0:00

Hey everybody. So, a friend of mine

0:01

asked me about the three main dietary

0:05

discoveries or changes I've ever made

0:08

that simultaneously upgraded health and

0:11

improved ability to build muscle mass.

0:14

So, I had to think about this a little

0:16

bit because there's been a lot of them,

0:18

but I tried to narrow it down to three

0:21

categories that I think would be of a

0:23

lot of utility and use to a lot of

0:25

people in the world out there. Um,

0:29

my first one would be food combination

0:31

science, which is one of the lesserk

0:34

known sciences because there's no money

0:36

agendas behind it for anybody. So,

0:38

there's not a lot of research in it. But

0:40

the way the pancreas and the digestive

0:42

organs and enzymes in the body work and

0:45

nobody knows this,

0:47

uh, you'll know nobody knows this when

0:49

you start to understand and realize that

0:50

like every traditional food dish in the

0:52

world violates how the body works. And I

0:54

don't mean to be a downer on everybody's

0:56

fun. I'm just talking some actual

0:58

science here that helped me a great deal

1:01

to come to understand. And that is the

1:04

pancreas. For example, when you put food

1:05

in your stomach, if you're putting carbs

1:09

and proteins and fats in there at the

1:11

same time, for one thing, that's a

1:13

metabolic spillover disaster. But let's

1:16

just talk about the enzymes.

1:18

Um, when you put

1:21

Okay, we'll take a traditional thing. A

1:23

lot of people eat meat and potatoes,

1:25

right? I don't eat uh you know, I'm a

1:28

I'm a vegetarian myself, but

1:31

um

1:35

so you you and maybe you are too. So

1:37

like you could substitute any heavy

1:38

protein any heavy protein food mixed

1:42

with a a carb food and everybody thinks,

1:45

"Oh, it's the best thing, you know,

1:47

because the carbs and the insulin and

1:48

the protein shuttling and this and

1:50

that." Now, as far as just gaining mass

1:52

faster, yeah, that's kind of a way to do

1:55

it. But here's what really goes on in

1:56

the body. The pancreas will release

2:00

digestive enzymes designed to go after

2:02

the easier food.

2:04

So, in the vast majority of cases,

2:06

you're going to digest the carb or the

2:09

starchy type food in that combination

2:12

for the most part. You're not going to

2:14

digest near as much of that heavy

2:16

protein as you think you do. And then

2:18

what happens to it? It goes into your

2:19

gut and it gets like encased on your gut

2:21

lining and you have an apocalyptic

2:24

worldwide mess of destroyed digestive

2:27

systems. And you do, if you don't

2:30

believe me,

2:31

look into statistics and, you know, get

2:33

to know some things about people in

2:35

their digestive tract. It's it's kind of

2:37

a nightmare and it's it's ignorance.

2:42

So, that category in and of itself, if

2:45

you want to look into it, it's huge. Um

2:48

Vince Deronda was a bit into it. He was

2:50

ahead of his time on that. And he would

2:52

have his clients eat their heavy protein

2:55

meals with oils and fats. He said, you

2:57

know, when you combine those things,

2:59

it's fine. The fatty acid, you know, you

3:02

need healthy fatty acids in your life.

3:05

So if you combine them with proteins,

3:07

the body tends to digest that pretty

3:09

well. Those things work well together.

3:11

And you would have them do any carb

3:12

meals separate. Okay? So, you're

3:15

separating out these meals for different

3:17

times of the day to get the best out of

3:19

all of them without toxifying and

3:21

clogging up and messing up your health

3:24

in your digestive tract. The breakdown

3:26

of most people starts in the digestive

3:29

tract, the the ruining of the immune

3:31

system, um you know, metabolic damage,

3:34

and then all kinds of weird fungus,

3:36

mold, parasites. Uh, and don't kid

3:39

yourself, even in what they call first

3:43

world countries, parasites are

3:45

incredibly common. Probably at least 95%

3:47

of people have them. If you don't

3:49

believe me, if you want to go down that

3:51

rabbit hole,

3:53

if you think you can handle facing the

3:55

truth and doing something about it, go

3:56

right ahead. I highly recommend it. Um,

4:00

the next big category I would say when

4:02

it comes to building muscle mass, I find

4:04

that forms of intermittent fasting can

4:06

really help. Um, because it actually

4:10

slows down your metabolism, makes it

4:11

more efficient.

