person maybe isn't looking at Twitch for

viewers are just discovering it right

now. Does that make sense?

into the Twitch world? Like I know I I

see of course last year like a lot of

interest in Twitch world? How how did

you like what was your first step like

oh I'm going to try streaming or

whatever it might have been. I'm curious

and maybe people on chat who don't know

may be curious.

started streaming 2020 I believe. And so

I saw Kaid streaming

>> and this is when her and Tyson were

first together.

And I remember I went over to their

place and Tyson like had it set up. I

think at this time he was like on C9 and

I was like watching him stream. I didn't

really understand Twitch or like I

didn't even know what Twitch was. Like I

grew up very normie.

>> And I always had like an interest in

doing like YouTube or like kind of like

the more influencer side.

>> So I kind of took streaming when I saw

my sister do like I like the cooking

videos mixed with the gaming. I like

took it as like an entry way into like

comfort zone of playing Valerant.

>> Okay. Oh, so you were already streaming

Val like you started off like doing some

Valerant?

>> Yeah. Like 2021.

while, but it was very part-time until I

was like almost graduated high school.

nervous so I never really collab with

people even though my sister's like get

out there. So like the odd time I would

do like baking shoes with Kaid and then

I switched over to IRL which is what I

do now but I'm trying to like integrate

doing like mini games and stuff but my

attention span is really bad.

>> RV games and stuff.

>> have you ever played like it takes two

and like games like that? I like games

that where I play with friends.

games, like too much investment

>> cuz it also it retain you need like 100%

attention the entire time you're

playing. Like with story games, I feel

like you could kind of like slow down

and talk and like kind of like look

around at like the graphics even of just

the game.

>> But when I play Valerant, I'm like

losing my mind. I'm like I just blinked

and said one word and I'm already dead.

it is. That's how that's why only the

best like gaming streamers are they have

to be like super super good at the game

like like you know like Tens or

something or they have to just be really

good at being personable but play games

that are like you're talking about more

like fun games to watch that you can

talk to chat on. Okay.

Interesting. Okay. But but IRL, like do

you do like travel outdoor IRL? I know I

know you do a lot of like um I guess

I've like collaborative or event IRL.

Have you done like travel IRL before?

Like abroad?

>> I haven't.

>> But I want to, but I'm also very scared

to solo IRL cuz you solo IRL, right?

>> Yeah, a lot. Yeah.

>> Does it Have you ever been like nervous?

Like I get nervous that I'm just like

not entertaining enough. I feel like Do

you ever like have like quiet spots when

you stream? Like where you get like a

little bit tired and you go quiet a

little bit

>> I'm tired all the time. No. Okay. Uh

yeah, for sure. I mean there's like

downtime, you know, like you're in a

taxi after a long day. You have like a

30-minute drive. You're like, "Oh god,

>> I need to like have a little rest." It

happens. But I think uh it's reasonable

like, you know, for IRL, but the the

meta alpha is crazy. It's very clip,

very high energy, very like like watch

speed. There is zero downtime on speed,

right?

>> But I feel like it's crazy how it's

changed so much. But that's why I feel

like when I'm like when I'm very quiet,

I'm just like this is not what people

want to watch and then I get anxious.

>> So that's why I feel like going solo

sometimes makes me anxious.

>> Cuz I feel like it's not it's not like

go go go enough

>> cuz I feed off other people's energy

too.

collaborative stuff like with someone is

always good because you can bounce off

each other. It keeps the flow going

better. I think every once in a while

having a solo stream is cool because it

builds I think it's really community

building. Like it helps you kind of look

at chat oneonone and really have like

these kind of moments that are very I

think strong and community building.

be very tightknit with my community. I

was like thinking about this the other

>> cuz like cuz I used to sit down and game

so I would like talk to all of my

chatters. I would talk to all of them.

Like I like my really frequent viewers

like 10 of them I knew like I knew their

first names and like what they would do

for work and like I would ask them how

they're doing and

>> But I just like to like know my

community, you know, cuz cuz you know

like viewers watch a streamer and they

know everything about the streamer, you

know, they're like cheering the streamer

on. They like talk to them about all

this stuff, but like nobody ever asks

about the viewer.

>> You know, you should ask about the

viewers more. That's what I that's what

I used to do a lot. But now I find it a

lot harder to do that because I feel

like I'll see like the odd like I'll see

probably like 10 or 15 like reoccurring

people that like really click in my head

that I see like type a lot,

>> But my chat just moves and it's like I

feel like sometimes it's hard to like

connect with my chat as much as I used

to be able to.

>> I mean that's a just like a struggling

from success thing. I think I think

you're probably doing great. But, you

know, take taking like every few weeks

like a stream where it's kind of like a

chill whatever kind of chill stream you

could call it or maybe you turn it into

something else. Little community

building day is always good.

certain level, it is much much harder to

retain that that tight community.

couple months streaming when I I met

did IRL.

to spend too much." She's like, "You

don't want to spend too much time on

Discord cuz it it like kind of make me

too easy to access." I think it lowers

down the uh how do I explain this? Like

when you're too involved with the

viewers,

demand for you goes lower cuz you're

like just everywhere. Whereas like if

you're if you just like seldom come on

exciting." I don't know if that makes

that that's why I suck at being a

streamer because I'm just always on

Discord talking to my chat.

Like, in the moment, every stream that I

did while I was doing it, I think I

enjoyed.

have really bad anxiety, so I like

structure when I like do streams. So, in

my head, I'm like, "Okay, if this

doesn't work, then I can do this."

with the flow and keep going or I like

feel content ending there. But it was

like all over the [ __ ] place and I

was just like, "Oh my god." Like, "What

am I doing right now?"

last week and I love Yui, but I I left

that streaming like, "Damn, we just

hopped around like so many topics, so

many like like I was like I'm like a

yapper, too." And I was like, "Dude,

Yuki [ __ ] yaps, man."

does IRL to be like like constantly

entertaining has to have something to

talk about and just keeps talking. like

everyone. But what I noticed as soon as

everyone gets off stream, it's like

you see these people online and they're

so like energetic and talkative and are

like doing all this crazy stuff and then

as soon as the cameras go off, it's like

and then you just get tired. Like we had

we had dinner with Speed in Chongqing.

Like when he was doing his China trip

last year and like that's the first

thing I noticed was like okay we're all

the same cuz he's so high energy. Dinner

he's just like no words. Drink his wine,

eat his food, go to sleep like

I think the only thing I do bad is I

overshare.
