0:00

India just attacked Pakistan. India and

0:03

Pakistan are both known to have over 170

0:07

nuclear weapons. And folks are now

0:09

concerned that this attack could

0:11

escalate into some form of broader war

0:14

or worse, nuclear warfare. Now, in this

0:17

video, I'm going to go through the

0:18

background as to why these attacks

0:20

happened and specifically what just

0:22

occurred. It's also worth noting that

0:24

Donald Trump is hanging a dare a carrot

0:27

of enthusiasm. just moments ago. He says

0:30

he is um very saddened to hear what's

0:33

happening between India and Pakistan.

0:35

But the good news is there's going to be

0:37

some earthshattering and positive

0:39

announcement to come within the next few

0:40

days. So it sounds like um he has some

0:43

kind of announcement up his sleeves.

0:45

Some people think that could be a

0:46

partial trade deal with the United

0:48

Kingdom and the United States on autos

0:51

and steel tariffs TBD, but so far Donald

0:54

Trump doesn't have much of a comment on

0:55

exactly what's going on. So apparently

0:57

uh footage of from this event uh that's

1:00

circulating right now. It seems to I

1:03

mean to me it almost makes it feel like

1:05

people were anticipating this. We have

1:07

uh what appear to be law enforcement

1:09

vehicles blocking the road ahead. Uh and

1:12

then we could see a missile strike with

1:15

a lot of people held on the road. Uh

1:17

fortunately so far it looks like one

1:20

child was killed though and a few other

1:23

were injured. TBD. how many more

1:25

casualties will end up being reported.

1:27

But here is a video footage uh of the

1:30

strike. It's one of them.

1:39

Now uh India claims that this is a

1:42

strike against terrorist infrastructure

1:45

in Pakistani controlled regions within

1:48

the Kashmir region uh in response to the

1:52

terrorist attack within India uh or

1:55

India's uh region where 26 uh individual

1:59

civilians were killed by terrorists. Now

2:02

uh Pakistan has rejected any of their

2:05

involvement uh in in their in this

2:07

attack and they call these allegations

2:09

false. Uh but just two weeks ago on the

2:12

22nd of April we saw the worst terrorist

2:14

attack in decades in uh India. Uh and

2:18

India blames Pakistan for this. Again

2:20

Pakistan disagrees. However, since then,

2:23

we've started to see escalations really

2:25

start picking up and it culminated today

2:28

or some say started today with a strike

2:31

on nine sites in Pakistani operated

2:34

areas. Two mosques were apparently hit

2:37

per Pakistan. Pakistan says Indian

2:40

planes did not enter Pakistani airspace

2:43

uh in that all uh of the targets were

2:46

civilian targets. None of them were

2:49

military infrastructure targets. India

2:51

calls this operation synindor. They also

2:54

specify that they did not target any

2:56

Pakistani military. However, again, one

2:59

child appears to be uh you know dead as

3:03

a result of this attack. uh India says

3:05

they exercise considerable restraint in

3:07

the selection of these targets and some

3:09

of the escalation that we've seen over

3:11

just the past few weeks has been uh not

3:13

only after the attack the promise by

3:15

India to hunt down terrorists uh in in

3:18

in the region who attacked India but

3:22

also limiting uh the potential flow of

3:25

water in a six decade water sharing

3:28

treaty called the Indis waters treaty.

3:31

This is potentially a way for India to

3:33

divert water away from Pakistan or to

3:35

utilize more water that is otherwise

3:37

flowing towards Pakistan for their

3:40

hydroelectric power production or

3:42

irrigation for their farmland. Pakistan

3:44

and India had already been limiting

3:46

travel between the two countries for

3:48

quite a while. But just recently we've

3:50

had airlines banned uh from uh landing

3:54

uh in opposing airports and we've also

3:56

locked down border crossings. Bus travel

3:59

had already been limited. India canceled

4:01

almost all visas recently for

4:03

Pakistanis. There's a deadline for them

4:05

to return. Ships carrying or flying the

4:09

flag of the other country can't dock in

4:12

a port of the other country. So

4:13

basically no Pakistani ships in India,

4:15

no Indian ships in Pakistan. Pakistan

4:18

banned trade with India. Though trade

4:20

was already quite limited after 2019.

