FULL TRANSCRIPT

0:00

hey have you ever used Siri and wondered

0:02

why it's nowhere near as good as GPT yet

0:06

well Apple may have just leaked to the

0:09

world exactly what they have in store

0:11

for Apple's AI Apple's artificial

0:14

intelligence and it might actually make

0:18

Siri really functional in fact

0:21

potentially more functional using less

0:24

power and being more capable than any AI

0:28

we're using today see apple detailed

0:33

their plans in this particular paper I'm

0:35

about to show you but I want you to know

0:37

not only am I going to show you this

0:39

paper I'm also going to speculate a

0:41

little bit on where AI could show up at

0:45

Apple and how much it might actually

0:47

benefit Apple stock so let's get into it

0:52

this right here is a document just

0:55

released by the Apple team and it's

0:58

called reference resolution as language

1:01

modeling they're calling it realm

1:03

spelled r e a l m just like the word

1:06

realm now what they do is they start off

1:09

with a lot of technical jargon like

1:12

reference issues that large language

1:14

models might end up having I'm going to

1:17

just simplify this hey show meaes around

1:21

here and let's say then the user comes

1:24

back and says you know what let's pick

1:26

the bottom one well the problem with

1:29

just a text based dialogue is sometimes

1:32

that text based Voice Assistant doesn't

1:36

actually know which one you're referring

1:38

to because they're not spatially aware

1:41

of what's on your screen or behind your

1:44

screen and this is where Apple's piece

1:48

is really a GameChanger what they

1:50

essentially argue is you need a vision

1:54

based AI assistant that can both see

1:58

what's on your screen ah pick the third

2:00

one oh you know what let's go with that

2:01

one let's say you're interacting with

2:03

Apple TV right hey show me XYZ on

2:07

amazon.com you know what let's pick the

2:09

second one from the top that's a lot

2:11

easier to interact with but it requires

2:13

the voice assistant knowing what's on

2:15

your screen apple is saying we may have

2:18

found the solution and our solution may

2:21

actually use less power be used on

2:25

device that is you don't have to send

2:27

the data to a cloud all your personal

2:30

sensitive information to like the open

2:32

AI cloud and then you get an answer back

2:34

instead everything would just be

2:36

processed within your phone so it would

2:39

be private and secure supposedly uh and

2:44

The Voice Assistant would know exactly

2:46

what you're seeing on your phone but not

2:48

just that the voice assistant would also

2:50

know that if you say hey can you make it

2:52

brighter in this room it would know that

2:55

you might actually be referencing your

2:58

smart home dimmer switch

3:00

and then it might increase the

3:02

brightness in your room rather than just

3:03

showing you a step-by-step tutorial on

3:05

how to change the brightness on your

3:07

phone which is what tech Spas spots do

3:10

today now Apple goes through this in

3:12

detail and the entire PDF set I have

3:16

already thrown up on ec.com you can

3:19

download it there totally for free with

3:21

my annotations on it and what they what

3:23

they really try to accomplish is finding

3:27

a mobile based voice assist

3:30

that understands references to the

3:32

screen that are natural and behind the

3:34

screen so in other words your other apps

3:37

we all know that we have apps that want

3:39

to interact with other apps we don't

3:41

want to have to move between different

3:42

apps with our fingers because that

3:45

eliminates our voice control it

3:47

eliminates the natural interaction hey

3:49

could you copy and paste that last

3:51

message from so and so and throw it in

3:53

an email to so and so well good luck

3:56

getting a chatbot to do that today

3:58

requires that manual input but that's

4:00

actually what becomes the barrier to

4:01

using a voice assistant or what about

4:04

the fact that when we use voice

4:06

dictation there's no grammatic or does

4:10

this make sense fact Checker going into

4:12

your dictation that's why we swear when

4:14

we don't mean to and say things that are

4:17

totally wrong because quite frankly the

4:20

device is writing down what it thinks

4:22

you're saying but it's not writing down

4:24

what makes sense whereas an AI powered

4:26

Voice Assistant would be able to solve

4:29

that so as is usual for Apple's form

4:33

apple is actually trying to solve a

4:35

mobile first AI problem that's actually

4:39

