0:00

so Elon muscot sued and even though

0:02

inflation numbers came in way better

0:04

than expected we had a funky market

0:06

today what is that going to tell us for

0:09

tomorrow and what just happened

0:10

regarding layoffs and who's this Pete

0:13

guy that literally everybody keeps

0:16

talking about when it comes to the

0:18

Secretary of Defense let's go through

0:21

all of this along with getting you a

0:23

little bit of a fire update we're going

0:25

to keep this one short and sweet since

0:27

I'm a little bit behind today but a lot

0:30

of progress being made in the studio

0:32

which is really exciting because we're

0:34

going to be coming to you with 4K live

0:36

streams soon especially for the

0:38

inauguration very excited anyway let's

0:40

get started with today's meet Kevin

0:42

report news that makes you wel okay so

0:46

first thing first PPI this morning came

0:48

in shockingly low and my expectation was

0:51

that if we were going to get a low PPI

0:53

read well then we would have seen a

0:55

potential rally in the stock market so

0:58

we didn't get that I don't know if it's

1:00

because everybody's just waiting for CPI

1:02

tomorrow which I'll give you some of the

1:03

estimates and that way if you're

1:05

watching this for you know if you're

1:06

watching this after cpi's already out

1:08

you can kind of compare to what the

1:10

expectations are and then we can still

1:12

talk about all of the other goodies

1:13

including layoffs and what's going on

1:15

with micro at various different

1:16

companies uh by the way speaking of

1:19

micro Jim Kramer says that you should

1:21

sell super micro computers I think

1:24

that's about the most bullish thing I've

1:26

ever heard uh anyway so PPI this morning

1:29

the expectation was that it was going to

1:31

come in at 0.4 on the month over month

1:33

we got 0. 2 which is phenomenal it came

1:35

in way lower than expected that's on the

1:36

headline number which includes energy

1:39

gas oil these are December numbers right

1:41

month-over-month core came in at Zero

1:43

versus the3 expected uh producer prices

1:46

less food energy and trade so a further

1:49

category of core came in at 0.1 versus.

