what Elaine
said though I could not have at home no
I put horse fish that just like pushy I
think it isn't anybody war isn't any one
of you gonna say anything
oh okay do you like left never blue mmm
no in particular I want Elaine to tell
me if she's if she likes it then even
plays okay
it's nice okay thank you good morning
how are you I'm fine I'm fine I'm great
so what are we talking about today
um the importance of travel blogs so
many people are blogging now it is yeah
and it's really having a very positive
impact on the tourism want oh okay well
as we know Africa is a continent filled
with beautiful people breathtaking
landscapes and unique wildlife despite
all that it has to offer there is a lack
of information about travel on the
continent many are led to believe that
it cannot be done and that is nothing
worth traveling for in Africa and that's
why travel blogs come in as I've said
for some travel interests Africa is a
dream destination filled with soul
wildlife adventure landscapes and
charisma this travelers all share the
passion for travel through video
photographs informative guides and
stories it's all in an effort to lift
the veil on Africa and share the beauty
that awaits fellow travelers under this
kind of knowledge the majority of hotels
have already established an active
social media presence and blogging shall
be a key part of strategy especially for
an industry such as travel and tourism
industry which lends itself
exceptionally well to this type of
content for some travel lovers
Janan across africa has become the
unofficial career and they've documented
their incredible travels on a variety of
interesting and thrilling travel books
blogs some bloggers use their special
skills for telling a great story to
showcase a great continent others tap
into a more specialized skill like their
experiences working with animal
or local communities to add texture and
contest to their blog we spoke to catch
in some sketching zama
the solo wanderer from South Africa who
has traveled to so many countries across
the African continent travel with catchy
takes you on a journey through high
experiences as introduced to the world
by locals take a listen
our biggest challenge as applicants is
that you don't know anything about each
other some other countries when I went
to visit them nice people actually on
social media asking me is that actually
a country within Africa and ensure my
countries met Mauritania and Saturday
and príncipe so we don't know much about
each other and lack of information about
each other will tend to become
intolerant of each other
so after good I could use my blogging
and my travel my skill of writing and
storytelling to encourage other things
to learn more about each other through
travel having traveled to more than 30
countries in the past four years and
Zama was hoping to travel to at least 50
countries this year
last year alone she traveled to 21
countries however the travel enthusiast
has encountered several challenges take
a listen
the main candidates travel Africa
advocate definitely visit I sense more
many reasons than others and it actually
does not make sense it doesn't make
sense how I get to America and nice
fridge what 12 are the charges and I'm
the only African and I was the only
person really got to get me it doesn't
make me feel foul I have to apply for a
visa to a country and when you get to
those elephants you get cheated really
badly and it's like they're doing you a
favor I don't want you to come to that
country and other highly experienced
with the accept and the one thing that
discourages people traveling are the
givers and I've seen through my travels
indeed wardens up in Zama has said is
true in previous travel segments we have
highlighted how cumbersome it is for
Africans to travel across the
consonant take a look and take a listen
to her but in short I would like to see
more Africans from the Africa and the
biggest challenge in what idea has been
support I only have one private company
that they've had supported what I do the
Tourism Board just a continent the
incident reports and I think like
there's so much more that we could do in
telling African stories the Africans but
because of that lack of support it
becomes really really difficult because
then I also struggle with finances in
terms of actually achieving what I would
like to achieve
I would like to see in Africa where it's
easy for us to get from point A to point
B you need to start telling our own
story the benefits of isn't travel among
Africans in Africa are far-reaching
promoting revenues in the tourism sector
creating jobs stimulating economic
growth and enhancing father regional
integration there's a great deal of
evidence that migration both the
economies of the receiving countries
free movement in Africa can be expected
to enhance business and investment as
the ear examples are shown that Arab
from me on this week's travel segment
till next time enjoy the rest of your
