A DELICIOUS INDIAN FOOD ADVENTURE IN THE US 🇺🇸🇮🇳 | Mexican guy eating Indian Food | BetoEats

namaste everybody welcome to beth the

weeds today

is a very early day for me it it's about

6 a.m

right now i did have to wake up at like

3 a.m since i had to take my girlfriend

sarah to the airport

so i don't know if you can tell i am a

little tired but we are about to go get

some coffee

i am in a city called yuba city and in

this city they tend to have really good

indian food and a lot more indian

options than the city that i normally

live in i

found this place called the taj and they

make some indian

wraps the indian wrap that i'm super

excited to try they make a paneer

wrap where they make it with naan they

put some paneer and i think some aloo in

there

and i think some like tomatoes and maybe

onions and chutney

that sounds so amazing i've never tried

something like that and i am

super excited to try it but since it's

only 6 a.m right now i do have to wait

till about

9 a.m until that place opens up i am

outside

there is a coffee shop nearby so i might

just walk to the coffee shop get some

coffee wake up a little bit

maybe i'll walk around just so i'm not

just sitting here for three hours

waiting for

the restaurant to open but i will be the

first person

in that restaurant to get that indian

style wrap that's what we're doing today

i'm super excited

i'm not sure if in india there's a

starbucks but in the united states it's

a big

coffee chain and it's very popular it's

very good

i would say good quality coffee very

delicious

so i came here since it was near the taj

which is the indian restaurant that i'm

waiting to open

and it's pretty good

i have to say nice and warm it's kind of

a cold morning here

windy cold so this really hits the spot

and the very interesting thing like i

said

there are some roosters just around the

area

which isn't normal there usually isn't

like roosters or chickens

just around parking lots but there is in

this one

i might just go walk around i do see

that there is

a grocery store back here i might just

go in there and see if i need anything

for other videos that i'll be making in

the future but let's see

let's find out so as i was walking

around i found this

mexican grocery store so i'm hoping they

have fun dulce in it

i think it would be really cool to go

with my coffee

hopefully they have the mexican sweet

bread or pandulse in here

that would be amazing for my coffee

all right we got our bread let's go have

this with my coffee hopefully my coffee

is still warm

i'm excited alright so i did get my

mexican sweet bread or this is called

pandulse in mexico it is so amazing

usually you have this with some coffee

or some milk

for breakfast it's so good they just

made it fresh this morning

it's about 7 a.m so this is really fresh

i am so excited to show you this

let's see this is the one that i got for

me i did get a lot more for my family

since they love it too i'm gonna

surprise them with it today

but right now while we wait for the

indian food restaurant to open

you know have a little sweet pastry have

some pandu se with my hot coffee

i think this is a pretty good start to

my morning and this one i think has a

little bit of sweet

cream inside it's gonna be so good let's

go ahead and try it here we go

oh my gosh that is so amazing it's a

little messy for sure but

oh my gosh slightly

crunchy on the outside that cream is

nice and sweet and amazing

oh wonderful morning

wonderful start to my morning i am so

happy

wow definitely try panduinse if any of

you get a chance

usually they have them at mexican

grocery stores they tend to have

bakeries

in there and they make fun [ __ ] this

is the one that i was craving today as

you saw there is

many different types this one i actually

don't think i've ever tried

so i wanted to try it and i am so happy

that i did get it

this is the last bite

we got about an hour left before the

indian restaurant

opens so in the meantime i'll probably

just watch maybe like a movie on my

phone

and just wait it out so i'll see you in

about an hour when we order some food

so i actually ended up finding this

indian

bazaar let's go ahead and see what we

wait for

the restaurant to open i'm guessing this

is what i'm gonna be trying but in the

restaurant like freshly made

that was super cool i didn't expect a

bazaar to be open that early in the

morning so

since it's only about 8 a.m so i decided

to go do some shopping for my next

youtube video

let me show you what i got at the indian

bazaar

the indian bazaar was called la

merchandise i believe very first thing i

invested in

one of these trays one of these dish

trays

i see them a lot at indian restaurants

and i i like them because

it separates you know your curries and

your side dishes

or maybe you have like a curry here like

papaji

um maybe some onion some chilies you can

separate that out so that would be super

cool for my youtube videos

it is a little dusty so i definitely

gotta clean it before i use it

but i'm excited for this for my next

youtube video i am trying to cook

paneer for the very first time so i did

get some

paneer to be honest with you i'm not too

sure

if this is the best paneer i could have

gotten uh but this is the one that i saw

a lot of so i decided to go ahead and

get this one this one is called

gopi paneer looks pretty good it cost me

about five dollars for this block

by the way this one cost me about eight

dollars with tax i'll also put how much

that is in rupees for the for the dish

let me know if this is a good brand of

paneer for my dish maybe next time i'll

get something else but for now i am

going to have to use this one to prepare

that paneer i did need some spices which

i didn't have i do have things like

garam masala

i do have things like coriander and all

those other spices

but i don't have these so first of all

cha

masala i don't have and i finally found

it after

going to like three different bazaars

and also kasori methi

i've never found this in normal american

grocery stores