1:51

3 expected the annual figures both came

1:54

in. 2 and. 3% lower than expected

1:57

overall these numbers were just good

2:00

good so why were markets not very

2:04

enthusiastic today well probably because

2:07

everybody's just waiting for the

2:09

Consumer Price Index tomorrow now both

2:12

pieces of the CPI and PPI come together

2:16

to come up with the pce which is what

2:18

the Federal Reserve uses to keep Hawking

2:21

the problem is you're an environment

2:24

where right now everybody doesn't even

2:26

really care anymore about these one-off

2:28

reports people are almost convinced

2:30

whether right or wrong that the Federal

2:32

Reserve is just going to stop with their

2:35

rate reduction process and as a result

2:38

sorry for these noises here there we go

2:39

let's get that fixed as a result of this

2:41

process what it'll end up happening is

2:43

you'll end up getting a Federal Reserve

2:45

that just goes too far but markets don't

2:48

price in the recession or go too far

2:51

apart What markets just do first is they

2:54

say whatever If the Fed ain't going to

2:56

cut rates anymore sell bonds especially

2:59

the long longer end of the curve that's

3:01

exactly what you're seeing so even

3:03

though we got great PPI numbers this

3:05

morning what ended up happening interest

3:07

rates went up to 4.8% on the 10 year

3:09

like this it is very Topsy Turvy and it

3:13

is usually exactly this kind of behavior

3:17

that ends up leading a

3:19

market to start doing a little bit more

3:22

poorly it's not great I'm not happy

3:24

about hearing it because eventually

3:27

those rates bite and when those rates

3:30

bite you get layoffs now layoffs aren't

3:33

necessarily bad I mean look meta for

3:36

example is cutting 5% of the jobs at

3:38

their company they're cutting their

3:40

quote unquote the lowest performing

3:41

workers which honestly if anybody on

3:43

their resume says that they stopped

3:45

working at meta around January of 2025

3:47

they're going to be attached to that

3:48

label and it's kind of like you're

3:50

branding people by firing them and

3:53

saying that so I feel really bad for

3:55

anybody who's getting laid off under the

3:57

assumption that they're the lower

3:58

performing worker that's going to be a

4:00

hard one for people to shake uh at least

4:02

for hirers who are paying attention but

4:05

Zuck says that 2025 is going to be a

4:07

quot intense year and they plan to

4:10

rehire but they don't indicate when they

4:12

plan to rehire now what's more important

4:15

here is not that they plan to rehire but

4:17

look them doing layoffs like I was

4:19

leading into them doing layoffs is not

4:22

what matters they cut a lot of Staff in

4:25

2022 and 2023 like 10% of their staff

4:28

you know twice as much as they're

4:29

cutting

4:30

now but those years were different and

4:33

I'm not saying this time is different

4:34

I'm saying those years had layoffs when

4:37

the broader Market still had two job

4:40

openings for every available worker so

4:42

you didn't really have to worry about a

4:44

worker going out and not being able to

4:46

find a job because there were so many

4:48

available jobs now people are getting

4:51

laid off and they're getting dumped into

4:52

an environment where it's taking longer

4:54

to get a job sometimes up to 6 months

4:56

for a tech worker to get a job and

4:58

you're getting more or cuts at other

5:00

businesses at the same time when the

5:03

unemployed to available job Gap is a 1:1

5:07

ratio right now which you start getting

5:09

some of these layoffs here in January

5:10

February March you're going to start

5:12

having fewer jobs available than there

5:14

are workers unemployed that's what

5:16

starts slowing an economy down and why

5:18

your business is doing it well Microsoft

5:20

literally took the words out of my mouth

5:22

because I've been warning about it for a

5:24

very long time Microsoft is pausing

5:26

hiring in its Consulting unit as well as

5:29

laying off about 1% of our workers to

5:31

help earnings it's the same thing that's

5:35

going on with JP Morgan everybody's got

5:36

to come back to work yeah it's a way to

5:39

quiet fire people you've got uh lineage

5:42

the um refrigerator uh the warehouse

5:45

refrigerating company you know they they

5:46

stock all the tattoo Chef oh uh they

5:49

stock all the uh you know Frozen Goods

5:51

or whatever for various different

5:52

distributors uh they ipoed 6 months ago

5:55

and and now they're already issuing a

5:57

bunch of layoffs Wayfair is cutting 3%

5:59

of its work force a lot of that in

6:00

Germany so these are all just

6:02

announcements we got today and we're

6:03

only on day 14 like we haven't even hit

6:06

inauguration yet now what's interesting

