0:00

well we've got another crisis in the

0:03

Middle East this time it's occurring in

0:05

Sudan and once again the United States

0:07

of America has an opportunity to show

0:10

its Regional hegemonic strength in the

0:14

Middle East rather than continue down

0:16

the path of doing nothing the path of

0:19

doing nothing has unfortunately led to

0:22

Deals between Saudi Arabia Iran who used

0:25

to be horrible enemies now partnering

0:28

through a broker deal by China because

0:31

the United States isn't brokering deals

0:33

in the Middle East anymore of the 78

0:35

attacks against Americans and American

0:38

contractors in the Middle East we've

0:40

only responded to three of those attacks

0:42

we are coming across as very weak in the

0:45

Middle East well and this is why some

0:47

say the United States dollar is

0:49

potentially at risk of losing its

0:51

Reserve status now Wells Fargo argues we

0:54

are far away from losing the reserve

0:57

currency status of the world but a lot

0:59

lot of folks are concerned about the

1:01

future of America and American strength

1:04

given the potential weakening of America

1:07

in the Middle East and now we need to

1:10

discuss how America relates to

1:12

Sudan yes we now have a deadly crisis

1:16

and battle occurring in Sudan what you

1:19

have are two groups you have the

1:22

Sudanese Army and the Rival paramilitary

1:25

a group of fighting in Sudan these

1:29

groups well the paramilitary group is

1:31

the rapid support forces militia it's

1:35

just shortened the rsf and uh the rsf is

1:38

known for its scorched Earth tactics

1:41

they've got about 80 000 Fighters per

1:43

the international crisis group reports

1:45

and basically here's what hap what's

1:47

happening you're at about the third or

1:48

fourth day of violence now there are

1:51

somewhere around uh the last media

1:52

reports were somewhere around 100

1:54

fatalities already some are calling this

1:56

a civil war those numbers seem to be

1:59

rising right now let me take a peek here

2:02

this is the latest coming across the

2:04

wire Services U.S officials have been in

2:06

contact with military leaders in Sudan

2:09

urging them to end hostilities

2:10

immediately a UV and on United Nations

2:13

Envoy on Sudan says the warring parties

2:16

are not giving the impression that they

2:19

are open to mediation this is where

2:22

United States needs to potentially do

2:24

something now many people say no the

2:25

United States needs to do nothing but we

2:28

already provide foreign aid to all of

2:30

these countries Saudi Arabia is already

2:33

calling up the United States going yo

2:35

what should we do over here uh Sudan is

2:38

like right across the pond from us and

2:40

uh we need some help over here and the

2:43

more the United States actually does

2:44

nothing the weaker the dollar becomes

2:46

right so as easy it is to say the U.S

2:48

shouldn't be the World Police we send

2:50

hundreds of millions of dollars

2:52

sometimes billions of dollars to nations

2:54

in the Middle East and we do that to

2:57

maintain some semblance of control and

2:59

be the country that people call when

3:01

they need help well right now all we're

3:03

getting from our Administration is hey

3:05

guys stop fighting and the un's like uh

3:09

we're gonna need more than that because

3:11

there's no indication any kind of

3:13

fighting is going to stop three

3:15

individuals from the usaid have been

3:18

killed that is uh the um food Aid group

3:22

in Sudan trying to provide humanitarian

3:25

Aid and they have been killed so they've

3:27

now Frozen humanitarian Aid in the

3:29

region water facilities electrical grids

3:32

are being attacked and destroyed in the

3:34

capital of of Sudan a major water uh

3:38

facility has been damaged affecting

3:41

water delivery to uh millions of

3:44

individuals in Sudan a Yuan Envoy is now

3:47

reporting as of the last 15 minutes here

3:50

that at least 185 individuals have been

3:53

killed more than

3:55

1800 civilians and Fighters have been

3:58

wounded

3:59

the Pentagon uh is uh is is evaluating

4:04

but not really doing anything right now

4:05

and that's frustrating a lot of folks

4:07

again regarding the United States to

4:08

strength in the region

4:10

but uh what's really happening here is

4:12

you don't have a stable government in

4:16

Sudan it's worth knowing a little bit

4:18

about the history and this has been

4:20

going back and forth for a while think

4:23

about this the last major leader who had

4:27

the longest reign in recent history in

4:30

Sudan which by the way just knowing

4:32

where Sudan is might help a little bit

4:34

you've got Saudi Arabia to the right

4:36

then you've got Sudan just to the left

4:38

of it above it you have Egypt and this

4:40

so this is kind of in the Middle East

4:42

which is the no the upper right corner

4:45

of Africa is the way to think of it and

4:48

in 1989 you had Omar albashir who took

4:52

control via a military coup after

4:56

massive protests and 70 inflation so

5:00

you've got massive problems you've got a

5:02

financial problems in in Sudan you've

5:05

got leadership problems and really his

5:08

reign

5:09

continued until

5:11

2019. when you had yet another coup and

5:15

the military took over ordining ordering

5:17

a military imposed state of emergency

5:20

and arresting albashir then in September

5:24

of 2021 there was another failed coup

5:27

one month later another coup attempt two

5:31

months after that in January of 2022

5:33

what do you have the Prime Minister

5:35

quits

5:36

Darfur is one of the regions within

5:39

Sudan and it's where you're seeing a lot

5:41

of fighting that's happening though

5:42

fighting is really happening throughout

5:45

the entire country of of Sudan right now

5:47

in fact I'll throw up a uh a map in just

5:51

a moment here to show you where some of

5:52

this fighting is happening and you can

5:54

see how widespread the fighting actually

5:56

is the uh the fighting unfortunately uh