i'm so happy i finally found it these

were the two

ingredients that i needed to make my

paneer so i'm super excited for that

let's see how that goes in my next

week's video i did notice that that

store had a lot of produce or a lot of

vegetables and fruits that normally i

don't see in other indian bazaars

i know that in india they are famous for

their mangoes i did see some other type

of mangoes that i have tried before

but i have been looking for alfonso

mangoes

for the longest time maybe for almost

two years i've been looking for alfonso

mangos but i can never find them

but i at least found the canned version

and i've been looking for this to make

some really good mango lassi

this goes for about this was about four

us dollars i'll also put how much that

is in rupees down below

in total for all of those items it was

about 20 21

i'll put how much that is in rupees

right here it is about 10 minutes before

the restaurant opens

once the restaurant opens i'm gonna give

them a call so when i drive there the

food will be ready so i could eat that

delicious wrap that i've been trying to

eat the whole day

i finally got the food there is a lot of

food here oh my gosh

the restaurant is called the taj it

looks like a very nice restaurant inside

so the very first thing that i got this

is called a property

chat it's looking amazing i wanted some

type of chat and i saw this one which i

haven't tried

in the past it looks amazing the bad

thing though i don't have a spoon so i'm

gonna have to just

kind of like dip in there the good thing

is that it looks like

it's almost like a cracker so i don't

think i'll need a spoon for this

oh this looks amazing look at that it

has chutney

it has onions

maybe some yogurt on top garbanzo beans

wow okay i gotta try this this looks too

amazing to not try

oh my gosh

this is amazing i think on top there's

also like pieces of paneer

i don't know maybe i'll bite it let's

see

i wonder what this is

mmm oh okay

um i'm not too sure what the what this

is

but it's more like a uh like a patty

maybe like a bread patty

maybe some aloo i'm not too sure but

it's very delicious it's almost like a

sponge that soaks up

all of that chutney in there

mmm wow if i were to describe this it

would be very

fresh very delicious a little tangy a

little

sweet a little sour it just has a little

bit of everything and it's

so yummy

i need to get to the main dish which is

the wrap the paneer wrap that i've been

waiting for

all today let's get to that really quick

here is another appetizer that i did get

this is

gobi manchurian i got this because my

mom loves it

and so i'm gonna have to surprise her

with that you all haven't seen my mom

in a while because she is in recovery

she had some

leg surgery recently so she is

recovering once she is better and fully

recovered you will definitely see my mom

coming back to my youtube videos

oh my gosh are you seeing this look at

that

wow this looks so amazing

i'm a big fan of gobi manchurian and

this

this looks like really good gobi

manchurian

i gotta try this oh my gosh

look at that

it smells amazing it smells exactly how

kobe manchurian should oh it's gonna be

so

savory oh okay let's go and try this one

that's amazing

that is really that is some high quality

gobi manchurian that is so yummy

kobe manchurian is one of my favorite

indian appetizers

i think it was one of my very first

indian appetizers back in 2018

ever since then i've been hooked on to

this i love

indo-chinese dishes yummy so

good so delicious definitely a 10 out of

10.

because i could eat all of this but i

need to get to my wrap while it's still

warm

so this is it right here this is

the wrap oh my gosh i didn't think it

was going to be this big look at that

wow look at this i actually didn't think

it was going to be this big

but i am not complaining on how big it

is

it's non on the outside inside you get

some

chutney you get some paneer some tomato

some lettuce oh it's gonna be so good

this is what i've been waiting for all

day ever since i saw that on them

on their menu they had this i was like

okay i need to get

this and also there's some there's some

paneer and a loo inside of this that's

gonna be so great okay

we gotta try this let's do it

oh man

words cannot describe

how amazing this is wow

whoever thought of putting paneer aloo

inside of naan with some veggies and

some chutney

you are a genius this is so yummy

definitely a 10 out of 10.

amazing oh and there's also some

cucumber in here so

you do get that freshness as well in

there

amazing i can't believe that i've never

tried paneer

until i was like 23 22 years old and

that was about

like two years ago i can't believe i

didn't try this all of my life that's

why now that i'm aware of all these

delicious indian food

i'm just trying as much as i can and

whenever i have a chance i take it to my

family to my friends because

they need to try it too it's just that

good

i noticed that there's also like kind of

like a yogurt-based sauce in there

that makes it kind of a little sour it's

really yummy

i probably waited a total of three hours

just for the restaurant to open up

once i ordered it probably took another

45 minutes so i almost waited

four hours for this and let me tell you

i would do it again and again and again

and again

just to come and get more of this food

it was so worth it in the meantime we

did have some really cool adventures

we went to starbucks got some coffee we

went to

the mexican grocery store and got some

pandora or the sweet bread that you saw

me eat

and then from there i found an indian

bazaar and found some really neat things

some paneer that i'll be cooking later

this week

overall i think it was such an amazing

adventure that i got to share with you

all and

ending it with the perfect ending which

is having

this delicious appetizer chat

and finally oh yeah the special

paneer wrap right here

perfect day so far amazing

that this

is super delicious and everybody should

try this if they ever get a chance

experience with the food that i got