6:09

is musk Bezos Zuckerberg they're all

6:12

going to the inauguration by the way

6:14

Michelle Obama is not that'll be next

6:15

Monday we'll be covering that live

6:17

obviously on the channel uh but the the

6:19

layoffs are beginning so we're going to

6:21

want to pay attention to that which I

6:23

think this recipe is so weird the market

6:26

reacting poorly to good inflation

6:28

numbers

6:29

at the same time as getting layoffs at

6:31

the same time as the market

6:33

thinking listening to the FED basically

6:35

saying everything's fine there's nothing

6:37

to worry about and they're like all

6:38

right said everything's fine so they

6:40

wash their hands of bonds driving yields

6:42

up which actually creates more pressure

6:44

on these companies to lay off more

6:45

people I I don't know how I feel about

6:48

it I don't feel very good about that oh

6:50

well uh we'll see what happens uh Elon

6:53

Musk on the other hand has also now

6:54

gotten sued for failing to report the

6:56

acquisition of more than the 5% Twitter

6:58

stake all right now this this has two

7:01

sides here supporters of Elon Musk say

7:03

this is just law fair that is the

7:06

easiest argument to make that anytime

7:09

anybody you like who is on on the right

7:12

side of the political Spectrum uh gets

7:14

Accused by anything the immediate go-to

7:16

is oh it's law

7:18

fair okay uh supporters uh also argue

7:23

that it doesn't really matter if Elon

7:25

Musk acquired more than 5% because he

7:28

overpaid for the stock anyway so what

7:30

are you complaining about the company

7:32

lost like half of its value after he

7:34

bought it now maybe it'll be worth more

7:36

in the future it it's more worth now

7:38

maybe who knows but we're not there yet

7:41

we're not in the future we're in a place

7:42

where hey at that time he bought and the

7:46

value went down so supporters are like

7:48

look if anything it was good he overpaid

7:51

and other people say this is just law

7:52

fair right so that's sort of the

7:54

supporter argument others say none of

7:57

that matters and Elon just simple fact

8:00

failed to report his trades on time all

8:02

right so here's the background US

8:04

District Judge Andrew Carter said

8:06

shareholders in a proposed class action

8:08

lawsuit could try to prove that musk

8:10

intended to defraud them by waiting 11

8:13

days past the US SEC deadline to reveal

8:16

that he bought a 5% stake in Twitter

8:18

usually once you own 5% of a company

8:19

you're supposed to post a notice that

8:21

hey I now own 5% of a company it's a

8:23

public filing with the SEC you have a

8:25

deadline to do that Elon Musk missed

8:27

that by waiting 11 days past the filing

8:30

deadline shareholders then and these are

8:33

these are from you know cases that have

8:35

been going on there are a couple cases

8:37

one in Delaware I think one's in Rhode

8:38

Island but there are a couple cases that

8:40

have been going on against musk really

8:43

since earlier this year and and uh since

8:46

2022 when he first made his Acquisitions

8:48

that's when a lot of these problems took

8:49

place but anyway shareholders led by an

8:52

Oklahoma firefighter pension fund said a

8:55

musk saved more than $200 million by

8:58

adding to his Twitter stake and quietly

9:00

talking with its Executives about his

9:01

plans before disclosing the 99.2% stake

9:05

in April of 2022 now again in

9:09

hindsight it's obvious you know for the

9:11

shares he overpaid for it I mean he

9:13

overpaid so badly at the time that he

9:17

wanted to get out of the deal he wanted

9:18

to cancel the deal saying Twitter was

9:20

full of bots I was at the all-in summit

9:23

when when he was complaining about this

9:24

when he showed up on Zoom which was kind

9:26

of lame but anyway he was supposed to

9:27

show up in person but anyway uh he's

9:29

like oh you're not buying a a you know a

9:32

house you're buying a termite making a

9:34

reference to real estate and and the

9:36

house being infested with termites which

9:38

you go down into the real estate

9:40

analogies at least with a house you can

9:42

get rid of the termites Elon still

9:44

hasn't gotten rid of the Bots uh but

9:47

anyway so look obviously at the time we

9:53

don't know what would happen in the

9:55

future but if you go back to 2022 while

9:58

this was all happen happening when

10:00

people saw that Elon wanted to start

10:01

buying shares of X well now X then

10:04

Twitter other people wanted to join and

10:07

they wanted to buy shares as well and

10:10

because Elon failed to disclose the

10:12

stake until later yes that news of him

10:15

wanting to buy it didn't break until

10:17

later now obviously when he wanted to

10:19

cancel the deal Twitter fell the entire