6:00

is also affecting the port of Sudan

6:03

which is problematic because the port of

6:06

Sudan is important for oil imports and

6:08

exports uh in the region that's leading

6:11

some to worry that oil prices could stay

6:13

higher for longer so far this violence

6:17

uh it doesn't seem to really I mean dare

6:20

I say hold a candle to what's happening

6:21

in Ukraine but it has the potential for

6:24

escalating and that's why a lot of folks

6:26

are paying attention to it let's listen

6:28

briefly to an Al Jazeera clip here where

6:31

we can get a little bit of an intro of

6:33

what it actually looks like on the

6:34

ground over there oh Christ along the

6:37

tarmac at Khartoum airport on a third

6:39

day of fighting between Sudan's Army and

6:42

the biggest and most powerful

6:43

paramilitary force

6:46

explosions airstrikes and gunshots are

6:49

heard across the capital as both sides

6:51

claimed they're making advances in

6:53

strategic areas but details on the

6:56

ground are unclear strategic areas by

6:58

the way are going to include military

7:00

bases airports and also the broadcasting

7:03

network right the broadcasting network

7:05

is Central to controlling what people

7:09

think in the region and that's important

7:11

because it's exactly why China controls

7:13

its media is why North Korea controls

7:15

its media it's why China and North Korea

7:17

by the way subsidize YouTubers who live

7:21

in North Korea or in China to Showcase

7:24

how wonderful it is to live in China or

7:27

North Korea it's propaganda this is

7:30

understandable this is normal every

7:33

country has always instituted propaganda

7:35

the United States is no exception to

7:37

that keep in mind in

7:39

2022 we gave 800 million dollars of

7:44

foreign aid to Sudan and they still

7:46

can't get their act together get a

7:49

massive power struggle here and the

7:52

problem is if the wrong side ends up

7:55

taking control of Sudan you could

7:57

potentially have another very strong

7:59

force that ends up aligning with our

8:03

enemies like Iran and Russia keep in

8:06

mind Egypt was just potentially

8:09

implicated in wanting to send thousands

8:13

of missiles that they manufacture to

8:16

Russia now that was just a consideration

8:19

but it's ridiculous that it was even a

8:21

consideration after we sent over two and

8:24

a half billion dollars of foreign aid to

8:27

Egypt over the last four years and that

8:30

bunny could now be being funneled to

8:32

manufacture weapons that are sold to

8:35

Russia basically using U.S dollars to

8:38

kill ourselves essentially or fight our

8:40

own money in Ukraine which is insane but

8:43

it shows you if the wrong power vacuum

8:47

is established or if there is a power

8:48

vacuum in Sudan

8:50

and the wrong Powers move in to then

8:53

control Sudan you could potentially have

8:55

a new alliance between Iran Egypt and

8:58

Sudan that then

9:00

forces Saudi Arabia to align with them

9:04

with Russia and China instead of the

9:08

United States this Sudan issue is a lot

9:11

greater and and my heart goes out to the

9:14

people who lose their lives in these

9:15

conflicts but this issue is a lot

9:17

greater than just oh it's some African

9:20

nation is warring again this is all

9:22

about oil the United States dollar and

9:25

what is the United States going to do to

9:28

make sure that we don't lose a country

9:30

like Sudan again a country we almost

9:32

gave a billion dollars to in 2022 how

9:35

what are we going to do to make sure we

9:36

don't lose them to Iran and when we lose

9:39

them to Iran we lose them to China and

9:43

Russia and that's the real concern here

9:45

so this fighting has just begun over the

9:47

last three to four days but it's going

9:49

to be something we have to pay attention

9:50

to the fighting is not backing down if

9:53

anything it's getting worse and

9:55

unfortunately this issue is starting to

9:57

to rhyme we hear this over and over and

9:59

over again and the pain just continues

10:01

and continues let's listen in for

10:03

another brief moment here to Al Jazeera

10:04

footage released by the Sudanese

10:06

military shows a number of Rapid support

10:08

forces troops surrendering their weapons

10:10

and equipment in Khartoum the Army says

10:13

it's resumed control of State TV and

10:15

will use it to update the public It also

10:18

says it's retaken marui airport in the

10:20

north but that conflicts with claims by

10:22

the rsf which says its men still control

10:25

the facility

10:27

yeah so there's a comment here from

10:30

Calvin Smith that says it's their choice

10:32

Kevin yes you're right but let me ask

10:35

you this would we rather have countries

10:38

Ally with the United States or with

10:41

China the reality is we could pretend

10:44

that we shouldn't have anything to do

10:47

with foreign Nations but if we pretend

10:49

that guess who wins China Iran and

10:52

Russia and potentially even North Korea

10:55

so you have to ask yourself would you

10:57

rather be involved in the other

10:59

countries or just stick our head in the

11:01

sand and pretend that we're happy over

11:04

here in the United States much like a

11:06

plane without an engine that might last

11:08

for a while but the more allies we lose

11:11

in the International Community the

11:14

weaker America becomes and so it's not

11:17

as easy as saying we should just mind

11:19

our own business we have as many we have

11:20

enough problems at home at home well

11:22

that's true while our political system

11:24

is broken by all means we should be able

11:28

to improve our education system our

11:30

health system uh the the rigging of

11:33

pricing at doctors offices and in a

11:35

Health Care system and and Drug

11:37

manufacturers we should be able to solve

11:39

a lot of the issues we have at home

11:41

we can't turn a blind eye to what's

11:43

happening in the Middle East because it

11:45

just increases the likelihood of World

11:47

War III
