Maria was born in a remote Village in

Brazil at a tender age she becomes

convinced that she will never find true

love I'm sorry Maria I just don't like

you and so she starts to believe that

love is a terrible thing that will make

suffer she's disillusioned by her failed

romantic encounters and decides to seek

Fortune elsewhere leading her to

Switzerland and then she

traveled she seeks fortune in

Switzerland however she quickly

discovers that life is not easy as she

thought it would

be she keeps working and

working

and then she find herself working as a

prostitute in a broel she is a night

club dancer and a high class

prostitute she initially uncomfortable

in her job but eventually Maria learns

to embrace

it Maria gets to experience all the

highs and lows of life from wealth and

luxury to the harsh realities of her

profession she learns to separate sex

from love seeing it as just a

job don't worry my work is just a work

there is no feelings involved in that I

love

you however her life takes a turn when

she meets a handsome young

painter hi I'm Ralph Hart this must be a

destiny don't you agree Maria nice to

meet you I think I like you already

Ralph is immediately drawn to her start

a romantic

relationship he shows her that physical

love can also Encompass emotions and

Soulful connection

crazy however Maria is still searching

more in her life and she decided to go

back in

Brazil in there she meet Nia who

introduces her in the world of mam

masochism she then again initially

hesitates but eventually enjoy the new

world with Nia she become comfortable

with it and find that it brings her

pleasure Maria had series of dreams and

she believes that God telling her that

she is in the right path and she should

continue to explore her

desires Maria's chy of self Discovery

comes to an end when she was arrested

and put in trial for

prostitution throughout the trial Maria

maintains her dignity and refuses to be

ashamed of her

profession Maria is acquitted and starts

to change her perspective in

life she then returns to Switzerland to

be

with not wanting to lose someone she

loves she decides to get together with

Ralph Hart and they live happily in the

end the novel ends with Maria reflecting

on her journey and the lessons she has

learned about love sexuality and the

search for meaning in life I really hope