10:21

stock market fell so maybe Elon wanted

10:23

to cancel because the entire stock

10:25

market was falling maybe he wanted to

10:26

cancel because he thought he overpaid it

10:29

do doesn't really matter whether the

10:31

stock went up or down really has no

10:33

bearing on the fact the fact is he made

10:36

an oopsy doopsy on the timing now should

10:39

the SEC just go all right A lot of

10:41

people make an oopsy doopsy here's a

10:42

$5,000 fine

10:45

whatever maybe but now the SEC is suing

10:48

Elon Musk is it possible they put a

10:50

highlighter through his name because

10:51

he's Elon Musk and he's associated with

10:53

Trump and right now the SEC is still led

10:55

by Gary Gensler who is like the opposite

10:58

of you know Camp

11:00

Trump yeah totally and that's where the

11:03

lawfare argument comes in so I could see

11:06

both sides but it's very important to

11:08

know there are actually two sides here

11:11

and it obviously takes a lot longer than

11:13

you know a single tweet to explain this

11:15

hence why I'm explaining it here because

11:17

I think that people who watch these meet

11:19

Kevin reports really value perspective

11:21

and I really do my best to try to give

11:23

both sides of the perspectives which now

11:25

I'm going to give you both sides of

11:26

perspectives of uh on on on Pete heg

11:29

Seth who uh had his secretary of defense

11:32

confirmation hearing this morning well

11:34

at least round one of questioning uh so

11:37

I'm just going to hit the drama point so

11:38

I watched this for like hours this

11:40

morning while I was building the studio

11:42

by the way I'm still not done building

11:43

the studio so forgive me like things are

11:45

clunky I don't have my cameras on the

11:47

right place yet the lighting isn't right

11:49

yet it's it's been a lot I think I'm 50

11:53

to 80% of the way there I'm somewhere in

11:55

that range I've still got you know

11:57

probably another 6 hours of finalizing

11:59

in here to do but anyway the biggest

12:01

drama points that have come up so far I

12:03

can't believe that this is one of them

12:05

but uh apparently Pete has a tattoo of

12:10

the Jerusalem cross uh which has been

12:13

seen popularized during the Crusades on

12:16

Shields or the code of arms for various

12:19

different uh uh you know I mean quite

12:21

frankly it was on a Cod of arms for the

12:23

city of Jerusalem at one point it's on

12:25

the flag of Georgia which is a country

12:28

not the state

12:30

uh it's a symbol of Christianity it's a

12:32

symbol of Christ it's literally

12:35

inscribed into the floor of the church

12:37

where Jimmy Carter was put to rest like

12:39

this is a pretty common symbol but some

12:42

people see it as a symbol of like

12:44

Christianity is the best or white

12:45

supremacy or or whatever I don't see it

12:49

as that I think people are trying to

12:50

make something out of nothing here but I

12:52

just want to mention it uh there are

12:55

representations of this going back again

12:56

to the Crusades but even before that

12:58

some people say the sort of large cross

13:01

in the middle and then the uh four

13:03

crosses to the side symbolize Christ and

13:06

uh his Five Wounds some say it

13:09

symbolizes Christ and his four gospels

13:12

some say it represents Christianity in

13:14

the middle and then the spread to the

13:15

four corners of the world that's when

13:17

they thought the Earth was flat anyway

13:19

he was a former Army National Guardsman

13:22

uh he served at Guantanamo Bay Iraq

13:25

Afghanistan multiple different duties I

13:28

I don't really understand fully the

13:29

whole like wait National Guard but then

13:32

deployed I I'm just going to be frank

13:34

there if somebody can give me an

13:35

explanation on that in in the comments

13:37

that'd be great so I'm just going to

13:38

leave it at that okay after he served uh

13:42

for multiple years and and on on various

13:44

different Duty tours he became a fox

13:46

contributor in 2024 and became a co-host

13:49

with Kennedy in 2018 now Kennedy's I I

13:53

like Kennedy she was a big fan of me

13:55

when I ran for governor I've we've we've

13:57

got a lunch together in man hatan I mean

14:00

she's she's a wonderful person I think

14:01

she's great and I saw her on Fox uh I

14:05

think it was this morning actually and

14:06

uh her house survived so far knock on

14:10

wood uh the fire because she's got a

14:12

house over here as well but anyway the

14:14

largest criticism of Pete so far uh have

14:18

really been based on his potential or

14:22

alleged treatment of women now I don't

14:25

know but it does seem like Pete based on

14:28

what I saw and his testimony he kind of

14:30

seems like he admits to cheating on his