4:22

These conflicts have been going on for

4:24

quite a while. It's worth remembering

4:26

that uh over twothirds of India maybe

4:29

even more is uh Hindu or practices

4:32

Hinduism uh where you know people say as

4:35

much as 80% of India is Hindu with the

4:38

exception of like Jamu one of the

4:40

capitals of the Kashmir region. The

4:42

capitals switch depending on whether

4:43

it's winter or summer. I know that's

4:45

kind of weird but uh in Jamu for example

4:47

66% of the population is Hindu but most

4:49

of the Kashmir region is is is

4:53

essentially Muslim individuals are

4:55

Muslims or followers of Islam right so

4:57

you potentially have some religious

5:00

tension uh between uh the Hindu and

5:04

Muslim side Pakistan is also

5:06

substantially poorer than India. Let's

5:08

pull up a quick GDP look here. India GDP

5:11

for uh 2023 was about $3.5 trillion.

5:16

It's worth noting that we were somewhere

5:18

around 26. So that makes India's economy

5:21

about 7.4 times smaller than ours. So

5:24

our economy in the United States

5:25

obviously a lot larger. Uh but if you

5:28

then compare to Pakistan, Pakistan's

5:31

economy is about onetenth the size of

5:32

India's. So as much as we are seven

5:35

times larger than India, Pakistan is 10

5:37

times smaller uh than India with a GDP

5:40

of just 337 billion in 2023 and a lot of

5:44

their country being relative and

5:46

government being relatively reliant on

5:48

international monetary fund loans and

5:51

loan programs and aid programs leading

5:53

India to suggest that the IMF should

5:56

really be looking into and reviewing

5:57

these loans to Pakistan because they're

6:00

frustrated that Pakistan is essentially

6:02

getting money. uh that India alleges is

6:05

being used to funnel crossborder

6:07

terrorist activity against uh Indians.

6:12

So uh all of this very important

6:14

especially since both of these are

6:15

nuclear powers. Now the question is well

6:18

the Indian army says they're responding

6:20

in a calibrated manner. What kind of

6:21

retaliation are we going to see from

6:23

Pakistan? There is talk that Pakistan is

6:25

going to respond. Apparently Pakistani

6:28

media is already looking into or or

6:31

reporting that there are counteratt

6:33

attacks being conducted on India. This

6:35

is very unclear right now and I haven't

6:37

seen any kind of reporting on that. Uh

6:39

as far as I could tell there have been

6:40

nine strikes against strike locations

6:42

within Pakistan and Pakistani occupied

6:44

territory. Uh Pakistan has so far only

6:48

reported uh five different hits. Uh now

6:51

if we look at a breakdown sort of a

6:54

Kashmir uh map if you will it's worth

6:56

remembering that there are actually

6:58

three regions uh of control in the

7:01

Kashmir area. You've got the Indian

7:03

control uh you have Chinese control uh

7:07

and this is just a random photo here

7:08

that I think is actually pretty useful

7:10

for looking at this. Uh and then you

7:12

have the uh Pakistani control here.

7:14

Here's another useful map from National

7:16

Geographic and it shows you the Kashmir

7:18

region which you know originally was

7:20

just a valley but has really expanded

7:22

since then. You could see towards the

7:25

east you've got China in red. Towards

7:27

the west you've got Pakistan and towards

7:29

the south you've got uh India. Abadabad

7:32

is also relatively close uh to this

7:34

region here which what's interesting

7:36

about that is that is where uh Osama bin

7:39

Laden was killed. uh not within the

7:41

Kashmir region but very close to the

7:43

border of it uh for what that's worth.

7:45

But anyway, this is the area of

7:47

conflict. Uh this is where you know

7:49

attacks are being uh conducted again uh

7:52

by India uh into the Pakistani region uh

7:56

of this Kashmir area here. So uh watch

8:00

for this story to develop. We'll see

8:02

exactly what's going on. I'll keep you

8:03

updated with what's going on here.

8:05

8:07
