0:00

hey everyone me kevin here in this video

0:01

we're going to talk about a new ipo

0:03

coming in the electric vehicle space and

0:05

it's not some lame unprofitable spec

0:07

this time don't get me wrong i love some

0:10

of our lame unprofitable stocks for

0:12

speculating it but folks if you want to

0:14

make a real investment into evs

0:17

this could be a pretty big opportunity

0:20

let's talk about it right after i

0:21

mentioned that this video is brought to

0:22

you by stream yard go to metcalf.com

0:25

streamyard to learn more about

0:26

professional video broadcasting and live

0:29

streaming that you can do straight from

0:30

your browser medcavan.com streamyard

0:33

it's exactly what i use every time i

0:35

livestream to put up comments to operate

0:37

the live streams to get thumbnails and

0:39

titles set to schedule live streams it

0:42

is an incredible software and you can

0:44

even multi-stream to different platforms

0:46

like twitter facebook twitch you name it

0:49

take a look at stream yards by either

0:51

going to streamyard.com

0:54

meetkevin or metkevin.com streamyard

0:57

okay folks let's get into the video so

0:59

mobilei folks mobile eye is currently

1:02

owned by intel i have been wanting to

1:04

invest in mobile eye ever since i saw a

1:07

2016 video of a car using mobile eye

1:10

technology using well self-driving

1:13

essentially through israel now mobilei

1:15

uses mapped data lidar and a lot more

1:19

information than tesla's use to drive

1:22

autonomously through cities here's a

1:24

video that was posted more recently

1:25

about four months ago of a mobile eye

1:28

equipped vehicle driving through

1:31

new york and manhattan one of the

1:32

benefits of mobile is that it can be

1:34

equipped to multiple different vehicles

1:36

this company is expecting to be spun off

1:39

from intel in an ipo to give the company

1:42

a little bit more breathing room to be

1:43

able to raise their own capital and

1:46

ultimately launch robo taxi services the

1:48

company is expected to be valued in

1:50

excess of 50 billion dollars they

1:53

currently have deals with ford gili the

1:55

chinese manufacturer and many other

1:57

companies in fact their eq3

2:00

was the uh software and hardware that

2:03

tesla used back in 2016 until they had a

2:06

falling out which we'll talk more about

2:07

in a moment the eq4 powers neos es6 and

2:11

es8 nissan's pro pilot 2 volkswagen's

2:14

travel assist in the passat engulf the

2:16

ford machi and the ford f-150 truck the

2:19

eq5 is in the bmw ix and they're

2:23

developing the

2:25

iq6 along with i imagine many other

2:28

products now i'm really excited for this

2:30

company but i do know that their s1 when

2:33

they finally disclose that they're going

2:34

public with the s with the sec is going

2:37

to be critical

2:38

now what's really interesting is we

2:40

already hear that this company has over

2:42

442

2:44

million dollars of operating income over

2:47

the last 12 months this is so different

2:50

from a potentially unprofitable spec

2:53

because this company already appears

2:56

to be making a boatload of money and

3:00

profit that's going to make this a very

3:02

interesting and potentially hot ipo now

3:05

obviously its competitors are companies

3:07

like apple developing its own

3:09

software autonomy software for

3:10

self-driving companies like nvidia

3:13

qualcomm also working on their own

3:14

self-driving chips and tesla no doubt

3:17

tesla because tesla does not use

3:19

mobileye anymore chevy cruz is probably

3:21

the biggest stand-alone comp that i

3:23

could think of in terms of valuation

3:25

chevy cruz was purchased by gm for 1

3:28

billion in 2016 valued at 19 billion

3:32

dollars in 2019 valued at over 30

3:34

billion dollars in 2021 which

3:37

if you wanted to buy chevy cruze shares

3:39

on the stock market if you put a hundred

3:41

dollars into gm you'd basically be

3:44

putting about thirty dollars or maybe

3:46

even closer to thirty three dollars into

3:49

gm cruise remember gm cruise uses map

3:52

software and lidar for its autonomy

3:54

software you've also got to pay

3:56

attention to the road it's got those

3:57

lights on the wheel that kind of beat

3:58

back yeah if you take your eyes off the

3:59

road although tesla's kind of started

4:01

incorporating the cabin camera for this

4:03

purpose as well though there does seem

4:05

to be a cooldown in terms of how often

4:06

it will beep at you at least from my

4:08

experience with the vehicle

4:10

now we are expecting that robo taxis

4:14

will be launched uh in in really the

4:16

next few years by multiple different

4:18

companies both mobileye expecting a

4:20

launch in the middle of 2022 for robo

4:22

taxis and a gm crew chevy cruz expecting

4:26

to launch robo taxis over the next few

4:28

years and they expect that to be a 50

4:30

billion dollar revenue opportunity

4:33

folks mobilize was bought by intel for

4:35

15.3 billion dollars in 2017. i actually

4:38

considered investing in intel to get

4:41

basically my hands on mobile eye as a

4:43

way to diversify away from tesla and

4:44

other ev pies but i realized that if i

4:47

put 100 into gm 33 would go into

4:50

cruise but if i put 100 into intel only

4:53

about one or two dollars would actually

4:54

go into mobile eye that didn't make

4:56

sense now the company's being spun off

4:58

that could lead to a lot of opportunity

5:00

for that company to raise capital for a

5:01

lot of people to be able to invest in

5:02

the company now tesla stopped working

5:05

with the company they ended their

5:06

partnership with uh with mobileye

5:08

following a fatality of a car failing to

5:11

see a white uh tractor trailer cutting

5:13

the driver off on the highway and the

5:15

car driving under that tractor uh

5:16

trailer killing the driver

5:19

there were also

5:21

expectations that potentially the driver

5:22

was distracted watching i think it was

5:24

harry potter on his laptop but there was

5:26