14:32

second wife and then having now a

14:33

seven-year-old daughter with now his

14:35

third

14:37

wife that uh combined with comments that

14:41

he's made on podcasts and books that

14:43

women shouldn't serve in combat roles uh

14:46

and that standards shouldn't be lowered

14:48

for women a lot of people agree with

14:50

that by the way a lot both well I mean

14:52

some people agree with both of those

14:54

some people agree with just the second

14:55

one that standard shouldn't be lowered

14:56

right uh yeah I think I think a woman

14:59

that any woman that could meet the

15:00

standards that sort of the average

15:02

enrolled dude meets fine with me that

15:05

but that that's my take my opinion

15:06

doesn't so much matter though uh but um

15:10

it does not help that in 2018 his very

15:13

mother so 6 years ago he's 44 so when he

15:16

was 38 when he was 38 his mother wrote

15:18

in an email I have no respect for any

15:21

man that belittles lies cheats sleeps

15:24

around and uses women for his own power

15:26

and ego you are that man and have been

15:29

for years and as your mother it pains me

15:32

and embarrasses me to say but it is the

15:34

sad sad truth now in an interview with a

15:36

New York Times his mother regrets that

15:39

and says she she wrote that in Anger

15:41

during the divorce and followed it up

15:44

with an apologetic email blah

15:47

blah my point is look he's got some

15:49

blemishes but then again who does it

15:51

everybody's got some oopsy dupsies and

15:53

I'm not trying to dismiss cheating uh

15:56

you know I'm not that is that is not my

15:59

my job here to do at all uh don't cheat

16:01

okay but in this case this is what they

16:04

are trying to get against him now there

16:06

are also allegations that he potentially

16:10

uh had inappropriate personal uh conduct

16:13

or uh you know ultimately there are

16:16

allegations here of financial

16:18

mismanagement as well when he was

16:20

working for certain organizations such

16:22

as the Veterans for freedom and

16:24

Concerned Veterans for America

16:27

groups uh he ended up stepping aside

16:29

from those rules through some of these

16:32

allegations uh and then later ended up

16:36

getting a job at Fox he was a commenter

16:39

at Fox or commentator as they like to

16:41

say at Fox and he's been a commentator

16:43

there since about 2013 and in 2018 he

16:47

got a co-host role and eventually ended

16:49

up moving on to Fox and Friends since

16:51

then he's potentially earned as much as

16:53

$6 million as a broadcaster speaker and

16:56

author per filings

16:59

all right so that's a little bit on Pete

17:01

he's very likely to get approved the

17:03

Senate arms Services committee has 14

17:05

Republicans 13 Dems so he can really

17:07

only afford to lose one Republican and

17:11

still get confirmed it's likely he is

17:14

going to get confirmed though uh so far

17:16

his his performance has actually been in

17:18

my opinion pretty decent uh oh look at

17:21

this I was just going to talk about the

17:22

fires and look who's on TV with the

17:24

policies protect you from a future

17:26

earthquake protect you from a future

17:29

fire protect you from preventing

17:31

insurance companies prices of going up

17:33

do you believe that's going to happen

17:35

the answer is no number two if you

17:37

choose to build a house and you want to

17:38

rebuild how long you think it's going to

17:40

take to get those permits probably 12 24

17:42

36 months number three if you choose to

17:45

have kids why would you raise your kids

17:47

in the school system of California no

17:49

matter what part of California you were

17:50

in why would you do that so you don't

17:52

trust the system number four if you

17:54

choose to start a small business in

17:55

California do you think they've cleaned

17:57

the homelessness they got $4 billion of

18:00

taxpayer money and homelessness just

18:02

went out in America we have 770,000 of

18:05

homeless people in America 181 of it is

18:09

in California this man has been the

18:12

governor for 6 years the lieutenant

18:14

governor prior to that for eight years

18:16

his policies have destroyed a once great

18:19

state this is why uh you saw that

18:23

tweet all right so he donated to my

18:26

campaign for governor by the way we have

18:29

empty reservoirs we find out $650

18:33

million allocated to make the port of LA

18:36

green we found out that the state you

18:40

know that they have $2.6 billion dollar

18:43

allocated for firefighting but they but

18:46

$101

18:48

million uh was cut from that uh we know

18:52

that the city of Los Angeles cut money

18:54

we know that they're spending a100

18:57

billion on electric Vehicles we know

19:00

