Development in Plants and Animals
FULL TRANSCRIPT
welcome to this skill pad video resource
where we make learning fun in this video
we are going to look at the concept of
development in living organisms ever
wondered how a Seedling grows into a
towering tree or how a tiny egg
transforms into a chirping bird the
answers lie in the fascinating process
of development a journey that every
plant and animal embarks upon today we
are going to delve into the intricate
world of biological development in both
plants and animals development begins
with a single cell
which divides and differentiates into a
multitude of cell types as multicellular
plants and animals grow differentiation
of cells becomes crucial it's a process
where cells specialize into different
forms each performing a specific
function in Plants a significant part of
this development involves secondary
growth which thickens the stems and
Roots this process is predominant in
dichot aladinus plants and is
facilitated by a special kind of tissue
known as meristem meristem are the
plant's growth engines of two types
appical meristems located at the tips of
roots and Chutes and lateral meristems
which facilitate secondary growth
lateral meristems further divide into
vascular and cork cambium responsible
for producing secondary vascular tissues
and protective outer layers respectively
now let's switch gears and examine the
metamorphosis in animals a process that
insects like houseflies cockroaches
mosquitoes bees and butterflies undergo
metamorphosis refers to the Stark
transformation from an immature form to
an adult form in two or three stages
complete metamorphosis involves four
distinct stages egg larvae Pupa and
adult a butterfly's life cycle is a
classic example of this in contrast
incomplete metamorphosis seen in insects
like cockroaches and grasshoppers
involves three stages egg nymph and
adult humans too undergo a complex
development process from birth to
adulthood encompassing physical
behavioral and cognitive change
childhood is a period of rapid growth
and development with Milestones like
learning to walk talk and interact with
the world adolescence the transition
phase from childhood to adulthood is
marked by significant physical
physiological psychological and
behavioral changes it's divided into
early middle and late adolescents each
with distinct characteristics this
period is also when secondary sexual
characteristics appear signaling the
onset of puberty puberty can be a
confusing time filed with myths and
misconceptions it's important to
understand that these changes including
growth spurts voice deepening in males
and the onset of menstration in females
are normal parts of growing up
adolescents can cope with these changes
by maintaining open communication
practicing self-care and seeking
guidance when needed lastly we touch
upon the process of Aging a natural
progression characterized by gradual
physiological and psychological changes
aging affects every individual
differently and is influenced by various
factors including genetics lifestyle and
environment in summary development in
plants and animals is a fascinating
journey of transformation from a plant's
secondary growth to an insect's
metamorphosis from a child's first steps
to an adolesence Journey towards
adulthood each stage of development is a
testament to The Wonder of life itself
thank you for using this skill pad video
resource we hope it made the concept of
development a lot easier to grasp tag
along as we explore the world of science
for your learning pleasure we hope to
see you again soon