4:14

And then when you do, if if you're like

4:15

me and you can actually eat a lot at one

4:17

time, especially if you know about food

4:19

combination science,

4:22

uh, or if you don't, you could add a lot

4:24

of digestive enzymes and this would

4:25

work.

4:28

Um,

4:30

intermittent fasting like primes your

4:32

body to have a slower, more anabolic

4:35

nature. Okay? You don't when your

4:37

metabolism slows down, it's actually a

4:39

lot easier to gain mass. You can gain

4:42

more from what you eat. Plus, you're

4:44

giving your system hours of rest to

4:46

strengthen its digestive energies before

4:49

they're used again instead of overusing

4:51

and abusing them all the time. So,

4:53

that's a big one. um

4:56

using some sort of intermittent fasting,

4:59

if you're able to digest a lot in one or

5:02

two meals a day, you can actually gain

5:04

more muscle mass,

5:06

maybe some extra body fat, although the

5:09

data goes every which way on that. And I

5:12

wouldn't worry about it. I think

5:14

actually by giving yourself fasting

5:16

time,

5:17

your body learns to do everything more

5:19

efficiently, including burn off fat

5:20

during those fasting hours. So, and some

5:24

would say, "No, that's all just glycogen

5:26

because you're not, you know, without

5:27

carbs for days to go into keto." Look,

5:30

even when you're burning glycogen,

5:31

you're you're burning fat along with

5:33

with it. They never burn just one or the

5:35

other. That's kind of a misunderstanding

5:37

that comes from reading jaded research,

5:39

I think. But,

5:41

uh, I believe that you actually

5:46

you get a lot of bang for your buck with

5:47

muscle mass gains. If you see it

5:49

spilling over and you're getting fat,

5:51

change what you're eating and your

5:52

eating window.

5:54

And intermittent fasting is is a very

5:56

flexible tool with a lot of utility. Can

5:58

be used a lot of different ways and it

6:00

generally improves health, digestion,

6:01

and anabolic processes. Okay, so that's

6:05

number two for me. And number three,

6:09

I hope I'm not violating the the premise

6:11

of this video by saying, but really the

6:13

third most important category that made

6:15

the most difference for me, gaining

6:17

mass. that made all food and all

6:18

supplements work much better. Things

6:20

that I thought didn't work in the past

6:22

started working. And that was, and I

6:25

know on some of my past canceled

6:26

channels, you guys have heard me redo

6:28

this theme many, many times, even in

6:30

detail,

6:32

but deep detox down to the cellular

6:34

level. Now, yes, you may actually lose

6:36

some mass during that process, but it's

6:38

all junk mass anyway. And then when you

6:41

have a clean system, the things you put

6:43

in it, they work a whole lot better. Um,

6:46

most people don't realize the wisdom in

6:49

that or necessarily have the maturity to

6:51

set aside time and focus to go through

6:53

true deep detox, which is

6:55

honestly sometimes it's really rough and

6:58

you actually, as toxic as a lot of

7:00

people are now in society, I have to

7:03

throw this in here just to be

7:05

responsible.

7:06

uh you could die from something like a

7:08

Herxheimer reaction if you

7:11

if you go into deep enough detox fast

7:14

enough and hard enough and and you've

7:16

never done it before. That said, even a

7:18

good detox that you'll live through,

7:20

there's going to be stages where it's

7:21

rough and you're going to feel worse

7:22

before you feel better. There's a fine

7:25

line between um detoxing well and going

7:27

through the misery of it and going too

7:29

far

7:31

where you can actually overload your

7:32

system with how many toxins are coming

7:34

out of places they've been stuck in the

7:35

body at the same time. They're all

7:38

hitting the bloodstream and they start

7:39

poisoning other systems because your

7:40

body can't get it out fast enough. And

7:43

uh you know I have protocols for that,

7:45

life-saving deep detox protocols, but

7:48

that's a different video. You have to

7:50

get all the trash out of your cells

7:52

that's stuck inside of them so you can

7:53

make room and you can clear up the

7:56

doorways and the hallways and make room

7:58

to take in things and build and grow Oh.