that the city of Los Angeles is spending

19:02

800 Grand on electric street sweepers

19:06

but they're cutting the fire department

19:08

budget how do you fix stupid cuz it's

19:11

all stupid and it's all

19:14

preventable well I mean you you saw the

19:16

the exchange with mayor bass where she

19:19

went up there and she said well I'll

19:20

never as a mayor I'll never leave the

19:23

states I'll never go abroad she left

19:24

five times it the leaders are not

19:26

leading that state but think about it

19:28

this way the Palisades you look at all

19:30

the fires 880,000 Acres 24 death toll

19:33

that we know about right now all the

19:35

homes $250 billion of Damages today

19:39

Reservoir Santa inz

19:42

117 million gallons of water it can have

19:45

since February of last year it's been

19:48

zero why because there was a hole in the

19:50

cover that they had that that was one

19:52

mile away from the fire that took place

19:54

we can look at so many different angles

19:56

high elev it's just bad policies and sit

19:59

there thinking people are not going

20:00

toing the next pH of people maybe

20:02

Hollywood doesn't maybe the Boomers in

20:04

California that have lived there for a

20:06

while don't leave maybe some of the

20:07

folks that are sitting there that have

20:09

Family Ties restaurants businesses don't

20:10

leave but that 35 to 45 year old that

20:13

knows the next 20 years are going to be

20:15

the best money-making gear of their

20:17

careers they're looking at Nevada

20:18

they're looking at Texas and they're

20:20

looking at Florida and uh I can't blame

20:23

them for looking at any one of those but

20:24

I will tell you they don't get a penny

20:26

unless they adopt the science of

20:28

forestry so that the American taxpayer

20:30

won't have to give one more Penny to

20:32

California frankly in many ways they

20:35

should they should have to fix this

20:36

themselves they elected these people

20:39

they they wanted these environmental

20:40

radicals in office and this is what they

20:42

got and sadly I bet they elect kamla

20:45

next that's pathetic all right

20:47

appreciate you being with us when we

20:48

come back Joe Biden KLA Harris they

20:50

continue to embarrass themselves on the

20:52

way all right well for forgive me I'm

20:53

not trying to come across as one-sided

20:55

here uh I I've just uh I am I've all for

20:59

a very long time been frustrated with

21:00

the politics of California I've just had

21:02

this mindset of like hopefully I can get

21:04

my voice out and and change help be part

21:07

of the change of California rather than

21:09

than just leaving it uh but uh leaving

21:12

it is obviously the Easy Choice I mean

21:14

nothing there we haven't heard from um

21:17

Patrick B David uh a lot of passion

21:20

obviously there and he's not wrong about

21:23

uh the Sant yanz Reservoir which is a a

21:26

local run uh Los Angeles water power run

21:30

uh facility that was empty Gavin Newsome

21:33

points the finger by saying oh well it's

21:35

not state run so okay well you're still

21:37

in charge of the state and that

21:39

Reservoir had a higher altitude than the

21:41

Palisades which could have contributed

21:42

to water pressure in the Palisades where

21:45

20% of fire hydrant stopped

21:49

working Patrick B David also rightly

21:52

complains about homelessness it's it's

21:54

worth noting that we just had an auto

21:57

fire uh in Tura County just about 8

22:00

minutes from me uh it burned about 55

22:02

Acres last night was uh started around

22:05

6:30 it was uh contained at about 12:30

22:08

we got a lot of firefighters out very

22:10

very quick response time since SoCal

22:12

right now we've got about another 24

22:14

hours of serious wins that we're going

22:15

to have to deal with but after that we

22:18

we should be on the chill mode if you

22:20

will

22:21

hopefully excuse me but uh the Auto fire

22:25

was uh was probably started this is my

22:27

speculation but it started in the river

22:29

bottom out here which the river bottom

22:32

here is almost always occupied by

22:34

homeless they have encampments down

22:36

there and it's not uncommon for their

22:38

you know space their little kind of

22:40

flame heaters or whatever to uh to catch

22:43

things on fire especially when winds are

22:44

very strong and one of them gets blown

22:46

over and then all of a sudden the gas

22:48

spills and boom there you go there's

22:49

your there's your Wildfire so very very

22:52

very very very common out here usually

22:54

they don't go to 55 Acres this one did

22:57

went up to a golf course

22:58

go of course because we had water turned

23:02

its landscape sprinklers on that was

23:05

clutch uh I just also quickly want to

23:07

mention regarding Pete uh worth saying