quite difficult to solve it's more

4:41

expensive to train this sort of data we

4:43

know that text based AI is also

4:45

problematic because look at Mid Journey

4:48

we're able to get beautiful designs and

4:51

images but it took nearly a year to

4:54

start getting some text-based artificial

4:56

intelligence usually you'd get these

4:58

bizarre characters you could even even

5:00

get fingers right for a while there

5:02

people were selling fake fingers on

5:04

Amazon to make it seem like when they

5:06

were wearing it that they were Ai and

5:08

essentially oh that's not me that's AI

5:10

look at the hand they're selling little

5:12

dummy fingers because AI had been pretty

5:15

bad at generatively creating images of

5:18

people's hands and text now it's gotten

5:20

a lot better and we've made a lot of

5:22

progress but there might actually be a

5:24

reason why apple is so delayed now I'm

5:26

not trying to shill for Apple here but I

5:30

do want you to think about what

5:31

implications this could have not just

5:33

for the user but also the stock so I

5:35

wrote down a few potential examples of

5:38

how this could be useful first of all

5:39

Siri with AI on your phone private

5:42

secure you can control other apps and in

5:44

between apps that would be a game Cher

5:47

dictation with AI does this actually

5:49

make sense GameChanger AI obviously in

5:52

pages and numbers kind of like a

5:54

co-pilot Game Changer or built-in

5:57

grammarly right game changer how about

5:59

home AI see that would be huge right now

6:03

home or Smart Home Products really

6:06

suffer from what I call the dumb home

6:09

effect that is most smart home software

6:13

requires scheduling that's maybe based

6:16

on the sunrise or the sunset with some

6:19

delays built in I've been building Smart

6:21

Homes for nearly a decade I started in

6:25

2015 building out smart home

6:27

infrastructures whether I was using

6:28

indigo Domo whether I was using who

6:31

remembers inston technology the good old

6:34

Z-Wave Technologies a lot of these older

6:37

products we don't really use much

6:39

anymore now everybody loves the Lutron

6:41

Cita for example right fantastic product

6:44

but still a lot of them a lot of it is

6:46

programmatic you push a button and then

6:48

your scene inputs these five switches

6:50

change these drapes open these motors

6:53

turn on whatever these are very very

6:55

simple inputs they're kind of like

6:57

computers back in the80s if this then

6:59

that very simple there's actually no

7:02

smart in the smart home but see I expect

7:05

home AI from Apple could actually be

7:09

really good in the longer term because

7:11

now you can integrate Apple home with

7:14

artificial intelligence similarly for

7:16

things like The Vision Pro maybe you

7:17

could have Vision AI where it actually

7:19

uses AI to set up your screens so it's

7:21

not freaking annoying maybe that doesn't

7:23

even need AI but the point is there are

7:25

a lot of things Apple could probably

7:26

improve with artificial intelligence

7:28

whether it's hey it sounds like people

7:30

really aren't listening to this music

7:32

right now instead they're trying to have

7:33

a conversation they're having trouble

7:34

hearing each other maybe we could lower

7:36

the volume on these speakers sort of

7:38

natural

7:39

adaptation very interesting potentials

7:42

remember what Apple has access to not

7:44

only your health data via the watches

7:47

all the facial data I'm sure they're

7:50

collecting a voice data from that's

7:52

scary to think about from all the

7:53

cameras around you and microphones

7:55

around you but pretty much every part of

7:58

your life Apple has exposure too the

8:01

phones uh headphones the other

8:03

accessories so the the potential for AI

8:06

I think is actually really substantial

8:08

problem is as usual Apple's behind and

8:10

there's no guarantee that Apple's

8:12

actually going to be able to pull any of

8:13

this off remember Apple has been in

8:15

talks with Google and Buu to try to

8:18

start licensing some AI so that's scary

8:21

because it somewhat implies that Apple

8:23

isn't go to market ready with any of

8:25

these that quite frankly This research

8:28

project that they're writing here this

8:29

research report or the ideas that I have

8:31

are just that they're just ideas and

8:34

quite frankly we might be years away

8:37

from some of the things that I talked

8:38

about here now that's despite the fact

8:41

that when they compare uh re relm uh re

8:45

