ukraine's been

2:24

asking for gets you about 185 miles of

2:26

range now one of the reasons these these

2:29

smart bombs and sort of this this

2:30

spending on Ukraine is important is

2:32

because there's an expectation of

2:34

potentially Ukraine trying to take back

2:37

Crimea now that would be a massive

2:40

massive blow for Russia in fact there's

2:42

a really good Financial Times piece on

2:44

exactly this and it briefly talks about

2:47

what Ukraine needs to liberate Crimea

2:50

and in essence they've talked about not

2:53

only is uh Ukraine going to need tanks

2:56

to liberate Crimea but they're going to

2:58

need

2:59

Jets and now this is something that

3:01

right now Schultz uh is the chancellor

3:04

of Germany is sort of backpedaling on

3:06

the idea of even wanting to talk about

3:08

Jets suggesting hey let's just focus on

3:11

tanks right now but listen everything

3:12

Ukraine's been asking for so far they've

3:14

gotten singers Patriot missile a bass uh

3:18

javelins you want more weapons you want

3:21

more money you want armored personnel

3:23

carriers you want tanks they've gotten

3:25

everything they've been asking for so

3:26

it's just a matter of time before they

3:28

get jets but if they do get the Gen 4

3:31

F-16 fighter jets it is potentially

3:34

likely uh that Ukraine could actually

3:37

launch a pretty strong offensive uh on

3:40

on Crimea which uh Russia illegally

3:42

annexed in 2014. now Russia of course uh

3:46

was able to pull that off without a

3:48

prolonged battle at all uh because of

3:50

the location work uh Crimea is being

3:53

relatively strategic for Russia to not

3:56

only Supply materials but uh is that

3:59

essentially more weapons and troops to

4:00

continue the fight within actually uh

4:03

Ukraine I think it's worth taking a

4:05

brief look at the map just to sort of

4:07

understand the Tactical Battlefield a

4:09

little bit here Crimean Peninsula is

4:11

over here if Ukraine were to take Crimea

4:14

uh it would really potentially block

4:18

Russia off uh of of the Seas Azad over

4:23

here uh where where they're essentially

4:26

supplying materials uh and weapons to

4:30

Crimea to launch attacks from the

4:33

southern regions of Ukraine and this

4:36

would really allow Ukraine to not only

4:39

seal Russia off of Crimea if they were

4:42

able to take this and actually have a

4:44

naval chance to to prevent uh Russia's

4:46

uh as much Russian activity in the Black

4:49

Sea because now you're cutting off the C

4:50

as azov over here so you've got to go

4:52

around uh but what you have is the

4:54

potential to lock down Curson prevent

4:57

the attacks on Curson on and really

5:00

start moving Russia back and prevent the

5:03

incursion that's happening here into the

5:05

regions that are expected to potentially

5:06

be negotiated away to Russia like

5:09

danesque so Crimea would be pretty

5:11

pretty strategic uh and the financial

5:14

times or not the financial times Foreign

5:16

Affairs magazine has been regularly

5:18

talking about the the strength of a

5:21

negotiating power that Ukraine would

5:24

have if they took Ukraine if they took

5:26

Crimea even to the point of taking uh

5:29

Crimea and taking the uh massive massive

5:32

Naval uh uh facility that Russia has

5:35

over here at Sebastopol uh it would be

5:38

such a huge blow to Russia that a lot of

5:41

folks and Military experts think that

5:43

Russia would actually be forced into a

5:46

negotiated uh settlement if the Crimean

5:48

Peninsula was actually taken over they

5:51

say here without a land bridge or road

5:52

or rail links to Crimea the Kremlin

5:54

would be forced to revert to Maritime

5:56

resupply of of their troops uh that uh

6:00

that let's make that very clear an easy

6:03

way to get troops and supplies into

6:05

Ukraine right now is right here through

6:08

Russia through Crimea and then into the

6:12

Curson area but again if if this is held

6:15

by Ukraine it's always Crimea that's

6:17

blocked off now you want to resupply

6:19

here you're either going through the

6:20

front lines which is difficult or you're

6:23

going over the sea but now Ukraine

6:25

potentially has a a military a naval

6:28

access uh to the Sea as well potentially

6:31

limiting exactly that sort of resupply

6:33

it's a great way to potentially choke

6:35

off Russia's activity

6:37

now uh the expectation is Ukrainian

6:40

forces would need to carry out weeks of

6:42

strikes uh onto targets including

6:45

logistic hubs air bases command and

6:47

Control Center and this Naval

6:48

installation installations it would take

6:50

a lot of work but the the uh foreign

6:54

affairs magazine believes that it could

6:56

actually be pulled off as long as uh

7:00

more tanks and ultimately Jets get

7:04

supplied to Ukraine so the Ford Affairs

7:07

mag they're big fans of continuing this

7:09

sort of supplying now the problem is the

7:12

more and this is where they do suggest

7:14

uh there are some risks the problem is

7:17

if Ukraine takes Crimea there's a belief

7:21

that it would take it would be such a

7:23

huge blow in in fighting Russia that

7:26

potentially Russia would be incentivized

7:28

to maybe carry out its first nuclear its

7:32

strategic and tactical strikes against

7:35

Crimea because it's a peninsula it's

7:37

it's almost an island you could say it's

7:40

we're technically a peninsula because

7:41

it's it's attached over here but it's

7:43

not like a Florida Peninsula it looks

7:45

like an island uh and and so there's a

7:47

belief that this is so strategically

7:49

important to Russia that if Russia loses

7:53

this it could potentially be where uh

7:56

the the first nuclear uh strategic

7:59

strikes are attempted of course this

8:02

would uh would would lead to a lot of uh

8:05

potential talk about world war three and

8:08

this is why there are a lot of people

8:09

saying look no no just just stop stop

8:13

supplying weapons stop supplying uh uh

8:16

Ukraine stop funding Ukraine we don't we

8:18

don't want to push Russia to the edge of

8:21

considering nuclear strikes of course

8:23

this is possibly also one of the

8:25

strongest positions that Ukraine could

8:27

end up having for negotiating a

8:29

settlement uh with uh Russia so we'll

8:34

see who knows but this is uh this is

8:37

something to be be paying attention to

8:38

so if you're watching the Ukraine war

8:39

and the Takeover of the Crimean

8:41

Peninsula could be uh strategically the

8:45

the best uh move for Ukraine but they're

8:48

going to need a lot more support and so

8:51

far it looks like the EU NATO and the

8:55

United States are willing to provide

8:56

that especially since now we're talking

8:58

about smart bombs uh being sent to

9:01

Ukraine by the financial times reporting

9:04

that 2.2 billion dollar Aid package

9:06

expected to be announced today