23:09

that regarding Pete there is some

23:11

speculation that

23:13

potentially uh was this a favor to Fox

23:16

News to keep Trump in his uh in their

23:20

good graces uh some were saying that's

23:25

you know just something to pay attention

23:26

to but anyway uh a lot of news today

23:29

about the same spot reignition for the

23:31

Palisades fire we already covered that

23:33

two days ago so if you want to know just

23:35

type into YouTube meet Kevin cause of

23:38

Palisades fire and you'll see the meet

23:41

Kevin report from two days ago where we

23:43

already went into this so I'm not going

23:44

to rehash that I just want you to know

23:46

like yes I'm seeing all the other

23:48

mainstream media talk about it or

23:49

whatever but I'm like bro this is old

23:50

news okay we've covered this two days

23:52

ago fine they're just now getting to it

23:54

classic uh but uh I did get a little bit

23:57

more detail on uh how the Getty survived

23:59

which I've already gone through how the

24:01

Getty survived uh brush clearing the

24:04

sort of ignition of very dry brush that

24:07

sort of looks like Rosemary where it

24:08

lights up on fire and then it burns

24:10

itself out because there's so little

24:11

fuel keeping tree canopies High blah

24:13

blah blah we covered a lot of that but

24:16

specifically they also used Acacia

24:19

shrubs and oak trees apparently both of

24:23

these are known for absorbing a lot of

24:26

water and they don't burn as easily or

24:30

potentially at all because they're wet

24:33

compared to obviously you know the

24:35

inside of your attic which is very very

24:37

dry another thing is because they have a

24:40

positive pressure air conditioning

24:42

system they actually blow air out of the

24:45

building you know how usually when you

24:47

have your air conditioning on inside of

24:49

your home and you kind of feel like

24:51

around the edge of a door you can kind

24:53

of feel air getting sucked into the home

24:56

because the blower motor is

24:59

and just sucking from everywhere well

25:02

that can actually suck Embers in it can

25:04

suck Embers into your attic vents it

25:06

could suck Embers through doors or

25:08

cracks or whatever well because they

25:11

pressurize their ventilation system it's

25:13

actually more

25:14

like pushes air out of the system and

25:18

out of the building and that keeps smoke

25:20

either compartmentalized or out but also

25:22

Embers out in addition to that they also

25:25

have their own 1 million gallon water

25:28

tank in another

25:30

50,000g water tank very interesting now

25:33

there's also talk about how Gavin Nome

25:35

reduced squa requirements I think this

25:37

is like nonsensical because like squa

25:40

let's be real like every time the

25:42

governor signs an executive order or a

25:43

law saying yeah get approvals done

25:45

within 30 days it still ends up taking a

25:47

year anyway because local governments

25:49

are like yeah we're not staffed for this

25:50

sorry so I've gone I've literally gone

25:53

through that so that is not coming from

25:55

a a place of trying to bager in

25:57

California it's I've been through the

26:00

system all right Dad joke of the day

26:03

what do you call a Mexican guy that gets

26:06

his car

26:08

stolen

26:12

Carlos okay uh now onto the Daily

26:16

Wealth

26:18

today quick one one of my favorite hacks

26:22

for actually getting things productively

26:24

done is make sure you schedule something

26:27

fun with your family or your friends for

26:30

me back in the day that used to be like

26:32

6:00 ventiki my ties and then you're

26:35

like trying to rush rush rush get

26:36

everything done done done done done so

26:38

you're ready to go get your my time now

26:40

it's like bowling with my 9-year-old and

26:42

so I love that big big big fan but

26:45

there's a hack to that when you actually

26:47

put something on the calendar that you

26:48

have control of you know it's like you

26:50

can go hey I'm going to be 15 minutes

26:52

later or whatever and just you just

26:53

leave the house 15 minutes later it's

26:54

not it's not like it's the hardest

26:56

deadline but because you have a deadline

26:58

you have something to achieve or plan

27:01

towards and then you actually pressure

27:02

yourself to get your work done so cool

27:04

little tricks anyway thanks so much for

27:06

watching uh still working on the set so

27:08

forgive me and we'll see you in the next

27:10

one all right folks thank you so much

27:11

goodbye and good luck why not advertise

27:13

27:15

feel like nobody else knows about this

27:16

we'll we'll try a little advertising and

27:18

see how it goes congratulations man you

27:19

have done so much people love you people

27:21