Alm realm when they compare it to GPT

8:48

they actually think they are better and

8:51

more efficient than GPT at performing a

8:54

lot of tasks look for example gp4

8:58

incorrectly assumes the reference to be

9:00

only about a setting whereas the ground

9:02

truth consists of a home automation

9:04

device in the background as well right

9:06

this further understanding of what is

9:09

actually going on this is where they say

9:11

we find the performance of Realm and GPT

9:13

are similar for an unseen domain that is

9:16

just text based right uh however we

9:19

demonstrate that entities that are

9:22

present on the screen can be passed into

9:24

a large language model using a novel

9:26

textual representation that effectively

9:28

summarizes the use us screen while

9:30

retaining relative spatial positions of

9:32

these entities we show that reum

9:34

outperforms previous approaches and

9:36

performs roughly as well as the

9:38

state-of-the-art GPT for today despite

9:41

consisting of fewer parameters even for

9:43

onscreen references it also outperforms

9:46

GPT for domain specific utterances thus

9:49

making realm an ideal choice for

9:52

practical reference resolution a a

9:54

practical reference resolution system

9:56

that it that can exist on device without

9:59

compromising on performance that's

10:00

really important because we don't want

10:02

performance to go in the toilet or

10:04

battery usage to go way up which

10:06

basically either or either your device

10:09

is slow or your battery drains really

10:11

quickly or worst case scenario both

10:13

right so everything we're talking about

10:15

here could just be like ah it's going

10:18

nowhere it's entirely possible we knew

10:20

that we do know that Apple essentially

10:21

has their AI day coming up on June 10th

10:25

and so we'll get a little bit of a

10:26

reveal for what's coming I suspect we're

10:28

going to get some something like this on

10:30

screen now uh now we'll talk about this

10:33

in detail but quickly I just want to

10:35

pitch a few things I've got some

10:36

beautiful programs on building your

10:38

wealth if you want to build your wealth

10:39

make sure you check out that coupon code

10:40

expiring this Friday for the programs on

10:42

building your wealth through real estate

10:44

stocks entrepreneurship the Gold Coast

10:48

of course on AI or business

10:50

entrepreneurship tax writeoffs tax

10:52

efficiency we've got a really great

10:55

Suite of products so check those out

10:56

over at

10:57

meetkevin.com so

10:59

where do I think Apple goes with this

11:01

well I actually think apple has a huge

11:04

potential to create the most functional

11:06

AI in our life and they'll end up

11:09

charging for it as part of the apple one

11:11

package now there's something to know

11:13

apple right now has 2.2 billion

11:15

installed devices this is all ec.com

11:17

Apple has 1 billion paying subscribers

11:21

let's just assume for a moment that 20%

11:23

of people are willing to pay say an

11:25

extra $20 a month for Apple AI as

11:28

opposed to GPT which really wouldn't

11:30

cost you anything extra because you

11:32

would probably just be replacing your

11:33

GPT subscription which likely hurts

11:36

Microsoft in comparison to Apple uh

11:38

especially since they have a 49% stake

11:40

in open AI but anyway I actually think

11:42

this could lead to a 31% beat in Apple's

11:45

expectations or expected earnings going

11:47

forward and then I expect that to

11:49

compound so Apple stock so far in my

11:52

opinion hasn't really priced any of this

11:54

in look for example at this apple in a

11:57

one-year time span is up just 2%

12:00

Microsoft is up 47% this means I think

12:03

there's a 45% catchup opportunity that

12:06

Apple has going forward which could add

12:08

over a trillion dollars to Apple's

12:09

market cap in addition to that though I

12:12

think Microsoft is actually at a risk of

12:15

having some of its AI revenues

12:18

potentially robbed by Apple as people

12:21

maybe cancel their GPT in favor of Apple

12:24

if Apple does come out with something as

12:26

exciting as maybe we're talking about

12:28

here of course if it's less exciting

12:30

then you would get less of that now keep

12:32

in mind Microsoft is primarily a

12:34

Services business right you can see this

12:36

all broken down on ec.com I broke down

12:39

the different segments Microsoft while

12:41

they have the physical Xbox most of

12:44

their stuff is either in service games

12:46

like game design Windows Microsoft