a at that point an argument that elon

5:29

made that he wanted to create more

5:30

advanced technology that wasn't being

5:32

held back by being able to support

5:34

hundreds of models from legacy companies

5:36

that's because elon musk believes hey

5:38

why don't we just create one product

5:40

that we could use for uh for our cars

5:44

and we don't have to make this

5:46

be able to retrofit onto basically

5:48

hundreds of different models it's much

5:50

easier just to have four or five

5:51

different vehicles and have our autonomy

5:53

software perfected for these vehicles so

5:55

that's ultimately the direction that

5:57

elon musk went and of course elon musk

6:00

and tesla use their own chips now for

6:02

self-driving technology and their own

6:04

computing

6:05

and own algorithms to essentially

6:07

machine learn

6:09

or to make their autonomous software

6:11

better and better and better with every

6:13

update i've personally seen this having

6:15

owned a tesla since 2017 i've seen the

6:18

autopilot software go from absolutely

6:20

miserable to pretty phenomenally

6:22

incredible without even taking the car

6:24

in for service these are all just

6:25

through over-the-air updates and i

6:27

haven't even had the hardware upgraded

6:28

with the exception of recently because

6:29

i'm trying to get the full self-driving

6:31

beta but still waiting for new cameras

6:33

apparently it's kind of annoying anyway

6:36

uh mobileye does use lidar

6:38

and mobilei argues that tesla is going

6:40

to hit a glass ceiling

6:42

with their self-driving technology

6:44

unless they start adopting lidar

6:47

lidar is uh it we actually even had a

6:49

recall a few days ago about tesla

6:52

cameras which helped to mobilize

6:53

skyrocket about 10 percent i not mobile

6:56

micro vision skyrocket about 10

6:58

that's because i've made videos about

6:59

this before i personally think

7:01

microvision is a company that tesla

7:03

should just buy and just incorporate

7:05

that forward-facing glider right into

7:07

the little

7:08

rear view mirror display and boom now

7:10

you've got forward-facing light on it's

7:12

personally an argument that i've made

7:14

many times before sometimes that upsets

7:16

people and tests the community but uh

7:18

even though i'm a tesla bull i don't

7:19

like to be blinded by love

7:21

uh and i'm not saying that somebody else

7:23

watching this who is a tesla volunteer

7:24

doesn't like lidar is blinded by love

7:26

just saying uh it's okay to have

7:28

different opinions so uh we do uh know

7:31

that uh we've got uh a goal for mobileye

7:35

of going public this year hopefully uh

7:38

actually it might not be this year

7:39

anymore it's december already uh within

7:41

the next couple quarters is the goal for

7:43

when mobile i would be going public

7:44

based on

7:45

what we're hearing now uh it's also

7:48

worth taking a brief listen to the

7:50

mobilized ceo about what he talks about

7:53

for about 30 seconds with going

7:56

autonomous uh with robo taxis and then

7:58

also mapping data take take a listen in

8:01

here we are at an inflection point where

8:02

we believe middle of 2022 where we're

8:05

going to launch first our robot taxi and

8:08

all the deals that we have around it

8:10

both for uh autonomous cars consumer

8:13

consumer autonomous cars premium aides

8:16

adas it's a huge growth that we have

8:19

that you have experienced

8:21

and lots and lots of value going forward

8:24

and what is what is missing is

8:26

visibility and this is exactly what an

8:29

ipo will will provide mobile eye

8:32

and this value that will be created

8:34

would benefit intel going forward

8:36

because intel will still remain the

8:38

majority shareholder

8:40

worth noting intel's still gonna be a

8:42

majority shareholder we're gonna jump on

8:43

over to about three minutes here just to

8:45

listen to another part that's

8:46

interesting or both for uh autonomous

8:48

driving for uh ride-hailing but more

8:51

importantly for going for premium adas

8:54

for premium adas is something that

8:56

covers ninety-five percent of the

8:58

driving uh

9:00

aadis is advanced driving support

9:02

software and i wanted to actually cut

9:04

this off a little bit here he's talking

9:05

about maps how important mapping is and

9:07

i want to talk about that in tesla

9:08

briefly okay

9:10

and we have been mapping mapping the

9:12

world

9:13

and this gives us a huge asset going

9:16

forward both for

9:18

autonomous driving for

9:20

ride hailing but more importantly for

9:22

going for premium adas

9:24

right so this is a company that believes

9:27

you need to use premium maps that you

9:30

need to use lidar and all the

9:31

technologies that you have available to

9:34

essentially your company this is

9:36

completely the opposite of tesla and

9:38

elon musk who are much more focused on

9:42

eliminating parts the best part is no

9:44

part let's have no radar let's have no

9:46

lidar let's focus on vision because

9:49

that's what humans use humans use their

9:51

eyes so why do we need anything more

9:52

than that we don't need to map roads we

9:54

want to be able to take a vehicle

9:55

anywhere and not just on mapped roads to

9:58

be able to drive or use self-driving so

10:00

these are some massive differences of

10:02

course between tesla and mobile i expect

10:04

mobile to be a massive competitor to

10:06

tesla and

10:07

to some degree i think that microvision

10:09

and mobilei could be deemed hedges uh

10:11

against an investment in tesla

10:14

and ultimately i think they they are

10:16

both directionally positive i think if

10:18

you invest in microvision mobilize and

10:20

tesla

10:21

you're not going to be upset hashtag no

10:23

guarantees but i can tell you you'll be

10:48

10:50

believes you need to use premium maps

10:53

that you need to use lidar and all the

10:55

technologies that you have available to

10:57

essentially your company this is

10:59

completely the opposite of tesla and
