my name is crystal and I'm going to be

demonstrating on how to make a sweet

potato pie today so first you need to

pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees so

while we're waiting for our oven to

preheat we have two pie crusts that have

nothing big um you can get those in the

frozen food section of your grocery

store I have two of those that I'm going

to place on a cookie sheet that has been

lined with aluminum foil which makes the

cleanup easier sometimes if the pies

bubble over a little bit so I'll be

placing these two pie shells on this

cookie sheet that is already lined with

aluminum foil and now we'll get the rest

of our ingredients for our pie that

we're going to make one today so first

I'm going to take my mixing bowl which I

have right here and I have a flat beater

that I'm going to hook to the mixer

we're ready to mix everything up right

now I had two cups of mashed sweet

potatoes

to scrape those into the bowl

now we have four tablespoons of melted

butter we have a half a cup of

granulated sugar a half a cup of brown

sugar two teaspoons of vanilla one and a

half teaspoons of cinnamon and three

eggs that have already been crashed into

a bowl which are eight

now comes the fun part we have our

mashed potatoes already in the bowl I am

going to pour in our melted butter I'm

going to do our brown sugar sugar so now

we will be transferring over to the

mixer to mix these things until they're

blended if you notice I didn't put the

eggs in yet that's just my preference

because I like to taste my batter before

I actually add the eggs to it but some

people mix everything up and then they

put it in their file so our oven has

preheated to 375 degrees so it's just

waiting for these things to get mixed up

pretty good put them in the pot shells

place them in the oven and bake them

depending on how hot your oven is say

for 45 minutes to an hour let's check

our bowl

so right now things our mix is getting

blended pretty good I may need to add a

little bit more milk to it

our batter is just about blended I

decided to add a little extra milk

because it was a little bit on the sick

side so I put about another tablespoon

full just you into the batter

and then I'm going to slowly add the

eggs one at a time one ain't going in

mix it up cute eggs going in now that we

have our mix blend it I'm going to be

pouring it into the pie shells that have

already been placed on the cookie sheet

that has the aluminum foil on it so

we're going to be pouring our battery

just what our batter looks like I'm

going to go ahead and start dumping it

into the bowl into the pie shell

so you've got batter all plates into our

pie shell and now we're going to place

these into a preheated oven that's warm

defin keeping on 375 degrees and we are

going to put a timer on those for about

45 minutes and we'll come back and check

to see if they are nice and golden-brown

and uh see if they're about ready to

come out of the oven here are the pies

after I put the filling in them before

they go in the oven

so let's get them into this preheated

oven that we have which is at 375

degrees

I'm going to put our timer on for 45

so our sweet potato pies came out really

awesome I checked them in about 40

minutes and they were ready to come out

so I took them out so here is what they

look like they are still warm so I'm

gonna put them on a baking rack let them

cool a bit and then I'll test them out

they smell delicious so hopefully from

watching my presentation slash

demonstration you should be able to bake

yourself up a sweet potato pie during

this upcoming fall season that we are in