12:49

Microsoft Azure obviously servers it's a

12:51

service right Bing

12:54

365 these businesses make a lot of money

12:57

for Microsoft they had 62 billion in

12:59

total revenues just in the last quarter

13:01

and a 35.3% net margin so they've got

13:04

over $22 billion coming to uh the bottom

13:07

line in just one quarter which is really

13:09

awesome that's actually $21.87 billion

13:12

in the last quarter coming to their

13:13

bottom line Apple actually brings in

13:15

about 50% more to the bottom line than

13:18

Microsoft does that's crazy did you know

13:20

that Apple makes 50% more money than

13:22

Microsoft does wild and that's despite

13:24

the fact that Apple uh or sorry

13:27

Microsoft has a substantially larger

13:29

market cap uh than Apple it's 20% larger

13:32

than Apple based on its stock valuation

13:35

now why is that well it's mostly because

13:37

Microsoft being mostly a Services

13:39

business has slightly higher margins and

13:43

all of services are pretty much exposed

13:46

to AI so people see it as an AI play and

13:50

Microsoft's partnership in open AI lets

13:52

people feel like they're getting

13:54

exposure to open AI while investing in

13:56

Microsoft on the flip side 7 % of

13:59

Apple's business comes from products not

14:01

services and a Slowdown in iPhone sales

14:03

weighs heavily on Apple stock whereas a

14:06

Slowdown in PC sales doesn't really

14:08

affect Microsoft because they're growing

14:10

in so many other parts of the business

14:11

like data center AI whatever right so

14:15

Apple without AI in sight is a stock

14:19

that flounders apple with AI in my

14:22

opinion is a stock that could Skyrocket

14:25

now I want to be clear I'm not

14:28

advocating you personally invest in

14:29

Apple I'm exposed to Apple and I'm not

14:31

exposed to Microsoft so maybe I'm really

14:34

biased here in this video and that's

14:36

entirely possible and you should take

14:38

everything I'm saying with a grain of

14:39

salt but I just want to be clear I think

14:42

the market has passed up on Apple and

14:45

what I think a lot of people are missing

14:46

is that Apple's probably going to end up

14:49

releasing a new M series of chips that

14:51

are specifically designed for Apple

14:54

products with AI so hey want to run gpts

14:57

on your phone make make sure you get the

14:59

iPhone 16 or they call it the iPhone AI

15:04

or the mai chip whatever right it's

15:07

basically a way of potentially pushing a

15:09

whole new product refresh cycle and

15:11

making everybody still on the iPhone 12

15:13

finally wake up and get the new iPhone

15:15

16 it could be the greatest product

15:17

refresh cycle ever if Apple plays this

15:19

right so now I want to be very very very

15:22

very very very clear Apple I think is a

15:26

fantastic company but I think they

15:28

really screwed up by being so late on

15:30

the AI game this piece should have been

15:33

out a year ago oh I understand it's

15:36

going to take time and money to get to

15:38

that level of AI but the level of AI

15:40

that apple is talking about is keenly

15:42

functional to our daily lives now I

15:45

understand gpts and co-pilots are very

15:46

functional for people who work

15:47

spreadsheets or coding on a daily basis

15:50

or advertisers who are putting together

15:52

descriptions or generatively uh created

15:55

images or short video clips they're

15:57

fantastic opportunities for using AI

16:00

today but I think for the vast majority

16:02

of people I would argue 80 plus% of

16:04

people AI doesn't really enter our day

16:07

daily life regularly I would say that's

16:09

true for the vast majority of people so

16:12

if you want to see how I use AI make

16:14

sure to join the Gold Course check out

16:15

kevin.com and then you'll get lifetime

16:19

access to our course member live streams

16:21

and buy and sell alerts as well for

16:23

anytime I make a move in my portfolio so

16:25

check those out and uh if you were part

16:28

of them you already know know if I added

16:29

to my position in apple or my exposure

16:32

to Apple uh or not anyway thank you so

16:35

very much for watching this these are

16:36

some of the thoughts that I have after

16:37

reading this apple piece I'm actually

16:39

pretty excited about AI day go Apple

16:44

advertise these things that you told us

16:45

here I feel like nobody else knows about

16:47

this we'll we'll try a little

16:48

advertising and see how it goes

16:49

congratulations man you have done so

16:51

much people love you people look up to
